Guess you weren't expecting this one, readers. But I honestly have loved Bakugan since it came out years ago. And personally, season 2 and 3 were my favorite arcs of the story. Way back then, I thought up little stories here and there, and it has taken time. Especially since I had to create an OC Bakugan character.

Speaking of, the oc Bakugan I created is called Darkus Desteen, she is the guardian of the Doom Dimension, and the original Bakugan who could send Bakugan to the Doom Dimension long before Masquerade exploited that ability with an ability card. Desteen is a Bakugan somewhat like Naga and Wavern, in a sense she lives outside of the normal lives of Bakugan. Her role is important though, as she brings passed on Bakugan to the Doom Dimension to determine who stays in this dimension for eternity. She is able to travel between the Doom Dimension, New Vestroia and Earth via mirrors. Desteen's appearance is based on a serpent with large, feathered wings with a long, sharp blade at the tip of the wings. She has a silver crown in the shape of the Darkus attribute on her head with long, curved horns either side. And down both sides of her neck are eight round, bulb markings in the colour of each attribute, with the first bulbs below her cheek are rainbow, and seem to shift like an aurora in the sky. Her eyes are a bright pink with gold iris, her scales from the middle of her back down to her tail are black, while her wings and stomach are dark pink. As for her sphere form…I guess she kind of looks like Drago or Dharak, but it's a little hard to describe.

Anyways, the story goes that my OC character and Bakugan both were present during the first season. Desteen never evolved like the other Bakugan did. And this story takes place midway through the 2nd season, and move into the third season. And it's loosely based on the technology seen in the third season used by Gundalia and Neathia to transport people to and from Earth with some form of beaming technology.

And this will be a mature story, due to the fact there will be violence, blood, sex scenes, smut scenes, innuendo, assault and so on. I hope you will enjoy.

Sitting in a large room with battle plans sprawled across the table, a humanoid rubbed his chin while narrowing his eyes. His green eyes gaze over his plans to attack the neighboring planet of Neathia to take what he believed to be rightfully his. The power to control all Bakugan was a desire that has been engrained in his being for years. And when his father passed, he was thrilled to finally put his plan into action. He started by enforcing all of his soldiers to start training with their Bakugan. And he eventually chose five of the best to reside in the palace to be given direct orders.

He is Emperor Barodius, the emperor of Gundalia. He has been an emperor for several years now, and he has been making careful plans to attack Neathia. The Sacred Orb has been on his mind for years, and the desire to obtain never went away. He only had to wait for his father to pass before he could take the throne for himself. And he was pleased when the day finally came, as he saw his father as nothing but a fool.

Barodius did know that Neathia had shields to protect it's people from attack when the time did come. And Barodius also knew they would benefit greatly from having reinforcements of extremely powerful Bakugan on their side. There was a Bakugan he did wish that he had contact with, and that was the guardian of the Doom Dimension, the afterlife of Bakugan. That Bakugan was powerful, and he could see it part of their ranks.

Barodius heard a tap on the table as his Bakugan's sphere form jumped on the table and opened to look at him. "Master, we have been mulling over these plans for years. Why is it that we have to even wait until our people are good enough to fight for what is ours? We are better warriors than Neathians, we can crush them!"

"Patience, Dharak!" Barodius hissed in irritation at the black Bakugan with a dragon shape, green coloration on the wings, underbelly and tail, and golden horns and red eyes. "We can't just attack Neathia blindly without a plan. It needs to be flawless if we are to having any hope of breaking through those barriers to find the Element, and the way to the Sacred Orb."

Dharak growled and turned to look at the plans. "But you have been planning since you were young, master. I understand plans take time, but we have had years. When exactly do you plan on launching the first assault? It feels like we will be waiting years!"

"It will be very soon, Dharak. The ships are almost completed, and ready to launch. I intend to extend my hand to the queen, under the pretence of meeting with her." Barodius let out a low chuckle of amusement. "And if we succeed, getting close enough to get rid of her will be no trouble at all. Then getting what we want will be no trouble."

"And it does not concern you that we have Neathians visit from time to time for those meetings you like to have with them? They aren't fools, master." Dharak was concerned that things wouldn't go as planned. "I think that they could suspect something. And now you are hoping to find the guardian of the Doom Dimension to join us in this conquest, I am not sure if things will go the way you want them to, master."

Barodius grits his teeth lightly and looked at Dharak with a glare. "I don't believe that we will find the guardian of the Doom Dimension before we attack Neathia, Dharak. In fact, I would be surprised if we found it at all. But I believe we will be able to attack within the coming weeks."

Dharak seemed to relax, as he had genuinely been concerned that Barodius would make them wait until they had an answer on the Doom Dimension guardian. But now he knew when the plan would be enacted, Dharak was happy to hear that. "Now that is music to my ears, master. We will have zero issue crushing the Neathians with our very might! I am looking forward to it."

Barodius grinned as he nodded in agreement. "I too am looking forward to it, Dharak. We will definitely win this war, and the ultimate power will be in our hands." He chuckled coldly at the deviousness of his plan. "However…." He looked down at his plans again, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "We still could use additional firepower."

"I agree. The more power we have, the closer we get to what we want." Dharak though did not know what exactly Barodius had in mind. "But how are we even going to get more troops? You can't exactly force all the young Gundalians to suddenly have a growth spurt, and be ready for battle in a few weeks, master. What exactly are you thinking?"

As Barodius was about to respond to the Bakugan, he heard a knock on his door. Barodius was a little irritated, but curious as to who it could be. "Come in!" He turned his seat around as the door opened, and he saw his oldest advisor who also served his father. A bold Gundalian with an orange beard walked in wearing his purple robe with subterra colour and pattern to show his specialty in battle. "Nurzak, I was not expecting your presence. I assume that you have some important information for me that you had to come here unannounced."

"I do apologize if I had interrupted you, sire." Nurzak bowed respectfully to the emperor. "You asked me to work on locating the guardian of the Doom Dimension, and with the help of my partner, Sabator, we might have actually located it."

Barodius was surprised as he had not expected to even see this guardian at all. "Really?" He stood up from his chair and approached Nurzak with scrutinizing eyes. "Are you sure? Because if you are attempting to fool me, the consequence for deception will be extremely dire for you, Nurzak."

"I would not lie to you, sire. In fact, it took me by surprise. As you know, every Bakugan has a unique signature, and the guardian of the Doom Dimension would have their own unique signature due to living in a completely different dimension as to us." Nurzak glanced at Barodius's right shoulder as Dharak lands on the padding of the robe as he was curious in the man's findings. "We did locate the dimension itself, and we managed to read the signal coming from the dimension. And, to my surprise, we located a similar signal with Bakugan DNA."

Barodius could not help but smile, as this was good news. "This is definitely an unexpected turn of events. While I had hoped to find this Bakugan, and ask for its aid, I had not expected to even get close to it. After all, this Bakugan has a role and a duty to other Bakugan, and it might not even want to help us. But locating it is amazing!" Nurzak nodded in agreement, though he didn't seem to be happy like Barodius. And that made the emperor frown. "Is there more information?"

Nurzak nodded. "Yes. The thing is, we didn't locate the Bakugan in the Doom Dimension. It is on another planet. Earth."

"Earth?!"

"Precisely. As you know, sire, some years ago there was some strange dimensional shift that occurred between Vestroia and Earth, and it likely opened the door for the human race to meet Bakugan for the first time. That rift has since been fixed, but the connection must have remained. And my guess is, this Bakugan has a partner on Earth." Barodius realized that this has made things a little different upon knowing that information. "We have the means to travel to Earth, sire, but we would have to be careful. After all, we would need to blend in, and locate the human partner to this Bakugan."

Dharak huffed loudly. "Surely, if you know where the Bakugan is, it would be easy to just snatch the human from the planet! Who cares about needing to be careful?!"

"Hush, Dharak!" Barodius looked at Nurzak with a curious expression. "Were you able to potentially locate and learn of this human partner, by any chance?"

Nurzak shook his head. "I am afraid not. We were, however, able to locate the country and city the partner lives in. That narrows the location down a lot, but we are unable to find the individual. It will require someone to go to Earth, and locate the human themselves. I am prepared to that, sire, should that be your request."

Barodius pondered silently on what to do. Knowing where this ancient Bakugan was right now was interesting to him, and knowing there could be a human partner that could also help. But this would need to be a delicate operation. It couldn't just be anyone who should go to find this person. They would need to approach this person carefully, and make friends with them. And Barodius couldn't think of anyone in his ranks who could do that. Nurzak, maybe, but definitely not the others.

"Hmm…I think your presence is required here more than on another planet, Nurzak," Barodius said after some minutes of thinking. "Is there any indication of who this human might be?"

"I am afraid not. If I had that information, I would tell you. The other information I have is that the guardian seems to move from Earth back to the Doom Dimension, but it is not daily. The Bakugan seems to visit their partner once a month. That's the pattern we've noticed." That meant that the guardian returned to its duty each day, and returned to spend time with its human partner. "It hasn't visited New Vestroia yet, but I imagine that it might."

"Hmmm…and we currently have our younger warriors in training…" Barodius took a deep breath as he realized the importance of this quest. "I am afraid no one here is qualified to locate this human." Nurzak raised an eyebrow at the emperor, not knowing what he meant. "Except for myself."

Dharak turned to his master in shock. "What? You want to go to this planet yourself to find this human?"

"It will be the only way to ensure that we succeed in finding this Bakugan and bringing it to our side." Barodius himself was not even sure where to start looking, but this would be important. "And who else could there be to approach this Bakugan, Dharak? No one else here is the emperor, but me. So I will do it myself." He looked at Nurzak who was surprised that Barodius would even offer to do this. "Gather the others to my throne, Nurzak. I will address them, and have you and Gill be in charge in my stead. I will return at the end of each day, though I will continue to search through the city until I find this person."

"I shall inform them right away, sire. However…" Barodius immediately frowned as Nurzak seemed to be against this decision. "Is it wise for you to leave when we are in the middle of an important stage, sire? We are nearing the readiness that you want us to be to lay siege on Neathia, and while I understand you want this powerful Bakugan to be on our side, is it wise for you leave?"

"Yes, it is. In this case, it is good for the leader to present themselves to such a being. Someone like you could approach the guardian and make a good case, but you aren't the leader. I am sure you understand." Nurzak had no further comment and he bowed respectfully before he turned to leave. "I expect everyone to be in my throne room in five minutes, Nurzak. Make sure they are all present when I get there."

Nurzak did not respond as he understood his emperor's request. Barodius knew, with confidence, he did not need to hear confirmation from Nurzak. The man has been in service with his family for a long time, and will likely continue until he also passes. And Barodius had confidence in him gathering the other members of the Twelve Orders, so that way he may address them properly of his plans. He needed them to understand.

"Will you bring me along?" Dharak asked bluntly, not really pleased with his master's decision. Barodius looked at the Bakugan as he could hear the disappointment in his voice. "I think I'd be better remaining here, so that I may continue to train and…"

"You will be remaining here." The Bakugan was shocked that Barodius did want him to stay. "I cannot have you with me while I investigate and locate the human partner of this Bakugan. Your…bashful nature might prevent us from obtaining the guardian into our ranks. You are also not so good at holding your tongue when you are supposed to." Dharak wanted to say something, but he chose not to. "And for that reason, it would be wise if you stay here, Dharak. I do not know how long it will take for locate this human, but I do hope it will not be very long."

Barodius walked towards the door, as he now felt there had been enough time passed for Nurzak to bring the others to the throne room. "Master…" He stopped and looked at Dharak. "What if you can't find this human? Will we use other methods to locate them?"

Barodius nodded. "We will. Our technology surpasses the technology on Earth, Dharak. It will not be much trouble to find this human once we can narrow the location of the signal to a single human. But only if I cannot find this human, and when the technology is sharpened to the point of pinpoint accuracy. Until then…" The emperor placed his hand on the door handle and turned it. "We will just have to be patient while I investigate."

Dharak had nothing further to say to the emperor, as he could tell that Barodius had settled on the decision. But Dharak couldn't really understand it, as he would have expected Barodius to send one of the others. Though maybe he was right. Barodius might have more success if he goes himself, but he was going to go into unknown territory. None of them have been to Earth before, so this would be new to Barodius as well. But Barodius carried himself with a lot of confidence, so he probably will do the job.

Dharak followed Barodius through the palace to get to the throne room. He knew that the others wouldn't exactly be too thrilled about Barodius going to another planet, but they needed to know so they knew what was expected of them. Dharak himself knew he was going to pay close attention to them, so he would report to Barodius should something happen when he is not around. After all, some of them were good at lying through their teeth.

When they arrived at the throne room, Barodius was pleased to see Nurzak in the room, along with his head scientist, Kazarina, his closest friend, Gill, and his top aquos and ventus warriors, Airzel and Stoica. The younger members of the Twelve Order were not present, as they were currently training, but this information didn't really concern them as much as it did the senior members, and Barodius was satisfied with that.

As Barodius approached the throne, all five bowed respectfully to him, and they were all curious as to why they were summoned to the room, and needed to hear what he had to tell them. Barodius proceeded to inform Gill, Kazarine, Airzel and Stoica about the Doom Dimension guardian being discovered on Earth, and his intention of going to the planet itself in order to locate the human partner the bakugan was clearly spending time with. And they were all in shock.

"Sire, is it really reasonable for you to leave for another planet on the very cusp of war?" Kazarine questioned him with a confused frown. The woman has been a scientist for a long time, though her experiments were not nice when it came to test subjects. She has done some to herself, which has resulted her skin in being blue, instead of grey. The woman wore a purple gown that was expensive, and when she showed it off, Barodius somehow guessed it was to show it to him. But he had not found Kazarina to be attractive, but she was useful. "I fully understand the need to find this bakugan, and very quickly, but to go to a planet you know little about to try and locate this bakugan's partner could take a long time. Shouldn't someone else go?"

Gill nodded. "I agree. Your highness…" Barodius watched as Gill bowed to him respectfully before he continued speaking. "As much as I would be honoured to keep a watch of things here in your stead, I do believe I would be better suited in locating this human. You are best suited here, sire, where you can oversee everything in preparation for war. I will leave immediately per your request."

"No." Barodius was unsurprised that they would try to change his mind regarding going to Earth. "Could it be that you all lack confidence in your emperor?"

They all immediately shook their heads. "Of course not, sire…" Barodius narrowed his eyes at Nurzak who spoke in response to him. "We know you will find this human and bring them back. But we also need you here. And because of that reason, we all feel you should stay."

"I don't think we can convince him to change his mind, Nurzak." Stoica let out a light laugh, making the older Gundalian frown at him as Stoica's personality got under his skin at times. Stoica shrugged and turned to Barodius. "Your highness, I think it is a good idea that you want to see to this task personally. It will mean there will be no errors in obtaining the bakugan in question. I have every faith in you."

"Thank you, Stoica. At least I have someone here who has faith in my abilities. My skills aren't just leadership or brawling, but I am good at investigating too." Barodius looked at Nurzak with a curious expression. "So where exactly on this planet am I going to, Nurzak? You didn't tell me the location yet, and I think it will be helpful for everyone to know where I will be traveling to."

Nurzak nodded as he walked down the stairs from the through and walked over to a panel on the wall to bring up a hologram of Earth. He pressed a few more buttons to bring up the country of Japan. "You will be traveling to country on this planet, called Japan. And the city where this human lives is Bayview." He brought up an image of the city itself. "It's not a massive city, but it does appear to be quite busy daily, and humans visit here a lot. You might have a bit of trouble finding the human due to this reason, sire."

Gill shook his head as he saw the size of the city. "I still think I should go, sire. I will not let you down. I promise that Krakix and I will…"

"No!" Gill flinched at Barodius's snap as the emperor glared at him. "I will be the one to travel to Earth to find the human and bring them here with the bakugan. Do you understand?" Gill nodded as he could see that his emperor was serious. "Good. I do not want to hear another objection from any one of you. I am growing impatient and irritated, and the more you argue against my decision, the closer I get to punishing all of you." Kazarina, Gill and Airzel were uncertain about Barodius's desire to go to the planet. Stoica was okay with the decision, and Nurzek was remaining neutral. "Now that you know of my plan, Gill, you and Nurzak will oversee the preparations in my absence. Training is a must, and see to it that Dharak gets the training he needs."

Airzel seemed surprised. His green hair was always pulled into a ponytail, and left a long fringe that covered the center of his face, making it hard to see his left or right eye at a time, depending how one was facing him. "I would have thought you would take Dharak with you, your highness."

"Dharak is better suited to continue training here, Airzel. He would unlikely prove to be useful in locating the human as well. This is a delicate operation that must be taken with great care, and going alone is what I must do." He looked at Nurzak and stood from his throne. "Nurzak, I believe now is the time to prepare to transport me to the planet. I will begin searching for the human right now."

"Understood. However…" Barodius narrowed his eyes and Nurzak raised his hands defensively. "I mean no disrespect, sire, but I am afraid your attire is going to draw too much attention to yourself." Barodius glanced down at his robes, and he realized Nurzak was right. "While we are able to disguise ourselves as a human, we need to be dressed similarly as they are, sire. And I believe I can help you with an appropriate outfit so you can blend in perfectly."

"Hmm…I had not thought of that. Very well." Barodius brushed down his robe and gestured for Nurzak to lead the way. "Do show me these outfits, Nurzak. I would like to pick what is comfortable to wear, and I also do not wish to feel ridiculous in strange clothes. However, I am surprised that you have clothes."

"I have clothing examples, mainly due to the plan we already had in place to try and get the Battle Brawlers from Earth onto our side," Nurzak responded, and Barodius smiled as he remembered that plan. "As you know, they are currently on New Vestroia, and we need to wait for an opportunity to even approach them. Until then, I have researched the kind of outfits humans wear on Earth, and I certainly can point you in the right direction, sire."

Barodius was pleased, as this could really go to plan. But they did need to find who the human is, and bring them onto their side. He did not know if the Doom Dimension guardian had a side or not, given that the bakugan likely was on its own side. He didn't really know much about the guardian, if he was honest. They only knew of the existence of this guardian through ancient texts about this creature, and he even remembered his father talking about it at some point. And he knew that this being would be powerful. He did not know how strong, but a bakugan like that would certainly fill in their ranks with ease.
