TenTen has been a hard worker her entire life. This was properly credited to her when she finally obtained a scholarship to one of the most prestigious schools in all of the Ninja world, Konoha Academy.
Known for being one of the most elite upper schools ever, Gai, her dad, was ecstatic when his only daughter made such an achievement. "TenTen!" Gai cooed, hugging her affectionately, to her dismay. "I'm so proud of you, my daughter."
TenTen cringes, "Please stop. You're embarrassing me." This however, does not stop Gai in the slightest. It made things even more embarrassing when fellow shoppers would glance at the pair with a judgmental look.
Gai does eventually let go of her, returning to his general shopping duties. TenTen looks back down at the shopping list on her paper, heading to the dairy section to obtain milk. She opens the fridge door, examining each brand and due date. Literally as she was about to grab a carton, she feels a grimy hand grab one of her buns. Practically screeching internally, she turns around.
TenTen glares at whatever creature could've possibly grabbed her hair - in which it was a little kid, who looked extremely unhygienic. She grimaces, "What the hell? Why'd you do that?" TenTen sighs, reaching a hand onto her hair, feeling something gooey stuck to her left bun.
The child before her laughs, before running away. Immediately, a bad feeling rises up her gut.
She stares at the hand she just pulled away, to be met with a disgusting sight. A chunk of melted gum was stuck to the tips of fingers, and she almost wanted to throw up. 'What the fuck!', TenTen screams internally.
"Hey, you!" TenTen calls out behind the brat, ready to chase him and give him what he deserves. She wipes, well, attempts to wipe the gooey substance off her fingers - but it won't come off. She grows agitated with each second, the vein in her forehead practically sticking out at this point.
TenTen clenches her fists angrily, before inhaling to calm herself. She grabs the milk, stomping back to the trolley where Gai was. "What's got you so angry?" Gai teases, unaware of what tragedy just occurred.
She huffs, "This little brat just stuck gum in my hair. Gum!" TenTen exclaims in anger, pointing to the space bun on her head that was covered in the pink residue.
Gai holds in his laugh. He knows it would be unethical to make her angrier than she already was. Instead, he sighs, a grin still plastered on his face. Gai waves it off, "We can cut it off later, TenTen." He assures, which doesn't seem to help her already sour mood.
TenTen feels even more frustrated, tears brimming her lash line. "I don't want to cut it-" She pauses, "I spent a while growing it back out. It's not fair."
Gai just sighs.
TenTen cried when her hair got cut off by Kurenai, her dad's friend.
She cried even harder when she looked in the mirror.
Unluckily for her, the gum was stuck in the worst possible part of her hair, and she was forced to cut it all the way to her ears. Kurenai tried styling it to make her hair seem better than it was, but TenTen despised short hair.
She re-reads the letter from Konoha Academy. She was going to start in two days - and her hair was a mess! Well, nobody would turn an eye to her hair in public, it was simply just a big deal to TenTen.
She sighs when she lays in bed. It felt weird, having such light weight on her head. She was used to the small strain of her twin buns pulling on her scalp. Guess she'd have to wait a while before she felt that again.
TenTen wakes up to her loud alarm blaring in the morning. Her father probably already left for his work, leaving TenTen to travel and adjust to her new school by herself.
She was not by any means an introvert or anti-social. But, she was feeling incredibly anxious today. Konoha Academy was a super expensive and prestigious school, known for having low acceptance rates unless you cashed out your entire bank account. It was miracle her brain even pulled through far enough to get her this scholarship.
She'd miss her friends, but she'd definitely stay in contact with them.
She had no idea if they had a uniform or not, but nothing about that was mentioned in the letter - and it would be way too late to buy one on her first day there. TenTen simply dressed in a baggy brown sweater with black pants. It was cold anyways.
The first problem she encountered was the train lines. They were extremely complicated, she definitely should've planned a route the night before. TenTen raises an eyebrow at the current map of routes she was looking at, before giving up. She just jumped on a random train that she prayed would take her to Konoha Academy.
Guess she prayed to the right Gods today, because she watched how the train stopped right in front of Konoha Academy. It was beautiful. A large fence acted as a perimeter for the massive building. TenTen looked in awe at the pretty, pink building that stood before her. "Sweet Kami.." She mumbled to nobody in particular as there was practically hearts in her eyes.
This is the part when she realized other students are in uniforms. A small twinge of embarrassment fills her body, a heat pressing down on her cheeks now. TenTen walks past them without a care though, holding her books to her chest. She can feel eyes on her.
The heat on TenTen's cheeks definitely gets more prominent, but she pushes through all the way to student reception. Where she got lost multiple times. Her classes don't start till tomorrow, but TenTen thinks it'll be smart to revise her work. She finds the library - which is filled with people despite it's size. It's also incredibly loud.
TenTen finds three more libraries after this, and they all end up being like the previous one. Way too crowded and loud for her tastes. All she wanted was a quiet place to study.
TenTen huffs, making her way down an empty hallway as she clutches her book bag to her chest. She's already annoyed. She has been since she lost all her hair.
She stumbles upon a room. Music room 3. It had no noise coming from it. "Guess this is the only place where I can actually study." TenTen grumbles with a sigh, pushing open the door.
A flow of rose petals immediately fly at her upon opening the door, making her cock her head in curiosity. When TenTen finally peers inside, a group of male students are there, greeting her at the door. TenTen is confused.
"Welcome!" They all greet her with a friendly tone, the aura around them bright. TenTen squints, trying to make them out. She finally realizes what this is, and immediately feels embarrassed. "..The host club?" TenTen is about to turn her back, but the door slams behind her.
"Oh, it's a boy." A voice chimes, sounding disappointed. TenTen narrows her eyes at the comment, but decides not to say anything. "Are you new?" A different voice asks. It's deeper, more like an older male.
TenTen clears her throat, embarrassed enough already. "Yes." She mumbles, keeping her responses minimal. This felt so pressuring with all these eyes on her.
The same man speaks. He was tall, had long hair that was tied back into a low ponytail, and a pretty face - which was adorned with highly defined stress wrinkles under his eyes. He gestures to the other members, "Well, don't be rude. Welcome to Konoha Host Club, Honor Student."
Before TenTen can even speak, another man interrupts. "Whattt? This is the Honor Student?" His lazy voice drawls, now stepping closer to examine TenTen, she presumes. She quivers, cowering back into the door as his striking purple eyes lean closer and practically peer into her soul. He turns back, "This is TenTen Might?" The man almost sounds disappointed.
"How do you know my name?" TenTen blurts out nervously, still hiding near the door. It wasn't opening for some damned reason.
The man with black long hair responds this time, "Well, it's hard for commoners like you, to get into a school of this level. Of course everybody's gonna hear about it." He sounds extremely cocky, and has no regard for anybody's feelings with wording like that. TenTen squints her eyes at his choice of wording. Rude.
She had no idea if that was his intention though. His voice was extremely monotone. TenTen takes this opportunity to glance at the other men there. There was six of them.
Distracted, the louder man with purple eyes stands next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "Even if you are the smartest person in the school, you're still the poorest." He teases cruelly, giving her a obnoxious smirk. She glances up at him, unimpressed before scooting away from his touch. He follows. "I'll willingly welcome you into our world of wealth." The man continues.
TenTen's eyebrow twitches in annoyance, "Excuse me." She shoves past the grey-haired man, about to leave until a heavy force tugs her back. "TenTen-Chan!" A loud, high pitched voice coos, pulling her back into his arms.
She looks back, horrified. It was the man with the mask, "Leaving so soon?" TenTen can basically see his frown through his mask, and he sounds like he's about to cry.
"What?" TenTen is confused. And she does not want to stick around. "I'm busy. Studying." She ponders for a second, before glaring. "And who are you calling TenTen-Chan?" She hisses at the masked man, making him cower away.
"Who would've thought the legendary Honor Student would be gay?" The man from before teases, letting out a 'Tsk Tsk'. TenTen snaps her head in his directon angrily. "...Gay?" She stutters out, confused.
He looks at her, smirking. "What's your type?" The man gestures to the tallest man in the room, who scared the hell out of TenTen. He was tall, tan, with striking green eyes. Not in a sexy way though, more like haunting. The grey haired man continues, "The Wild type?
TenTen's eyes flicker to the boy next in line, which was the masked man. The grey haired man continues, "The Childish type?" On cue, it was like a camera moved onto the next two, which were two short men - one red hair, the other long blond hair. "The little devil type?
The man with long hair from before steps up, "The cool type?" TenTen's eyes make their way back to the purple eyed man in disbelief. "What?" She swats her hand in a rejecting gesture.
"It's not like that," TenTen stutters out, "I'm not here for anything like that!" She backs away slowly in the direction of the vase, unknowingly. The man steps forward, chuckling. "..Or maybe," He grabs her chin, leaning closer. TenTen almost faints, her jaw dropping, but not in a good way. "...You'd like to try me?" He coos.
TenTen freaks out, stepping even further backwards and bumping into the table. The vase falls, and she drops her books in an attempt to catch it. But she fails, and it shatters all over the floor.
Her eyes are blown wide, and her mouth is agape in shock and horror. She was screwed.
