26th of Tarsakh:
We received a hero's welcome from the dwarves at Carnath Roadhouse when we arrived! They were so relieved to see us since were gone much longer than anyone had expected. They were also pleased to see Swift had returned with us.
The owners and many of the roadhouse patrons had so many questions for us.
"What happened?"
"What did you find?"
"Why were you gone for so long?"
"Where did you go?"
We told them about our encounter with the skeletal alchemists in Iniarv's Tower. And our harrowing trip through the Kryptgarden forest, harried and driven by the undead, to Eldora's cave. We told them about the fight with the shadows and how Eldora just disappeared. Everyone in the bar was captivated by our story.
This led to more questions.
"How will you find her?"
"What will you do next?"
"Did she leave behind any clues?"
We did our best to answer their questions.
We showed them one of the pamphlets we found. The owner told us that a couple had stayed the night just over a month ago and left several of the pamphlets behind. They had tossed them in the fire because they keep a neutral position on all things religious and political.
When the owner handed me back the pamphlet, I told him we expected to find her at one of the churches. Then we shared our plan to return to Thornhold to find maps of the area surrounding the Kryptgarden forest. The church closest to it has to be Eldora's.
When I asked if there had been any more undead attacks. They told us, there's been no undead activity in the surrounding areas for the past six days. Which is when we met with Eldora. She must have pulled her demons out of the area, knowing we would destroy them. Just like the shadows in the cave.
Everyone congratulated us for ridding the area of those monstrosities! And the dwarves treated us to dinner and our stay on the house for our heroics. They even gave us their "best rooms". They are still some of the worst beds I've ever slept in, but they beat sleeping on the ground hands down.

I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter. I feel like something is needed between the last chapter and the next, to kind of set it up. And I wanted to have Zira and her companions tell their tale for the first time and show that people are starting to take notice of them. But I didn't want to rewrite the past few chapters into a narrative, so this is what I ended up with.
