Aquaman

Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic people - and then the surface world. Standing in his way is Aquaman, Orm's half-human, half-Atlantean brother who must defeat Orm and save both the land and the sea.

1. Chapter 1

Ch 1

On a stormy night in Amnesty Bay, Maine, Tom Curry was outside when he suddenly met a woman in silver armor.

He took her in, then waited until she woke up.

She then hurled her trident and the TV exploded as it pierced it but she fell down, exhausted.

"Easy." Tom said as he helped her up. "You weren't breathing. So uh, who are you?"

"Atlanna." the woman said. "Queen of Atlantis."

"Wow." Tom said in suprise. "I'm Tom. Keeper of the lighthouse."

Over the next few months, Tom and Atlanna fell in love, then they had a kid named Arthur and Atlanna was telling him the story of Atlantis' fall one day.

"And the trident could only be wielded by the strongest Atlantean. And it gave King Atlan mastery over the seven seas. It made him so powerful that the ocean itself became jealous and sent a terrible earthquake to destroy Atlantis. Down it fell, to the bottom of the ocean. But, legend has it that one day a new king will come who will use the power of the trident to put Atlantis back together again."

Right when the story was over, the wall exploded and three white armored Atlantean soldiers came in.

"By the authority of King Orvax, you are ordered to return to Atlantis." one said.

Then Atlanna locked eyes with Tom and sent the nearest soldier flying into the wall with a spinning kick.

The others fired but Atlanna grabbed one and shoved him into the ceiling to knock him out, then she grabbed her trident and hurled it at the last soldier, spearing him against the wall in a shower of sparks.

After the attack, Atlanna was going to return to Atlantis and she knew that next time Atlantis would invade the surface world just to get her back.

She had to go to protect Tom and Arthur.

You don't have to do this, Atlanna. Please."

"No. They will always find me. Next time, they'll send an army. I have to go back. It is the only way to save him. Save you. Where I come from, the sea carries our tears away. Not here. I will return to you. When it's safe. One day. Right here, at sunrise. We'll be together again."

Then Atlanna and Tom had their last hug for a long time before Atlanna went to Arthur and brushed his hair. "You stay strong, my little prince."

Before Atlanna left, she looked back at Tom one last time.

"I'll always be with you." Tom said.

"Don't let him forget me." Atlanna replied.

Then she went off and dove into the sea.

It was the hardest thing she had ever done.

One day, she would come back.
