Chapter 16: Kalebo III

Location: Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman Drek's flagship - Kaledo III Orbit

Drek: (looking at two pictures displaying Ratchet & Clank and Xoruxshy & IF respectively in their ships, somehow spying on Xoruxshy and IF through the TARDIS's perception filter) This is starting to become annoying. (Looks at some of his troops) I'm not sure why I bother with you incompetent idiots…alright, I'll try this one more time. You are my most elite troops. I'm sending you down to the planet's surface to destroy those troublemakers! Now go! Oh, and if you have to destroy Gadgetron to get rid of them, so be it! Fail, and I'll turn you all into Heartless!

Location: Kalebo III Landing Pad

Upon landing on the planet's surface and exiting their ship, they take the only path available to them. Here they find a new enemy, the Blarg Elite Commando. Given that they have extremely long range, Ratchet resorts to using the RYNO this entire adventure. They also come across Seeker Heartless, which thanks to the RYNO piercing their shell, aren't able to blow up Ratchet, Xoruxshy, and IF. An armed transport comes along to drop off more Elite Commandos, but is immediately blown up by Xoruxshy who had recently copied the RYNO. Coming to the front of the building, they see that Drek's forces have raised the security defenses. Turning it off, they head to the right path, leading to the testing grounds.

Here they are locked in with a bunch of hacked Test Dummies wielding Bomb Gloves. With each one destroyed, a Possessor Heartless pops out before dissipating, revealing how they were hacked. Continuing up an elevator, they are ambushed by more Elite Commandos. With no time to prepare, IF accidentally dropped her RYNO, causing it to fire a salvo, coincidentally hitting every Elite Commando in range.

Xoruxshy: Wow. That…was lucky.

Ratchet: I'll say.

IF: (scratches back of head in embarrassment) Sorry…

Continuing on, Xoruxshy shoots the switch across the nearby gap, turning off the laser fence, allowing them to destroy the Seeker behind it before gliding down. Unfortunately once down there, they are surrounded by multiple Seeker Heartless.

Xoruxshy: Everybody get down. (Takes off her Limiters as Ratchet, IF, and Clank get to cover) Chaos… BLAST!

With that, a sphere of Chaos Energy bursts from Xoruxshy with a tinge of Light Magic and Phantom Energy mixed in, destroying the Heartless in an instant.

Ratchet: Whoa! Clank, what was that?

Clank: Sensors indicate that it is Chaos Energy. She must be one of the rare users that is able to generate more than usual.

Xoruxshy: (puts her limiters back on) Well, let's get going!

Continuing forward, they are locked into another testing chamber. This time the Test Dummies are using the Walloper. Due to this, Ratchet uses the RYNO to take care of them swiftly. Passing through to the outside, they are attacked by Chomper Heartless. These are swiftly turned to feathers by Xoruxshy's newly upgraded Pidgeotto Blaster. Crossing over to a circular platform, IF borrows Ratchet's Glove of Doom to take care of some nearby Seeker Heartless. Next is a swingshot leading to another area filled with Chompers and a switch. Ratchet destroys these enemies easily with his new Venomcarapace Omniwrench, designed by Emerald Arsenal's very own Verity. The next area consisted of a grindrail section, allowing for some de-stressing, but not for very long, as it immediately drops them in front of more Chompers, which caused Xoruxshy's eye to twitch before…

Xoruxshy: REEEEEEE! OKAY, WHO THE *QUACK* LET THESE FREAKING HEARTLESS REPRODUCE?! IT'S DISGUSTING! WHEN I SEE DREK, I AM GOING TO GO ALL ONE-WINGED ANGEL ON HIS *QUACK-QUACK* ASS!

Due to Xoruxshy's rage-induced fit, the Heartless swiftly jumped off the edge and killed themselves out of sheer fright.

Notification: You got an Achievement! Scare the Darkness away.

After calming down, the group head into another testing room, where the Test Dummies are now using Pyrocitors. After these Heartless-possessed machines are destroyed, they exit and RYNO the nearby Chompers and Elite Commandos into oblivion. As they enter the final testing area, a bunch of Testing Dummies all come out wielding a combination of Bomb Gloves, Wallopers, and Pyrocitors. Ratchet uses the Bomb Glove to great effect by combining it with the Glove of Doom. This allows them to find the man in charge, Mr. Fixxit.

Ratchet: Excuse me sir, I was wondering if you were concerned about the…uh…invasion?

Mr. Fixxit: Son, our defenses are the best money can buy. Don't give it another thought. You kids ever been on a hoverboard?

Ratchet: Yeah, once or twice. Xoruxshy here produces Extreme Gear and rides it too.

Mr. Fixxit: Yes, I remember you. I apologize for how Gadgetron was copying your friends' inventions and stealing their ideas. I fired those employees responsible for the whole debacle. You won't ever have to worry about that again. Anyway, I am in search of a hip young star to represent my newest line of boards. Someone the kids can look up to. I would like for Ms. Xoruxshy here to be that person. As the CPU Goddess of Mobius, I would imagine this would boost your Shares quite considerably. If you do this, I might be interested in making a merger with your Basilicom's four weapons corporations.

IF: How do you know about that?

Mr. Fixxit: I may be old, but I keep up with the news. I'm getting on in my years, and I won't live much longer. So, I'm looking to sell the company.

Xoruxshy: I would be honored to settle a merger with you, Mr. Fixxit. I'm your girl.

Mr. Fixxit: Then all you'll have to do is beat my test-bots in a race.

So, the deal was made, and Xoruxshy was led to the race-track. Due to security reasons, audiences had to watch from home, and Ratchet, Clank, and IF watched from inside the Gadgetron HQ. It was a grueling race, but with some swift maneuvers on her Extreme Gear, Xoruxshy was able to pull off an amazing win.

Mr. Fixxit: That was terrific. Now I just need you to say a few words about our hot new hoverboards. I'm sure a Lady like yourself will do just fine. Just look into that camera right over there and say what comes naturally.

Xoruxshy: Hey, there, dudes and dudettes! Lady Mobius Heart here at Gadgetron Corporation. Are you tired of being the last one to the party due to a lousy Hoverboard? What about always being last place in races due to not having the latest equipment? Well, here at Gadgetron, they have a new Hoverboard. The XZ88 has the latest in quality speed and maneuverability. Take it from yours truly! Get it now while it's still in stock! And for the kids, we'll include a safety helmet and kneepads to prevent any scrapes and head injuries. Stay safe out there!

Mr. Fixxit: That was marvelous! I knew I picked the right person for the job! And you even included something I didn't even think about! Safety equipment! That could provide a whole new branch of sales. Now, about that merger. I think it's safe to say that you'll get an immediate Gadgetron discount. But, for now, I think that I'll separate the business among your four friends, with you as the Head CEO. How's that sound?

Xoruxshy: I think we can make that work.

Mr. Fixxit: Oh, and here! Have these Hologuises on me.

Xoruxshy: Also, Mr. Fixxit, Tails has given me permission to allow you to have access to a homestead in Gamindustri and on Mobius to live out the rest of your days.

Mr. Fixxit: Thank you. Well, I must be off.

Returning to the main lobby, the group ventured off to the path they didn't go towards before, heading up the elevator. This led them to a grindrail section. Taking the first path filled with mines and barricades led them to the Gadgetron Help Desk Girl, a robot who seemed to like Clank, and gave them a Map-O-Matic. Returning to the Gadgetron Lobby and taking the second path led them to two Gold Bolts. Finally, they returned to the ships and headed back to Quartu.
