So... Hi, my name is Ashley and I'm an addict of this ship lol It's not very often that a happy and overall healthy female-loving relationship is presented to me and goddamn it I love them so fucking much. They remind me in their gentle moments of my girlfriend and me which probably doesn't help my addiction but you know, I'll take it lol
Anyway! This will be a little storage place for whatever one-shots or ideas will be bouncing around in my little thick noggin! Hope you all enjoy it!
I stared up in the shushed darkness as I kept a protective arm around the figure lying next to me. Neither of us could sleep just yet despite the tired aches of our muscles from the battle that took place only hours before, but I didn't mind in the slightest. I've been in both Heaven and Hell but the place I loved the most was the gentle silence that came with being with Charlie in these moments.
Said Princess of Hell stirred a little under my arm as she snuggled gently into the space between my chest and neck. Her hair tickled my skin gently as I let the softest smile grace my face.
Who am I kidding? This, right here, is the truest Heaven I have ever witnessed. Angels be damned.
"Can't sleep either I guess?" I spoke gently out into the darkness as I moved my arm slightly around the demon so I could rake my fingers through her long blonde hair.
"Despite being more tired than I think I ever have been? Yeah."
"It's normal after days like today, babe. Nothing to worry about." I nuzzled my cheek into her hair slowly as I felt her release a content sigh into the skin of my collarbone.
"Is the aftermath of these sorts of things normally like this?" I felt her bring her arm around so she could place her hand ever so gently onto the fabric covering my stomach.
"Sadly, I can say after the ones I've witnessed in both the living realm and the dead, no. Not really." I reached slowly to take her hand in mine. "But having these types of moments with you has always been better than anything I have ever experienced before." My girlfriend let out a happy little giggle before rubbing her face into my being.
"Oh, Vaggie." A smile spread wide across my face and I squeezed the demon just enough to let them know I meant every word. A small blanket of silence laid over us for a brief second as I played with the soft skin of her hand.
"You know," I looked down toward our joint hands as my smile kept itself in place. "When I spoke with Carmilla, she refused to tell me how she killed that angel at first."
"Really? Why?" I turned my gaze toward Charlie as I felt her lift her head to do the same to me.
"She wanted me to prove to her why I wanted to know. She wanted to see my intentions. To her, there was only one way you could kill an angel and it was based on the purpose of which you were doing it." I gave her hand a small squeeze as my smile softened on my face. "And she would only tell me if I proved that my purpose was the same." I watched Charlie's eyes as they shifted to that loving gaze I was so lucky to be at the receiving end of despite my wrongdoings.
"And what was that?" I leaned my head up just enough to place a small kiss on her forehead before laying it back down again.
"Love, Charlie." I rubbed small circles with my thumb on the side of her hand as I saw the cutest smile grace my girlfriend's face. "I had to prove I was doing it to protect those I love. When she said to picture who I cared most about and how I needed to give my everything to protect them, I could only think of one thing." I moved my arm that was wrapped around her so I could move a piece of hair that starting to fall into her eyes back into place. "I could only think of you."
"Vaggie~." She drew out my name so beautifully that it could belong in the chorus of one of her songs. "That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard." I saw a tear forming in her right eye which I instinctively reached to dry.
"I just," I watched as Charlie inched closer to me as I kept my hand placed on her cheek. "I just love you more than anything."
"And I love you just as much, my angel." She leaned forward and placed our foreheads together as I let out a happy little sigh.
"I'm happy you could forgive me, Charlie." My voice was barely above a whisper as I removed my hand from hers so I could cup her face with both of them. I moved slightly as she wrapped her arms around my waist so she could do so comfortably. "I never wanted to hurt you as much as I did. I wanted to tell you, I swear, I was just-." I stopped as she bumped my nose gently with her own.
"It's okay, I know you had your reasons. It's hard to talk about something you're not proud of. Especially when you know it could hurt someone you love." I smiled weakly as I felt her arms squeeze my waist. "You were afraid, and that's normal."
"What did I ever do to deserve you?"
"Being yourself?" We giggled together as we nuzzled our noses together. "You're my everything, Vaggie."
"And you're mine, Charlie." My eyes fluttered shut as we leaned together so our lips could meet in what I have learned to be the most loving and intimate way I have ever felt. Including my years with the living and the dead. I instinctively slipped my hand to the back of her head to deepen it which she lovingly reciprocated without any hesitation.
This is the truest Heaven in all the realms.
I felt her hum ever so softly against my lips and I could swear I had died all over again.
And it's all because of her. The wind beneath my wings. My apple to my garden of Eden. The source of all my strength and my reason for fighting with everything I can give.
The love of my life.
My Morningstar.
