"Gah, Robin!"

Eddie, who had been mid-conversation with Argyle about mushrooms, turned to look at Steve after his outburst to find his shirt soaked through.

"Sorry!" Robin dropped an empty beer can and helped Steve out of the shirt.

Eddie took a moment to appreciate Steve Harrington in his shirtless glory, hung up on all that chest hair until Argyle poked him in the cheek. "Dude!"

"Sorry, my man but you were starting to drool." Argyle handed him the joint and Eddie took a long drag. "You into hairy guys?"

He ended up coughing and ruining the high.

"Guess so." Argyle lit another joint. "You should make a move."

"You're way too high," Eddie scoffed and finished the first one. "Steve's straight."

"He sure stares at your ass a lot for a straight guy."

"I'm gonna get a beer." Was all Eddie said and he almost ran inside. He prayed to any god that was listening that Argyle wouldn't say anything to Steve.

"All good, Eds?" He jumped and whirled around to see Steve sliding the door open to join him.

"Yeah, why?"

"You seemed in a hurry."

"More beer." Eddie held up the cans lamely. "Want one?"

"Sure." Steve was close now and Eddie couldn't help looking down, wondering what it'd be like to kiss every inch of his chest. "You sure you're fine?"

"Why are you so attractive?" Eddie's eyes went wide in horror and he gaped at Steve. "I-I mean, shit, I don't think you're attractive! I'm not saying you're ugly, not at all but-" He was mercifully saved as Steve smoothly took control by cupping his face and kissing him. Eddie's eyes fluttered open as they broke apart and he stared at Steve dazedly. "That doesn't help. Now you're more attractive."

Steve laughed and kissed the end of his nose. "You're cute, Eds. Let's go back outside. Come sit with me?"

"Sure."

Eddie spent most of the afternoon sharing Steve's lounger. No one batted an eye but then, in hindsight, Eddie thought they were both obvious. It was only as it got dark that Steve finally got up, saying he wanted a shirt. As soon as he was inside, Eddie rounded on Robin who had been watching them with a particularly smug expression.

"You spilt that beer on purpose, didn't you?"

"It was an accident!" She leaned closer and winked. "You're welcome."

Nancy laughed. "Sometimes accidents don't happen accidentally."

They both dissolved into giggles and Steve gave them a curious look as he slid in behind Eddie again. "What did I miss?"

"Girls are evil." Eddie smiled and turned to kiss Steve, just because he could. When Steve pulled him closer into an embrace, Eddie made a note to buy Robin the biggest box of sour patch kids he could find the next time he went out.
