Reigning from distant realms
the two gods have gathers warriors from all lands
to lead them in savage war.
Cosmos and Chaos are of equal strength.
It was believed the conflict would last forever.
But the Balance was broken.
Those who answered Chaos' call
created an inexhaustible force.
And under vicious attack without relent,
the Warriors fighting for Cosmos began to fall one by one.
The war that has raged on for thirteen cycles
was about to end in Chaos' favor.
The world has been torn sundered,
sinking into a vortex of disorder.
As for the few surviving warriors...
Chaos: This must not stand! If I must go, then I take the whole world with me! Begone, mortals!
And so, the war ended in Cosmos' favor.
Or the war came to an unexpected end.
For, it was the world itself wishing for a second chance.
However, the battle between Cosmos and Chaos never ended, but now within Cosmos' heiress and Chaos' incarnation, Materia and Spiritus, who summoned forth warriors yet again and to do battle against the planesgorger known as Shinryu. And it was so that these young warriors defeated the dragon and rebuilt the world into several different realms, each with their own story. One of which was Eorzea, a realm embraced by gods and forged by heroes, and now the XIVth cycle of battle was to begin again, but this time with a new member who fight for Chaos entering the fray.
