"We're moving to Earth?" asked Vyorin.
"To be precise, we are moving to Starbase 1 which orbits Earth." corrected T'Lyra.
Aurora said, "That's where the human side of the family lives."
"Big brother Siegfried and big sister S'Harien live there too." said Erik.
"When are we leaving?" asked the twins at the same time.
T'Lyra replied, "We ship out in two weeks so everything will need to be packed and ready."

Fleet Captain Naruto was in his new command chair and turned to his helmsman. "Thrusters at station keeping Rafi."
"All decks report in green." said Alison Fairbanks.
M'rella reported, "FRD-12 reports all tractor links and gravity pylons are cleared. We are free floating."
Shizuka Nadeshiko said, "All decks are fully secured."
"Thrusters ahead one quarter Rafi." said Naruto. "Take us out."
For the first time in over a decade, the U.S.S. Wolverine was moving under her own power…

Chapter 98
Stardate 2298.067, 40 Eridani A System, Planet Vulcan, City of ShiKahr, M'Fau Compound
The M'Fau children were all racing about getting things packed to move under T'Lyra's careful direction. Using chakra, they could travel via the ceiling and walls as well as the floor. Fortunately, T'Lyra was a virtual island of calm amidst this sea of chaos. She likened the situation to loading a starship for a cruise. Everything would work out in the end but getting there was a difficult process.
Starfleet would provide movers to take care of the larger items, but the smaller items needed to be packed by the family. T'Lyra was looking over her tablet at the floorplan of their new quarters that would be on Starbase 1 and was mentally cataloging all the arrangements she wanted to make.
Vyorin came running in and said, "My first list is complete Mother." The brown haired ten-year-old boy was clearly excited. The children were familiar with space travel thanks to them owning the Runabout but the idea of moving out of the system had them all enthused.
T'Lyra ruffled her son's spiky hair and said, "Let me inspect things before we move to list two."
Each of the children had three lists to accomplish in sequence and were doing their best to do things in a logical order. Their Mother was generally pleased with Vyorin's packing job and helped him neaten things up a bit.
She said, "Vyorin, since you are ahead of the others, try to help your brothers and sisters finish their first lists before moving on to list two."
"Yes Mother, I'll go check on Sakuya and Erik first." he replied.
She gave him a tiny smile. "That's my boy."

Stardate 2298.070, Sol System, Planet Jupiter Orbit, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine, Bridge
Naruto was at the engineering console as the crew put the Wolverine through her paces. He was making tiny adjustments to the warp field to squeeze a little more performance out of the new configuration.
"Acceleration, deceleration, pitch, yaw and previous top cruising speeds have all been matched or bettered." reported Rafi with a smile. "She's running smooth as glass Fleet Captain."
Naruto looked at his datapad and got on the comm. "Engineering, this is M'Fau. How are things looking down there?"
"Chief Christianson here." answered Freyja. "All systems are green. We finally got the port warp engine up to 100%. Things look good despite the bugs we had initially Fleet Captain."
The blonde Vulcan said, "Keep me posted Chief. I want everything in top shape before we declare the ship fully operational again."
"Understood Fleet Captain." replied the Chief Engineer.
Lieutenant Thera Sorkalif was on the bridge and watched the synergy of the command crew. 'They all work flawlessly together.' she thought. 'I've never seen anything like it.'
…
Soon, Naruto was sitting in the command chair ordering maneuvers and firing live against various automated moving targets at the Jupiter Firing Range.
Both Shizuka and Samui took turns on firing passes as they adjusted to the new weapons console layouts. The learning curve was steep, but they were up to the task.
The only area none of them had previous experience with was operating under cloak. Thera Sorkalif knew about cloaks, but she had been in sciences and communications rather than tactical operations. The new Mark 2 cloaking device hadn't been tested operationally yet, so it was up to the crew of the Wolverine to figure it out. They were used to silent running so (in theory) operating under cloak would be similar.
"So basically, we are writing the manual on Federation cloaking devices?" asked Konohamaru.
Naruto nodded. "That is essentially correct Commander Sarutobi. The NCC-2700 U.S.S. Loknar*① was the first to test the Mark 1 cloak successfully but it was strictly a testbed. The Mark 2 cloak we have is an operational system…or so they say."
"You don't sound confident in the new cloaking device technology Fleet Captain." said Thera.
"I'm not, Lieutenant." replied Naruto. "We've only had fifteen years since we captured a fully operational ship with a cloak*②. I believe that Starfleet was too hasty in deploying cloaks so soon. Time will tell if I am correct or not."
She smiled in return. "Time will tell indeed."

While the U.S.S. Wolverine was being put through various tests, T'Lyra and the children were boarding a Federation Starliner S.S. Phoenix bound for Starbase 1. 'The movers have picked up everything. Now it is just a matter of keeping six children occupied on a four-day flight to Earth.' thought T'Lyra. 'This may prove a more difficult task than the packing.'
She turned to her children who were all dressed in their crimson M'Fau robes and sandals. They each had a small backpack with tablets and other items to keep them busy during their voyage. 'I hope it is enough.' "Alright little ones, it is time to go." said T'Lyra. "Stay in line and follow me."
"Yes, Mother." chimed all the children as one.
T'Lyra started walking along with the children in tow. "It will be four days until we reach our destination and during that time, I expect model behavior and no pranks."
The children all gasped. "No pranks?" asked Rory in a tiny voice.
"You heard me, Aurora. Not even one. That goes for all of you." answered T'Lyra in a steely tone.
"Yes, Mother." said all the little ones in defeat.

40 Eridani A System, S.S. Phoenix
The S.S. Phoenix was a typical sleeper transport. It was designed for short trips and was cramped. There was a communal area where bathrooms, showers and a restaurant/lounge were but most of the ship was made up of small cabins with four bunks each. T'Lyra had Erik and Sakuya in her cabin as they were the youngest. The twins, Vyorin and Aurora were in the adjacent cabin…
…
The Children's Cabin
R'raak and Niwara were both covering their sensitive noses. "This ship smells awful." commented Niwara.
"I agree sister." R'raak said to his twin. They both looked nauseous.
Aurora and Vyorin weren't doing much better. "Mother said the ship would have lots of foreign odors, but I had no idea." stated Aurora.
Vyorin nodded. "We may need nasal numbing agents for the twins. As sensitive as our noses are, R'raak and Niwara are even more so being half Caitian."
Aurora went over to her Mother's cabin and knocked. Erik opened the door and said, "Hi Rory. Mother is expecting you."
The young redhead entered and said to T'Lyra, "Mother, the twins are sick from the smell of this place."
If T'Lyra was surprised, she didn't show it. "I'll get some numbing agents for Niwara and R'raak. Are you and Vyorin alright Aurora? You aren't feeling nauseous, are you?"
Aurora replied. "Vyorin and I are okay even though it smells gross. It's the twins that I'm worried about."
…
T'Lyra soon gave the twins numbing agents and they were feeling better but not great. It was obvious to her that their tails were drooping, and they felt sick from the various scents in the air. She stepped out into the hall and was considering putting the twins in with her and the eight-year-olds in with Vyorin and Aurora instead.
While trying to come to the most logical conclusion, T'Lyra's thoughts were interrupted when a human male came out in the hall from the opposite cabin. He admired her luscious curves and said, "Hey there beautiful, how would you like to get some drinks in the lounge? I'll even buy."
She narrowed her eyes at the man and said, "I will have to decline, my children are in need of my care."
"You don't look old enough to have children." he said while leering at her.
Vyorin came out in the hall and said, "Mother, the twins want to sleep." He looked at the man harassing his Mother and asked, "May I help you?"
"He was just leaving." replied T'Lyra in a flat tone. "Let's get the twins in my cabin and Erik and Sakuya in your cabin Vyorin."
The man watched bug eyed as the children switched cabins and asked, "Just how many children do you have lady?"
"I have six." Seeing the little ones had exchanged places, she added, "Good day to you sir." and went into her cabin.

Stardate 2298.082, Sol System, Planet Jupiter Orbit, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine, Engineering
While T'Lyra and the children were having a miserable trip, Naruto was focusing on getting the bugs out of the refitted Wolverine. Most of the problems seemed to be tied into the new deflector grid which had been redesigned to work with the cloaking device and the blonde Fleet Captain had given Lieutenant Emma Forester of the Think Tank carte blanche to get things working the way they should.
Kloene was talking to one of their new cloaking device technicians. "If there's anyone on this ship that knows deflector grids, it's Emma. She'll figure it out. It's just a matter of time. The problems with the cloaking device are all tied into it."
"But it worked perfectly in dock." said the tech.
"The Wolverine also wasn't moving at the time." replied Kloene.
…
Bridge
Thera Sorkalif had been very confident in the new Federation cloaking device, but the cloak had failed utterly when the ship was moving. The Romulan woman was discouraged. 'It seems that Fleet Captain Naruto was correct. The cloaking device is a failure.'
Emma Forester was basically reprogramming the whole cloaking system with the help of Daniel Simmons, the cloaking team, and the rest of the engineering staff. Emma said over the comm, "The cloak will work in theory but in application it's useless unless we are at station keeping. This is going to take some time."
"We will keep working on the other problems we've narrowed down while you get the cloak in order Emma." said Naruto. "Take as much time as you need."
"Understood, Fleet Captain." replied Forester.
Sorkalif said, "You are putting a lot of faith in Lieutenant Forester, sir."
"Of course, I am." stated Naruto. "If she can't figure it out, no one else on this ship can."
…
Stardate 2298.085, Sol System, Starbase 1, Spacedock, Berth 6, S.S. Phoenix
After an awful voyage, the M'Fau family got off the S.S. Phoenix and entered Starbase 1 where the air was much cleaner. The children all had sick headaches and couldn't wait to get their new quarters that they all hoped were odor free.
"The air cleansers are much better in Starfleet facilities than civilian ships." explained T'Lyra. "I believe you will all find it much more tolerable."
"Almost anything would be an improvement." said R'raak through sniffles.
Niwara sneezed. "I agree. My head hurts."
The M'Fau children were all looking around at the colossal structure around them. Truthfully, they were amazed despite the fact they all felt bad.
"I read the large mushroom shaped top is for Starfleet use and the area below it is the hospital and living quarters*③." said Aurora. "Is that where we'll be living Mother?"
"Yes, both civilian and Starfleet families live here." replied T'Lyra. "I never really explored Spacedock very much as my home was on the Wolverine. This will be new for all of us. It is essentially a city in space."
"Fascinating." said Erik. "Is there a school here as well?"
T'Lyra nodded. "As I understand it, there is a section primarily made up of Vulcan families. We will be living there."
Sakuya said, "I hope they teach the martial arts."
"We will see Sakuya." said her Mother. "Right now, we need to go through the immigration process. Get out the identification cards I gave you, so you'll be prepared."
Processing newcomers was a simple matter once their identifications were verified. Since their parents were in Starfleet, most of the children's data was already in the Spacedock's memory banks.
…
The children were scheduled for full physicals at the Starbase 1 Hospital as well as tests to see what their education should be for school placement. T'Lyra organized it all on her datapad and then took the kids down to their new quarters.
"There are twelve rooms so each member of our family will have a room to themselves." said T'Lyra to the children. "Pick your rooms so we can bring your belongings in and set them up."
"Given there are two clusters of six rooms each, I suggest we children take one cluster and have the adults take the other." said Vyorin.
"How will we pick our own rooms though?" asked Sakuya.
Erik frowned. "We could choose in order age, by gender or alphabetically."
"Which alphabet though?" asked Niwara. "Vulcan Golic or Federation standard?"
"Perhaps we should rely on chance." suggested Aurora. "I have my pair of lucky dice like Mama's I always carry."
"An excellent solution." stated R'raak. "We can assign each room a number and each one of us a number and roll the dice to decide."
…
While the children were rolling the bones, T'Lyra picked out a room for herself and set her duffle bag on her new bed. 'It's going to be lonely without Naruto and the girls here. Taking care of all six children will be a task but I am up to the challenge…I wonder where Naruto is now and what he's doing…'
…
Planet Mars Orbit, Utopia Planitia Shipyards, Floating Repair Dock 12, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine, Captain's Quarters
After twenty days of extensive testing, the U.S.S. Wolverine was back in dock getting her troublesome cloaking device serviced along with an assortment of other minor problems. Naruto was in his quarters looking at the holographic projector he had on his desk that scrolled through images of his family. He was worried. "I haven't heard from T'Lyra or the children yet. I hope they are well. The data shows the S.S. Phoenix docked five hours ago.'
Deciding to be proactive, Naruto called T'Lyra on her personal communicator. She picked up quickly and said, "T'Lyra here. Is that you Naruto?"
Naruto felt relief hearing her voice. "It's me T'Lyra, how are you doing?"
"I am tired but well." replied the brunette. "The children were all exhausted and went to bed in their new rooms."
"How was the trip?" asked Naruto. "Did the children behave?"
There was warmth in her voice. "The little ones did as well as they could. They were all ill to varying degrees due to the smells. They are alright now though. How are things with you?"
The Fleet Captain sighed. "We are working the bugs out of the Wolverine. I can't really say more for security reasons. I miss you."
"I miss you too." she replied. "I am going to rest now. Tomorrow we should have our video screen set up and we all can talk."
"Rest well my love." said the blonde. "Tell the children I love them too."
"I will. Goodnight my love." T'Lyra said.
After the Fleet Captain signed off, he thought, 'At least they are all safe and well.'
…
Stardate 2298.086, Sol System, Starbase 1, Spacedock, M'Fau Family Quarters
The next morning, T'Lyra found her children were all awake and bright eyed. They were eager to explore. After eating breakfast from the food processor, she said, "The first order of business is to go to the hospital and get physicals. This is routine but be aware they may be curious about your hybrid natures so be prepared to answer extra questions."
…
A human doctor was going over the results of the checkups with T'Lyra three hours later. She said, "Your children are almost ridiculously healthy Mrs. T'Lyra. I've cross-referenced the records from the hospital on Vulcan and everything is just perfect. They've had their inoculations brought up to date as well. Do you have any questions for me?"
T'Lyra was scanning over the records of the examinations on her datapad and said, "Everything is in order. I have no questions."
The doctor smiled at the Vulcan woman and said, "If anything comes up, let us know."
…
Planet Mars Orbit, Utopia Planitia Shipyards, Floating Repair Dock 12, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine
While his children were getting their physicals, Naruto was speaking to Commander Steven Cain of the Starfleet Engineering Division over subspace who was behind the development of the Mark 2 cloaking device. Cain said, "There is no reason the Mark 2 cloak should not work Fleet Captain. It worked perfectly in dock, and the Mark 1 functioned as advertised."
"Yet, once we are underway, even at impulse speeds, the cloak fails." said the Fleet Captain. "That is why I have Lieutenant Forester looking into the matter. She agrees with your assessment that it should work in theory, but it does not. That is why I want the data on the Mark 1 cloak made available for her to review."
"And why would this Lieutenant Forester be able to do something which my techs aboard the Wolverine cannot?" asked Cain irritably. "They have years of experience with cloaks, and she has none."
The blonde Vulcan replied, "It is my belief that a fresh approach could yield results. Her knowledge of deflector shield grids enabled the improvements made to the shielding in the X-ships. There may be something that she will see that others have overlooked."
Commander Cain looked up Lieutenant Emma Forester on his computer and saw she had multiple degrees in defense system engineering. "I can see why you feel that she is qualified. I'll have to clear this with Rear Admiral Tolm."
Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Then get to it man! Time is being wasted."
"Yes sir." replied the Commander.
…
Planet Earth, San Francisco, Starfleet Headquarters, Bureau of Design & Repair
Commander Cain reported into Rear Admiral Lucian Tolm's office at Naruto's request. "…And furthermore, I can't see why a mere Lieutenant of the so-called Think Tank could figure out something my engineering team can't."
Lucien smiled. "I understand your indignation Commander, but I've known Fleet Captain Naruto since he was a Cadet. He wouldn't make such a request if it wasn't necessary. Other than a few bruised egos, will it hurt to let Lieutenant Forester se the data on the Mark 1 cloak?"
Steven Cain sighed. "I suppose not sir. She's already neck deep in the Mark 2 cloak anyway."
"Go ahead and send the requested data to Naruto then Commander." said the old Admiral. "I wouldn't be surprised if she comes up with a solution."
Cain saluted, "I guess we'll see sir."
…
Stardate 2298.088, Planet Mars Orbit, Utopia Planitia Shipyards, Floating Repair Dock 12, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine
Lieutenant Emma Forester was looking over the Mark 1 Cloak with a critical eye and ran a few simulations over the next few hours. Suddenly a realization hit her. She facepalmed. "It's the lack of inset of the navigational deflector on the secondary hull. It's inset on the Locknar but flush on the Wolverine. Why didn't I see it before? It's right in my damned face!"
…
Captain's Ready Room
"So, it's the physical shape of our navigational deflector mount, Emma?" asked Naruto.
The Lieutenant nodded. "We either have to tweak the Mark 2 cloak a bit or add about a meter lip around the navigational deflector on the front of the secondary hull."
"Which would be easier?" asked the blonde.
"Frankly, physical alterations would be quicker and easier than months of redesigning a cloak."
Naruto had fire in his eyes. "I'll start a design for this fairing around the navigational deflector immediately Emma. Very nicely done."
She gave a jaunty salute. "Always glad to be of service, Naruto."
…
It took only an hour for the blonde Vulcan to draft a design for the new 'lip' that would surround the navigational deflector without interfering with it. He summoned Freyja Christianson and Kloene up to his ready room to discuss its construction.
"As simple as it is, I don't see why we couldn't have it constructed and installed within a week." said Kloene. "This FRD is still at our full disposal so we might as well use it."
"Modification number 146." said Freyja miserably. "This Block 2 refit has been a real task."
"That's because we weren't involved from the outset." replied Kloene. "A lot of the problems could have been avoided instead of us fixing them after the fact."
"Let's get back to work Lieutenant." said Christianson.
"Aye Chief." replied the Orion.
…
Stardate 2298.089, Sol System, Starbase 1, Spacedock, School Offices
The children had completed their school placement testing over the past three days and the Spacedock's school principal asked to see T'Lyra in person about their scores. He greeted her cordially and said, "Welcome Mrs. T'Lyra, I'm Doctor Andrew Greene. Thank you for coming to see me."
"I understand you wished to discuss my children's test scores with me?" asked T'Lyra.
Doctor Greene stroked his goatee and said, "I'm afraid the teaching facilities here would be very limited where your children are concerned. They would get bored here very quickly, particularly Aurora and Erik. All your children are beyond gifted. I would advise enrolling them in a college preparatory school."
'I was afraid of this.' thought the beautiful brunette. "Would you suggest something like the Daystrom Institute?"
His eyes widened in surprise. "Actually, that was one of my suggestions. I take it you are familiar with it?"
"Their older brother works there." she explained. "He is Siegfried Schrodinger of Vulcan."
Greene's jaw dropped. "The holder of the Zee-Magnees Prize is their brother?"
"Yes, that is him." she answered. "I will need contact information so I can make arrangements."
The principal stated, "I will be happy to get you the information you need as well as documents of recommendation."
T'Lyra nodded. "Thank you for your cooperation."
…
M'Fau Family Quarters
The children saw their Mother come in and Aurora asked, "What did the principal say?"
T'Lyra replied, "You all are just like your Father. You think too much." Seeing her children were all wide eyed, she gave them a tiny smile and said, "Doctor Greene has recommended that you should all go to a college preparatory school like the Daystrom Institute on the surface."
"You mean where big brother Siegfried works?" asked Erik.
"Correct." their Mother said. "It will be difficult though as you are still children. While you have the intellect, you lack maturity. This is natural given your ages."
"We will do our best." said Aurora.
"I know you will." replied T'Lyra approvingly.
That evening, T'Lyra and the children were all in front of the big viewscreen talking to Naruto and their Mothers. Alison had wide eyes. "You're all going to Daystrom?" she asked.
"That's what the principal recommended Mama." said Aurora. "I hope we all get in."
Shizuka was excited. "I can't believe all my babies are going to college so young!"
"Mom, we're not babies." replied Sakuya in a flat tone.
M'rella said, "I just hate that we aren't there for you."
"It's okay Ma." answered Niwara. "It isn't your fault you are in the navy."
"Don't worry Ma, we'll be okay." said R'raak.
"We all miss you." said Samui. "I think about you all the time."
"We miss you too Mum." said Erik.
"I'm sure that your brother Siegfried will be surprised." stated Naruto.
Vyorin said, "I can't wait to see him. It has been so long."
"First you all need to be tested." replied T'Lyra. "I believe in all of you but there are no guarantees that you will all get in."
"When is the testing?" asked Alison.
"We just started the application process so that has yet to be decided." explained T'Lyra.
"I'm so excited!" said Samui. "Make sure to study for your testing and brush up on things."
The family discussed the children's new rooms and what Spacedock was like. Everyone was glad to be in touch again…

Stardate 2298.093, Planet Mars Orbit, Utopia Planitia Shipyards, Floating Repair Dock 12, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine
Naruto was riding with Chief Christianson on a shuttle as they inspected the new fairing around the navigational deflector. "It's hardly noticeable unless you know to look for it." said Freyja.
"We need to test it out before thermocoating it." said the Fleet Captain. "I want to see how it affects the warp field as well."
Freyja grinned. "Not bad for only five days' work."
"Not bad at all Chief." agreed Naruto.
…
"The other fast cruisers are waiting on our test results on Modification number 146 since they all have the same problem with their cloaks." said Rafi as she guided the U.S.S. Wolverine out of FRD-12 once more.
"I guess we'll see if this takes care of it." said Alison. "I'll be glad to put this demon to rest."
"Oh, ye of little faith. Emma says it will work so it will." commented Samui.
Konohamaru sighed from the command chair. "Back to the Jupiter testing range Lieutenant Meta. Let's try this again."
"Aye sir." answered Rafi.
Naruto was at the engineering console observing the new fairing's effect on the ship's handling.
"Beginning standard maneuvering tests." said Rafi as they flew through the course at maximum impulse speed. They repeated the process three times before doing the same thing at various warp speeds.
"All systems show green." said Chief Christianson over the comm. "We show that modification 146 has no effect on the ship's handling or performance in any way as predicted. We are ready for cloaking device tests."
Thera Sorkalif was on the edge of her seat. 'Will it work?' she wondered.
"Roger the Chief." said Naruto. "All stop Rafi." The crew was tense, and the Fleet Captain gave the order. "Engage cloaking device."
Samui said, "Cloaking device activated." as the lights dimmed slightly.
"Ahead one-half impulse power." ordered the Fleet Captain.
As the ship accelerated, Alison said, "Cloaking device is stable."
Commander Sarutobi let out a sigh of relief as they went through the paces with the cloaking device active. Naruto had taken the command chair, and the U.S.S. Wolverine was soon streaking along at warp factor twelve with her cloak functioning perfectly.
"Excellent work everybody." said Naruto on the overhead. "Once we check Modification 146 physically in dock, The Wolverine will be declared fully operational."
There was a loud cheer throughout the ship…
Floating Repair Dock 12, NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine
Hours of testing later, the thermocoat was applied to the new ring around the navigational deflector and Modification 146 was approved for the entire fast cruiser fleet.
Naruto was in his ready room talking to Rear Admiral Lucian Tolm over subspace. "The U.S.S. Wolverine is officially operational, Admiral. The cloaking device will require performance tests of course but all preliminary testing shows green."
Tolm smiled. "This is excellent news Fleet Captain. You don't know what a relief it is that the cloaking technology works the way it is supposed to."
"We have Lieutenant Emma Forester to thank for that." said Naruto.
"It seems that the Think Tank hasn't lost their touch." said the Admiral. "I'll pass the good news along to Fleet Admiral Smillie."

Stardate 2298.094, Sol System, Starbase 1, Spacedock, Transporter Rooms
The M'Fau children dutifully followed their Mother T'Lyra down to the transporter rooms where they would beam down to the Daystrom Institute campus. "Can we see big brother Siegfried after our testing?" asked Erik.
"We shall see." said T'Lyra. "You all may be too tired after you finish testing. I will contact Siegfried while you are all busy."
…
Planet Earth, San Francisco, Daystrom Institute Preparatory School Campus
T'Lyra was in the lobby of the Preparatory School waiting on her children. She was talking to Siegfried on her communicator.
"It comes as a surprise to me that all six of my brothers and sisters are testing for the Daystrom Institute Preparatory School given how young they are." said Siegfried. "Upon reflection it shouldn't since all of them inherited brilliance from both sides."
"The children are all very excited." said T'Lyra. "Today was their first trip via transporter and they've all been studying for their testing."
"I can only imagine." said Siegfried. "I will check with S'Harien to make sure, but I do not believe there would be any problem with you and the children visiting later on."
…
That afternoon, the children came out of testing feeling absolutely spent. "My brain is fried to use one of Mom's phrases." said Sakuya. Her eyes were crackling with chakra. "I want to sleep."
Vyorin agreed. "All of us are tired. As much as I want to see Siegfried, I want to rest more."
"They told us our test results would be forwarded to you in the next three days." said Aurora with a yawn. "I told them it shouldn't take that long, but the proctors were insistent."
"I'm sure there are many other tests to grade as well." replied T'Lyra. "Let's go home. Your test results will get here soon enough."
They all decided they could see Siegfried and S'Harien that weekend…

Stardate 2298.095, Sol System, Starbase 1, Spacedock, Interior Viewing Windows
T'Lyra got her children up early the next morning for a surprise. They were all sleepy but followed their Mother up to the massive viewing windows by berth 7. Then the group saw the massive Spacedock doors open slowly, and the sleek fast cruiser U.S.S. Wolverine enter the dock.
Sakuya exclaimed, "It's Daddy's ship!"
T'Lyra saw the awe in all her children's eyes, and she said, "That's right Sakuya, that is the Wolverine. It's going to dock right by us so watch carefully."
The children stood transfixed as the cruiser glided flawlessly into her assigned berth that they were viewing from. "It's huge…" whispered Vyorin.
They saw the name NCC-1602 U.S.S. Wolverine emblemized on the side of the secondary hull and Aurora said, "I want my own Wolverine when I grow up."
The fast cruiser smoothly came to a halt and the gangplanks from the Spacedock extended out to mate up with the two docking ports on the ship's starboard side. The six children were mesmerized and asked their Mother a million questions as they watched shuttles and workbees move around the ship in perfect harmony…

Naruto felt T'Lyra's mental caress as they came to a halt. She thought to him, "Welcome home my love."
He gave her a mental smile. "It is good to be home T'Lyra."
