Yo! Lots of you were surprised at what I did in the last chapter. Glad you all loved it all the same! Now, some of you have messaged me asking if there was going to be any NTR in it. I will tell you now, NO. Yes, Aster will make gestures or comments to Jaden, but those are to get under his skin. Alexis will act like a total b**tch to everyone like she did in canon.
Much like last story, I am focusing not on Jaden to save everyone, but others. Chazz, Bastion, Syrus, etc. to save other members. The ONLY one Jaden will most likely save is Alexis, due to Sartorius using intense mind control on her, like in canon. Unlike in Canon, EVERYONE in the SoL will remember EVERYTHING. So expect a LOT of tears and crying near the end.
For now, enjoy!
The group all was back in the Slifer Dorm, everyone in a state of shock. Alexis had been beaten, turned to the SoL. Everyone looked at Jaden, but the golden eyed boy was silent. Jason saw the looks as he entered and frowned. The loss had hit everyone hard, more so for Jaden. He watched as many of the Reds were muttering now, stating that it was hopeless. Jasmine and Mindy were blaming themselves, wishing they had convinced Alexis to let them take on.
Jason scowl grew deeper and deeper as the students just gave up. Finally having enough, he slammed his hands down on a table. The sudden noise made them all stop talking and look up the professor.
"I can't believe you all." Jason snarled, making them balk. "You're acting like we already lost."
"But...Professor Sweet...Alexis..." Jasmine hiccuped out.
"Knew EXACTLY what she was getting into. Yes...the outcome was unexpected, unthinkable even! But guess what? YOU are giving them EXACTLY what THEY want!"
Everyone was confused. The Professor broke it down for them.
The SoL wanted them heavyhearted. They wanted them at their lowest. They wanted the rest of the student body so downtrodden that it would be easy pickings for the Leader of the SoL to pick them off one by one. It was a tactic as old as time itself; weaken the morale of the enemy until nothing remained.
"I look around and see you all shivering in fear. I really can't blame you. I'm scared as hell too. We're fighting an enemy that is NOTHING like last year. The enemy last year didn't brainwash our friends, our family, our fellow students. But they still came at us with everything and then some!" Jason said, stepping behind the counter.
But there was one thing that the SoL didn't count on.
"Our unshakable wills. Jasmine, Mindy. I saw you two face down a Demon right outta hell last year and laugh it off!"
Both girls blushed, but nodded, recalling Beelzebub. Professor Sweet turned to the next student.
"Chazz! I saw you rise above who you once were and give us the greatest duels the academy ever had!"
Said boy smiled sheepishly and rub the back of his head, chuckling lightly.
"Syrus, you were once afraid of your own shadow and terrified of Jaden. Look at you now. You've become not only the King of the Ring's best friend, but one of the top ten duelists around!"
Blushing red, Syrus buried himself into his chair, DMG giggling like mad. The professor pressed on. Each and every former member of the Reds had grown by leaps and bounds last year and this year.
"Jaden here not only faced down now just three beings who threatened all of God's hard work, but assholes who tried to cast him out, students who thought they were better, even a triple Class S criminal and came out unscathed!"
Jaden stirred a little, looking up, but still held a dead expression in his eyes. Seeing that, Jason grit his teeth and returned to the rest of the Reds.
"You all make this old Pro proud to have you be his students. You all faced your own challenges and not just overcome them, but shattered their own limitations. Yes, I'm including you in that Jaden!"
Said King was shaken out of his daze, looking at the professor with his black sclera and golden eyes. Meeting the boy's gaze with his own brown eyes, he nodded.
"Before, you were the most anti-social person around. You saw people as a means to end. You didn't want Slifer disrespected so you whipped all of the Former Reds into duelists that wear the Sky Dragon's name with pride. But...one person wormed his way into your stone cold heart. Then another and another."
Jaden thought back to last year, knowing that the professor was speaking the truth. One by one, his study group slowly chipped away at his stone heart, breaking down walls he had built up for years. By the middle of last year, he proudly called many of them his friends. Jason placed a hand on Jaden's shoulder, frowning.
"I know about your past. I know how much it hurts. So...are you gonna keep your pity party going, letting history repeat itself or are you going to do something about it?"
Jaden's head snapped at the professor, shocked, his sclera becoming white again. Jason nodded. He had done his research, looked at the lore and legends. He knew who Jaden truly was. Stepping away, Jason spun around, facing the larger group.
"I don't know about all you...but I will tell you what I won't do. I WON'T COWER! I will not, cannot sit by while we're under siege again from a new threat. We lost some battles, but this does NOT mean we lost the war! The SoL wants us to be afraid, wants us to doubt ourselves, all so we can be supposedly 'enlightened'!"
The words, the zeal coming from their professors mouth. It lit their souls aflame with passion, with desire. The desire to save their friends, loved ones. To show the SoL that they were not afraid.
"I want to show this SoL and its shadow leader that we will not go quietly into the night! Whose with me!?"
The entire dorm broke out into cries, throwing their fists into the air.
"We're gonna save those that have been taken from us. We're gonna show the Society that we will not back down nor are we afraid! They want a war? Well...LET'S GIVE THEM A WAR AND THEN SOME!" Jason bellowed, throwing his fist into the air.
The entire dorm roared, joining their professor. Jaden watched on, seeing himself back in the castle grounds, giving a similar speech to all armies, duel monster and human alike. The cheers and cries echoed all around him, making him smile, tears starting to flow.
"Professor."
Jason turned, seeing the young king with a large smile on his face and tears flowing freely.
"...thank you."
Jason smiled, nodding. The groups all split apart, beginning to plan. Syrus paused, listening.
"Huh...why do I hear the last bits of 'Rise' by Skillet on the air?" The tiny boy asked himself, straining his ears to hear the final chords and words of the song.
Rise!
Rise!
Rise!
Rise in revolution!
EODGX
Sartorius roared with laughter at the report. The Former Cyber Queen was under his control once more! Shuffling his tarot deck, the still laughing man drew the card...and gasped. The card dropped from his hands like it was on fire.
"The Wheel of Fate?! Upside down?! HOW?!" Sartorius roared, taking the next card off the deck.
The card's image was of a woman with a halo over her head, a large red-orange lion at her side. The card was face up, making Sartorius grit his teeth.
"The Strength...someone show how has rallied the dorm...but how?! Aster told me that everyone looked upset at the Queen's defeat!" Sartorius bellowed.
He had to find out who had done this and make them see the light. They would pay for derailing his plans.
Looks like Jaden isn't the only one defying fate! Professor Sweet is not going to stand back and let the SoL steam roll over them!
