Authors note: I apologize to everyone who enjoyed what I managed to get out of Kobold Queen, it was something that I had the idea of and got burnt out way too soon.

I'm not in a good place most of the time so I don't want to get any one's hopes up with this new story so I will try to hold off on doing much until I have a few chapters done. A lot of what kept me going was random new Kobolds being added but I hope this will be able to be a story that I explore deeply if not possibly finish.

A short summary is that Taylor's power is summoning insects from fiction. I know it will be a bit crazy on power scales since things like the Zerg, Tyranids, or even just Terminids exist and I am just rolling for every possible type or named insect.

Anyways I hope you all enjoy this new monstrosity!

Taylor Hebert:

The last thing she remembered was being in the locker, feeling the insects overwhelming her body even as she still desperately tried to call for help or rattle her prison with what little strength remained.

Then an awareness of too many eyes, too many voices, all alien and completely overwhelming to her as she felt her mind slipping and more and more voices or really sounds to her echoed through her being.

?????:

It didn't know what happened, why it was alone. What limited memory it could draw on told it that no Kirko should be alone. It knew what this place was though, a construct of HUMANS. Something to be reviled for what they did to the Kirko, even if the reasons why were not complete yet in its mind.

How it arrived quickly lost any concern as it heard the most wondrous sound through its alien mind. The song of the Queen, faint memories from other Kirko confirmed the melody to it even if it was faint.

With desperate vigor it began to tear apart the metal human cage that had imprisoned the Queen. She looked odd, very human like. But that didn't matter, she was the lost Queen now returned.

It's eyes scanned the Queens form, covered in filth and damaged. UNACCEPTABLE. It used its frontal limbs to gently lift the Queen atop its Manta Ray like back and swiftly departed from the human dwelling.

Upon leaving horror filled it as it saw a human hive before it. One of the filthiest and decaying perhaps but still a place humans would dwell.

Calling upon the ancestral memories it knew that humans would be alarmed by rogue Kirko, they may attack, it also knew that most human dwellings had connections to underground water sources.

Gently placing the Queen to the earth the Abyssian used it's great tunneling claws to burrow through the ground until it struck on of these connections, a metal pipe.

Excavating enough space to bring the Queen to it was a simple task, the foolish humans didn't hide the pipe very far underground. Ripping the pipe open it watches as the Queen was drenched in water and most of the filth removed.

It hoped that her Kirko body would recover soon so they could flee. It couldn't help but seem gleeful as it felt the connection start to grow stronger and the Queen opened her eyes. She mumbled nearly silent in the human language before her eyes closed again.

Feeling her song surge the Kirko regarded the new hive member that appeared before the two. While it might appear similar at first glance it was not Kirko, the four legged being held a humanoid torso and no eyes along with forward facing horns along the side of its head like a beetle but held a human like mouth. It hefted its axe for a moment before it spoke a single word.

"Shit."

Strikes Far:

Strikes Far had worked for many factions before, Vaulters, Wild Walkers, even Broken Lords. Any who could feed his need for Dust that kept his mind together in truth.

Nothing could have prepared him for his new patron, a human that constantly fueled his need for Dust, allowing his mind to be his own without the baser urges of his kin.

The curious creature guarding her was oddly shaped, clearly not one of his kin but guarding his patron like a well trained dog. Some intelligence was clearly in those eyes but how much was always up for debate with some creatures.

Eyeing the state of the drenched human he muttered a familiar curse from its time among the Vaulters. "Shit."

His patron was wounded, the beast having tried to get her clean but he knew all too well what disease and infection did to humans. Looking up to the sky it was clear this day cycle had recently ended.

He eyed the strange creature once more before he spoke. "She needs a healer, and soon or she will perish." He said with resolve, the being looked curious but conflicted as it stood over her. "We don't have time for this, you clearly can't speak. I have been among humans before and while they don't like us we can either get them to heal her with words or force." He said firmly.

The creature looked at him for a long moment before bobbing its head. "Good, now you don't have hands and I do. Follow behind me and make sure no one attacks our rear." He ordered as he placed his iron axe into its holster and carefully lifting the human so blessed with Dust that even being near her reinvigorated him.

Now came the challenging part, finding a human to speak to that wouldn't scream and runaway.

At the end here I intend to include descriptions and links to info about the summoned creatures if needed. Two species that are wildly different in both worlds and yet the fantasy bug is the smart one.
