A/N: Here's a gift of another one of this one. I kind of jumped ahead on it because I already know the end game of this one but I'm far enough through that I can work on my others. I don't want to disappoint my loyal readers. Thank you for sticking with me and my zany ideas and kooky brain.

Shifting on the couch Pacey sighed it was a good thing he wasn't the driver because with his lack of sleep he'd kill them all.
Whimpering he lifted up; it was seven a.m. and everyone else was going to be getting up soon and he wasn't going to leave himself in an awkward dance with Joey. Getting up he moved to his duffel. He was in the middle of packing his bag when Aunt Gwen came out and started breakfast, she didn't try to speak with him making him wonder if she hated him.
Andie, Dawson, and Will came out and an hour later as Gwen announced breakfast, but he couldn't care less. Pulling on his sunglasses he headed for the door, he wasn't going to stay and wait, not when being in close proximity to Joey made his heart break all over again.
So, when Andie came up to him asking if he was eating breakfast, he shook his head, keeping his eyes diverted. "I'm not hungry." He didn't wait for a response stepping back out into the wilderness that witnessed his heart break.

Joey stared at the empty spot in the bed next to her. She figured after some time to himself that Pacey would come to bed but feeling the sheets they were cool to the touch which made her wonder where he slept…if he slept at all.
Dressing quickly, she made her way down the stairs, her heart plummeting, finding Pacey nowhere in sight, his bag already packed waiting by the door. Joey tried to maintain her composure as she filled her plate with pancakes and eggs, but her heart was screaming at her for hurting Pacey so much. She waited some time trying to act nonchalant as she asked. "Where's Pacey?"
"He said he wasn't hungry and that he was going for a walk." Will said, his eyes holding hers critically making her wonder if Pacey told him anything.
"He better be back before we leave or he's gonna find his own way home." Dawson complained while Joey looked at her friend in disgust while Andie shook her head.
"Be nice Dawson."
Dawson just rolled his eyes diving back into his breakfast.
The day passed relatively quickly, and it wasn't until just before they were set to leave when Pacey returned, his eyes on the floor, not even trying to talk to anyone.
Pacey waited until Joey sat herself in the shot gun seat next to Dawson before he took his seat at the opposite end of the car, his eyes positioned exclusively out the window.
The four hour drive it took to get back was in silence at least on Pacey's end. Andie and Will seemed to be in a comfortable, almost intimate conversation while Dawson and Joey would share intermittent conversation.
As soon as they pulled into Dawson's driveway Pacey muttered a quick 'Thanks D." before grabbing his bag and hustling toward Doug's house. Will, after exchanging numbers with Andie, followed suit.
Joey watched saddened as Pacey continued down the street, barely acknowledging his friend as they walked toward Doug's.
"I wonder what had Pacey down, I haven't seen him that quiet since things ended with Andie." Dawson said off handedly pulling his bags from the trunk, not noticing the painful look that took over Joey's face at his words.
"I don't know."
