Before we begin, keep in mind this arc is all about the east blue saga.
therefore if ya want, I can put the east blue films in this arc if ya want, ok?.
truth be told, I honestly don't know how far I'll be going with this storyline, but I want to try.
btw, if ya think this is my way of rewriting my other fuwa Luffy story, better known, as the flying monkey storyline...
then your right, this is it, just with a different name.
I'm thinking of giving the name flying monkey to someone else, who I think would use it better than me, ok?.

it's a nice sunny day in the east blue. The sun is shining. The birds are flying high in the sky. The wind blows peacefully in the air.
on a island called dawn island, there lives a young boy, who'll change the world someday. His name...
monkey D Luffy.
as young 7 year old Luffy walks around the forest of goa, he thinks to himself.
(I don't care if I'm just a kid, I want to be a pirate just like them. Just you wait Shanks, I'm going to find a way to get stronger, and then. I'll be a pirate, just like you and the others thought Luffy).
as Luffy walks around he soon spots a small chest on the ground. Confused he starts banging on the lock till it broke off.
as he opens the chest, to his confusion. He finds a strange looking fruit, along with a book.
not knowing what to do, Luffy decides to use his brain for the time being, and began to read said book.
to his surprise, it talked about the strange fruit, calling it a devil fruit. This devil fruit, better known, as the float float fruit, has the power to make the user be able to fly. Not only that, but with a single touch, the user can make things float in the air. It can't however, make other living and or organic things float.
after reading the book. Luffy put the book down, showing that his eyes have turned into stars.
the power to fly, and make things I touch float into the air??. That's so cool. I got to eat this thing before someone or something eats it first said Luffy excited.
just like that, Luffy takes a big bite out of the devil fruit, and swallows it whole.
eww, this tastes bad. But it's worth it said Luffy before standing up.
as Luffy takes a few deep breaths in and out. He tries to concentrate on his bodies weight. As he does this, he quickly manages to start floating in the air. Seeing this, Luffy was getting even more excited.
this is the best day ever!. With this power, I can use it to fly, fight in midair, and what's more. I can turn a single drop of water, into a weapon, just by touching it once said Luffy smiling happily.
just like that, Luffy began landing back to the ground, then he started running to inform the people of his new abilities.
[a few hours later]
as Luffy was showing off his flying skills, the crowd was proud of Luffy becoming a skilled boy.
as the young children was laughing in happiness for Luffy. The crowd then saw the friendly pirate crew, better known as the red haired pirates.
hey!, Luffy!, come on down from there!, there's no telling what could happen! Said Shanks the captain of said pirate crew.
Luffy did as told and flew down. He then looked up to his friend "red hair' Shanks ".
Luffy, how the hell did you get your greedy hands, on the float float fruit? Asked Shanks in a worried tone.
I found it in a small chest, I ate it, so now I can fly said Luffy smiling happily.
you do know that means you have a weakness right? Asked Shanks.
huh?, what do you mean? Asked Luffy confused. Devil fruit users lose their ability to swim forever. They can't swim anymore, because the sea hates them now said Shanks in a serious manner.
seriously?!. But wait, does that mean I can't touch the water in the ocean then? Asked Luffy in a panic.
well... I guess you can still do that, but you need to be careful. Also, you should be careful with what you touch, because the last person who had it. Was able to turn a whole island upside down. And that was him having fun, think of the damage he could do, with a few giant ships to use as a weapon said Shanks being smart.
seriously?, if that's the case, then how do I get rid of it? Asked Luffy scared of his new powers.
that's the thing Luffy, the only way to lose your devil fruit... is by dying... in other words, your stuck with it till death said Shanks.
I... I see, so I'm a monster then said Luffy looking sad now.
nonsense, with the right training, you can use it for good. You just need the right teacher said Shanks.
does that mean, I'm finally going to join your crew Shanks? Asked Luffy excited.
sadly not. We ain't got what it takes to teach ya Luffy. Sorry said Shanks.
then who? Asked Luffy confused. Why not let your grandfather train you Luffy, he has experience with this type of devil fruit said Makino.
what?!, grandpa, no way, he'll kill me this time said Luffy. Who's Luffy's grandfather? Asked Shanks confused.
who else, then monkey D Garp said Makino.
hold up, "Garp' the fist". He's a grandfather?. Not only that, but he's Luffy's grandpa? Asked Shanks in shock.
yes, he happens to be training Luffy to become a marine someday said Makino.
like that's going to happen, Luffy would rather die, right? Asked Shanks to Luffy.
yep, I'm going to be a pirate, end of discussion said Luffy.
in that case, why not declare yourself the best pirate said Shanks. How? Asked Luffy.
simple, you form your own pirate crew, then make a name for yourself said Shanks.
but, didn't you say I'm not cut out for piracy? Asked a confused Luffy.
yes, but this is different, you wish to rebel, so be a strong pirate. That's how I'd do it said Shanks.
in that case, I'm going to build the best pirate crew, the world has ever seen. I'm going to be king of the pirates! Said Luffy out loud.
king of the pirates huh?... in that case, I wish you luck, your majesty said Shanks smiling.
sisisisi, thanks laughed Luffy happily.
and just like that, Luffy began his training.
[10 years later]
it's a good day to set sail said Luffy.
Luffy has turn 17 now. Luffy wears a red sleeveless vest. A pair of black pants. Some black shoes. And has on a red cowboy hat.
around his left hip is a cutlass. On his right hip is a telescopic. He even has four bags. Two full of food. And the others full of gold.
just like that, Luffy begins to fly into the air, along with his travel bags.
as he flies away from his home island, he thinks back of how hard he had it when it came to both sword training and the Haki lessons he had by his grandfather.
no matter how hard he trained, the only haki he could do, was observation haki and armament haki.
as for his sword training, he managed to build his own sword style.
as he flew onward, he saw the dead remains, of the sea king he defeated years ago at the age of 10.
sisisi, today is the day. I'm going to form my own pirate crew, head to the grand line. And find one piece. This is going to be great said Luffy as he flu a bit higher.
I'M GOING TO BE KING OF THE PIRATES!! Yelled Luffy to the heavens.
