(A/N): Hey Guys! So, this one's a little shorter, but I have more chapters to come, so... yay? I guess.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognise.

Leo

Later that night, I sat with Brooke, Aria, Ezra and Farryse in the common room, Brooke and I tangled up in an armchair, the others taking a couch.

When the Marauders entered with Elaine, I pretended not to notice, which was pretty easy considering only Brooke knew they were my friends.

They took seats on the floor around the armchair Lily had reclaimed for herself, and she gave Remus and Elaine a small smile before returning to her book.

Brooke nudged me in the side, and I flashed her a grin, chuckling at something Ezra had said, and I could tell by the look on her face that she could see right through it.

Being bigger than Brooke, I was on the outside, my legs dangling at the edge of the chair as she was curled up facing me, her smaller frame swamped by mine, though she was taller than both Lily and Elaine.

My arms were around her, one of her hands in mine, the other one pressed lightly against my stomach.

We were listening to Aria, Ezra and Farryse's conversation, occasionally contributing, but eventually the common room began to empty.

Farryse left first, yawning, and soon after this the Marauders went to their dorm room, Lily having slapped James over the back of the head.

From there, she grabbed Elaine's hand, dragging her towards the girls dormitory, flashing me a small smile as she did so.

"Who was that?" Ezra asked, and I opened my mouth to reply, but Brooke cut me off.

"Lily, she's Leo's best friend." He raised an eyebrow.

"What about the cute brunette? What's her name?" I barely managed to choke back a growl in the form of a cough, and Brooke giggled at my reaction.

"Elaine's kind of taken, Ezra." Both his and Aria's eyebrows shot up.

"What?" Aria growled, and Brooke rolled her eyes.

"Leo's like me, Aria, he's part veela." I was surprised that they knew about her condition and more angry that she had told them about mine so freely. "He's in love with Elaine, but he won't date her in case he hurts her." She paused for a second before turning to me. "By the way, why does James have blood on his collar?"

A seemingly innocent question, but I winced nonetheless.

"I may have hit him." Her eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"What? Why?" I shrugged weakly.

"He was being a prick, that's why." She stared at me until I gave a better answer. "He basically said that I shouldn't be dating you because I lo- like Elaine." I refused to say love, especially about someone else in front of my girlfriend.

"And you hit him for that?" Ezra asked incredulously, and I shrugged.

"Well, he was a lot meaner about it, and he has been rather rude to you ever since you started 'getting in the way.'" She shrugged, acknowledging the fact. "So I broke his nose."

"You broke his nose?!" Her head snapped up.

"He's lucky I didn't kill him."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

James is being a butthead. Ugh.
