Disclaimer- I do not own Harry Potter or Inuyasha nor do I make any profit off of either one of them.

A.N- This is kind of a little choppy at this point. As I had the work on in small points of breaks, I have during work and everything else I have been doing. Seeing as I am now working at a new job. And it has been hectic. So, I am most likely going to have to take this down at a later point and work on it some more. But for now, here is the newest chapter. Hope you like it and please review.

Chapter four

Harry was sitting on a branch of a tree, rather high up, not only enjoying the moment of peace he was getting but also thinking rather deeply. While at the same time staying aware enough that if he was attacked that he would be prepared for it. As he had long since learned that that could very easily happen at any time and that was something he had learned before he had gone through the portal he had.

Which if he was honest with himself was the main thing that was currently on his mind at the moment. Or really the results that had happened to him due to going through the portal in the first place. As it had been a couple of years since he had ended up where he currently was. A good ten years in fact since Harry ended up here, after escaping after that ritual Voldemort had set up and the utter hell that followed quickly after said escape.

Though in the end, as he thought back on it all, Harry felt that what he had gotten out of it had been well worth it. That despite how bad things had gotten for him before it all he ended up getting the better deal in the end.

After all, not only had he managed to find out just about everything that had happened to him due to the ritual he had been forced to undergo. But had also been able to figure out a good deal of what the wild magic that had been thrown around soon after had done to him.

And yes, there had been a good amount of trial and error when it came to finding out this information in question, yet in the end he had gotten the answers he had wanted. And while it might not have been exactly everything that had happened it had been a whole hell of a lot more than he would have been able to find out if he had stayed where he had been before. Not to mention that so far what he hadn't found out didn't seem to be exactly horrible enough that it should affect him negatively in any way to not know what it was in the first place. And considering the time that had passed since it had happened, and how little it seemed to have affected him, he figured that for now it was safe enough to not worry about it completely. At least not when compared to the answers that he had received anyway.

Not only that, but best yet during all of this he had been given a gift from magic itself or that it is what seemed like to Harry. One that Harry had always wanted and never seemed to be able to get despite how hard he tried otherwise. And that was a family to call his own.

Sure, it was an odd as hell one, and one that he had never really pictured for himself when he considered just what his family, future or otherwise, could have or would have been like. However, it was a family he now loved deeply, nonetheless. And one Harry truly believed felt the same way about him.

Which considering the fact that when it came to the family in question no one would honestly think they would get along let along care for each other as deeply as their family currently does. So yes, his family was an odd one, but it was his and despite the looks it gained as well as the remarks some people would let out Harry wouldn't change it for the world.

What with the fact that the mother was the wife of a former Monk with both the patience of a saint along with a temper that when it was finally sparked could rival the hottest of fires. The former monk in question, though now deceased, being a loving father who had been a powerful Monk when he had been working as one. Albeit a highly perverted one who seemed to know just how to set off his wife's temper when nothing else seemed to. A Monk who had very sadly just recently fallen to a very odd but deadly curse on his left hand.

Not to mention there was also the slightly younger brother Harry now had. A younger brother who was called Miruku. Who was a monk, showing all the signs of being just as skilled, as well as perverted, as his father had been. Maybe even worse as not even their mother had been able to curve some of his antics. Hell, it was often left up to Harry to do so now that they were out on their own. Or at least would once more be going out on their own considering at the moment they had been fisting their mothers for a brief break in the current travels.

Something the two were currently traveling due to the fact that, much to Harry's displeasure, his brother now had the same curse that had taken their father from them in his own left hand.

A curse that even with all the skills he now had, both with his dragon abilities as well as all the magic he now knew, Harry couldn't break it. As during all his attempts otherwise, he found out only the death of the caster could break said curse. All he could do was slow it down to a degree.

That or, if he was beside him, guild said curse so it wouldn't be as damaging as it would have otherwise. Something both Harry as well as Miruku had been grateful for when it came to learning to control the curse to a degree; or at least gain as much control as his brother could over it. Something that loath as he admit it the rosemary beads made with his fallen teeth seemed to help more than anything else they could have done.

Then there was Harry himself, he was a dragon demon, and as he found out he was a Storm Dragon demon. A rather high class and powerful one at that. Even if it did take years to gain control over the skills he now had. And that was only after he spent a good year or two to find out just what he as to begin with.

Not to mention all the work he had to put in to regain control over the skills he had had before. Seeing as with the major power boost he had gained has shot any control he had before to hell and back.

Leaving things often exploding on him than doing what he had wanted. Something that had Harry nearly rage quitting several times in the past and end the end had Harry learning to control his emotions more than he ever had been able to before.

Not to mention actually finally learning just what Snape had meant when he had been shouting at him to clear his mind all those years ago. Which oddly enough his adopted father ended up teaching him in a far better manner than his old much loathed potion professor ever had been able to before.

Though Harry did find himself grateful for the fact that he did go over his skills once more to relearn them. As in the end he find out quite a bit of things he had missed or if not that overlooked the first time he had been training. Not to mention finding all new applications for several of them.

Not only that but going back to relearn what most considered the basics really helped him push the skills he did now have further along and gave him all new idea on what he could do with his powers now that he was no longer held back in fear of how others would react to what he could do.

Which considering the fact he was pretty sure now that he had been under several different potions at the time, still struggling under the effects of the abuse he had suffered during his first childhood and being trained into becoming a moldable controllable weapons Harry figured it was a given that he did miss a good amount of the things he could have learned the first time around.

One of the first things he had found about his magic, as well as one of the most often used bits of magic he had, was the limited amount of skills he found he had in the Black family metamorphic ability. As with it he could make himself look like something closer to a hanyou than a full demon.

Which really was only getting rid of the green mark on his forehead, hiding his wings completely and making his horns look a lot smaller than they were. Then there was just rounding out his ears a bit.

In fact, the only thing that let others know he really wasn't human was the fact he did have those small horns as well as the black around the brilliant green iris he still had. Which Harry didn't bother to get rid of as he didn't want to risk messing with his eyes in any way. Not considering now he could see a lot clearer than he ever did before and he didn't want to go back to the very blurry without his glasses vision he had had before. Something he feared he would risk if he did try to change anything with his eyes in the first place.

This almost human appearance was something that proved to be rather helpful on the travels he had started to go on. As while it did get him distrustful looks, as well as him being looked at with disgust at times, it was still a bit better than the outright terrified looks he had gotten before. When he had gone out in his full demon form, wings out and everything. Something that even when he had looked a lot younger than he was often more than not had people lashing out to attack him or literally running away from him in pure terror.

Currently, at the very least, especially when his brother was with him, he now didn't constantly get the feeling he was one small action from having a mob form against him. Something that yes, he could fight and escape from didn't mean he wanted to face something like that in the first place; not if he could help it.

As even with his more demon like instincts, not to mention the time he was currently living in, Harry wasn't too keen on having to kill others if he had a choice otherwise. Yes, he would if he had too, most certainly to protect those he cared for, but at the same time he was still more firmly a protector than anything else.

This almost human look was also helped a bit by the fact that Harry had found out that while he had been aged down before, he, at least, aged up like he normally would have. At least he did until he was a teenager; or at least an older teenager.

Something that Harry found was rather common in hanyous as while that had longer life than humans, they did age normally when they were younger up until they reached what could be considered an age old enough to safely defend themselves. Or if not that old enough for their body to handle their more demonic powers safer than they would have been otherwise.

Currently Harry looked around maybe seventeen or so. Something Harry was thankful for as he didn't want to think of what would have happened if his ageing had slowed down when he appeared thirteen or worse even younger than that.

Though it wasn't exactly perfect either in Harry mind either, at least looking permanently seventeen for a while, considering the fact that Miruku often got a good laugh out the fact he as now automatically assumed to be the older one when they were out. Often times with he added comment of him being able to control his younger brother at that.

What considering his younger brother now looked to be at least year older than Harry himself did. And that was even with the fact that as a Monk, with purification powers at his disposal, Miruku did age slower than a normal human would.

Something that Harry hoped would continue for a while yet, considering that his brother did have a good amount of power inside him. More so than normal as Harry had been around while he was growing up. And in doing so his magic, both demonic or otherwise seemed to push Miruku's own powers grow more on the owns as well.

Kind of like his own powers where either drawing out Miruku's or if not, that forcing them to grow stronger to try and further protect Miruku from him. Harry would prefer it if it was the first one but at the same time knew that honestly, considering they were supposed to be opposites in the spectrum of powers, it was probably the lateral. And no matter how he thought about it that was the closed comparison Harry could think of.

Not that Harry would do anything to be considered a threat to his brother considering Harry did honestly see him and their mother as the family he always wished to have. And had even told them both about his past, at least to a degree, and taught Miruku what he could with his older magic. Seeing as he had found out that Miruku could mimic some of the magic in question.

Though how much they both weren't too sure of and knew they needed to further explore as they had found out that several spells would work they were supposed to, sometime even more powerful than they would originally, while others wouldn't work at all; often times suppering out or giving no reaction at all when Miruku tired them.

And so far, there really seemed to be no rhyme or reason when it came to which spell did what. Though they did seem to work better when Miruku used his staff to direct them than anything else Harry had attempted with his brother.

Which led to where Harry was now, watching as his brother Miruku, who was currently saying goodbye to their mother. Someone who Harry had been able to save from a rather bad sickness a couple of years back that would have killed her otherwise due to the potion knowledge he had and had managed to make useable with the supplies he had in the area.

Even if as, he found out, through trail effort, that it didn't work with all potions. As a good deal of potions still used supplies Harry didn't have or at the very least hadn't found the right thing needed to replace it yet to be able to make them.

But still potions for colds, sickness and those similar to it Harry had managed to make and had even taught both Miruku and their mother to make them. Though to his frustration Miruku's potions, or at least the ones that dealt with either healing or cleaning seemed to be a lot stronger than his. Something Harry was sure was due to the purification powers Miruku had, something his brother even agreed with him about. Even as he, in the spirit of brotherhood, did lord the fact over Harry.

Not that these potions abilities were helping Miruku much at the moment considering the fact that his brother had been putting off this goodbye for the last couple of days. Considering it had been over a week ago since they had bother decided to go in search of Naraku once more.

Mostly so they could break the curse once and for all. As after all losing their father to said curse and seeing their mother's health decline as much as it had because of the utter worry she felt for her youngest, who now bore the curse in question they knew they really had to do something about it. That they really couldn't wait any longer before setting out.

No, they couldn't let that curse go on any further, not if they could help it. Plus, it did help that there seemed to be some mentioning of Naraku nearby. Or at least more mentioning that there had been for several years now. So, hopeful they would be able to find him soon.

Harry was knocked out of his thoughts and the, what he now knew was a growing bloodlust, for those that had hurt what his dragon side called his nestmates as Harry heard his mother call out.

"Harry, make sure your brother doesn't behave too much like his father. I love that boy, by Kami I do. And honestly, I don't mind a little bit of flirting here and there but please get him to stop asking every pretty lady he comes across to bear his child. That's a little too much. Oh, and make sure you both stay clean and watch each other's back. Your brothers, blood or not, and I expect you to act like it."

Hearing this Harry gave a slight grin especially when he could hear the groan Miruku let loose at the teasing his mother was giving him. Obviously heckling him a bit for his late goodbye.

Considering the fact she had known they were going to leave as soon as it had been decided. As Harry had told her right away, what could he say, he had become a bit of a momma's boy, and would most likely always be one too. How could he not when she was the one to save him and ended up giving him what he had wanted all along; a family who loved him just as much as he loved them.

Really thinking about this, and how much better things had been for him since he had gone through the portal in the first place. And this was despite some rather bad setbacks as well as losing his father-like figure through what was basically murder once more. Had him actually willing to hope again and heal from all the hurt he had been through before.

As Harry was happy with things were going for him now and very much willing to fight for everything that he had now; very much will to kill to keep it if he had to. Something that he knew was the same for his brother.

And this was despite how everything had been set against him before and much he hadn't been willing to do the same before. Though it did have him wondering how a few certain power hunger traitors were now doing; if only briefly.

For that matter really just wondering what that last blast of magic he had sent out had done to them besides knocking them out as he just felt it did more than that. A thought that had crossed his mind several times before in the past and one he never really got an answer to either. If only for a couple of seconds before deciding that they really weren't worth the effort to think about. At least not currently.

Though Harry didn't voice this thought aloud, not that he ever had before, nor did he have time to think about it long either. As just as he thought of this there was an almost pink explosion in the sky and what looked like small shooting stars flying off in multiple different directions not far from here.

Seeing this, something in Harry told him that something incredibly big had just happened. Something that was going to play a large part in both his, as well as his brother's life in the near future. A feeling that Mirku seemed to feel as well if the slightly wide eyes look his brother was now sporting said anything. And without a word needed between the two of them the both of them turned from the direction they had been heading in and instead started going closer to the direction the sky show had come from.
