"Steve, where the hell are you taking me?"
"Just a little further. Hold up a sec, there's a fallen tree branch so take a big step."
Eddie huffed and allowed Steve to manoeuvre him about. Because he was wearing a stupid blindfold and walking through the woods. The things he did for love. And that was a real kicker wasn't it? That he was dating Steve Harrington.
The Upside Down wasn't the strangest thing to happen to him after all.
"Steve..."
"Almost there, I promise."
"This better be with it." He was confused when they suddenly stopped. "What-"
Steve cupped his face and kissed him. Eddie hummed curiously but he wasn't opposed to the interruption. "Trust me."
How could he not after Steve came back and dragged his ass from literal hell? So he nodded and continued following his boyfriend blindly. Finally, they came to a stop and Steve untied the blindfold. Eddie still has his eyes closed and waited for further instruction.
"Okay, open your eyes."
So he did, eyes widening when he saw the nest of blankets and cushions laid out on the ground, the boom box ready with several of his favourite cassette tapes and the food... there was so much food. Steve let him go and Eddie immediately kicked off his shoes and settled on the blankets. Up close he discovered it was his favourite foods too and turned to smile up at Steve.
"This is amazing."
Steve looked stunned for a second before smiling back and joining him. "I figured you deserved a treat. So we've got a butthead free day and all your favourite things."
"Including you?"
He laughed softly. "Am I one of your favourite things?"
"Not one of," Eddie argued playfully. "The favourite." He kissed Steve before he could get too flustered and when he pulled back his cheeks were pink. "Come on, I'm starving after that hike."
