It was a cool night for the middle of May but Steve wasn't complaining. Especially because he was currently wrapped up in a blanket at skull rock with Eddie Munson, stargazing of all things.

Eddie Munson... Stargazing.

If someone had told him this was where his life was heading a year ago, Steve would've laughed himself stupid. Eddie Munson was nothing more than a weirdo to him back then. Things were different now.

"Stevie," Eddie rolled into his side and smiled, resting his chin on one hand. "You got the lighter?"

He had a cigarette hanging from his mouth and Steve cupped the flame to light it, laughing when Eddie blew the smoke at him and lay down again, their hands entwining. Eddie Munson was his boyfriend now. Had been for several months and Steve couldn't have been happier.

It had come as a shock to a lot of people, Steve 'The Hair' Harrington falling for Eddie 'The Freak' Munson. But fall he did and hard. Even now as he watched Eddie's face glow in the cigarette light he felt like he was falling in love all over again.

Eddie noticed and rose an eyebrow, offering him the smoke. "What is it?"

"Nothing."

"Really?" He leaned closer and stole a kiss, taking the smoke right from Steve's mouth. "Seems to be a whole lotta thinking for nothing."

"God that's hot."

"Don't get sidetracked."

Steve laughed and lay down again. He reached up to tug on Eddie's hair, trying to catch some of his hair as it danced across his palm in the breeze. "Just admiring you."

Eddie huffed. "Careful, I know that look well, Harrington. Admiration always leads to something else with you involved."

"You like it."

"I do." The quiet admission struck home and burrowed deep in Steve's heart. Eddie laughed and leaned down to kiss him quickly. Not long enough in Steve's opinion but Eddie had been distracted, pointed at the sky with an eager expression. "Look, a shooting star!"

Steve looked up to watch it streak across the sky. When his attention returned to Eddie it was to find him already watching him. "Eds?"

"Make a wish."

Steve huffed and closed his eyes. After a moment though he opened them and cupped Eddie's face, bringing him in for another kiss. "Don't need to."

"Why not?"

"I've already got everything I've ever wanted right here."

It was too dark to tell but he thought Eddie was blushing. "Gah, why did I fall for such a sap?"

"You love me."

Eddie kissed him again, crushing the cigarette to give Steve his full attention. "I do."

And really, what else did Steve need except the love of his life wrapped up in his arms every night?
