(A/N): Hey Guys! So, this is the next chapter... I hope you like it!
Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

"Wait, wait. So, what you're telling me, is that Leo," Sirius paused for a second, eyes wide. "Our friend, Leo... Is a vampire?" Elaine and I shared a weak look.
"Pretty much," She said, and his gaze fell as he mulled this new information over.
"Exactly," I added, and Sirius locked eyes with me.
"So... that's how Leo knew you were a werewolf?"
I shrugged. "I guess so." Sirius nodded, still looking dumbstruck.
"I-" Elaine was cut off as a walking shadow of a man entered the Hog's Head, and McGonagall jumped up from her place at a table reasonably nearby- where she had been keeping an eye on the three of us while trying to intrude as little as possible.
"Greygorry!" The man remained expressionless. "Leo has run off, and I was wondering-"
He folded his arms over his chest. "You were wondering if I can catch him and bring him back." McGonagall nodded, and Greygorry visibly sighed. "This is going to take a while." McGonagall raised an eyebrow. "Leo may be cocky, but he's fast, I'll give him that. And if he doesn't want to return, I won't be able to force him."
McGonagall looked bewildered, and more than a little skeptical. "He's a half-vampire, you're a full-" Greygorry cut her off.
"Half-vampire, part-veela. In about a year, he'll be stronger than the average vampire. As it is, he gave me a run for my money." He pulled up his shirt, revealing a set of bruises across the ribs. "Don't underestimate that boy, Minerva."
As Greygorry reached the door, Professor McGonagall seemed to remember something. "Oh, and Greygorry?" He turned his head to look at her. "If you see Cipicia Joannis out there..." She smiled slightly. "Bring her to me," She said, a murderous quality to her tone.
Elaine and I slowly turned back to Sirius after Greygorry left without a word. "Who was that?" Was Sirius's inevitable first question, and we shrugged.
"No clue."
He was silent for a minute, then jolted like he'd been physically shocked. "Wait a minute, that crazy blonde bitty was Leo's mother?!" Elaine and I glanced at each other before nodding.
"And he's a half-vampire, part-veela," Elaine pointed out, but Sirius waved her off.
"That doesn't matter. She hit him with the cruciatus curse, Laney! What the hell is going on?"
Elaine gaped at him for a minute before crossing her arms over her chest- and delivered the hard truth of it. "From what we can figure out, Leo's mother didn't know he was a vampire for years, and that's why she kicked him out when he was seven. She, and his stepfather were awful to him- tortured him pretty much- and that's why Leo's so down on himself." She paused for a second, gathering herself before she half-whispered, "He thinks he's a monster."
(A/N): Please check out my other stories!
This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 30/12/22 - Changed McGonagall telling Greygorry to kill Cipicia if he sees her, to her telling Greygorry to bring Cipicia to her if he sees her- with the implication that McGonagall would kill like to kill her instead.
This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 15/2/24 - changed 'mom' to 'mother', because not only is 'mom' not British, I don't think Sirius would be in the habit of calling even other people's mother's 'mum', especially one like Cipicia.
This chapter had had edits made to it on 3/3/24 - formatting, and reconfiguring of sentences so they make a bit more sense.
This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 4/5/24 - changed Greygorry rolling his eyes to him folding his arms over his chest, because I don't think he'd roll his eyes at McGonagall (at least not about something like this). As you can probably guess by the fact that he called her Minerva later, they're more than just casual acquaintances. I also changed it so Greygorry referred to him as Leo, rather than Leonides, since Leo was so clear with him about that and Greygorry already acquiesced (and he knows that wherever Leo is, he can probably hear them). I also added Remus describing Greygorry as 'a walking shadow of a man' when he first entered, because I thought that was both fitting, and something Remus would think (even without knowing that Greygorry is a vampire).
