(A/N): Hey Guys! So, I just wrote this chapter... I know it's short, sorry.

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

Leo

I didn't go very far. I could hear every part of the conversation the others were having from my position atop the Astronomy tower, and as Elaine returned to them, I rapidly became the most interesting topic. "Where's Leo?" Was the first thing out of Brooke's mouth, which probably wasn't all that surprising considering she'd really only been there for me, and me alone.

"He's busy," Elaine replied, glaring at her- though whether that was because of what had happened earlier to have them at each other's throats, or because she didn't like the fact that Brooke and I were kind of sort of maybe involved, I couldn't even begin to try to figure out- and the others decided to push on, used to my habit of disappearing by now. I stayed up there for about an hour, just listening to them talk. I hadn't spent time- proper, quality, happy time- with them for a long, long while, and I missed it. I missed them.

I stood, perching delicately at the edge of the rooftop, looking out over the grounds towards the forest. The night air was freezing, I could tell, but I could barely actually feel the cold temperature- a blessing and a curse, really. I walked along the edge of the roof before I was out of the sight of the large opening in the top level of the astronomy tower, and took one step forward- right off the edge. The air rushed up past my face, and I watched the ground fly toward me as I fell.

(A/N): So, what did you think?

This chapter has had edits made to it on 24/3/24 - formatting, and reconfiguring of sentences so they make more sense. I added Leo saying he wasn't sure whether Elaine was mad because she was still angry at Brooke or because she was jealous, so yes, this already extremely short chapter used to be even shorter.
