Disclaimer I in no way own Harry potter or Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I'm just having myself some fun.

Prologue: a strange delivery

Flesh... bone. Bound together with the oddest magical incantation. This wretched book is where it all began so long ago. Before time. Before humanity.

I am Dr. Edward Roivas. I am a clinical psychologist. I am also dead. This is not my story. Nor even the story of the Roivas family. It is the story of humanity.

Like it or not. Believe it or not as you will. Your perceptions will not change reality, but simply color it. Humanity has been on the edge of extinction for 2 millennia. Ignorant of so much, and dependent on so few.

The guardians grow restless. Their time once again near. Whether by fait or misfortune my family has cross their path, and they didn't take kindly to it.

Their attention turns to my granddaughter. For she is the last of my line, and the last hope for humanity.

An: taken directly from the game's opening.

Jasmine Potter tossed and turned. Tomorrow was Halloween, and the drawing of the champions for the tri-wizard tournament. She just knew she would be dragged into that deathtrap as Hermione had called it just that morning, no matter what she said, or how she felt.

As Jazz, as Neville and the twins called her, felt herself drift into sleep she found herself in a strange room. She was holding a shotgun, and there were what looked like what she thought were inferi.

As the bodies closed in on her Jasmine raised the barrel of the shotgun, aimed at 1 of the inferi, and pulled the trigger. The blast rocked her back a step or 2. She was glad to see the inferi she had aimed at be blown into pieces. That is until she saw another appear to take the place of the first.

To her shock she saw her friends appear against 1 wall. The inferi in front of her turned away, and started shuffling toward the nearest, that being Luna. Fearing for her friends Jasmine raised the shotgun, and blasted another inferi, and another, and another. Until the gun clicked on an empty chamber. Realizing she had no ammunition left, Jaz raced to try and protect her friends. Unfortunately before she had taken more than 3 steps she watched Luna be torn apart by an inferi. The sight froze Jaz just long enough for another inferi to reach the twins and Neville. Before she could regain her wits the 3 of them were torn apart.

Jasmine sank to the floor hot tears pouring from her eyes. She was so lost in what had happened to those she called true friends she never noticed the approaching inferi. That is until they started tearing her apart.

As she felt the arms tearing at her flesh, her vision seemed to shift to a man in a padded cell. He seemed to be yelling something, but Jaz was too deep in sorrow to pay attention. That is until she heard another voice. One not screaming.

"Remember me Jasmine."

Jasmine bolted upright in her dorm room. There seemed to be a blur circling her head. She grabbed her glasses off her side-table, and once she put them on she saw her snowy owl carrying a package in her talents.

"Thank you Hedwig."

Hedwig nuzzled Jasmine's ear as Jaz took the package. Looking out the window Jaz saw the sun wasn't even peaking over the horizon. Blinking in surprise she fished out her wand from under her pillow, and cast the "Tempus" spell. The time showed 3:33.

"An odd time to be receiving a delivery. Oh well, might as well see what is so important."

Opening the package revealed a book that looked to be wrapped in leather along with a letter. With a shrug Jaz opened the letter, and began reading it.

"Dear Miss Potter.

My name is inspector lagraft of the Rhode Island police department. This letter is to notify you of the death of Dr. Edward Roivas. From what we have been able to determine, you are the only blood relation of the good doctor. The only item was this strange book. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however I hope this book brings you some comfort. If you get a chance please give me a call at 401-778-3698.

Yours

Lagraft"

Jasmine stared at the note in shock. She had been blood related to this Dr. Edward Roivas, and the headmaster had kept her with those vile people.

Turning to the book Jasmine took a closer look. Strange the book seemed to have only 1 chapter. What kind of book had she received?

Shrugging Jasmine started reading the chapter.

An: this is my crossover of Harry Potter and Eternal Darkness. Unlike the game I will not be using the Roivas mansion, in its place I will be using Hogworts. The story will be taking place over the duration of the tri-wizard tourniment. Jasmine is fem-harry, and she will be taking the place of Alexandra, or Alex. The chapters will play out mostly the way the game does, except that Jaz or another Potter character will be following and witnessing the games events first hand. There will be some bashing in the Harry Potter focused chapters after this 1. In the Eternal Darkness focused chapters we will hear the character's thoughts as they follow the chapters focus through out the game. I expect this story to have no more than 25 chapters, and I expect it to be less than that.
