"This definitely looks like the kind of place a shady illegal dinosaur purchase would happen." Kenji says as the group stops in the middle of nowhere.
"Yep. But the message on Brooklynn's account said the drop isn't happening until midnight." Darius says.
"Great. The one time we're early for something." Kenji says annoyedly.
"We probably shouldn't stay out in the open like this." Darius says.
"What about that shack over there? Not exactly luxury but it's doable for a short time." Alexis says as the group sees the shack and goes inside and sees its in ruins.
"Charming studio apartment with rustic bathtub and skylight." Darius says as the group sees a rusty old bathtub.
"I'm more of a shower guy. Yeah I'm definitely kicking myself for not bringing my trailer. All my stickers. Gone to waste!" Kenji says.
"So... Brooklynn's apartment huh?" Darius asks.
"A whole secret apartment." Kenji says.
"I mean it's bananas right?" Darius asks.
"So bananas! Wonder what else she was hiding from us." Kenji says as Alexis smiles seeing the two are getting along again before stepping outside.
"Alexis where are you going? We shouldn't be splitting up." Darius says as he sees Alexis walking off.
"I'll be alright D. I'm just going for a walk around the area. I won't be far. Don't worry." Alexis says as she smiles softly at Darius and walks off.
*Timeskip*
Later as Alexis arrives back in wolf form she soon spots Kenji and Darius outside and overhears numerous messages on Brooklynn's phone from Darius before seeing the two go inside and Alexis follows quietly toward the building.
"Darius? These voicemails all from after she died... There's hundreds of them. What aren't you telling me man?" Kenji asks.
"I was in love with Brooklynn." Darius says as Alexis gives a shocked expression.
"He was in... In love with Brooklynn... No wonder he acted the way he did after she died." Alexis thinks before listening in on the conversation.
"What? When did you... Wh-When she and I were..." Kenji asks in shock.
"No! Never! I-I promise. I... I didn't even start feeling that way until after you broke up with her. I didn't even think I could feel that way. But when she came to stay with me things started to change." Darius says.
"So my best friend fell in love with my ex-girlfriend. Did she love you back? Darius? Darius?" Kenji asks as he sits down beside Darius.
"Brooklynn called me the night she died. Left a couple of voicemails but there's an unsent message here. It's a video." Darius says as he finds a video before he notices Alexis in the doorway.
"Alexis you're back. We uh were about to come look for you." Kenji says as he sees Alexis.
"How much of that did you hear?" Darius asks nervously.
"Only the part about some video. What's going on?" Alexis asks as she lies.
"We found something. A video." Darius says as he begins playing the video on Brooklynn's phone.
"I've tried calling you texting. I even left you voicemails. You know how much I hate leaving voicemails so you know this is important! You said you'd be here. I'm worried Darius." Brooklynn says in the video.
"What's that? Is she listening to something?" Kenji asks as the group hears noises in the video before seeing the dinosaur attack Brooklynn as the video ends.
"Oh my gosh." Alexis says sadly.
"She needed you. You weren't there. You and me? We're brothers right? Then be honest with me. If you loved Brooklynn and I mean really loved her... Then why weren't you there?" Kenji asks sadly with tears as Darius looks at the phone.
"Guys?" Alexis asks as the group hears trucks outside and sees trucks arriving outside before the group sneaks outside and sees them transferring a dinosaur to the other truck.
"I bet if we follow it we'll find whoever's making the purchase. We gotta go." Kenji says as the group gets on the motorbike and begins to follow the trucks.
