CLOUD´S SIBLING

The meeting

Hello there! I hope you don´t mind this story of mine but I just fell in love with Aerith, she´s such a sweetie! And then, as everything that happens in my life, I ask myself 'how would Lightning behave if she were to meet Aerith?' And since Dissidia didn´t provide, then thank God for fanfiction!

Hope you like this little story!

Aerith is happily humming a song while she returns from her daily journey to the LOVELESS street. She´s particularly happy because she got to sell all her flowers. All of them! In a single day! Now she can truly help Elmyra with the house needs!

"And… maybe even buy something for myself?"

The girl giggles at the thought of new clothes or ribbons when suddenly, a familiar figure appears in her line of vision. Only, that figure isn't as familiar as she first thought.

Standing in front of the large TV displaying the Midgard news, there's a person dressed in the typical SOLDIER uniform: a dark turtleneck shirt, cargo pants, and military boots. However, the sword on their back is quite different from the one Cloud usually carries. This person's sword, though also large, is slender and flamboyant, with a handle that is somewhat shaped like a... gun?

But what really draws Aerith´s attention are the broad hips and slim waist—a delicate frame that contrasts sharply with the power of the outfit and the blade. Even more striking are the incredibly beautiful pink locks that cascade over the person's slender shoulders.

"Is that… a girl? A SOLDIER girl?"

Aerith can't resist the temptation and approaches the woman slowly. Though a bit afraid, her curiosity is far stronger. She leans forward from the waist, bringing her face into the SOLDIER's line of vision.

"Emh… excuse me? Are you lost? Can I… can I help you?"

The woman looks down at her, surprise evident on her face at finding an unknown girl so close. Aerith, for her part, can't hide the amazement in her eyes. Before her stands a vision of beauty: an angelic face with striking blue-gray eyes that resemble jewels, framed by long eyelashes that give them an impossible depth. Aerith is rendered speechless by the sheer beauty in front of her.

"Er… yes, I´m… I´m looking for Seventh Heaven. But I think I might be lost."

Aerith's mouth falls open at the sound of the husky, sexy voice that meets her ears. She quickly harrumphs and shakes her head, snapping herself out of the daze she had fallen into once her brain registers that the woman had spoken to her.

"Oh! Sure but… may I ask why would you want to go there? I´m sure there are plenty of nicer bars to go to." It's just a diversion because she truly can't say those words – Tifa would kill her – but she really can't lead this stranger to her friend's place, can she?

To her utter surprise, the woman's angelic face blushes, making her look even cuter. Aerith can't help but giggle.

"Er… well I´m…" The woman sighs and shakes her head. Now, she's forced to do exactly what she didn't want to do: give away personal information to a stranger. But if she wants the information she needs, she guesses she has to reciprocate. With another heavy sigh, she locks her baby blue eyes onto the emerald ones of the beautiful flower girl. "You see, I´m… looking for my brother. He sent me a letter to find him there, but the idiot failed to mention where said place is."

"And who´s your brother?"

"Cloud Strife. Do you happen to know him?"

Aerith's eyes widen in surprise. Cloud? Her brother? After a few moments of stunned silence, the flower girl struggles to contain her excitement. She fights the urge to leap up and squeal like a fangirl, but her body betrays her as she instinctively clasps the stranger's arm to her chest. A cheesy grin spread across her pink lips causes the woman's blush to deepen even more.

"H-hey!"

"Don´t worry, missy! I´ll get you to your brother safe and sound! He happens to be one of my best friends, you know?"

A delicate eyebrow arches with distrust in her blue eyes, yet for reasons she can´t quite comprehend, the woman allows the petite girl to do as she pleases.

"Emh… really? And who might you be?"

"My name is Aerith Gainsborough, and yours?"

"Lightning… Lightning Farron."

Aerith´s delicate eyebrow rises in surprise.

"But… Cloud is Strife, how come you don´t share his last name?"

Lightning shrugs, even the girl continues to tug at her arm.

"Well… it´s a very long story, I guess."

Aerith smiles brightly as she tugs at her arm, urging her to follow.

"Then we shouldn´t worry, Lightning, because the walk is rather long, we´ll have time for that!"

Lightning sighs heavily as she allows the girl to lead her to her brother, shaking her head in dismay.

What did I get myself into…?
