A/N:

Enjoy some cuteness! No clue where the names Caroline or Xavier came from, but my naming scheme is I think of the concept of the thing, and then whatever name pops into my head is that name.

Hence why my car is now named Caria…

I never said it was a good naming scheme XD

Anyway, enjoy some background Theomione! :)

"Toddlers are Bundles of Energy"

Theo bundled the twins up and out the door before his wife even woke up. Today was a stressful day at work for her, so Theo made sure he had all of her chores out of the way and the two toddlers out the door so she wouldn't have too much on her plate as she worked from home. She would only have a half day today before they headed off on their vacation to the continent, but knowing her, she would want perfection, and perfection takes more than four hours in Hermione Nott's world.

And so, in matching onesies, the two two year olds were unleashed upon the indoor playground. It was a new installment in the neighborhood, a brand new building for the little ones that connected to a larger outside area with a more expansive jungle gym and interaction center for the older kids. The younger kid area, however, had springy foam for the floor, soft climbing mats, and a giant ball pit. Overhead sat a large faux tree canopy that prevented the sun from being too harsh as it shone through the giant clear glass windows.

Hermione and Theo had taken the twins here once a few weeks ago, much to their enjoyment. Hermione had likened it to the indoor playground from McDonalds of her childhood, something Theo was led to believe was just a Muggle thing, since the wizarding world had no such equivalent. The twins enjoyed the playground now just as much as they did then, and he was glad for it. If they could burn all of their excess morning energy off now, they would be able to travel during the twins' naptime and not have to worry about fussy babies during the Portkey.

"Papa!" Caroline called out as she rushed at Theo. He grinned upon seeing her, grabbing her and lifting her up into the air much to her delighted squeal. He automatically sought out Caroline's twin, Xavier, only to find him sitting in the ball pit, gnawing on a ball. Theo winced, already hearing his wife nag in his ear about how sanitary those balls were.

"Papa, hungee!" Caroline insisted, lightly tapping his cheek. Theo grinned at his daughter before snuggling her close. "Papa!" She giggled.

"Ex, come on over and get a snack with Linny!" Theo called out as he set her down. She waited impatiently at his knee as Theo rummaged in the diaper bag for the snacks he packed. Xavier suddenly appeared at his other knee, nearly knocking himself out as he headbutted Theo's kneecap. Xavier stumbled and Theo's hand quickly shot out to steady his son. All too soon, however, he pulled out two identical mini pringles cans from the bag and handed them over, the lids off. He had previously opened them this morning before they left for this exact reason. When you have children, the more prep you can do before they wake up, the easier life will become when out and about. The twins, with snacks in hand, did the precarious toddler wobble before landing on their butts in order to sit to eat their snack, nearly unison in their actions.

With a few more hours to go until his wife would be available, Theo was content to just sit and watch his children as they snacked. Soon enough, they had their fill, washed the chips down with some water from their sippy cups, and were right back in the action, squealing in delight as they explored together. They weren't going to be this small forever, and Theo planned on cherishing every last moment he had with his family.
