[BGM: Time Bomb's Ticking - Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door]
Mario, Goombella, Koops, Flurrie, and the Punies were all making a run for the exit to the Great Tree after Lord Crump set off a time bomb that would blow up in 300 seconds.
Just as they made it to the exit, Lord Crump was there arguing with the Puni Elder.
"There you are, Lord Crump! You're cornered!" exclaimed Mario.
150 seconds
Lord Crump was taken aback to see the heroes made it alive and well.
"Honestly, did you REALLY think we'd let a wretch like you escape?" added Flurrie. "I do believe you'll be handing over that Crystal Star and promptly exiting this tree!"
140 seconds
"Buh! Buh! Buh huh huh!" guffawed Lord Crump. "You guys are wild, you know that? Oh well. I guess I'd better shut off this timer."
However, he did nothing. The timer was still going and he just stood there. The Elder grew annoyed.
"Well, what are you waiting for?! Do it!"
Lord Crump started sweating. "Uh… guy behind the screen? Can you press A? I need to end my dialogue box… Player…? I DON'T WANT TO DIE!
130 seconds
Goombella also grew worried. "Um… Mario? What should we do?"
Mario didn't respond. He just stood there motionless.
"Mario? Mario…? Uh… time bomb in here! We gotta do something!"
120 seconds
Goombella started sweating waterfalls. "Hellooooooooooooo?! MUSHROOM WORLD TO MARIO! GAAAAAAAAAH! Flurrie, wave your arms in front of him, 'cause I don't have any!"
Koops began muttering indiscernible phrases, but was certainly terrified.
110 seconds
Flurrie waved her arms in front of Mario's face. "Mario? Darling? We kinda need you in the moment right now. Are… you okay?"
Mario still didn't respond. Now everyone was REALLY starting to panic.
100 seconds
"PLEASE press A! I have so much to live for!" begged Crump.
"Who are you talking to, you doofus?!" said the Puni Elder. "Marty-o! Snap out of whatever trance you're in and whack him on the head!
90 seconds
Goombella's patience was waning rapidly. "MARIO! WAKE UP! THE TIMER'S STILL GOING DOWN!"
The Punis started running rapidly with their antennas glowing red while Flurrie tried to calm them down. Meanwhile, Koops began hyperventilating into a paper bag.
80 seconds
"WE'RE GOING TO DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!" screamed Koops as he tucked into his shell and cried.
"MARIO, TIME'S-A TICKING!" Goombella headbonked Mario, but not even that got him to react.
70 seconds
"What are we gonna do, big brother?! I'm too young to die!" wailed Petuni.
"I don't know!" cried Punio.
"St-Stay close dearies…" Flurrie was at tears as well.
60 seconds
"One minute left! Player, PRESS A! NOW! I'LL DO ANYTHING!" screamed Lord Crump.
Goombella just about had it at this point and was fuming at the stem.
"WHAT IS A?!"
50 seconds
"I don't know! I just know that's what the player needs to press to advance the cutscene!"
"PLAYER?! CUTSCENE?! I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE GREAT TREE, NOT CRAZY TOWN!"
40 seconds
Koops' crying in his shell became silent sniffling, and Flurrie was hugging the Punies close.
"I TOLD YOU WE COULDN'T TRUST THIS GUY, PUNIO!" argued Puniper.
30 seconds
Goombella's red color faded, and now she just looked at Mario with disappointment.
"You know what? I'm done with you, Mario! First you bully Punio when we first meet him and now this!"
20 seconds
"I looked up to you! I thought you were the coolest guy ever! I even had a bit of a crush on you! But no! You're just a joke!"

I returned to my room after having to do a quick task, only to be met with this.
