Author's Note: Hey, everybody. Happy 6th anniversary of 'Incredibles 2'

For this day to celebrate its 6th anniversary to the sequel, here comes the next act of "Spider-Man and/meets The Incredibles" that retells 'Incredibles 2' with a few, more surprises along the way.

Just a quick heads up, I've really, really, really, REALLY got a lot of stuff going on, so I'll still be taking a break or more to freshen up and recharge and...stuff.

Enjoy the chapter!

My name is Peter Parker. I was bitten by a strange little spider, and for the last few months in 15 years, I've been Municiberg's one and only Spider-Man. I'm pretty sure you know the rest of my story. Maybe some minor details have changed.

In my little defense, I've been living and protecting Municiberg for a long time while all the former Supers went underground, and I mean ALL of them. So, I'm the only Super left filling in big shoes or something like that.

In my everyday life, I didn't encounter anybody very often, let alone…A GIRL! And to think, the only two shy teens in the world, we found each other. It's like fate brought us together. Her name was Violet, and after learning that her family, the Parrs, are Supers, I love them. Even Aunt May was neighbors with Helen.

Eventually, we got dragged into a massive case of missing Supers, saved the world with the Avengers from the Omnidroid, and stopped the mastermind. Well, sort of.

The Parrs are living with Aunt May and me since the jet destroyed their house in the battle, but at least there was plenty of room.

The Parr family and I knew we'd meet any challenge if we stuck together (But with Violet, sometimes I feel like it's just the two of us). After all, we were Supers. What could happen?

I also knew that a Super's work is never done and entirely normal…especially when something big could be waiting just around the corner.

Three months later…

Time passes, and Peter grows closer to the Parr family, as did Aunt May. They hung out, had dinner, and went on trips together, such as one day at Dash's track meet.

Everything seemed to be back to normal…until Peter, Aunt May, and the Parr family were headed home after the track meet when the ground suddenly began to shake and rumble.

Peter's spider-sense tingled as an enormous drilling machine surfaced from the ground. Then, a hulking supervillain with clamplike metal hands and an oversized helmet appeared as his voice boomed across the city, introducing himself and monologuing.

"Behold the Underminer! I am always beneath you, but nothing is beneath me! I hereby declare war on peace and happiness! Soon, all will tremble before me!"

Peter looked at the Parr family, who were already fitted up with their masks on and wearing red spandex super-suits with an I for Incredible. The Incredibles were ready for action.

Peter sighed and shrugged. "Here we go again." He then turned to his aunt May. "Auntie, you might wanna get home where it's safe."

Aunt May nodded and gave her nephew a backpack with his Spider-Man super-suit inside before she went to her car and drove off. Soon, he quickly changed clothes and put on his own Super suit.

Peter, as Spider-Man, joined up with the Incredibles as Bob, the former Mr. Incredible, turned to see him. "Peter, glad you could show up. I need you to stay with the kids."

"Wait, should we be doing this? It is still illegal," Helen, as Elastigirl, said with concern.

"We're gonna lose him," Bob replied as he noticed the Underminer disappearing into the tunneler, drilling down into the earth.

"Oh, alright!" Helen said as she turned to Peter and her kids. "One of you patrol the perimeter, keep the crowds back and safe. The other watch after Jack-Jack."

"But I thought we were gonna go with you," Violet said as Bob and Helen went after the Underminer.

"You heard your mother!" said Bob. "Trampoline me!"

Helen turned into a trampoline that Bob used to spring into action as he clung to the top of the tunneler.

Peter sighed in dismay. "Well, not every day we get to fight-" He turned to see Dash running off. "HUH!?"

"I call perimeter!" Dash said.

"You're not going anywhere, you little maggoty creep!" Violet angrily yelled as she tried to stop her brother with her force fields but failed, leaving her and Peter with Jack-Jack. She groaned in frustration. "Oh, great. Dash gets to be a hero while I'm stuck ALONE in a parking lot, babysitting like an idiot!"

"Violet, chill!" Peter said. "I'm sorry you felt that way, but it's not every day you get to fight the bad guys. Your mom's right - we must keep the people safe. They'll get hurt if we go after the Underminer and leave the crowd behind."

Violet paused for a moment, then sighed.

"I know you and Dash want to get in on the action," Peter continued. "But a Super's top priority is keeping the people safe, making sure no one gets hurt. Trust me, you'll get your chance someday."

Violet smiled at Peter. "You're so calm and upbeat."

Suddenly, Peter's spider-sense tingled as he and the Parr kids noticed a vast cloud of dust in the distance. He approached the crowd and told them, "Everyone, please stay calm and head off to safety! You got to get out of the stadium and get back to your homes. We only care about your safety."

"You heard the Spider-Man! Get home and stay back!" Dash shouted as he zoomed off.

Violet, seeing this, ran after her brother as she pushed Jack-Jack along in his stroller. "You're not sticking me with babysitting!"

"Guys, wait! Wait, please!" Peter cried, trying to stop Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. But they were so eager to get in on the action to help out their parents that they left anyway.

Peter sighed once more. "And I thought the Underminer's plans were way bigger in the video game*."

Left with no alternative, Peter swung toward the city, and soon, he jumped into what he realized was almost certainly a more complicated situation than the Underminer.

(*See The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer video game for yourself.)

Peter finds himself landing on top of the tunneler on the streets right next to Helen as Bob emerges from the inside.

"I can't steer it or stop it," Bob said. "And the Underminer has escaped!"

"You had one job, Bob! I hate it when villains leave," Peter replied as he and Helen noticed the monorail approaching.

"Bob! The monorail!" Helen exclaimed as the tracks crumbled and the train was about to hit the ground, but an icy bridge appeared.

"Frozone! Yeah!" Bob and Peter recognized in unison that the newly arrived Frozone had created an icy track to guide the monorail to safety.

"Where are the Avengers when you need them?" Peter asked, echoing the citizen's thoughts.

"Sorry, Peter, but they couldn't make it," Helen replied. "Still concerned about Supers being illegal. It's just us now!"

"Oh, all right!" Peter sighed, then he had an idea. "Try taking out the boiler inside. If you do that, the drill will stop moving."

"Good idea! But first, we must stop this thing before it gets to the overpass!"

"I'll try to keep it away from the buildings!" Bob yelled. "And Peter, you go and try webbing the drill."

"Sure thing!" Peter nodded.

And that's precisely what they did, but nothing seemed to slow down the runaway drill machine as it took down the bridge. Some people were about to fall, but Peter and Helen saved them immediately.

Suddenly, Dash blurred past Peter as he handed him to baby Jack-Jack. "Heads up, Pete!"

Realizing he's responsible for watching and keeping Jack-Jack safe, Peter turned to Dash. "What? DASH!" He then sighed and shrugged as he looked at Jack-Jack. "Oh, well…hang on, little guy!"

Peter saw that the tunneler was heading for City Hall and called out to Helen. "Elastigirl, hurry! It's heading for City Hall!"

Helen, hearing this, nodded until she saw her daughter. "Violet!? Who's watching Jack-Jack?"

"Dash is watching him!" Violet said when she suddenly noticed that Dash handed Peter to Jack-Jack.

"Sorry!" Peter apologized as he hurried to city hall before the tunneler, unaware that a well-dressed man saw him and the Incredibles in action.

"They're out in public again! This is our chance!" The man said as he told his driver. "Follow them, follow Frozone!"

Peter and Jack-Jack make it to City Hall and are joined by Frozone, who keeps shooting ice to freeze the tunneler, putting an ice wall in front of it to buy the Incredibles some time.

Suddenly, the drill stopped, meaning the Incredibles finally did it.

"They did it!" Peter cheered as Jack-Jack laughed.

Hearing police sirens, Frozone turned to see the cops. "That's great, but we're not supposed to be here. We better get outta here."

"R-Right," Peter nodded as he still carried Jack-Jack and fled the scene with Frozone.

Moments later, Peter was at home, exhausted, and back in his regular civilian clothes while carrying Jack-Jack. The two sat on the couch and saw the TV news regarding the Underminer attack.

"Superheroes including Frozone, Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and the recently new Super called Spider-Man have caused further damage to the city," The news reporter said. "The Underminer remains at large."

Aunt May saw the news as well. "Well, that went poorly."

"Yep," Peter sighed. "That could've gone better."

Just then, an armored black police van pulled into the front yard.

Peter and Aunt May can see Agent Rick Dicker of the National Supers Agency dropping the Parrs off at their house. When the van's rear doors opened, the Parr family wore regular clothes as they got out and entered the house, where Aunt May was trying to lift their spirits by welcoming them back.

Peter did the same thing as he began to ask while wincing. "So, how was your trip to the station?"

"Poorly," Violet said sarcastically. "You missed out on all the fun."

"Sorry. I didn't want to get caught, nor should you and Dash."

"Aah, forget about it," Dash said.

"Hey, it could've gotten worse. Don't beat yourself up about it."

While Peter was cheering up Vi and Dash, Bob and Helen told Aunt May the bad news: the Super Relocation Program that protected the Supers was being shut down.

"I'm so sorry," Aunt May apologized.

"It's okay," Helen reassured.

"How about some dinner to help clear our minds off all that stuff?"

"That's great," Helen replied, grateful as she hugged Aunt May.

Later that night, Peter, Aunt May, and the Parr family sat around the dinner table for dinner. After all, it has been months since the Parrs had moved in with Peter and Aunt May. She lets the Parrs use their powers around the house, ensuring nothing gets broken.

Dash was about to have an egg roll when Violet stopped him. "Did you wash your hands?"

Rolling his eyes, Dash ran to the bathroom in a blur. He came back for the egg roll again, but Violet stopped him. "With soap?"

Dash sped off to the bathroom again to wash his hands with soap and zoomed back to grab an egg roll, but Violet stopped him again. "Did you dry them?"

Dash speed-shake his hands dry and finally grabbed an egg roll to bite. Then, he looked at the carton full of vegetables. "What?! Is this all vegetables? Who ordered all the vegetables?!"

"I did," Helen answered with a strict tone. "They're good, and you're going to have some."

Dash groaned as Violet began to ask. "Are we going to talk about it?"

"Talk about what?" Bob asked.

"The elephant in the room."

"What elephant?"

"She means something obvious that no one here wants to talk about," Peter explained to Bob.

"What he said," Violet said, nudging Peter.

"You were talking about today," said Helen.

"Yeah," Dash answered. "What's the deal with today?"

"We all made mistakes. For example, you kids were supposed to be watching Jack-Jack."

"Babysitting while you guys did the important stuff," Violet said in annoyance.

"We talked about this. You're not old enough to decide about those things."

"But we're old enough to help out," Violet said as she turned to her father. "Isn't that what you tell us, Dad?"

"Well, yeah," Bob said. "I mean, 'helping out' can mean many different things."

"But we're supposed to help out if there's trouble," Violet replied. "Aren't you glad we helped today? You said that you were proud of us."

"Well, yeah, I was—I mean, AM!"

"We wanna fight bad guys!" Dash said while Jack-Jack babbled in agreement. "Like Peter did!"

"Like me!?" Peter repeated in surprise yet flattered.

"No, you don't!" Helen said, putting her foot down. She then turned to Peter. "Speaking of Peter, where were you after today!? You were the one carrying Jack-Jack."

"I was taking Jack-Jack home with me," Peter said. "Besides, the police station or a runaway drilling machine is not a good place for a baby. Plus, I didn't want to get caught."

"Right," Helen said with an unconvinced look.

Violet looked at her mom. "You were the one who said things were different now."

"And they were different - on the island," Helen said, referring back to that time on Nomanisan. "I wasn't talking about from now on, anyway."

"So, after everything we've been through, a fifteen-year-old case of missing Supers finally solved so we can go back to not using our powers after our first adventure together in that island of doom!?" Peter said, summarizing.

"Yeah," Helen answered. "That's exactly what I meant."

Violet was upset. "So now, we've gotta go back to never using our powers?"

"It defines who I am," Dash agreed.

"Your parents aren't saying you have-," Aunt May said, trying to calm things down, but turned to Dash in confusion. "What? Your powers define who you are?"

"Someone on TV said it," Dash replied.

"Can we all just eat? The dinner? While it's hot?" Helen cried, stopping this conversation.

"Did we do something wrong?" Dash asked.

"Well...," Peter began, but Bob and Helen put their hands over Peter's mouth.

"No!" Bob and Helen said in unison but gave each other sharp looks as they refused to agree with each other.

"We didn't do anything wrong," Bob insisted as Peter nodded in agreement.

"But superheroes are illegal," Helen said. "Whether it's fair or not, that's the law." She then turned to Peter for confirmation. "Isn't that what you said, Peter?"

"Yeah, I did say that...," Peter said, feeling sheepish.

"The law should be fair," Bob said. "What are we teaching our kids?"

"To respect the law!" A heated Helen answered.

"Even when the law is disrespectful?!"

"If the laws are unjust, there are other laws to change them! Otherwise, it'd be chaos!"

"Or Mass Hysteria!" Peter added.

"Or Mass Hysteria!" Helen repeated.

"Which is exactly what we have!" Bob said.

Helen slammed the table, causing everyone to be stunned, and an awkward silence filled the air of the house. Bob just took a bite of one egg roll.

"I just thought it was kinda cool," Violet said.

"What was cool?" Helen asked.

"Fighting crime as a family."

"It was cool, but it's over. The world is as it is. We have to adapt." Helen then turned to Aunt May. "Sorry that you had to hear all that."

"It's fine," Aunt May replied.

After the Parr kids finished dinner, they got up and left the dinner table. Peter was the last one to follow suit.

Moments later, Peter was in his room, staring at the night sky from his window. He then turned to go to bed but accidentally dumped into the Parr kids. "Aah! Don't startle me like that!"

"Sorry," Violet apologized. "It's just… What are we going to do?"

"I don't know," Peter said. "Maybe your parents will think of something."

"Well, this stinks!" Dash said. "We saved the world with the Avengers, and this is the thanks we get!?"

"Yep, that sounds about right. If anything, we would've been turned into vigilantes by taking the law into our hands."

"Vigilantes?" Dash repeated. "Cool!"

"No, not cool!" Peter said, being serious. "Who are we kidding? My uncle had a lot of respect for Supers like your parents, and now…"

"Well, it's not like the only way we'd be Supers again is if some fairy godmother shows up and offers us some kind of miracle," Violet said.

Just then, Peter and the Parr kids heard a voice from a familiar face. "Did I hear someone ask for a miracle? Wish on a shooting star, no less."

It was Lucius Best, the former Super known as Frozone.

"Hey, Lucius!" Dash greeted happily.

"Sorry to interrupt your sleepover, but mind if I borrow Peter here?"

"Me?" Peter asked. "What for?"

A minute later, Peter and Lucius met with Bob and Helen outside the house.

"Where did you go today?" Bob said to Lucius. "I noticed you missed all the fun."

"Don't be mad just because Peter and I know when to leave the party," Lucius said. "I'm just as illegal as you three. Besides, I knew the cops would let you go."

"Yeah, despite Bob's best efforts," Helen said while Bob rolled his eyes.

"So, what is it you want to talk about?" Peter asked.

"Something that'll make our problems disappear," Lucius answered as he pulled out a business card and handed it to Bob and Helen. "While you guys were being...detained, I was approached by a dude who represents this tycoon."

Bob and Peter looked at the card as one of them read, "'Winston Deavor.'"

"He wants to talk with me, with you two and Peter, about hero stuff," Lucius said. "I checked him out. He's legit. Trained under Dicker. He wants to meet."

Helen groaned. "More superhero trouble? We just came from the police station."

"When?" Bob asked.

"Tonight. I'm going there now," Lucius answered, revealing his Frozone supersuit underneath his coat.

"I don't know…," Peter said, feeling unease initially.

"You guys go enjoy it, 'cause I'm sitting this one out," Helen said, returning the business card to Lucius.

"He wants all four of us," Lucius explained.

"Four?" Peter asked in surprise. "Winston wants to see me!?"

Bob turned to Helen and Peter, convincing them. "Come on, let's hear what he has to say."

"You got the address. I'll meet you guys there," Lucius said.

"Go…in our Supersuits?" Helen asked.

"Yeah, but you might want to wear the old ones. I have a feeling that this guy's nostalgic. Except you, Spidey, because your new one's just fine."

"Okay, thanks."

And with that, Bob, Helen, and Peter changed into their old and new super suits and went with Lucius to DevTech headquarters in a limo. Once there, they were each presented with security badges and entered the modern skyscraper building.

Peter looked at the scenery in awe as the sleek glass elevator rose.

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone, and Spider-Man entered a massive penthouse when a lively voice appeared. "I LOVE superheroes! The powers, the costumes, the mythic struggles."

They all turned to see the co-founder and CEO of DevTech himself coming down the curved stairs with a beaming smile on his face for an introduction. "Winston Deavor. You can call me Win. A genuine pleasure to meet you."

Winston then turned to the three former Golden Age Supers as he held his hand out for a handshake one by one. "Frozone!"

"It's good to see you," Frozone smiled.

"Elastigirl."

"Nice to meet you," Elastigirl said.

"Mr. Incredible!"

"Hello," Mr. Incredible greeted.

Then, Winston started singing each of their own theme songs. While he did, Spider-Man turned to see a woman entering the room.

"Can't tell you what a thrill this is," Winston said as he turned to Spider-Man. "And you must be the one-and-only Spider-Man, the newest Super on the block."

"Yes, yes, I am," Peter said as he shook Winston's hand.

"Hello there, superheroes," the woman greeted. "I'm so sorry I'm late."

"And this is my tardy sister, Evelyn," Winston introduced his tech-genius sister.

"And I'm scolding myself, so you don't have to, Winston!"

"Spectacular," Winston said as he led the Supers to a large portrait of his father. Like Peter's uncle, he supported the Supers, too.

"My father was so proud that I was even remotely connected to you guys," Winston explained as he looked over at the portrait of his dad. "He used to call you 'the last line of defense.' He was your top supporter. He donated to superhero causes. He raised money for the Dynaguy statue in Avery Park. He got to know many Supers personally. Even installed a phone with direct lines to Gazerbeam and Fironic in case of emergencies. He loved that and showed it off to everyone…"

But Winston's smile faded as he continued. "He was heartbroken when you were all forced to go underground."

"Father believed the world would be more dangerous without you," Evelyn added.

"He didn't know how right he was," Winston said as he remembered a tragic memory. "There was a break-in. My father called Gazerbeam on the direct line, but there was no answer. He called Fironic, but no answer. Guess superheroes had just been made illegal. The robbers discovered him on the phone…and shot him. So..."

"Well, um, sorry to hear that," Spider-Man spoke awkwardly.

"It must've been hard," Elastigirl agreed.

"Especially for Mother," Evelyn replied. "She died a few months later. Talk about a heartbreak."

"If superheroes had not been forced underground, it never would've happened," Winston said.

"Or…Dad could've taken Mom to the safe room when he knew there was trouble–" Evelyn added.

"I disagree strongly," Winston interrupted. "But we're not going into it right now…"

Evelyn rolled her eyes and frowned.

Winston turned to the Supers. "The point is nobody expected us to be able to actually run Dad's company. But with Evelyn as designer and myself as operator, we threw ourselves into building Devtech into what it is today."

"A world-class telecommunications company," Frozone said.

"Bigger than ever. Perfectly positioned to make some wrong things right. Hence, this meeting!"

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Spider-Man, and Frozone sat on a couch inside a screening room as Winston stood before them. But he wasn't the only one…

"Mr. Stark!?" Spider-Man cried in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"Winston told me about the Deavor Initiative," Tony Stark, the former Super known as Iron Man, explained. "He told me all about it a while back when I found him at my home after the whole battle with that Omnidroid. I even told him about that new Super in town – you. So, I recommended Winston to invite you as well."

"Whoa… Wait, what's the Deavor Initiative?" Spider-Man asked.

"An idea to help bring Supers back into the sunlight," Winston explained. "Which leads me to ask you something: What is the main reason you were all forced underground?"

"Ignorance," Mr. Incredible answered.

"Perception," Winston said as photos and footage of the Underminer attack appeared on the screen behind him and Tony Stark. "Take today for example. It was difficult with the Underminer because you faced many hard decisions."

"Oh, tell me about it," Mr. Incredible said.

"Yeah," Spider-Man agreed. "And don't even get started on the whole Omnidroid thing. We handled that robot tout de suite like it was nothing…and stuff."

"You're right about that one," Winston said. "Except I didn't see it, and neither did anyone else. So, while you were fighting bad guys like today, people didn't witness the fight or what led to it. They see what politicians tell them to see. They see destruction, and they see you."

"Like that Bomb Voyage fiasco way, way back," Spider-Man added, but he quickly realized he shouldn't mention that.

"So, if we wanna change people's perceptions about superheroes, we need you to share your perceptions with the world."

Elastigirl was puzzled. "And just how do we do that?"

"With cameras," Evelyn answered as she clicked the remote, showing four screens showing footage of Winston from minutes before at different angles.

"'We need you to share your perceptions with the world,'" Winston said on screen.

"'And just how do we do that?'" Elastigirl asked on screen.

"We embed tiny cameras like those into your super suits," Evelyn explained, showing a live feed on the screen, showing the four Supers' faces.

"Cool," Spider-Man said, impressed as he and other Supers inspect their badges.

Elastigirl was impressed with a smile as well. "Wow, so small. And the picture is outstanding."

"Thanks!" Evelyn smiled at the compliment. "Designed 'em myself."

"We've got resources, lobbyists, worldwide connections, and very importantly, insurance," Winston said.

"Insurance is key," Mr. Incredible smiled.

"All we need now are the super-est superheroes," Winston continued. "It needs you guys! Come on! Help me make ALL Supers legal again!"

"This sounds GREAT!" Mr. Incredible exclaimed in excitement. "Let's get this going. What's my first assignment?"

"That enthusiasm of yours is golden. Now, hold on to it for now," Winston replied as he then extended his hand to Spider-Man. "But for our first move, well... We believe Spider-Man is our best play."

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone looked at each other in confusion, then looked at Spider-Man in utter surprise.

Spider-Man smiled and nodded as he looked at the stunned Supers, but then, his face turned to surprise once he realized what Winston had just said.

"WHAT!?" Spider-Man shouted as he went to Winston and Tony Stark. "Me? Really!? I mean, why not Mr. Incredible? He had his chance to shine in the first movie."

"Exactly," Mr. Incredible agreed but then blinked in confusion at that last sentence. "Wait, what?"

"See what I mean?" Peter asked.

"With all due respect, Spidey, we don't want to test out the whole 'insurance-will-pay-for-everything' idea on your first go-round," Winston said firmly, trying not to offend Mr. Incredible.

"Yeah, we don't want your destructive potential to be pushed," Tony Stark agreed.

While Frozone and Elastigirl try not to chuckle at that remark, Mr. Incredible becomes confused and stunned, trying to understand. "W-W-Wait a minute. You guys are saying what? That I'm messy?"

"Well, Evelyn did a cost-benefit analysis comparing all your last five years of crime fighting before going underground," Winston said. "And Spider-Man's already turning some heads around with his crime-fighting."

"Well, it's not a fair comparison!" Mr. Incredible said. "I mean, heavyweight problems need heavyweight solutions."

"Of course!" Winston smiled. "We're gonna solve all kinds of problems together. After the perfect launch with Spider-Man!"

All eyes turned to Spider-Man, waiting for an answer as Evelyn turned to him. "So, what do you say?"

"What do I say? I'm in!" Spider-Man said, laughing in absolute excitement. He then turned to Winston and Tony again. "But…why me all of a sudden?"

"That is an excellent question," Winston explained. "You are the only Super here who has the potential."

"The potential?"

"You've been inspiring other younger Supers out there to come out of the blue, bringing in a new age of superheroes."

Spider-Man's eyes sparkled. "Younger Supers about my age? Wow, I never thought of it like that!"

"Plus, you'll be working with Elastigirl. Her numbers are self-explanatory."

Elastigirl, hearing this, didn't know what to say. "I don't know. We had a run-in with the law, and I don't want to go through that again."

"I understand," Winston said. "But remember, it's all about perception. You just be Super, and we'll get the public on your side. And we won't stop until you're all legal again."

Back at the Parr house, while a conflicted Helen wasn't so sure about taking the job, an excited Peter couldn't contain himself and his excitement as he was in his room with the Parr kids, for he had just told them everything.

"So, you and Mom got a new job doing hero work," Violet said. "I thought superheroes were still illegal."

"Oh, they are illegal…for now," Peter replied.

"So, you and Mom are getting paid to break the law."

"We're not breaking the law. We're being advocates for superheroes. It's a new job as part of the Deavor Initiative."

"So, you're both going out illegally to explain why you shouldn't be illegal."

"It's all about perception," Peter explained. "It's the main reason Supers are still illegal. They want to change everyone's perspective about us superheroes, so they need me and your mom to share our perspective with the world by recording our awesomeness through tiny cameras. You got all that?"

"Uh…yeah," Dash answered, still confused.

But Violet still had a question. "But what did you mean, you're in? A few hours ago, you said that turning into vigilantes and taking the law into our own hands was not cool! Now, you and Mom got the offer of a lifetime, and you're just in?"

"It's not that simple, Vi," Peter said. "Your parents want to protect you guys."

"We can handle ourselves!" Dash blurted, but then he blinked in confusion. "From what?"

"From jail, Dash!"

"And how will Mom do that?" Violet asked. "By turning down the one chance to change the law that forced us to hide what we are? You said so yourself, Peter. We're still kids with powers."

"And that makes us Supers, whether we decide to use your powers or not," Peter said. "This'll benefit us. Like Winston said, I'm the potential sign of a new generation of younger Supers!"

"Cool!" Dash exclaimed while Violet rolled her eyes and smirked at Peter.

While Peter and the Parr kids talked, Helen and Bob sat in bed, discussing whether Helen should or should not accept the job.

"Look, it's not a good time for me to be away," Helen told Bob. "Dash is having trouble with homework. Violet's already been improving herself because of Peter. And don't even get me started on the lovey-dovey stuff those two were doing because I bet that they would try to ask each other out. And Jack-Jack..."

"Jack-Jack?" Bob interrupted. "What's wrong with him?"

"Okay, scratch that. Nothing's wrong with Jack-Jack, but even a normal baby like him needs a lot of attention. I'm just…I'm just not sure I can leave."

"Of course, you can leave. You and Peter have got to, so that we can be Supers again and our kids can have that choice."

Helen chuckled with a scoff. "You mean, so you can have that choice."

"All right, yes! So, I can have that choice. And I would do a great JOB! Regardless of what Deavor's pie charts say or whatever... But they want you and Peter, and you'll both do a great...job...too."

"That was excruciating to watch," Helen said. "I can't lie to you. It's nice to be wanted. Flattering, you know, but..."

"But what's the downside," Bob said. "One, you and Peter go out there, do this right, get well paid, and things get better for all Supers, including him and our kids. Or two...I find a job in two weeks."

Helen still wasn't sure. "You know it's crazy, right? To help my family, I gotta leave it. To fix the law, I gotta break it."

"You'll be great," Bob replied, reassuring his wife.

"I know I will. But what about you? We have kids."

"Aunt May and I will watch the kids, no problem. Easy."

"Easy, huh? You're adorable. Well, if there is a problem, I'll drop this thing and come right back."

"You won't need to. I got it. You go do this thing. Do it so...I can do it better."

Helen hit her husband with a pillow. Then, taking a deep breath, she picked up the phone and called Winston. "This is Elastigirl. I'm in."

A few days later, Peter, Aunt May, and the Parr family sat in a limo as it took them to their new home.

Helen was talking to Winston on the phone. "Mr. Deavor, it's wonderful…but too generous."

"Nonsense! It's the least we can do," Winston replied. "We're partners now. I can't have my partners living in a suburban home."

"But whose house is it?" Helen asked.

"It's one of Stark's. He and I have several, so he's not using that one. Stay as long as you like and need."

Peter, Aunt May, Bob, and the kids took in the sight of a luxurious, enormous, yet lavish house as their jaws dropped.

"I don't know what to say," Helen said.

"How about 'thanks'?" Bob asked.

Once everyone rushed to the front door and opened it, they were amazed by its scale and size.

"This is our new house?" Dash asked, thrilled in amazement.

"Okay, easy, tiger," Helen said to Dash, warning him. "It's being loaned to us. Still, I can't believe Stark lent this to us!"

"This is homey," Violet said, thinking the house was over the top.

"Look at this place," Bob said. "Tony needed to slip out during his days as Iron Man, so he built this house with multiple hidden exits. We can all have a bit more space."

"This is a LOT more space, Dad," Violet said. "Good thing we won't stand out. Wouldn't want to attract any unnecessary attention."

Dash zoomed away, exploring the new house, thinking It was paradise. "It's huge! I love it! It's got a big yard! Near a forest! And a pool!"

"Okay, okay," Bob said, reassuring everyone. "Let's all just relax and try to make ourselves at home."

"This is… Isn't this a bit much?" Helen asked, uncertain.

"Would you rather be at my old home?" Aunt May asked, thinking the new house was paradise as well. "It's an incredible house for us two families, right?"

Dash noticed a remote control and pushed random buttons that activated waterfalls, fountains, and streams. "Wicked cool!" Then, as he continued pushing buttons, the couch fell in one of the streams, and the floor started to close, crushing it.

Soon, Dash ran off, leaving the remote alone.

A while later, Peter emerged from the bathroom, wearing a new Super suit sent by the Deavors. But this new suit wasn't made by Edna Mode, but someone else.

"Wh-What the heck!? This isn't me…," Peter said, looking at his new, different Super suit as Violet and Dash came in. "I'm not supposed to be all dark and broody. I'm Spider-Man! I'm, you know, your friendly neighborhood."

"Did someone else design it?" Violet asked.

"Yeah, someone named Alexander Galbaki," Peter replied.

"Wait til' E hears about this," Violet laughed as she handed Peter a note. "This also came with the suit."

Peter looked at the note on the card. It said, 'Spidey, there's an accessory in the garage. – Evelyn'

Peter joined Bob, Aunt May, and Helen, who wore a new Super suit by Galbaki. Surprisingly, he saw two gleaming, high-tech motorcycles for himself and Helen.

"A new Elasticycle," Helen said as her eyes lit in amazement.

"Wait, I get a bike, too!?" Peter replied as he looked at his own bike as he got on. "But I'm more used to web-swinging."

"Elasticycle?" Bob, holding Jack-Jack, repeated. "I didn't know you had a bike."

"Hey, I had a mohawk," Helen said as she sat on her bike. "There's a lot about me you don't know."

"A mohawk?" Peter and Bob asked in unison.

"Ah, you didn't miss anything."

As Peter and Helen rev up their motorcycles, Peter turns to his aunt. "Are you sure you'll be okay with Bob and the others?"

"I'll be fine," Aunt May reassured her nephew. "He is Mr. Incredible, after all. You two will do well out there."

"Okay," Peter nodded.

"You will be great," Bob said to Helen.

"I will be great. And you will, too," Helen replied.

"We will both be great."

"Bye, sweetie," Helen said as she and Peter zoomed off in their bikes and out on the open road.

On their way, Helen and Peter join the Deavors and Tony Stark on a private jet. Soon, the two got on board as their two motorcycles were loaded onto the plane.

"Don't keep us in suspense, Mr. Deavor," Peter excitedly told Winston. "Where are we going on our first mission? Tokyo? Italy? London? Or will it simply be good ol' Paris, France?"

To answer Peter's question, Winston looked over the window at the view of a sprawling city. "Well, Spidey, if you and Elastigirl want to make a big crime-fighting statement, you go to the one place where the crime is big – New Urbem."

Suddenly, all the excitement Peter felt had just faded as he froze at the mention of the city that made him who he was. His smile faded into a shocked frown as Peter looked out the window to see the city of New Urbem, feeling a rush of emotions and losing all his colors.

"Strange thing to be excited about, Winston," Helen said.

"It's like a superhero's playground!" Winston replied.

"I'll…I'll try to contain my excitement," Peter said dejectedly as he still looked at New Urbem. "Ho hum."

Helen quickly noticed Peter's stare at the city with a dropped face and even his loss of color. "Are you okay?"

"Oh, I'm fine. I'm fine," Peter replied. "Just looking forward to this."

"Does it have something to do with you seeing your old home again after all these years? I guess Winston's not the only one feeling nostalgic."

"What? No, of course not!" Peter replied. "I mean, yes? Ughhhhh!" He buried his face in his hands. "It's complicated."

"I know. The last time you were here, your uncle died. Aunt May already told me that much, but she did reassure the rest of us that New Urbem is still a nice place to live, so don't worry about it. I know it's hard for you to come back. If it's all too much for you, then maybe—"

"No!" Peter interrupted. "I can handle this. I can totally handle this. I mean, we're advocates now! I'm more worried about our first mission than anything else. And New Urbem is just very busy this time of year."

Helen smirked at Peter, knowing full well that he was bluffing. "You know, for someone who moved away from New Urbem and became a Super, you still know a lot about New Urbem."

Peter sighed. "Dang it, you caught me. But still, I can push through this."

"If you said so."

As the two Supers prepared to depart, Helen couldn't help knowing something was up between Peter and New Urbem.

A moment later, Elastigirl and Spider-Man found themselves in an ally, sitting around waiting.

"Seems strange to wait for crime," Elastigirl said.

"You're telling me," Spider-Man replied. "I got used to it way, way back."

"Relax," Winston reassured as he and Evelyn sat in a van further back, watching live footage from Elastigirl's and Spider-Man's suit cams on the monitors, talking to them through Elastigirl's Elasticycle. "You two are smack in the middle of the worst crime area in the city. It's perfect. It's a superhero's playground—"

"Superhero's playground. We know," Spider-Man interrupted, already knowing what Winston would say.

"You know," Elastigirl said. "After we went underground, my husband used to listen to a police scanner, waiting for something to happen. And I got mad at him for it. Oh, I'm such a hypocrite."

Winston and Evelyn chuckled for a bit.

Just then, the radio went off, as Elastigirl and Spider-Man quickly noticed. "Wait, something's up."

"All units," The dispatcher's voice appeared. "We've been picking up some chatter about potential disruptions to the hovertrain's opening ceremony."

"Disruption or threat?" The officer asked.

"Both. The station is at Fifty-Fourth and Nottingham."

Winston gasped. "A potential threat! Perfect! Fifty-fourth and Nottingham. Go, go, go!"

Elastigirl and Spider-Man watched the opening ceremony of a new hovertrain from a distance. There, they see a crowd gathering and the Mayor of New Urbem giving a speech.

"Are you sure the police are gonna be okay with this?" Elastigirl asked.

"Sure," Evelyn said. "You're making life easy for them."

"They still haven't forgiven us for the last time we made life easy for them."

"I know the Chief of Police," Winston said, reassuring. "There won't be a problem."

"With all due respect," Evelyn said, "if you alone had handled the Underminer, things would have been different. I'm just saying."

Elastigirl chuckled, then turned to Spider-Man, still looking at the hovertrain ceremony. "Spidey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Spider-Man replied. "I'm just watching the ceremony, that's all. No need to get distracted by anything else. Trust me."

The mayor continued on with his speech. "But I am happy to report that we are here today on a budget and ahead of schedule to launch our magnificent new hovertrain. It can get you where you need to go at ridiculous speeds. The future is open for business!"

As if on cue, the mayor cut the ribbon, and the crowd cheered with lively music from the band. As the passengers got on board, the train started to move.

Suddenly, Spider-Man's spider-sense tingled as the train stopped. "Look, the train stopped."

"It's going in the wrong direction!" Elastigirl said as she took off on her Elasticycle. "We're going after it!"

"Not if I beat you to it!" Spider-Man shouted with a smile as he shot webs to swing over from building to building, trying to catch up to the hovertrain.

"This thing's really moving," Elastigirl said, catching up. "100 and climbing. How much track is built?"

"About 25 miles," Evelyn replied. "But at this speed, it's not gonna last long."

"And it's full of passengers? No one can shut this thing down?"

"They've tried. No-go."

"What about overrides?" Spider-Man asked.

"They're locked out of the system."

"What about a fail-safe?" Elastigirl asked.

"Not enough time."

"Fine!" Spider-Man said. "Let's hurry up and find the brakes!"

"Good idea!" Elastigirl nodded.

Spider-Man finally managed to land on top of the train. "I made it!" He then went to the front of the train, only to find the conductor staring at something on the screen while spacing out.

"Spider-Man, what do you see?" Elastigirl asked.

"I think the conductor's zoned out," Spider-Man replied. "He's staring at something on screen and not responding. Please, hurry!"

"I'm on my way."

But suddenly, Spider-Man's spider-sense came off again as a mysterious green smoke appeared. Then, someone wearing green and yellow clothing and a purple cape came out of the smoke. What's more bizarre is that he's wearing a fishbowl-like glass helmet.

"What the-!?" Spider-Man cried. "Who are you!?"

"People of New Urbem. I am Mysterio," The villain introduced himself. "And I am determined that your city is ripe for the taking of conquest!"

"Oh, now I see everything," Spider-Man said.

"Do not mock me, Spider-Man! Your fate will soon be sealed, for I will deal with you personally."

Spider-Man was about to catch Mysterio, but through the green smoke, he was gone. Then, remembering the train is still in danger, Spider-Man can see Elastigirl landing on top of the train, and the two quickly find the train's brake.

Elastigirl turned herself into a parachute to slow the train down as it was headed for the construction site. And just like that, the train finally stopped in mere seconds. She and Spider-Man went inside the train to check on the unharmed passengers.

"Is everybody all right? Is anybody injured?" Elastigirl asked the passengers, then she and Spider-Man rushed to the conductor.

"Are you all right?" Spider-Man asked the conductor.

"Your story better be good!" Elastigirl said to the conductor, who just regained consciousness.

The train conductor blinked his eyes. "What happened?"

"Well, the train went backward, and you were spacing out by whatever it was on the screen," Spider-Man explained to the conductor.

A message appeared on the control panel: WELCOME BACK, ELASTIGIRL AND SPIDER-MAN. – MYSTERIO AND THE SCREENSLAVER

"The Screenslaver?" Elastigirl repeated.

"Mysterio?" Spider-Man asked.

As the screen went black, the two Supers looked at each other in surprise.
