I was drifting in a void, not sure of where I was or when I got here. It took a while, longer then I'd like for sure, to remember who I was and my past. Though for some reason I couldn't remember my name, first or last. I didn't care to much as I remember hating my name anyway.
I was a fairly normal guy, or at least tried to be. I had anger issues and a stupid amount of strength for no reason, apparently I somehow didn't have them same limiters that everyone else had to stop their muscles from using their full strength. Mine were far more lose, it seemed to be from my anger to an extent, I was called the Hulk as a joke quite a few times. Problem was I could hurt myself from my strength, not fun by the way.
I had to take up mediation to help and winded up getting really into it at a certain point of my life. I stopped being to into it after I got good control of myself, which was the whole point to begin with. I was a normal office worker for a small company in the US and was a massive fan of different media. I could safely be called a nerd. Problem was I had difficulty making friends at a young age and gave up by adulthood.
I had some work friends but they were shallow connections at best. I also got myself a girlfriend a time or two, but it was also shallow. I winded up dying alone, no family (they were assholes anyway) and no friends. Speaking of dying, yeah I died and that's probably why I'm here.
I didn't die in some heroic moment or great tragedy, I merely had health problems. A family history you see (just cause I didn't like them didn't mean I ignored my medical history from them). A long list of bad shit was my family medical history, including almost every type of cancer there is. Yeah it was cancer that did me in, had it once and thought it was gone, turns out not. I got a worse case in my twenties and didn't want to go through treatment just to hold off the end (their words not mine).
So I just decided to live my last days making the best of it and made sure to write a final copy of my will. I lasted a year but no more and went while watching a movie in bed, luckily I got to see the ending. 'I had some regrets yes, still do, but my biggest was giving up on making a family for myself and not doing what I truly loved before it was too late. Oh well maybe the next life while be better' I thought.
Just as I thought that a screen appeared in front of me looking like a videogame window. Before I even read it I thought 'you got to be kidding me'. Turns out no it wasn't.

Underworld 2017
Ugh, wow that sucked. To put into perspective what just happened, I just had 17 years' worth of memories shoved into my head all at once. So yeah it fucking hurt like a bitch. Luckily the pain faded almost immediately. Now as for the memories, oh boy did I not see this coming.
Let's start from the beginning, I was born in Rome on July 13 2000. My new mom was a nun that was seduced by a strange man that met her at a festival. He left after their shared night before she woke up and she never saw him again. She then found out a few weeks later that she was pregnant. The church she worked at to pity on her and helped her out.
When I was born it was immediately obvious that I was not fully human due to me having red eyes. My mother was kicked out after she refused to have me killed and so she moved to France to start a new life with me. I grew up in a small town were my mom worked at a small clinic as a nurse. Over time I discovered some of my abilities and confronted my mom about them. That was when she told me the story.
I was angry at my father and the church but I decided to just try and live my life as best I can. Then yesterday a stray devil attacked in my hometown and the devil called in to take care of it was none other than my bastard father. Apparently it was his servant. He recognized me and my mother when he saw us.
After he killed the stray he decided to kill my mother to hide the shame of siring a half-breed, his words. He was even more upset because I seemed weak to him. He was going to kill me to but he couldn't kill his own blood apparently, at least not directly. So he kidnapped me and took me where I am now. As he explained it I'm on the only island in the underworld.
In this universe the underworld is a planet two times the size of earth with two super continents separated by a large ocean. This ocean is like a band around the planet running north to south. To the west is the land of the devils where it is always night and to the east is the land of the fallen where it's always day. In the center of the ocean is an island that houses the most dangerous demons in the underworld. Demons are the animals of the underworld.
Only the strongest can get here or leave, unless you use someone else's teleport waypoint. The only way to teleport to the island is to have been here before and placing a waypoint. However if the owner allows you to you can use someone else's waypoint. That's how my 'father' got here with me as he's not strong enough to do it himself. The reason it's so hard to get here, or leave, is that the water destroys whatever enters it and disrupts most magic.
So you would have to fly from the mainland to the island and vis versa in one go no stops to make it. That apparently takes a lot of energy so only the strong can do it. I know all this because dear old dad loves to fucking talk. He also told me if I made it to the mainland to go find him as he would be willing to accept me then for proving my strength. I'm his only child and thus his heir, and therefore the heir to the Barbatos clan.
Yeah already there is plenty of changes from canon, but not enough to affect the important stuff just like the system said. Also as for my 'dad's' order he can go fuck himself. No way in hell am I going to him once I get out of here.

Ok so I'm freaking out on the inside in joy but I'm trying to focus. I try and picture the strongest thing I can just like in the series. If your wondering I'm picturing a Dragon God. Soon I start to feel something building inside me. Then all of a sudden there's a bright light and on my arm is the Boosted Gear and on my neck a amulet made from black metal with a purple gem hanging from it.
I'll admit I did not expect this. Well let's talk to Ddraig.
'Hey… anyone there' I thought.
'Yes I'm here/ I'm here' two voice's respond.
Ok, that's unexpected.
'I-Is that you… Mortiea?' Ddraig, because his voice is very recognizable to me so I can tell it's him, said with a kind of fragile hope in his voice. As for Mortiea, I have no idea who that is.
'Yes love it's me' the other voice, now confirmed to be this Mortiea, spoke.
'Ok who are you Mortiea because I know who Ddraig is?' I ask the second voice.
'Ah, you see I'm Ddraig's mate, the Dragon Demi-God of the Abyss' she explains.
'Ok, cool but, YOU DON'T EXIST IN CANON!' I shout in mind because even with Gamers Mind, I'm freaking out and not in a good way!
'…What do you mean she doesn't exist in 'canon'?' Ddraig asks.
'Just look at my memories and you'll get it' I say because I just don't know what to do.
A few minutes later I hear in my head to voices again.
'WHAT THE HELL!' was Ddraig's response to the world shattering information he got from my memories. While Mortiea's reaction was far more… tame.
'Huh' was all she said. I think I'm going to get along with her.
'You're from another universe!' Ddraig says still freaking out.
'Well actually I'm a reincarnate, so technically I'm a part of this world' I clarify like a little shit.
'You seem nonplused by this Mortiea' I say 'By the way who are you?'
'Well since I don't exist in the story you know I'll explain' she says.
'You don't need to worry though me existing shouldn't affect the knowledge you possess. It seems that all of what effects the first few 'arches' is the same so you should be good until the peace summit if you don't make too drastic of changes. Now as for who I am' she tells me. Honestly that reassurance makes me feel more at ease.
'I am the only Dragon Demi-God in this universe. That is a title as much as a rank for dragons. It is the rank between Heavenly Dragon, like my mate, and Dragon God like Ophis and Great Red. Unlike the Dragon Gods I was not born with my power, but I was born at the level of Heavenly Dragon. I decided to train to become stronger like most dragons. I then reached my current power level.
I gained my title from my power reaching the level it did, the domain of the Abyss. What it entails is the powers of death, destruction, darkness, and chaos thus my name which is taken from the word 'mortality'. I had the appearance of what you'd call an eastern dragon with black and purple scales. Eventually thousands of years later I met Ddraig, he tried to fight me. Naturally he lost almost immediately (Ddraig shivers) and after I asked why he challenged me. He explained that he wanted to get stronger and so he decided to challenge anything strong in an attempt to do so.
I told him he was being an idiot with how he was going about trying to get stronger. You see while I had trained to get stronger myself I wasn't borderline suicidal when going about it. So I then decided to help him as at the time he was a fairly young dragon and I didn't want him getting killed. As time went on and he became stronger and older we fell in love. It helped that he mellowed out a lot with my influence.
We became mates and were happy for a while. Later a dragon that you know named Albion, he wanted a rival and when he heard about Ddraig and myself he thought we could withstand his poison. We could but I didn't want to fight him so Ddraig become his rival. He wanted to get even stronger so he could become closer to being my equal. Thus their infamous rivalry began.
Then about 2000 years ago, give or take a century, the biblical god decided to take action against me. You see the biblical god feared dragons due to our power. So I made him nervous my entire life and due to me being weaker than the Dragon Gods he thought he could kill me. However he knew he couldn't do it alone but didn't want to risk his angels due to the war. So he contacted his wayward son Lucifer while not telling his angels about it and convinced him to aid him in his attempt to kill me.
Lucifer agreed and didn't tell his forces due to the same reasons as the biblical god. They choose a time when Ddraig was away fighting Albion, and hit hard and fast. The battle was long and bloody but they killed me. Then I came back because of a detail they didn't know, I can't die. My soul is immortal and can remake my body around it to bring me back to the land of the living no matter what.
So the battle continued until the biblical god had an idea. They separated my soul from my body and then sealed me in a sacred gear made using parts from my still alive body. This was to trick my soul into not remaking my body, and sadly it worked thus the sacred gear 'Abyss Amulet' was born. A sacred gear he never got the chance to tell anyone about.
Ddraig came back to our den and found my body unresponsive, soon realizing that my soul was gone. You see my body is still alive to this day due to my extreme regenerative powers but it's like my body's in a coma. He then sensed the energy signatures of a devil and a holy god. This told him all he needed to know of who did it.
He then went to Albion for help in his attempt for revenge but Albion decided to be a dick and taunt him about how he 'Couldn't keep his mate safe'. That started a battle like no other between them that eventually Ddraig decided to use to his advantage by teleporting them to the main battle field of the Abrahamic Faiths war. This was to force Albion to fight with him against the factions. It worked but you know how the battle ended.
After Ddraig gained his first host he found my host and they became lovers, like us. This kept happening to our hosts, ether being lovers or life long friends, once even siblings. I then realized that due to our sacred gears searching for compatible souls that those souls would be compatible with each other as well. This is due to the Mate Bond that dragons use to mark each other as mates, which we did. It makes a magical connection between souls and can make the ones that do it stronger in most cases. That's why some dragons have harems.
So I can guess the reason you have both of use is that your soul is compatible and due to you being a soul from another universe you cased a glitch in the biblical god's already broken system. Thus you have the both of us. If you're wondering no one knows about me as I only give one or two of my abilities to my wielders till now so they can hide my existence. Only Ddraig and Albion know.
Ddraig because of obvious reasons and Albion because I've had to threaten him and his wielders a few times. This secret has been kept because of an ability that all my users gain from me before I even awaken, Power Concealment. It makes it so others think my hosts are weak and don't even possess a sacred gear. You'll be able to turn this on and off don't worry.
Now I will give you as many of my abilities as I can with your current level of power, my mate will do the same' she finishes saying.
'I will?' Ddraig askes.
'Yes you will. We are finally reunited in a way that lets us freely be together so I'm planning on having this host never die. To due so he needs to get stronger as from what I've seen of this 'Gamer System' he is fully capable of due so. Only if he gets stronger though so help Ddraig or I'll give you the silent treatment again!' she threatens after saying her reasons. Though honestly that doesn't feel like too big a threat to me.

[There are different types of classes that the user can take and unlock. The currently known ones are Starter Classes, Standard Classes, Advanced Classes, and Divine Classes. These types apply to both Main Classes and Job Classes, except Starter Classes those only appear as Main Classes. Starter Classes give 10 stat points each level divided depending on the class and have 50 levels. Standard Classes give 10 stat points each level divided depending on the class and have 100 levels when a Main Class. Advanced Classes give 15 stat points each level divided depending on the class and have 100 levels when a Main Class. Divine Classes give 20 stat points each level divided depending on the class and have 200 levels when a Main Class. In order to take a Standard Class you must max out a Starter Class. In order to take an Advanced Class you must unlock it and have maxed out 2 Standard Classes. In order to take a Divine Class you must unlock it and have maxed out 2 Advanced Classes. Each type requires twice the amount of exp per level than the previous one.]

I'm glad now I can focus and have some privacy.
I look around me for the first time since I 'woke up'. It appears I'm on the shore. I can tell this because of the sand and the endless ocean behind me. I decide to look at my new reflection in the water.
I'm being honest when I say that I look handsome in this life. I'm not supermodel hot but still good looking. I have crimson red eyes with blue specks, weird I know, black hair the shade of coal and a somewhat tanned completion and I'm 6 feet tall. My ethnicity is half Japanese half European so I have a few features from both. Luckily nothing is weirdly small to me, and yes from my memories 'that' is a pretty good size too. It seems that the devil genes took the best of both sides of my human heritage. Good for me.
I don't have a lot of muscle or definition but I assume that will change after I increase my stats. Anyway I'm wearing a set of clothes that I love especially since I can pull it off. I have on a black t-shirt with black cargo pants as well. On my feet are steal toed black combat boots that the pants are tucked into. In my ears are ruby studs and around my neck is the Abyss Amulet, the Boosted Gear being de-summoned, making for some nice looking jewelry. Finally over the whole thing is a black trench coat that goes down to just above the knees, it has tons of pockets on the inside as well.
I look so fucking cool apparently my mom was cool with me dressing like this as she stopped giving a fuck about social norms shortly after I was born. Since she was raised by the church when she got out she found out about all she missed, mainly pants. I never saw her in a skirt my whole life except for photos. As she put it she never wanted to not have pockets again. So my clothes were the least of her concern.
She had only a few rules for me growing up which just boiled down in the end to 'Don't be a dick for no reason'. I massively respect that mentality. So that helped ensure I didn't act in ways I'd regret now that I'm in control. Anyway, now that I know what I look like I'll go into an I.D. to level up because there is no way I can survive the Isle of Demons, the name of this place, at level… 0? Ok I guess it works like that then.
I chose the slime dungeon and see that as I clear the dungeons they unlock higher colors of the same type. So after I clear the slime dungeon on white I can then challenge the slime dungeon on blue. I then confirm my selection and the world seems to shatter around me. I then find myself in a small medieval town with slimes all around and no people.
Then a pop up shows up in front of me.

Clear this small village of slimes and defeat the boss to clear this dungeon.
