A/N: This will be the last chapter as I don't wish to do the entire series. I may go back and add more at a later date if they keep the series going but I may not as well. So for now anyway this will be the last chapter.

Later as Alexis is with Darius packing some things up in her apartment she stops looking at Darius.

"Thanks D for coming to help me pack my stuff. Didn't exactly get much time before Ben ushered me out the door." Alexis says as she puts a box down.

"It's alright. I still can't believe you have a place near the dock where the boat stopped. Besides I know the feeling. At least this way nothing important should go missing or get damaged." Darius says as he puts some stuff in a box.

"Yeah." Alexis says as she sits down on her bed.

"You okay? You seem a bit distracted." Darius says as he goes over to Alexis.

"Oh I'm okay. Just uh got things on my mind." Alexis says as she smiles nervously.

"Come on. I know that face. It's a brave face. Is it Brooklynn?" Darius asks.

"No... I mean yes... I mean... Ugh." Alexis says as she groans frustratedly.

"Hey we all miss her. It's okay to be upset." Darius says as he smiles reassuringly.

"It's not just Brooklynn." Alexis says as she sighs.

"Oh. You mean us being hunted and all that? That's why we're going to try and find a place safe for us all to lay in low. It'll be okay." Darius says.

"It's not that either Darius." Alexis says sadly as she looks away.

"Why don't you tell me what's wrong then? You know I'm always here for you and here to listen. You've been one of my best friends since Nublar. I don't like seeing you like this." Darius says as he sits beside Alexis on the bed.

"I'm sorry Darius." Alexis says as Darius put his hand on her shoulder.

"Alexis you have nothing to be sorry for. Just tell me what's on your mind. Please?" Darius asks as Alexis looks at him.

"It won't change anything if I do. In fact it's liable to make things weird or awkward." Alexis says as she sighs.

"I doubt that. If everything we have been through hasn't changed things between us I doubt anything you say now could make things bad between us. You were there for me when I needed it and even when I didn't want it. Now I want to do that for you. Please just talk to me." Darius says as Alexis looks at him.

"Darius I... I have feelings for you." Alexis says as he blushes.

"What?" Darius asks in surprise.

"I've had feelings for you since Nublar. It's why I would act like I would around you when we were kids." Alexis says as she looks down.

"Why didn't you ever say anything?" Darius asks.

"Because I was afraid of losing you. I didn't want things to end on a bad note in case something happened. I didn't want to lose you as my friend. I was just terrified of what would happen if I told you." Alexis says.

"Things wouldn't have changed between us Alexis. At least not in the way you were afraid of." Darius says as Alexis looks at him before looking away.

"Yeah well it doesn't matter anyway. You have feelings for Brooklynn. I was going to tell you before now but when I overheard you and Kenji and what you told him about Brooklynn I decided against it. I decided it was better to keep it to myself because it wouldn't change anything to tell you." Alexis says.

"So you did overhear everything." Darius says as he face palms.

"Yeah." Alexis says.

"I'm sorry. I should of noticed back then." Darius says.

"Don't worry about it. It's whatever at this point. You love Brooklynn so it again nothing is gonna change between us." Alexis says as she stands up and begins to walk off.

"Alexis wait!" Darius says as he grabs Alexis by the hand.

"Darius we should really get going. The others will be wondering where we are." Alexis says a she doesn't look at Darius.

"Just wait a minute. Please?" Darius asks.

"Darius I don't want to talk about this anymore. I've accepted that- mmph!" Alexis then gets cut off by Darius as he kisses her before pulling away leaving her blushing.

"I did love Brooklynn but I also cared for you as well. I still care for you. I may not have noticed you when we were kids but I did when we got older. You were there for me a lot after Brooklynn's death and you mean the world to me." Darius says as he smiles softly at Alexis.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Alexis asks in surprise.

"Let's just say I don't think Kenji would have liked that idea where I told him about loving Brooklynn. Or Ben for that matter. But if you're okay with it I would like to make up for lost time. I'd love it if you would be my girlfriend." Darius says as he smiles.

"Do you still have feelings for Brooklynn?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Yeah but not as much as I do for you. Now it's mostly guilt with Brooklynn more than anything. But I want to be with you." Darius says as Alexis smiles at him.

"I want to be with you too Darius." Alexis says before Darius kisses her and she kisses back as the two then pull away smiling.

"Come on. Let's head out." Darius says as he and Alexis walk off hand in hand.
