Chapter 9
Downtown Vale was bursting with activity as the town began preparations for the upcoming Vytal Festival, a giant event in celebrations of another year of continued peace between the four kingdoms. As decorations were being put up the members of team RWBY and KNPR were walking through the streets in awe.
"The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!" Weiss said, stopping and raising her arms in amazement as Naruto and Kuro were laughing at how excited she was being while Pyrrha was giggling.
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss." Ruby said to the Heiress frowning a little. "It's kind of creeping me out."
"Also where did Winter go, I haven't seen her all day?" Naruto asked, having noticed the older Schnee sister hadn't been here all day.
"Winter's been in call meetings all day with Atlas, Professor Ozpin, Amber, and even my mother, but said she'd catch up with us later on tonight." Weiss informed him who nodded before continuing her rant.
"Huh, I guess that explains why I haven't seen Amber either." Naruto muttered to himself. He hadn't seen her all morning, so that would make sense if she was with them when he realized something. "How's your mom doing? I haven't spoken to her since I left." He said to her.
"Oh, mother has been doing better over the last few years. She's been standing up to father more and isn't afraid of him anymore." Weiss smiled when her mother returned to her real self.
"I'm glad to hear that, she deserves so much better than that bastard father of yours. Is she getting the company back from him by any chance?" Naruto asked with the others listening in, especially Blake who was very interested in this.
"She's been fighting for it and is slowly making progress, but not fast enough sadly." Weiss frowned, despite how much Willow had changed and how much progress she had made in taking the company back herself, but it wasn't enough still.
"She'll figure something out. I'd like to visit her sometime if that's alright with you and Winter." Naruto said with Weiss's smile growing knowing that her mother would love to see him again.
"That would be great, she'd like to see you again. We can plan a sometime during the break to go see her." Weiss said with Naruto smiling and nodding in agreement when Weiss looked around with a smile.
"Look at this everyone, a festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!" Weiss continues turning to her partner.
"The fact you find the planning and organization of this breathtaking, makes me feel like it's just a boring old festival." Kuro said dryly with a hint of teasing in her voice as the group continued to walk.
"Yeah, you really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring." Yang said, agreeing with her harem sister as she crossed her arms.
"Quiet, the both of you!" Weiss said to the two as she walked away with a hmph.
"Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?" Yang asked as they headed toward the docks.
"Ugh, they smell like fish!" Ruby cried out as she covered her nose from the smell of fresh fish.
"Yang does have a point Weiss." Pyrrha said, looking at the heiress. " I mean, there is no real reason for all of us to be here."
"Well for your information, I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!" Weiss said with a smug tone in her voice.
"She also wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament." Blake says as the girl starts walking away then turned back looking appalled at Blake.
"You can't prove that!" Weiss scoffed at the Faunus girl while Naruto just laughed. "And what is so funny Naruto?"
"Well Princess, you are not proving Blake wrong!" Naruto chuckled as Weiss looked away blushing furiously.
The rest of the group followed Naruto in his fit of laughter until Ruby looked over to a nearby store.
"Whoa!" Ruby said as she and the others came up to the store which had a broken window with members of the Vale Police Department combing the area for clues. "What happened here?"
"Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle." A Detective answered as he walked over to his partner.
"That's terrible." Yang said sadly with Pyrrha and Kuro nodded in agreement.
"Well not really. They left all the money, but took all the dust."
"Huh?" Ruby said in surprise, remembering Torchwick doing the same thing months prior.
"That doesn't make sense." Pyrrha observed the area around her looking at the evidence.
"Yeah, it just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?" The first detective said scratching the back of his head in confusion.
"I don't know, an army?" The second detective said unsure how to respond.
"You thinking the White Fang?"
"Yeah, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough." The second detective said taking off his sunglasses while Weiss gained a look of annoyance while Naruto's eyes widened at this.
"Oh shit, what the hell is Adam up too? Why does he and Torchwick need this much dust? From what Ruby has told me, he's been doing the robbing, but if what I've learned is right, then the Faunus in the White Fang and Torchwick are working together. That's not good." Naruto thought to himself with worry.
"Hmph! The White Fang." Weiss said, crossing her arms and pointing her nose in the air with her eyes closed. "What an awful bunch of degenerates!"
"What's your problem?" Blake said, narrowing her eye's at Weiss's statement.
"My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane." Weiss said, turning to Blake.
"Uh oh." Naruto thought as he moved to calm a loaded gun ready to fire. "Girls it might not be the…"
"The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths." Blake interrupted crossing her arms in a serious tone. "They're a collection of misguided Faunus."
"Misguided? They want to wipe Humanity off the face of the planet!" Weiss said, getting even more annoyed than before.
"I don't if I would say all of them, there could be a number of reasons why someone would join the group and throwing accusations like this won't help anyone." Naruto said, than pulling Weiss closer to him. "And remember, Blake used to be apart of them until months ago, so saying these things isn't helping. We can talk about this later, for now drop it, please." Naruto gave her a pleading look which she saw and nodded slowly when she stepped back and turned towards Blake.
"I'm sorry for my words Blake, I simply forgot about what you told us." Weiss bowed her head in shame with Blake looking at Naruto who nodded before going back to her teammate.
"It's okay, Weiss. I think it's a sore subject for both of us, so why don't we just enjoy the day out?" Blake asked, getting a smile from Weiss who nodded getting sighs of relief from him and the others.
"Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale!" Blake continued getting more confused by the second.
"Hmm... Blake's got a point. Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy Naruto and I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him." Ruby said, trying to stop the argument between her friends.
"Yeah. Weiss there is no clear evidence that the White Fang is involved." Naruto said in a calm tone to appease the two girls. "But yes the White fang has become increasingly violent in the last few years. It doesn't mean that they want to destroy humanity."
"Hey, stop that Faunus!"
Both teams looked back over to the docks, where they saw two sailors chasing a young man with a monkey tail. The Faunus had yellow hair similar to Naruto's but looked bleached with blue eyes. He wore a white short sleeved collared shirt with it unbuttoned showing off his chest, Blue jean shorts, sneakers and red arm guards.
"Thanks for the ride, guys! Haha!" The Faunus said to his pursuers as he jumped off the ship he was on and hit the dock running.
"You no-good stowaway!" One of the Sailors said angrily, shaking his fist to the Faunus.
"Hey! A no-good stowaway would've been caught! I'm a great stowaway!" The Faunus said, hanging from a light post with his tail as he pulled out a banana. Before he could eat the fruit, one of the detectives down below throws a stone at him to get his attention.
"Hey! Get down from there this instant!" The First detective called out to the boy who replied by throwing the banana peel at his face.
The Boy then twirls to crouch position on the light post, not before laughing in amusement he jumps off and starts to run away from the detectives. As he ran by both team RWBY, Naruto, and KNPR he gives Blake a flirting wink which annoyed her, but also Naruto whose eye was twitching at the monkey Faunus and continued to run away.
"Well, Weiss, you wanted to see the competition, and there it goes..." Yang said as the Faunus disappeared from sight.
"Quick! We have to observe him!" Weiss cried, pointing in the direction where the detectives were heading.
Pyrrha, Ruby, Nora, and Weiss start to give chase leaving Blake, Naruto, Ren, Kuro, and Yang behind.
"Uh what just happened?" Kuro asked, confused about the whole ordeal.
"I have no idea." Ren answered, also confused, then looked at Kuro. "Should we follow them?"
"Why are you asking me?" Kuro asked.
"Cause Naruto looks like he is gonna blow his head off." Ren said, pointing to the Blond leader whose right eye was twitching hard.
"Yeah, we better go after them." Kuro said as the two start to after their friends leaving Blake, Yang, and a fuming Naruto behind them. Blake shook her head in confusion and looked to the Blond who was muttering curses while also mentioning something about castrating and feeding to Samehada which made Ren pale at hearing this, still in earshot and ran faster. Blake and Yang looked back to see Naruto trailing behind slower than everyone else and was upset about something it looked like.
"Naruto, are you alright?" Yang asked after he caught up to her when she placed a hand on his shoulder which got Naruto's attention.
"It's what the monkey faunus did isn't it?" Blake asked, getting a snort from Yang who also saw him wink at Blake and now understood why he was pissed.
"Nooooo, I don't know what you mean. Just let me go get Samehada real quick and I'll just talk to him. Repeatedly. With my sword." Naruto said when they both grabbed an arm and gave him a teasing and stern look telling him no which he pouted at them.
"...Fine, fine." Naruto said getting them to let go as he turned toward his other soon to be girlfriend. "Yang… I was wondering if you wanted to…"
"Naruto come quick!" The pair heard Ruby as they looked at each other then proceeded to catch up with the rest of their group.
As Yang, Blake, and Naruto came up to the group they immediately noticed that Weiss had crashed into an orange-haired girl with green eyes, and freckles. She was wearing a whitish-gray old-fashioned blouse with short gray feminine overalls, as well as a black and green collar with a matching pair of stockings.
"Weiss what did you do?" Naruto asked, looking towards the heiress who was blushing up a storm.
"Nothing, we were following that Faunus when I crashed into this girl!" Weiss said, trying to defend herself as she gets off from the girl who has an unfazed smile.
"Sal-u-ta-tions!" The girl cheerfully greeted the group of nine.
"Um Hello!" Ruby weakly greeted a bit unnerved by the girls attitude.
"Are you okay?" Nora asked, looking slightly concerned for the girl.
"I am wonderful, thank you for asking." The girl answered in a cheerful tone.
Naruto and the others looked at each other in bewilderment as they looked back at the girl.
"Do you…. Want to get up?" Yang asked, looking confused.
"Yes." The girl says after a minute then proceeds to leaps to her feet startling both teams. "My name is Penny! It is a pleasure to meet you."
"Uh hi Penny. My name is Ruby." Ruby said, introducing herself to the Girl.
"I'm Weiss." Weiss greeted giving a slight curtsy.
"Blake." Was all the cat Faunus said.
"Are you sure you didn't get hit in the head?" Yang asked but was shoved in the stomach by Blake who looked over to the ravenette with a heated glare but then looked back at Penny. "Oh, I'm Yang!"
"It's a pleasure to meet you Penny. My name is Kurotsuchi." Kuro said a little forcefully for some reason that Naruto picked up on.
"My name is Nora." The orangette gave an excitable grin.
"Name's Lie Ren." Ren greeted with a sigh.
"And my name is…" Naruto began before he was interrupted by Penny.
"I already know who you are, Naruto Uzumaki." Penny said, looking to the Blond shinobi. "I have been programmed to study everything about you."
"Uh… What?" Naruto asked, confused.
"In fact 99.9999999% of your fights you tend to fight in different weapons and use a source called Chakra and the elements you've been known to use is wind, water, earth, wood release and recently, lava and somehow can summon meteorites out of the sky." Penny had the same smile on her face, while everyone else was worried and confused on how she knew so much about him.
"Well it was very nice meeting you, but we better get going." Weiss said as she started to walk away with the group following close behind. "Sorry for running into you."
"Take care, friend." Ruby said to Penny whose eyes lit up as the group walked away.
"Well… She was weird." Yang said in a low voice with most of the group nodding their heads in agreement.
"And how on earth did she know so much about me or the fact I use Chakra, only a few people are aware of me and my origins?" Naruto asked with concern in his voice.
"Now where did that Faunus run off to." Weiss asked looking to her right for a moment then turned her head to see Penny standing in front of her, shocking both her and Yang.
"What did you call me?" Penny asked, looking confused.
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know you heard me." Yang apologized as Weiss looked back and forth in complete shock that was mirrored by Robin who was equally shocked.
"No, not you." Penny says as she walks through the group and points at Ruby. "You."
"Me? I-I don't know… Um." Ruby said startled
"You called me 'friend'! Am I really your friend?" Penny asked in an excited tone.
"Uuuuumm…." Ruby began as she looked past Penny to her friends and family who were motioning to deny her, especially Naruto who had crossed his arms into an X. "Y-Yeah, sure! Why not?"
This caused everyone to fall down comically as Penny looked overjoyed.
"Sen-sa-tion-al!" Penny laughed as she pulled Ruby into a tight hug and released her. "We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys!"
"Was I like this, when we first met?" Ruby asked Weiss as she was dusting herself off.
"No. She is far more coordinated." Weiss said to the girl with a smirk, making her leader tear up at her words.
"So... what are you doing in Vale?" Yang asked, looking at the girl.
"Yeah… I mean you don't look like you are from Vale." Nora added crossing her arms.
"I'm here to fight in the tournament." Penny said, looking towards the two.
"Wait, you're here to fight in the tournament?" Both Weiss and Kuro said at the same equally shocked.
"Yep. I am Combat ready." Penny said with a salute.
"You don't really look the part." Naruto said in a unsure tone of voice looking at her.
"Wait a minute." Weiss said, walking to Penny and places her hand on the girl's shoulders.
"If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed. Faunus ran off too?" Weiss asked, wanting to know where he went.
"The who?" Penny asked, confused at what Weiss was saying.
"The Faunus from the boat!" Weiss yelled, holding a poorly drawn picture of the guy with the words' idiot written above his head and 'Naruto has better abs' written in tiny letters in the bottom left corner.
"Why do you want to find him when he's gone now?" Pyrrha asked, confused.
He clearly broke the law." Weiss said, crossing her arms.
"Guys, I don't think we shouldn't argue…." Ruby began before she was cut off by her sister.
"Um, I think we should probably go..." Yang asked the others who were looking extremely uncomfortable with what was about to happen.
"Where are we going?" Penny asked happily, popping up next to Ruby.
"Nowhere, don't worry about it. If we're going to have this conversation, then we should have it in private rather than out in the open." Naruto said, turning towards Weiss and Blake who were giving slight glares at each other as they did as suggested and left the pier. He sensed someone nearby, but was pulled along by Ruby. A small shadow came out that had been watching them or more specifically Naruto with a small smile, but also was nervous.
"Is that you? Is it really you after all this time?" The figure asked as she walked out of the shadows to reveal a child who looked to be 4-5 years old. She had black feather-like hair, yet had a spikiness to it that was like Naruto's. She had blue eyes with a hint of red in them.
She'd learned about him from Ironwood and wanted to meet him after hearing so much about him and now she had her chance to be connected to him. She followed the group to get a chance to see him, but wasn't sure how to introduce herself to him or the others since they seemed close.
They made it back to Beacon when Naruto stopped walking having sensed someone following them and it confused him since this person had Chakra, but the only other person is Kuro and she's with them.
"Naruto, you coming?" Kuro called out to him.
"I'll be right behind you. Just need to check something out then I'll be in." Naruto said with them nodding albeit reluctantly and headed inside. "Okay, you can come out now." He said, when the little girl walked out who had a nervous smile on her face and was looking at the ground.
"H-hello." She said in a shy voice with Naruto not sensing any bad intentions coming from her along with the Biju.
"Oh she is just adorable, I wonder who she is and how she has Chakra?" Matatabi asked with curiosity while looking at the adorable child in front of them.
"Kit, you need to find out who she is. It shouldn't be possible for anyone else to have Chakra unless you give them pathways, but you haven't done that for anyone." Kurama said in a serious edge to his voice.
"Even so, she has no bad intentions towards us and she looks so cute. I wonder who she is though, curious?" Kokuo looked at the little girl with intrigue.
"I know guys, but I also sense nothing bad coming from her. She seems really nervous though for some reason. Keep your eyes open in case something happens." Naruto said with the Biju nodding ending the link as Naruto went back to the little girl in front of him.
"So kid, what's your name?" Naruto asked with a smile when the girl looked up seeing him smile, she gave him a small one.
"My name is Robin. It's nice to finally meet you after hearing so much about you from Uncle Iwonwood." The now named Robin said nervously which in his opinion was adorable, but with her foot rotating in a circle as she was looking at the ground was almost too much for him as it could be used as a weapon.
"It's nice to meet you too Robin, can you tell me why you've been following me and my friends?" Naruto asked, looking at her curiously while he got a good look at her, he noticed the similarities that she shared with him which made him feel uneasy for some reason. "Ironwood, what does he have to do with this?" He asked himself.
"Well why wouldn't I want to meet my daddy after hearing so much about him?" Robin asked while tilting her head to the side, making her look that much cuter while the female Biju were awwing at the adorable girl, when they're eyes widened to epic proportions when her words caught up with them.
"...Daddy?" Naruto asked with a feeling coming in his stomach while the Biju were narrowing their eyes at this information.
"Yeah, they told me that you were my daddy after I was made from yours and mommy's DNA." Robin said with a smile, not seeing his eyes changing to red slits. The Biju were now shouting and demanding that they kill the man for doing such a thing. It reminded them of Orochimaru too much to do something like that.
"I see." Naruto not knowing what else to say when he saw her shaking in her spot, not realizing she had put out some KI that was scaring her.
"You don't sound happy to see me, do you hate me?" Robin whimpered with tears in the edges of her eyes when she gasped, with her father pulling her into a hug. She looked up at him and saw he was smiling at wiped the tears that were on her cheeks.
"Of course I'm happy to meet you. Never think I hate you or anything like that. It's just a lot to take in knowing I'm a father now, that's all. Come on, I want you to meet some friends of mine." He held his hand out for her and she eagerly took it and could feel how strong his hands were, but there was something else that she was feeling not just from his hands, but from him in general. It was a warm feeling that made her feel safe. They walked through the school with many of the students looking at the duo wondering who the girl was while they looked at Naruto who was ignoring them. Robin however saw all the stares that were aimed at her and she moved closer to his side.
He felt her slide into him and looked down to see how frightened she was and put out some slight KI that backed everyone off from their staring. She looked at her dad in awe at what he did. He saw the look on her face and chuckled and decided to do something else. He stopped walking and looked at her for a moment before he picked her up ignoring her "eep" and put her on his broad shoulders where she looked down at him with confusion before she started giggling making him grin at her before he marched on towards his friends dorms where he could sense where they all were.
Back with the others they had gotten back to their dorms after leaving Naruto while Blake and Weiss continued their arguing over the White Fang with Weiss going so far as to tell about her the assassination attempts on her life by the group along with how her family members were being killed off by them. Blake felt sympathy towards her for it and cursed Sienna for it who she believed was the one behind it, but what she didn't know was that it wasn't her at all. She knew that the children weren't to blame for the ones in charge. Luckily things were getting better and after much talking too, Weiss blamed her father for how things had turned out with how he is when it came to treatment of the Faunus's. They agreed that they would need to make changes, Weiss for when she took over the company and Blake would change the White Fang to make things better, like how her father wanted it to be.
"Glad to see that they're no longer arguing, that was intense." Yang commented, much to the annoyances of Weiss and Blake.
"I know right, but with how heated things were getting, I was hoping some girl on girl action was going to take place." Kuro grinned perversely with some blood leaking her nose at the thought while everyone else was blushing and Yang much like Kuro had a nose bleed.
"Yang!" Ruby shouted as she pulled her hood up to hide the blush that was on her face.
"Damn it Yang!" Blake and Weiss glared at the blonde bombshell, but it didn't deter her in any way as she was still grinning.
"I need some fresh air and maybe some tea. I'll be back later." Blake said, walking out with the others telling her bye while Weiss again apologized for her harsh words.
"Your father sounds like a real bastard if you ask me." Kuro couldn't help, but say, getting a nod from Weiss, but shocked looks from Ruby and Pyrrha.
"Kuro, that's not nice." Pyrrha chastised, but it was rather weak since she agreed, but wouldn't put it so bluntly. Ruby meanwhile was still gaping at her words.
"She's right, he is one and I don't blame her for thinking that." Weiss responded with a uncaring wave of her hand.
"Thinking what?" They turned to see Naruto standing on the door entry with Robin sitting on his shoulder still.
They had passed by Blake who was trying to get out of there quickly and after some reassurances from her that she'd be fine and be back in a bit, he let her go and would explain to her about Robin.
"Oh Naruto you're back now!" Ruby yelled excitedly using her semblance to appear in front of him with a grin.
"Yep. Everyone, this is Robin, my recently discovered daughter." Naruto patted the girl's head with a smile, already expecting shit to hit the fan with the reactions.
"..."
".."
"."
"WHAT?!" They shouted at them when Robin hid her face behind his head with a whimper.
"Not so loud." Naruto hissed at them who blushed and apologized with sheepish expressions.
"But, where'd she come from? How old is she?" Kuro asked, keeping herself calm, knowing if she blew up, she'd scare the child and that was something she didn't want to do.
"From what she told me, she's from Atlas, she's 4 years old and she was created from DNA from me and someone else. That reminds me, do you know who your mother is?" Naruto asked Robin who squinted her eyes and tilted her head, nearly making every girl in the room squeal and glomp the girl. She looked so cute in that moment, and were restraining themselves knowing that she'd be scared.
"I do. Momma's name is Waven Bwanwen." Robin said.
"What did you say?" Yang asked with wide eyes. It couldn't be, could it?
"Waven Bwanwen is my Momma." Robin said again with a grin that resembled Naruto's and he laughed as he patter her head, getting a pleased smile.
"Raven Branwen... I can't believe it, wait does that make her my sister?" Yang couldn't believe what she had heard. Naruto thought about it before he nodded. She couldn't believe it, she had another sister... and fainted.
"Good job Robin, you're smart for your age, you know that?" Naruto asked, pride on his face and just brushed off Yang passing out, knowing that would happen.
"Are you sure it was Atlas?" Weiss asked, not wanting to believe that they'd do something like this.
"Uncle Iwonwood is the one who told me who my daddy and mommy were." Robin said, sealing what she was told in her mind.
"I can't believe it. I never thought they'd do something like this. Ironwood of all people too." Weiss said in horror.
"What's wrong Weiss?" Ruby asked her partner, not getting her dilemma.
"Ruby, Atlas or at least General Ironwood, created Robin using my blood and Raven blood without our consent. It's morally wrong as well as unethical to do something like this." Naruto explained while Robin looked down at the ground with a whimper, but was pulled in a hug to comfort her. She really was too smart for her age if she understood everything.
"But why would they do this?" Ruby asked, horror laced in her voice.
"I don't know, but I'm going to get some answers next time I see the good general." Naruto said, holding his anger in, not wanting to scare the child right now.
"Do you think Professor Ozpin is aware of this?" Pyrrha asked, getting looks from everyone.
"I'd like to think that he isn't, but I'm going to find out. For now though, we're going to get you settled in with me and Amber, okay Robin?" Naruto asked with a smile, who nodded eagerly as they all went to his dorm.
"So, you want to know more about me..." Blake said to Sun as the two of them sat in a small cafe in the middle of downtown Vale.
"Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you gave me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" Sun said ecstatically as Blake gave Sun a firm look. "Yeah, like that."
Blake rolled her eyes before closing them and looking at Sun sadly. "Sun... Are you familiar with the White Fang?"
"Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them." Sun said with a hint of anger laced in his tone. "Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks, if you ask me!"
Blake takes a sip of her drink while listening, sighing sorrowfully. "I was once a member of the White Fang."
Sun promptly goes cross-eyed and chokes on his drink, making him put it down and wipe his mouth as he holds up a hand to process this information, turning his head back to Blake. "Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!"
"That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it..." Blake began.
"Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus." Blake said, looking down at her cup gripping it slightly with both hands. "Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there."
Sun looked at her with surprise but kept silent as Blake continued her tale.
"I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist." Blake said with a downtrodden look as she remembered the stuff that happened. "Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect... out of fear."
Sun continues to stare at Blake in shock as she places her teacup back on the table.
"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow." Blake finished her ears twitching slightly.
"So... have you told your friends any of this?" Sun asked as Blake merely nodded, but said nothing at first.
"My boyfriend was the first one to figure it, but he didn't say anything. He wanted me to tell my team about my past on my own which I ended up doing and I felt relieved.
"Boyfriend?" Sun asked with a sad frown. "So, what's the plan now?" Sun asked, holding his hands behind his as he and Blake sat enjoying their drinks.
"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed this much Dust before." Blake said contemplating as suddenly two men stepped out from a Corridor of Shadows causing the two to go into defensive stances. "Who are you?"
"You want to know the truth?" The large pale man with lavender eyes stated his hood covering most of his face, but one of his eyes. "Then go to the docks where a Schnee Shipment is being held there you will find all your answers."
"What are you talking about?" Blake said, narrowing her eyes at the two.
"All will be answered at the docks." The shorter man said as the two disappeared without a trace.
"Well you are looking for a way to prove the White Fang aren't behind the Dust shop robberies." Sun said relaxing.
"But what if it is a trap?" Blake said unsure they should follow the lead they were just given. "Never mind, you are right this is the best way we can prove that the White Fang is not behind this and we can get some help too."
With that the 2 unlikely Duo ran off unknowingly that they had some eavesdroppers.
"And with this, we'll be able to find our target. He had his scent on the girl and she can lead us to him." The shorter man said with his pale eyes bulging, veins appeared around them. He had the Byakugan.
"And with this, we can get started getting the chakra back that Kaguya was supposed to get." The larger one said with the shorter one smirking.
Blake was laying flat on her stomach on the rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers. Following the Trap/Clue left by the mysterious individuals, she and Sun went back to the dorms to talk to Naruto and her friends to get their help. In the past she would've done this on her own, but she trusted her friends completely. Once she told them everything, they got their gear with Naruto bringing Kusanagi and the Gunbai/scythe since anything else would bring too much attention. Once ready, they went straight to the docks to get some answers to see what the White Fang were up to. Naruto, and Weiss were with Blake while Ruby, Pyrrha, Yang, Kuro, and somehow Penny had brought herself along to help were on another rooftop.
"Did I miss anything?" Sun asked Blake, coming up to her and the others.
"Not really. They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there." Blake answered looking up as Sun dropped down to her right.
"Cool." Sun replied, holding out a green apple that was in his arms. "I stole you some food!"
"Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?" Blake said, giving Sun a questioning look.
"Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?" Sun said defensively causing Blake to deliver an angry glare at him "Okay, too soon!"
"Way too soon man." Naruto gave him a deadpan stare as he gave them a sheepish smile.
Just then the winds blew all around them, and they looked up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo area and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of.
"Oh no..." Blake said, frowning.
"Is that them?" Sun asked, looking at the group as they exit the Bullhead.
"Yes... It's them." Blake said sadly, staring at the bloody wolf on the back of one of the men's outfits.
"Hey! What's the holdup!?" The new voice called out causing the soldiers to look up to see Roman Torchwick gesturing widely and coming down the ramp. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?"
"Oh hell no. Too bad I didn't bring Samehada, pretty sure he'd like to feed on Torchwick." Naruto said darkly when he called them "animals" knowing how insulting it was and reminded him too much of when he and his fellow jinchuriki's would be called demons or monsters. Blake saw the scowl on his face and grabbed his hand and gave him a comforting squeeze to calm him down.
"We are in a bit of a time crunch, and seeing that these animals don't know the meaning of stealth we need to get the ball rolling." Roman said with little patience.
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that." Blake said as she stands up and unsheathes Gambol Shroud before walking off the edge of the roof.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" Sun said in an alarmed tone as he watched Blake fall to the ground in a crouched position, then she continued on to hide behind one of the containers, peeking around the corner to see Roman berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope.
"Blake. What are you doing?" Naruto hissed at his girlfriend who gave him a look and he sighed before slowly nodding and dropped down close by behind another crate with Weiss following him. The others saw their actions and mimicked them.
"Naruto, I thought we were going to be observing them only?" Weiss whispered to him as they continued to watch.
"I know, but Blake won't be able to be talked out of doing something. Don't worry, she'll be alright." Naruto assured her as he gave her a reassuring smile that made her smile with a small pink hue appear on her cheeks.
"No, you idiot! This isn't a leash!" Roman said, as he's looking around, Blake suddenly appeared behind him with her blade at his throat "What the- Oh, for f-"
"Nobody move!" Blake called out as the White Fang soldiers ready their guns and equip their swords in response.
"Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady." Roman said, not even bothered by her threat in the slightest.
Blake began as the White Fang closes in on her, Blake uses her free hand to go for her bow and remove it, causing the ribbon to fall away as her Faunus ears are shown to the world. "Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?"
The White Fang members lower their weapons a little at this development, unsure of what to do, when Roman starts laughing.
"Oh, kid, didn't you get the memo?" Romans laughed out.
"What are you talking about?" Blake said tightening her hold on him.
"The White Fang and I are going on a joint business venture together!" Roman said, smirking.
"Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation." Blake threatened when suddenly, the air filled with more turbines blowing the wind wildly around the holdup.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..." Roman said looking up at the sight of two more Bullheads hovering above the heist, and as Blake looks on with horror, Roman smiles and tries to fire his cane at Blake's feet, but the blast is stopped by Naruto's gumbai before whispering something.
"Uzumaki Reflection." The blast was deflected at the gentleman thief in point blank range which exploded upon impact.
"Naruto." Blake said, tearing up.
"Hey Blake." Naruto said coming up to her. "Are you alright?"
"I should be asking you that, Idiot. You barely got the weapon up in time to send it back at him." Blake said with a smile but was interrupted by Roman appearing from the smoke.
"Well this is all touching kids, but I'm afraid we must cut this short!" Roman began as he and the White Fang pointed their weapons at them.
Naruto did two single hand seals with one hand when lightning gathered in his hand that was holding his scythe before it soon was enveloped in lightning itself. He slammed his scythe on the ground generating a electrical current that went out towards the members and shocked them until their aura's shattered and passed out, leaving just Roman and a few other members who managed to jump out of the way in time.
"Now it's just you few left. Why do you need so much dust, what do you have planned?" Naruto asked with a serious expression on his face as they walked towards the thief who looked a little nervous upon most of his grunts being knocked out, cursing their uselessness.
"I'm not afraid of you. My boss is scarier than anything you could do to me." Roman dismissed him with a wave of his hand.
"I don't know about that. I've known I could be quite... persuasive." Naruto said, but was forced to jump back when more members appeared along with a person who was leading them. "And who are you?" He asked when his eyes widened at what he was sensing from the guy. "This guy has Chakra!" He shouted mentally to himself.
I am Kinshiki Otsutsuki. On guard!" Kinshiki said, making Naruto's eyes widen further when he heard the last name.
"Otsutsuki, like Kaguya? What does he want and why is he in this world?!" Naruto questioned as other things were running through his head at what he could possibly want.
"Blake, go after Torchwick, this guy is mine!" Naruto shouted at her who nodded and ran past him.
Kinshiki activated some kind of powers and some trench knives. Naruto activated his sharingan and easily blocked every strike Kinshiki threw at him with his sword after he quickly sealed his scythe and gumbai away. The fight was fast paced and Naruto was perfectly fine with Kinshiki still trying to kill Naruto, but he was failing miserably. Kinshiki covered his body in purple electricity to attack Naruto who was momentarily caught off guard and kicked into a container. Naruto quickly recovered and covered his body in wind chakra that nullified the purple electricity.
Naruto decided to get a bit serious and Kinshiki was on the defense now. Naruto felt another chakra signature around as well, but didn't worry about it since whoever it was decided to not get involved. Naruto blocked a strike from Kinshiki and then used his sword to cut off the horn that was on Kinshiki's head. Naruto broke one of the trench knives Kinshiki created and then kicked him away after he marked him with an exploding seal. The seal exploded and Kinshiki was standing in the smoke with an angry look in his eye since that's all Naruto could see.
Kinshiki created a huge ax with his powers and then tried cutting off Naruto's head, but Naruto blocked it with his sword and then stabbed Kinshiki in the shoulder with a kunai that he didn't see before he pulled it out and cut his hand. Kinshiki was enraged at this point and upped his speed to appear above Naruto. He swung his ax at Naruto's head and at the last minute, Naruto switched with a statue that was destroyed. Before Kinshiki could react, Naruto coated his sword in wind chakra and sliced his arm off. That's when the other person decided to speak up.
"How careless, Kinshiki. Where is Kaguya Otsutsuki?" The person asked
"You mean you don't know? She no longer exists. Why do you want to know? Who are you?" Naruto said, while glaring at the two Otsutsuki clan members.
"You will tell us everything you know." The person said.
"Momoshiki-sama, I'm sorry." Kinshiki jumped next to him and kneeled down.
"No, I don't think I will be. I knew of your clan, but had hoped that I'd never see another one of you again." Naruto stated with Kuro appearing next to him with the rest helping Sun and Blake.
"Naruto, who are they?" Kuro asked her fiancé who wouldn't take her eyes off them.
"They're from Kaguya Otsutsuki's clan. If they're anything like her, then be on your guard." Naruto told her who nodded and would definitely need to be wary of them.
"Where is her chakra?" The shorter one asked with narrowing his eyes.
"..." Naruto didn't answer his question and moved at faster speeds and appeared in front of him and was about to stab him, but Kinshiki blocked his sword with his newly made weapon.
"Ahh I see, you have so much more chakra inside you and I can see it's inside you. Kinshiki, we're going." The shorter man said as the now named Kinshiki did as told and they vanished leaving two very worried Shinobi's with Naruto needing to look into this.
"Who were they?" Kuro asked, but her eyes widened when she got a good look at her fiance. He had several cuts on his body from Kinshiki's weapons, he had a large bruise on his chest from when he was kicked into the container. There wasn't anything too serious that would warrant worry, but she hadn't seen him with this many injuries since his fight against Madara and Kaguya.
"I'm not sure, but I'm going to be looking into this. They were clearly looking for Kaguya or at least the Chakra that made her and the Juubi up." Naruto said, earning a frown from the lava user.
"So there looking to take the Biju and their chakra, that's worrying considering we don't know anything about them." Kuro said.
"Yeah it is. I'll talk to Professor Ozpin about it and let him know what's going on." Naruto said, getting a nod from her.
"Let's go, the others should be done with Roman and the White Fang members." Kuro said with him nodding as they took off towards the others. When they did indeed find them, Roman was flying off in a bullhead along with a girl who was wearing pink and her hair was brown on one half and the other pink.
"Looks like he got away." Kuro said, getting their attention when he saw Robin was with them now which was odd because didn't he leave her with Amber to watch her? He would need to ask Amber about it. Robin saw him first and was on him instantly.
"Daddy!" Robin shouted in glee seeing he was alright and hugged his leg and looked up at him with tears in her eyes. He sighed with a smile and knelt down to eye level and hugged her to his chest while she cried into his chest while he gave her comforting words to calm her down. The girls all saw this and were cooing at the adorable moment watching a father comfort his daughter.
"Glad that you both are okay, but what happened?" Weiss asked with concern seeing his body had various cuts on it. Blake, Ruby, and the others were on him, checking him over while Robin just continued to hold him.
"Something that needs Professor Ozpin's attention. Let's just say that more problems are coming in the future and not just with them, but whatever Roman and the White Fang are planning isn't something good." Kuro answered for him, who was still consoling the 4 year old.
"That girl was annoying to fight. I couldn't hit her no matter what I did." Yang gritted her teeth in annoyance.
"Guess that means we'll have to up your training. I'm increasing everyone's training with what's happening is making me nervous and I'm going to be getting to the bottom of it." Naruto said seriously, getting nervous looks from everyone knowing how tough he is when training them. He doesn't pull any punches or hold back on them.
"But before that, we need to get you checked out." Blake told him. Naruto opened his mouth to argue, but she gave him a glare that shut his mouth when the others were also giving him looks.
"Let's go, I'm tired and want some sleep." Yang said with everyone nodding when Ruby looked around and noticed that Penny was no longer with them.
"Hey where's Penny?" Ruby asked, looking around for her friend with the others also wondering where she went.
A darkened back seat of a limo, Penny watches the group of friends reuniting with each other.
"You should know better than to go running around in a strange city."
"I know, sir." Penny said, lowering her head, sadly.
"Penny, your time will come..." The Driver stated as the car pulled away from the scene.
Roman walked into a large warehouse with all the light dimmed as he went over to a table and placed down a case of mysterious contents, then sighed in complete exhaustion.
"How very disappointing, Roman." A voice called out suddenly causing Roman to turn around suddenly where the voice came from.
"Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting to see you guys so soon..." Roman said nervously as Cinder walked in to the room with two unknown figures walking behind her
"We were expecting... more from you." Cinder said walking past Roman her finger gliding under the thief's chin
"Hey! You were the ones who suggested working with those stupid mutts from the White Fang. That guy showed up too and nearly had me killed." Roman laughed out a little before getting serious.
"Really, he was there? Hmmm, interesting. And you will continue to work with them for the time being." Cinder said, chuckling darkly as she summons a fireball in her hand and steps out of the darkness with her two companions, a gray-haired man and mint-haired, tanned woman. "We have big plans for you, Roman. All we ask is... a little cooperation." The leader of the group said with an alluring voice.
On top of the building Kinshiki and Momoshiki were discussing about what to do from here, now that they had found their target, but it wouldn't be easy to get to him. Momoshiki had an evil grin on his face not worried about him fully confident that he'd get what he wanted.
Naruto had given his report to Ozpin and the incoming threat that that Otsutsuki clan presented and told him that he would be gone from time to time to investigate them and try to look for answers. Ozpin agreed, knowing that if someone could hurt Naruto like they had, then this would need to be looked into and Naruto was the person for the job. Ruby then took over and told him about the shipment that was being robbed by Torchwick and the White Fang. After learning all of this, he dismissed the students and would now have a lot to think about how to go about this from now on. Naruto had asked Ozpin if he had anything to do with Robin and how she was born. He was glad that the gray haired headmaster denied his involvement and was just as surprised as he was learning about her existence. He would have to speak with James at a later date about her.
Naruto and company had made it back to their dorms and when Robin asked where she would be staying, he told her that she was staying with him which got a happy squeal from her and hugged his leg and grinned at him, reminding him of a fox.
"With things changing now, I think our dates need to happen sooner since we're going to be pretty busy from now on. I know it won't be the same, but are you girls okay with taking my clones?" Naruto asked Yang, Pyrrha, and Ruby while Weiss had smug smirk on her face. She was going to be getting her date with the real Naruto and was actually really excited for it.
"Yeah I guess so." Ruby muttered with a small pout.
"Hey, I know it's not ideal, but the clones are still me, so it won't be too bad. I'm sorry about doing it like this though." Naruto apologized to them, but was met with smiles from them.
"We understand, Naruto. It'll still be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to our date." Pyrrha gave him a soft smile that he returned and hugged each girl making them blush with Kuro smirking in an amused way.
"And as for you Weiss, we'll have our date in two days since me and Winter have ours tomorrow before she heads back to Atlas." Naruto said as Weiss nodded with a small smile.
"I know Naruto and I'm looking forward to it myself. I won't be easily won over though, so do try to impress me." Weiss said in a haughty manner, making him smirk at the challenge.
He suddenly was in front of her and caressing her cheek, making her blush at the action. "Trust me my dear, I'll do more than impress you." He smirked as he kissed her cheek before leaving in a leaf shunsin with a flustered Weiss and snickering Yang and Kuro while Ruby and Pyrrha pouted at wanting to be intimate like that.
Weiss was able to snap out of it and glared at his previous spot.
"Oh, he's going to get it when I get my hands on him." Weiss narrowed her eyes while still having her cheeks red which did nothing to make her threat be taken seriously.
