Chapter 2: Part 12
"RAWR!" Monokuma screamed into the microphone. "It's morning! Get up already!"
Sayaka's eyes slowly cracked open. Her sleep-filled daze made her want to remain laying down, but rolling onto her side reminded her of something. The aching, restrictive, uncomfortable metal around her wrists. She was still handcuffed. Once that feeling returned, Sayaka sat herself up from the floor. At the exact same time, Tenko jumped out of bed and smiled brightly at the idol.
"Good morning, Sayaka!" Tenko said.
Sayaka half-heartedly waved at Tenko. "Hey, Tenko. Hey, listen. Is it ok if you go ahead and unlock these?"
Sayaka held her handcuffs up.
"I'd like to change before breakfast," Sayaka added on.
Tenko nodded. "Sure thing!" Tenko opened the drawer to her nightstand and took out the key. She then approached Sayaka and knelt down next to her to unlock her cuffs.
Sayaka rolled her hands a bit, trying to ease her back into her freedom of movement. "Thank you," Sayaka said as she stood up from the floor."
"No problem," Tenko smiled.
Sayaka made her way over to the door, but the moment she touched the doorknob she froze. She turned back to face Tenko.
"Tenko, listen…" Sayaka frowned, "about my secret-"
Tenko sighed. "Sayaka, I keep telling you, everything is fine. It's your second chance, remember?"
Sayaka wanted to protest. She wanted to admit then and there that her secret was legitimately bad. So bad she was actually even considering smothering Tenko in her sleep. However, when Sayaka opened her mouth, nothing came out. Sayaka simply nodded to her friend.
"Yeah," Sayaka said. "Second chance."
Tenko kept up her smile and fist pumped the air. "I'll see you at the cafeteria."
Sayaka waved her temporary goodbye to her friend before finally exiting the room. As soon as she shut the door behind her, she practically fell back against it, leaning up against the door, and just barely propping herself up with her hands. She let out a deep breath.
'I can't keep panicking like this!' Sayaka thought to herself. 'I'm a pop idol. I should be able to control myself better than this!'
After a few more deep breaths before stepping away from the door. As she went back to her room, one thought crossed her mind.
'God, I hope that someone was killed.'
Taka tapped his fingers again the cafeteria table. Of course, it was only natural for him to have arrived for the morning meeting. He needed to be the best group leader for his class. However, due to the circumstances of the motive, he was unusually impatient. He may have only experienced two motives, but both of them ended with murder. In fact, recalling every motive the group had lived and died through, all them were successful in manipulating the students.
Angie had been seated next to Taka, he was the one watching over her in custody after all. Although, it could be seen as the other way around, as Angie noticed that Taka's finger tapping had gotten faster. She smiled at him.
"Are you by chance nervous, Taka?" Angie asked.
Taka halted his nervous tick and straightened his posture. "I'm only slightly nervous, Yonaga. I just wish to begin this morning meeting."
Angie kept up her smile as she leaned closer to Taka. "You're not worried about one of us committing a murder?"
Taka's eyes widened. "Of course not! I have complete confidence in this class to not fall for Monokuma's tricks."
"But they have before," Angie said before gently taking a hold of Taka's hand. "I don't mean to discourage you, but you must always keep all possibilities in mind as group leader."
Taka sighed. "I know that, but…to fall into such paranoia…"
"Shhhh," Angie pressed her finger against Taka's lips. "Being prepared isn't being paranoid. It's Atua's will for us to prepare ourselves for the deceptions of sinners."
Taka placed his fist against his chin. "You've mentioned Atua's will several times during our stay here. What exactly does Atua want?"
Angie's ever-present smile grew even wider as a darkness enveloped her eyes. She took a hold of Taka's hands and opened her mouth to speak. However, she was cut off before she could even speak, as Mondo entered the room while dragging in the cuffed Kiyo. The bike briefly paused in his tracks as he saw his bro holding hands with a, albeit, a crazy girl.
Mondo had a proud grin across his face. "Am I interrupting anything, man?"
Taka had a puzzled expression for a moment before looking down to see, yes, Angie was still holding his hands. Taka's face turned red and he quickly pulled his hands out of Angie's grasp. Angie simply laughed.
"Nyahaha!" Angie looked at Mondo. "Don't be so silly, Mondo. Taka and I were just discussing today's morning topic."
"Suuuuure, you are," Mondo said as he sat himself down next to Taka. He still had the shit-eating grin across his face as he leaned over to Taka. "You smooth bastard, I knew you had it in you."
"H-hush, Mondo!" Taka's blush brightened.
Before Mondo had the chance to tease his bro some more, Kaito and Chiaki stepped into the room. Since Angie and Mondo sat on both sides of Taka, the two other group leaders just sat themselves beside Mondo. Soon afterwards came the rest of the timely students. Teruteru immediately made his way past the students at the table and into the kitchen. Next were Kaede, Mahiru, and Shinji. Shinji had his usual stoic facial expression across his face and Mahiru's solemn expression wasn't surprising either, but it was surprising to see the usually cheery Kaede frowning while sweating bullets. After them, was Rantaro and Mikan. Rantaro gave everyone a friendly wave while letting out a long yawn. Mikan actually had her hands on Rantaro's arms while she followed behind him, almost as if she feared he'd pass out and fall over.
As both Rantaro and Mikan sat down, Sakura entered the room with the handcuffed Mukuro. Surprisingly for the both of them, neither had their standard blank facial expressions they pretty much always had, but instead both of them had their heads hung with their hair covering their eyes. Following them was Chihiro. The programmer attempted to inhale air through her nose then exhale it through her mouth to ease her anxiety, but it was far too shaky and nervous. Everyone could see she was scared. Then came in Tenko, who had Sayaka handcuffed once again. Despite what had happened the previous day, Sayaka had reverted back to her cheerful smile.
"Oh, good morning, Chabashira!" Taka said. "Good morning, Maizono!"
Tenko grumbled something under her breath as she sat herself down.
"You seem to be in a much better mood than yesterday," Kaitosaid to Sayaka.
"Yep!" Sayaka responded. "I just needed some time to rest."
"And a pep-talk from her best friend!" Tenko said.
Sayaka turned to Tenko and nodded. "That helped too!"
"Well, that's good to hear you're feeling better," Chiaki commented.
Mondo raised an eyebrow as he looked at Sayaka. "Really? I mean, you were freaking the hell out after those motives."
"Well, who wouldn't?" Tenko spoke up. "Monokuma had all of our deepest secrets! We all freaked out when we saw them! Why are you getting on Sayaka's case?!"
Mondo groaned at Tenko's aggressive tone. "I'm not getting on the chick's case. I'm just making sure she's alright and shit."
Tenko opened her mouth once again, but Sayaka covered it. Sayaka smiled at Mondo and nodded. "Thank you for your concern, Mondo," the pop idol said. "But like I said, I just needed some time to calm down and needed a pep-talk. I'm much better now."
When Sayaka removed her hand from Tenko's mouth, Tenko spoke up. "So, now that Sayaka is feeling better, can I take her handcuffs off?"
Taka looked toward both Kaito and Chiaki for confirmation, which both of them nodded to. Taka turned back to Tenko. "You may, Chabashira. And while we're at it, Ogami, you may uncuff Ikusaba as well."
Sakura broke out of whatever trance she had been under when she was called to action. "If you insist," Sakura said before she turned to Mukuro and unlocked her handcuffs.
Kiyo raised his bandaged hand. "Does that mean I will be uncuffed as well?"
Taka was about to speak, but a light tap on his shoulder. He turned to see that it was Angie. The Ultimate Artist shook her head at Taka, who then turned his attention back to Kiyo.
"I must apologize, Shinguji, but it may take more time for us to full trust you are indeed safe to let loose," Taka explained.
Kiyo shrugged. "That's fair enough."
As the group's conversation died down, the rest of the students filed into the room. Once again, Celestia enter with her clique of Kirumi, Gundham, and Peko. They all seemed rather relaxed considering the motive from the previous day. After them was Nekomaru, Gonta and Ryoma. Then, it was once again Hifumi and Hiyoko entering the room together. Ibuki skipped merrily into the room and jumped into an open seat. And after that was Miu dragging Nagito in by his chained leash. Leon came in soon afterwards while rubbing his eyes. Then finally, after separating himself from the group for so long, Kokichi entered the cafeteria.
Tenko rose from her seat and pointed aggressively at the purple-haired boy. "What do you think you're doing here, Kokichi?!"
"Uh, shouldn't we jump him or something?" Leon asked.
"Not a bad idea," Nekomaru rose from his seat. "Gonta, help me catch this kid!"
"Wow, wow, wow," Kokichi held his hands up. "Look, I know I get strong reactions everywhere I go, but you guys are making it sound like you all hate me or something."
"You do hate you, you turd!" Miu hissed out.
Tears formed in the edges of Kokichi's eyes. "Wha…But, but I just wanted to hang out with my friends. WAH! WHY ARE YOU ALL SO-"
"Kokichi, can stop with the fake crying and just tell us why you're here?" Kaede asked. "Seriously, you've done that bit enough for us to know it's always fake."
Kokichi's eyes immediately dried up and he groaned. "Seriously, Kaede? Way to just kill my fun. I don't remember you being this much of a party pooper."
"Just get to the point, kid," Mondo demanded.
"Fiiiiiine," Kokichi whined. "If you all must know, I came here to see what was up with Monokuma's morning announcement."
"The morning announcement?" Mahiru raised an eyebrow.
"I believe Kokichi is referring to how aggressive it was," Celestia said.
Kokichi snapped his fingers and pointed to the gambler. "Bingo, Celeste. There was no good morning or raise and shine or anything like that."
"Now that you say that, it is weird," Kaito stroked his beard. As he pondered it over, his eyes widened. "Hey, everyone is here today, right?"
Everyone looked towards one another and, sure enough, everyone was in fact in the cafeteria. Even Teruteru poked his head out of the kitchen once he prepared everyone's meals.
"We all here," Gonta said. "We all live."
Suddenly, Monokuma rose from underneath the table, his red eye glowing with rage. "Yeah!" he growled. "You all mind telling me what that's about?!"
Everyone scooted their seats back to create some space between them and the bear.
"Seriously," Monokuma stomped his foot against the table, " I had to go through the effort of digging up the deepest dirt I could find on you little twerps and you all had the gall to not even kill each other! What's the deal?!"
Once she heard what was exactly bothering Monokuma, Kaede smirked. "Well, looks like we were right after all. We aren't going to fall for your tricks anymore."
"Yeah!" Ibuki leapt from her chair and leaned towards Monokuma's face. "In your face! In, in, in, in your face! In, in, in, in your face! In, in, in-"
Monokuma held his paw up and his claws popped out. Before he could get the chance to swipe at Ibuki, Peko quickly yanked the rocker out of harm's way. While Monokuma's anger was scary, it didn't stop the class from feeling proud of themselves. Hiyoko stuck her tongue out at the bear while Leon and Miu flipped him off. Shinji, Celeste, and Nagito smirked while Taka stood tall and crossed his arms.
"As you can see," Taka said, "we are much stronger than you remember."
Monokuma lowered his paw and went silent…
After a moment of silence, Monokuma's smile grew. "Are you sure about that?" he asked. "Sure, you may not have killed each other, but I still get to have my fun."
Monokuma reached behind himself before pulling out a stake of envelopes. "I get to say your secrets!" he sang.
Everyone's positive vibes slowly turned to terror as Monokuma waved the envelopes in their faces.
"Actually, Monokuma," Chiaki stood up from her seat, "if I could make a request, I'd think it would be nice if I read the secrets instead."
"Wha-wha-what?" Monokuma looked at the gamer. "Why in the sweet name of despair would I let you take away the pleasure of upsetting all you?"
"Well, you'd still hear us reacting to all of the secrets," Chiaki said. "You'd still get your entertainment…I think."
"But if you do it, you'd be trying to be nice and understanding and junk for all of them," Monokuma said. "But I'll compromise. I won't read the secrets out loud."
Chiaki held her hand out, "Thank y-"
"Kokichi will!" Monokuma shouted before tossing the envelopes to the purple-haired boy.
"NO!" Tenko screamed.
"No!" Kaito yelled.
"Oh, come on!" Leon complained.
"Hmmm, interesting," Nagito said.
Kokichi stacked the envelopes on top of each other and smiled at the rest of the group. "Don't worry, guys. I'll be as respectful as possible."
"Yeah, I doubt that, man," Leon said.
"And with that, I bid you all adieu," Monokuma bowed to the class before hoping off the table and disappearing underneath it.
Safe to say, despite the fact they had all remained strong in their convictions, they were still punished with having their secrets exposed. Of course, that was part of the deal with the motive, but to have Kokichi read them honestly made them wish they killed someone. Before Kokichi could speak up, Chiaki spoke one more time.
"I know we're upset we have to have our secrets read," Chiaki said, "but remember we're all the same side. We all promised this was our second chance. So, just like when we explained how we all died, please try to not to judge each other."
"Yeah, Chiaki's right!" Kaito said. "We've all done some bad stuff before, so there's no reason to get at each other's throats."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Kokichi said as he opened up the first envelope. "Some of you guys are guaranteed to have some dark secrets. For example, we got Nekomaru's."
Nekomaru blew some air of his nose as he prepared himself.
"As an Ultimate Despair," Kokichi read, "Nekomaru would kidnap hundreds of people and forced them into concentration camps for manual labor, mostly to work them to death."
"J-Jesus, dude," Leon turned to his trainer. "Is that for real?"
"I wouldn't doubt it," Mukuro spoke up. "Junko would always order the Ultimate Despair to do the most vile acts she could think of."
"B-but it wasn't their fault, right?" Chihiro asked.
"No," Chiaki said. "Junko admitted she had to brainwash them to become Ultimate Despair. They were just as much victims to Junko as anyone else."
"It still doesn't change that my body was used to kill so many," Nekomaru said. "My choice or not, it was still me doing it."
"I understand what you mean," Sakura said. "You trained yourself to the peak of physical strength, so have that strength used for Junko quest for despair…it's humiliating."
Kokichi picked up the next envelope and opened it. "Nyehehe! Not as humiliating as this next one. Hifumi back in middle school accidently left his Sonic smut fanfic in the school paper."
Everyone shifted their attention to the round nerd. They all had looks of confusion and repulsion. Even Hiyoko had to scoot herself a few inches away after hearing that secret.
"Sonic…the Hedgehog?" Gundham asked. "Th-the animal?"
"H-hey, you promised you guys wouldn't judge me!" Hifumi whined.
"Fuck that!" Miu said. "You write porn about animal people, you stupid fucking nerd!"
"To view animals in such a light is distasteful!" Gundham shouted as he held his dark disciples close to his chest as if to protect them from Hifumi.
"B-b-b-but it's not like they're real!" Hifumi said.
"Dude, why can't you just look at human porn like a regular person?" Leon asked.
"Why do you even write porn at all?" Mahiru nearly gagged. "Seriously, guys like you are the biggest creeps."
"Yeah!" Tenko agreed. "You're the nastiest degenerate I've ever seen!"
Hiyoko went to announce distaste of Hifumi's past, but she saw Angie straighten up to speak.
"The value of one's art is in the eye of the individual," Angie said almost as if she was some wise philosopher. "To us, we will never understand it, but to Hifumi it means something."
'You really want me to keep hanging out with him?' Hiyoko asked.
"Enough!" Taka said loud enough to stun everyone into silence. "While Hifumi's actions were indeed a disrespectful use of the school paper, we promised we'd maintain focus and simply accept that these actions are left in the past."
Hifumi sighed and looked at Hiyoko. "S-sorry, you had to hear that," he whispered.
"Just shut up," Hiyoko whispered back. "I'm only staying here because it's what Angie would do."
Kokichi moved onto the third envelope, ripping it open and pulling out the secret. Upon reading it, Kokichi smirked. "Awww. Kaede is secretly bisexual."
Kaede blushed out of embarrassment. "D-did you really have to say it like that?"
"What?" Kokichi asked. "I'm just reading it how it is."
"Hold on," Miu interrupted. "Are any of us really surprised Kaediot swings both ways? Seriously, she was all for staring at my tits while giving Pooichi handies."
"I-I did not!" Kaede protested.
"Hey, inventor chick," Mondo spoke up. "How about you shut up or I'll smack your mouth off!"
"E-eek!" Miu immediately shriveled up in her chair. "D-don't get so mad at me. I was just saying what we were all thinking."
Kirumi tapped her chin. "Now that you mention it, Kaede was quite the physical person during conversations."
"So, have you had both at once or what?" Teruteru asked as some blood dripped from his nose. "And what's your policy on letting someone watch?"
'Don't ask to watch her and another chick,' Leon thought to himself. 'For God's sake, don't ask her, Leon!'
"Can we please not make such a big deal out of this?" Kaede asked. "This is kind of the reason I never talk about it."
"I'm going to agree with Kaede," Mahiru said. "You guys are seriously overreacting about it. What if we asked to see you make out with another guy, Teruteru?"
"I'd be fine with it," Teruteru smirked.
"Well, Ibuki for one supports Kaede no matter who she likes!" Ibuki cheered.
"Yeah," Kaito smiled. "And since it seems to be a sensitive topic, we'll back off, Kaede."
"Thank you, Kaito," Kaede said.
Bored that the drama had died down, Kokichi moved on to the fourth envelope. "Hmmm. Well, this isn't as much a shock to me, but here it goes. Korekiyo watched his sister have sex."
If everyone was disgusted by Hifumi's secret, they were absolutely appalled by Korekiyo's. They cringed and glared at Kiyo. Kiyo, unlike Hifumi, didn't let the judging looks from his classmates to unnerve him. In fact, he actually relaxed in his chair, and even with his mask own his smile was visible.
"I'm just shocked you only watched, gimpy," Miu said.
"And I'm surprised you're maintaining a smile as your secret is exposed to us," Gundham commented. "It seems you're actually proud of yourself for it."
"I don't expect any of you to understand," Kiyo said. "My love for my sister is as pure as can be. I've simply haven't had the chance to truly embrace her."
"You never hug sister?" Gonta asked.
"Gonta, not now," Kirumi said.
"And if you're all still so disgusted, you should know historically, familial love has been a staple of many cultures royal class," Kiyo explained.
Mukuro leaned back in her seat as she faced Kiyo. "I'll say this from experience. If you have to kill for your sister's love, it was probably never there to begin with."
Taka coughed loud enough to gather everyone's attention. "Let's all just move on to the next secret."
Kokichi nodded as he opened up the fifth envelope. "Sakura's highest score in a martial arts tournament happened when she signed up for a men's division."
"Way to show those degenerates who's boss, Sakura!" Tenko cheered.
"Why did you even sign up for the men's division anyway?" Kaito asked. "I know you're big, but you couldn't be the only giant in the women's division, right?"
Sakura shook her head. "I had my own reasons for joining the men's division."
Sayaka looked at the giant girl. "Was it because of…it was Kenshiro, right?"
Sakura nodded. "He was the one originally scheduled to take part in the tournament, but the night before…his sickness finally took a hold on his physical strength. It was too late for him to opt out of the tournament. So…I posed as him the day of the fights."
"But…that's cheating, Ogami!" Taka protested.
"Well, that is still impressive," Nekomaru said. "Most women wouldn't be able to do what you accomplished.
Tenko opened her mouth to protest.
"Not now, Tenko," Sayaka said.
"Well, that was a bit dull," Kokichi said. He opened up the sixth envelope. "During her time as an Ultimate Despair, Peko killed over 10,000 people."
"So, I take it at least the grand majority of your class's secrets will relate to your time as an Ultimate Despair," Rantaro said.
"It seems to be that way," Peko said. "To be honest, I was hardly surprised when I read it. It only makes sense that she'd twist my skills for such dishonorable means."
"But it does prove that I was right to assign you as my bodyguard," Celestia smiled at the swordswoman.
"Yeah, I doubt she treats murdering a bunch of innocent people as a badge of honor," Leon said.
Celeste simply giggled at Leon.
Gundham crossed
"On to the next one," Kokichi said before opening the seventh envelope. "Before she became an Ultimate Despair, Mahiru covered up a murder."
Mahiru shook her head. "I don't ever remember doing that."
"Wait, she wasn't an Ultimate Despair when that happened?" asked Teruteru asked.
"That's what is says," Kokichi said as he flashed the secret to the rest of the group.
"My, my," Kiyo said. "I never would've imagined someone like Mahiru would do such a thing on her own."
"I promise, I don't remember doing that!" Mahiru said. "It has to be some sort of lie."
"Why would it be?" Angie asked. "For Monokuma reveal our darkest secrets only for yours to be a lie sounds silly to me."
Hearing Angie's reasoning, Hiyoko couldn't help but give a look of disappointment and resentment to the redheaded photographer. The glare didn't go unnoticed by Mahiru. Mahiru completely shut down in trying to defend herself. However, someone did come to her defense.
"No, Mahiru is telling the truth," Chiaki spoke up. "That was one of the memories that was erased during the rehabilitation program."
Everyone turned their attention to Chiaki.
"But…she did cover up a murder, right?" Kaito asked. "I mean, I did too, but it would help ease everyone's suspicions if we knew why."
Chiaki frowned and instinctively pulled her hood over her head. "She…did. During her first year at Hope's Peak, Mahiru was actually friends with a girl in the reserve course named, but another girl in the reserve course was bullying her. It was Natsumi Kuzuryu."
Peko's ear perked up at the mention of her master's little sister.
Chiaki continued. "Natsumi's aggressive attitude eventually pushed Sato to an extreme. Sato killed Natsumi and left. Mahiru found that body and took photos of it to confront Sato over it, but she would deny having any involvement in the murder and forced Mahiru to dispose of the evidence."
Mahiru had a depressed look her eyes as she listened to Chiaki. "Is that true?"
"Is that the story behind that Twilight Murder game?" Nekomaru asked.
Chiaki nodded.
"What happened after Mahiru destroyed the evidence?" Peko asked.
"Natsumi's brother eventually found out what Sato had done, and ordered his yakuza to kill her."
"So, it is true then?" Mahiru asked.
"Yes…I'm sorry, Mahiru," Chiaki said.
'It was like Monokuma wanted us to repeat that back on the island,' Mahiru thought to herself. 'Has everyone been tricking me? Even my own friends?'
Feeling that most of the drama juices have been squeezed out of that secret, Kokichi moved on to ripping open the next secret. "Awww, this is sad. Miu's just secretly lonely and wants attention."
"Th-that's such bullshit," Miu snapped as she looked away from the rest of the group. "Like I give a shit about wanting to be friends with the rest of you."
"Uh, didn't the secret just say you wanted attention?" Kaito asked.
"Oh, so she does want to be friends?" Tenko asked before smiling. "Aww, I always knew you were just being tough. Of course we can be friends, Miu."
"I said shut up, bitch!" Miu shouted. "Get your grabby hands away from me!"
Leon scooted over next to Miu. "Yo, if friends are a no go, how about a boyfriend?"
Miu blushed heavily. "Sh-shut up…"
"But she has me as company," Nagito said. "Granted, I'm pretty lousy company and even she knows it. She forces me to sleep on newspapers, I can't go to the bathroom, and I always have to carry stuff for her. It's a fair deal just to watch her work."
"Can we not get derailed every single time a secret is read?" Shinji asked.
"Ugh, fiiiine, be boring," Kokichi said as he began to open the next envelope. "Everyone here is such a spoil sport."
"Oma, now's not the time for games," Taka said loudly. "We most focus on the secrets."
Kokichi rolled his eyes as opened the next secret. "Are you so sure about that, Taka? Cause it says here that your grandpa was a corrupt politician."
"What politicians aren't though?" Mukuro asked.
Mondo looked over at his bro. "You never went too deep on that, bro…."
Taka sighed as he hung his head down. "My grandfather wasn't just a corrupt politician…he was the prime minister of Japan."
"Wh-what?" Kirumi gasped.
"Whaaaaaa?!" Ibuki gasped as well.
Sayaka paused as she thought the information over. "Wait…there was a prime minister with the name Ishimaru."
"Yes," Taka answered. "His name was Toranosuke Ishimaru. He had received praise due to all of his natural talent and intelligence. He faced no struggles as he made his way into office…but that made him arrogant. He felt he never had to do a hard day's work to continue to succeed. He felt he didn't need to even focus on his job. He gotten into gambling, and once the public found out about it…it tainted our family's name."
"That's…impossible," Kirumi muttered.
Taka received a few sympathetic looks from the group, mainly from his bro, Mondo. However, Taka wouldn't let the tale of his family's downfall to sway him. He stood tall and proud in front of the group.
"That's why I joined Hope's Peak," Taka said. "I needed to prove that natural talent is substitute for hard work! I would save my family's name!"
"Hell yeah, brother!" Mondo cheered.
Nekomaru clapped. "Incredible! That's the kind of determination we all need!"
"Not a bad speech," Tenko commented.
"Ok, ok, nice speech, but can we continue?" Kokichi asked. "These secrets are supposed to make you guys uncomfortable, not inspire you."
"Can we just take those secrets from him?" Mahiru asked.
Kokichi waved his finger. "Monokuma put me in charge of the secrets, so that's how it's going to be."
"Then just get on with it," Shinji said.
Kokichi opened the next envelope. "During his time as an Ultimate Despair, Gundham would round up hundreds of people into zoos to be mauled by tigers."
Instead of Gundham responding in a shocked, guilty, or sad manner, he remained cold and calm. In fact, it was Gundham's pet tiger cub, Kahn, who seemed shocked by his master's actions as he looked up at Gundham with big, wide eyes.
"I will admit, I have always had plans to rule this world with an iron fist," Gundham commented. "However, I would never use such brutal tactics to punish the innocent!"
"Yeah, like that calms us down any," Leon commented.
"And for that witch to use my connections with familiars to enact such a massacre," Gundham balled up his fists. "If only I had the chance to drag her to the pits of Hell myself."
"Man, looks like you've watched too many animes, kid," Kokichi said.
Hiyoko wanted to just leap in on the making fun of anime nerds train, but she glanced over at Hifumi. Considering he was her "ally," she kept quiet.
Gundham glared at Kokichi. "Best to keep your tongue still, snake! Otherwise, Mephisto shall squeeze the very life force from your lungs!"
"Nyehehe," Kokichi giggled. "Can't say you aren't funny, Gundham. I'll give you that."
Kokichi moved onto the next envelope and immediately grew a sinister smile as soon as he read the name. "Oooooh, Tenkoooooo~"
Tenko went pale. "Oh no…"
"You never told me you actually kissed a boy," Kokichi said.
Tenko slammed her hands against the table. "That's not true! He kissed me! It was harassment!"
Sayaka put her hand on Tenko's shoulder in an attempt to calm the raging girl down. "Tenko, calm down. Just tell us what happened."
Tenko sighed. "I had just gotten back into school after training with my sensei. I had this class with this guy who always partnered up with me during projects and class activities. He was actually really helpful. He let me copy his notes, he told a lot of funny jokes, he even shared some food with me. Well, one day after school, he stopped me on the way back home, and like a totally degenerate, he kissed me!"
Tenko shivered just recalling the incident. "It freaked me out! So, I tossed him to the ground and put him into an armbar!"
Sayaka frowned at the raven-haired girl. "Tenko, I think he just had a crush on you."
"Yeah, he didn't do anything wrong, really," Leon added on.
"He did it out of nowhere!" Tenko protested. "I was just defending myself!"
"He perhaps should have asked permission before hand," Sakura stated.
"You can't blame a guy for taking his shot, right?" Teruteru asked. 'Maybe I should try to do it on Celestia.'
"Is that why you're so easy around guys then, Tenko?" Kaito asked.
"No," Tenko said. "I've already seen plenty of bad males during my time training, but this was my first true encounter with a degenerate."
'Poor guy didn't know what hit him,' Kaito thought to himself.
"I'm sure you'll find a nice guy someday," Kokichi said.
"Shut…up," Tenko said.
Kokichi snickered before moving onto the next envelope. "Oh, now this one is just dull. Gonta went 10 years without wearing clothes."
Tenko rolled her eyes. "Ugh, such a degen-"
Sayaka nudged Tenko's arm to stop her.
"Sorry," Tenko muttered.
"Yeah," Kaito scratched the back of his head. "That's not too surprising considering how Gonta was raised."
"But Gonta wear clothes now!" Gonta said. "Gonta gentleman!"
"So, you're saying Gonta used to just run around bare naked?" Miu asked. "With…his toned abs dripping sweat? H-his nipples getting hard by the cold air as he moved around?"
"Jesus Christ, he was pretty much a kid during that!" Mondo gagged.
"I-I'm just imagining the last year he did it!" Miu said.
"That's still weird, man," Leon said.
"J-just shut up and get to the next one!"
Kokichi rolled his eyes he opened the next envelope. He raised an eyebrow at the next secret. "During her time as an Ultimate Despair, Hiyoko would lure people into stadiums under the illusion of a show only to have them slaughtered."
Hiyoko crossed her arms and let out a huff. "They were all probably pedophiles anyway."
"Yet, we must not fall to the level of such sad individuals," Angie preached. "Atua wishes for us all rise above the corruptions of the world."
Hiyoko listened to Angie, and as the artist spoke, Hiyoko's expression from irritation and anger to calm and understanding. She nodded at Angie in agreement.
Mahiru frowned as she watched.
"Well, on to the next one," Kokichi said before opening another secret note. "Oh yeah. Kirumi never got around to telling you guys about this, but she's the acting prime minister of Japan."
It took a moment for everyone to react to what Kokichi had said (outside of those who made it past the second trial in the Ultimate Academy). It was as if they didn't quite catch what exactly Kokichi said…. Then it all hit them at once.
"What?!" Taka gasped.
"Wait, that was the secret you were keeping from us?" Shinji asked.
"That…that can't be right," Sayaka said. "We would've known about a teenage maid being the prime minister. It would've been all over the news."
"Perhaps it could've happened after the Jabberwock Island killing game," Celestia said.
"But how could such a decision been made?" Taka asked. "A student shouldn't even have been able to be elected! Even if it was someone as dependable as Tojo!"
"It was not by election that I became the acting prime minister," Kirumi spoke up. "My skills as a maid had led me to become employed by several politicians and officers. It started off as simple housework and babysitting while they were away, but I was eventually asked to tutor them for public speeches and file their taxes. I had shown I was intelligent and cared about the people I served. Before I knew it, I was asked to be the maid for the prime minister."
"And he asked you to do his work for him?" Nagito asked.
"Not at first," Kirumi said. "I simply did what was expected from a maid. After a month though, I had been given the honor of acting as the shadow for the prime minister."
Celeste smiled at Kirumi. 'It seems I was right to hire her as my maid,' she thought. 'To think I'd be in control of someone with so much power and influence.'
"So, that's why you killed me then," Ryoma finally spoke up. "I guess I can't blame you for it. Having to look out for the whole country takes priority over my life."
"Ryoma, stop it," Kaede spoke up. "There's no reason to throw your life away."
"That's right," Sayaka added on. "If we're all going to make this our second chance, you should too."
"But if you do need to kill someone," Nagito spoke up before Miu yanked on his chain.
"Oh, no you don't!" Miu shouted. "I still need you to do shit for me."
Kirumi shook her head. "I agree with you that this should be my second chance and that I shouldn't let these concerns cloud my judgement. I…I will put off my duty to the country to focus on helping you all escape."
Kaito smiled brightly at the maid as he gave her a thumbs up. "That's awesome, Kirumi! Glad to have your help!"
Chiaki was puzzled by Kirumi's secret. 'It's not impossible to believe this could've happened after the Jabberwock Island killing game, but it would have taken some time to rebuild Japan to its original state. If only I could remember what happened after the fifth trial. I know Hajime had to beat Junko, but…'
Kokichi opened up yet another envelope. He immediately burst into laughter. "Leon hasn't seen a girl naked, but he's seen plenty of guys naked."
"Oh, come on!" Leon whined.
"HAHAHA!" Miu pointed mockingly at the redheaded baseball player. "I knew you baseball guys looked wearing tight pants and holding your balls, but seriously?!"
"I-it's just how locker rooms work!" Leon defended himself. "It's not like I was checking them out are anything!"
"Yeah, but that ain't the part that bothers you, is it?" Mondo smirked. "You have zero game, do you?"
"Shut up!" Leon shouted. "I do too! I've gotten a ton of chicks!"
"Please, the only chick you've ever hung out with is your mom," Hiyoko teased.
"Don't forget his cousin," Mukuro said with a slight smirk.
"You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself, Leon!" Nekomaru said. "The locker room is supposed to be a place of comfortability and bonding with your team."
"HA, GAY!" Miu laughed.
"Better that you're only around naked men instead of peeping on girls!" Tenko shouted.
'You know, I would point out that I've done a similar thing when changing with my band,' Sayaka thought to herself, 'but seeing Leon squirm…I can keep my mouth shut.'
"Ok, ok, I've had my fun," Kokichi said. "Time to move on."
Kokichi opened up the next envelope and quickly read the secret inside. "Shinji once disguised himself as a female model and nobody even noticed."
"Wait," Kaito spoke up, "that isn't a secret about when he was an Ultimate Despair?"
Kokichi double checked the secret. "Nope. It doesn't mention anything about that."
"B-but, this is hardly as bad as anything he could've as an Ultimate Despair," Chihiro said.
"IT IS TERRIBLE!" Tenko shouted. "Only a degenerate male would dress up like a girl to fulfill some sick perversion."
'Oooooh no,' Chihiro thought to herself.
"I can assure you that it wasn't some sort of…fetishistic desire," Shinji explained. "Unlike the rest of my classmates, I actually have memories of this event. Just before I was recruited by Hope's Peak, I was asked to fill in for someone. It was a model who was making headways for pushing body positivity and being a swimsuit model despite her own weight. However, she had injured her leg before her next photoshoot."
"Oh, I get it," Teruteru said. "So, you were asked to fill in…Honestly, I'm quite curious how you pulled it off."
"I'm not," Leon commented.
Shinji pinched the bridge of his nose. "It…wasn't my proudest moment."
"It seemed Monokuma chose to pick a more embarrassing secret for you rather than a secret you'd be willing to kill to keep hidden," Sakura said.
"It does go with Leon's, Miu's, and Gonta's," Kaede said.
"But Gonta not embarrassed," Gonta said.
"Moving on!" Kokichi interrupted before tearing open yet another envelope. "Oh. Now this explains a few things. The reason Ryoma slaughtered the mafia was because they killed his girlfriend."
Everyone turned to the small tennis player. While he had mostly remained quiet throughout the entire meeting, it seemed that was the time for him to finally speak up. Ryoma stood up in his seat, which thankfully he was short enough to do without risking recreating various internet clips of faceplants.
"I guess I got to talk about it now, huh?" Ryoma said. "Never really told it to anyone."
"Well, we're willing to listen," Kaito said.
Ryoma looked around the room to see people like Sayaka, Kaede, Chiaki, Taka, Angie, Mondo, and Rantaro all nod at him. If they were so willing to listen to Ryoma's tale, then he figured he might as well tell it.
"My success in tennis gained the attention of the mafia," Ryoma said. "They had their own underground sporting arena where they'd place their bets on matches. They dragged me into their circuit and forced me to play in their fixed matches. I'd play until one day, they told me to throw it for their new favorite player. But my pride wouldn't let me. I crushed him."
Ryoma then turned away from the rest of the group. "My stupid need to feed my ego got my family killed, and when they tried to hunt me down, they killed my girlfriend too…That's how I snapped."
"Shit, man," Mondo muttered under his breath.
Ryoma sat himself back down. "If there's one thing I've gained from all of this, it's knowing I'm not the only one who's screwed up."
"Yeah," Sayaka said hesitantly. "We all got a lot to make up for."
Kokichi nearly gagged at the "power of positivity" or whatever nonsense these peons spew out on a regular basis. Hoping to find something spice things up again, he tore open the next envelope.
"Here we go," Kokichi said. "During her time as an Ultimate Despair, Ibuki would used weaponized instruments to massacre people."
Ibuki frowned as she scratched the side of her head. "Yeaaaah. Ibuki isn't surprised Junko did that to me."
"You aren't?" Mukuro asked.
"Nope. Ibuki's made a flamethrower out of one of her guitars before."
"You did what?!" Leon asked. "Why would you do that?"
"Because it was cool!" Ibuki threw up the horns with her hands. "You aim it up in the air while jamming, it totally rocks!"
Leon opened his mouth, but paused as he thought it over. "You know what? You're not wrong."
"But Junko made Ibuki use it to kill people instead," Ibuki frowned again. "Music is for making people happy, to rock out!"
Mukuro sighed. "Is it too late to apologize for helping her?"
"Nope!" Ibuki immediately shifted to her usual bright smile.
"Wait, you're forgiving her that easily?" Miu asked. "What are you, retarded?!"
"Ibuki ain't stupid," Ibuki said as she stood proudly. "Ibuki can tell when people mean they're sorry. If anything, Ibuki needs to apologize to all the people she hurt."
Ryoma raised an eyebrow. "But they're all dead."
"So are we!" Ibuki said.
"Surprisingly, that's a fair point," Celestia said.
"Ugh, none of you guys are getting upset over these," Kokichi complained. "No wonder none of you are dead."
Kokichi decided to move on to the next secret. "Following Junko's death, an Ultimate Despair Nagito cut off his own hand and attached Junko's hand to his stump."
"Wh-what?!" Mikan shrieked. Just hearing about Nagito's self-mutilation made her face turn green and nearly gag.
"That's disgusting!" Mahiru yelled.
"What the hell isn't he willing to do to himself?!" Mondo asked
"Wait, you took Junko's hand?" Mukuro asked. "I know you guys practically worshipped her as an Ultimate Despair, but you were even willing to take her body parts?"
"That she-devil must have programmed that into our minds," Gundham said as the mere mention of Junko made his blood boil.
"She did," Chiaki answered.
While the discussion went on, Sayaka leaned over to get a better look at Nagito's hands. Despite what the secret said, neither of Nagito's hand looked feminine or even stitched on. They looked like they were simply the hands Nagito always had.
"But, it doesn't look like he has her hand now," Sayaka said.
Nagito looked down at his hands, while they didn't seem like either of them belonged to Junko like Sayaka said, he couldn't contain his rage. "It doesn't matter. To know that vile woman's flesh touched mine is enough to make me sick."
Nagito reached over to Teruteru's plate and snatched the knife away from him. Nagito raised it up into the air, ready to slam it down on his own hand.
"Wow!" Leon shouted.
"Waitwaitwait!" Ibuki waved her hands.
"What the hell, kid?!" Mondo yelled.
"Stop!" Kaito shouted.
However, before Nagito could get the chance to cut his own hand off, Miu yanked on his collar hard enough to pull him off his chain and onto the floor. Of course, he dropped the knife as soon as he fell. Teruteru immediately rushed over and snatched the knife away.
"The fuck is wrong you, Nagicuck?!" Miu shouted. "I can't have my fucking slave cut his own hand off!"
Nagito sighed. "I guess I'm stuck with this filth on me…I guess I am nothing but garbage now."
"Can we move on so this idiot doesn't try something stupid again?" Mondo asked.
"I was enjoying it," Kokichi said with a shrug. "But sure. Let's get a move on."
Kokichi opened up the next secret. "Mukuro has a crush on Makoto Naegi."
Sayaka's eyes widened and she turned to see that Mukuro's cheeks turned red.
"Man, this Makoto guy seems to have rotten luck with love interests," Kokichi snarked.
Despite Mukuro's clear embarrassment, she gave Kokichi her best look of murderous intent. "Shut up," she said.
"For a soldier," Sakura said, "that's a rather tame secret."
"It's actually kind of cute," Kaede said with a giggle. "Who would've guessed the big, bad, soldier girl had a schoolgirl crush."
Mukuro crossed her arms and gritted her teeth. "S-stop teasing me about it."
"But, seriously?" Leon asked. "Naegi? The kid's a dweeb. What's that got?"
"Well, he didn't kill someone," Sayaka muttered under her breath.
Mukuro stopped her grimacing as she thought back to her time at Hope's Peak, particularly when she interacted with Makoto. A small smile appeared across her face. "He…he was the first person who ever smiled at me…"
"Aww, that's super cute!" Kaede giggled.
"Ibuki demands more deets!" Ibuki said.
"M-maybe later…" Mukuro said.
Sayaka couldn't help but glare at Mukuro. "If you really cared about Makoto, you wouldn't have sided with Junko," Sayaka muttered.
Despite how quiet Sayaka tried to be, Mukuro actually shifted her eyes towards the idol. The soldier must've heard her since she couldn't help but frown as she looked away.
"Ugh," Kokichi groaned. "None of these are spicy anymore! I need some dark secrets!"
He tore up the next envelope. "HERE WE GO! As an Ultimate Despair, Teruteru cooked and ate his own mother."
Tears formed in Teruteru's eyes as he dropped his head against the table. He sobbed loudly. "MAMA!"
"Jesus," Mondo said as he watched the cook cry like a baby.
Everyone went quiet afterwards. Even taunting jerks like Miu, Hiyoko, and Celestia couldn't bring themselves to comment on the cook's misery. While most of the other Ultimate Despairs engaged in random acts of violence, Teruteru was forced to perform such a cruel act on some personal. It was as if Junko specifically chose for Teruteru to do that just in case he'd regain his memories to realize what he'd done.
"Why don't we just move on?" Kaito asked.
"But this a real spicy secret!" Kokichi whined.
"JUST DO IT!" Kaito snapped.
Kokichi was actually taken aback by Kaito's sudden outburst. "Fine. You guys are no fun away. Why don't I just blaze through these then?"
"Please do," Taka said.
Kokichi opened up three envelopes at once. "Kaito peaked in the girl's changing room at the Ultimate Academy-"
Tenko's eyes nearly erupted into flames. "HE DID WH-"
"Celestia actually lives in a second-floor apartment with her parents," Kokichi continued.
"That's her darkest secret?" Peko asked.
Celeste laughed. "Please, pay it no mind, Peko. There's more important things to focus on." 'And if any of you bring it up again, I'll fucking strangle you!'
"And Mondo had to ride a three wheeled motorbike during his first year as a biker," Kokichi continued.
"Ha, bitch," Miu laughed.
"Shut up!" Mondo snapped back, to which Miu immediately sank back into her chair.
Kokichi opened up the next envelope. "Sayaka has ruined three girls lives," Kokichi's eyebrow raised as his interest was peaked. "One, she crippled by tripping her down the stairs. The second, she burned her song pages. The third, she left drugged at a club."
Everyone turned their attention over towards the pop idol. Despite the promise she made to herself the previous night, she couldn't maintain her confidence. She averted her eyes from the group, hoping she could just imagine none of them had judging expressions, but rather empathetic looks.
"Did…did you really have to do that?" Tenko asked.
Sayaka sighed. "At the time…I thought I did."
"Is the idol industry really that cutthroat?" Kaede asked.
Sayaka nodded. "The idol industry, the music industry in general…I had to do a lot of bad things to just to even get opportunities to perform on small stages. I was told…I believed that if I wanted to be the top star, I had to tear everyone else down."
"What happened to the girl you tripped?" Taka asked solemnly.
"She broke her leg when she reached the end of the stairs," Sayaka said. "She recovered, but by the time she did, her chance to audition was long gone. I think she moved on to doing songs on Youtube."
"And the girl whose songs you burned?" Nekomaru asked.
"She got fired from her agency for failing to produce a new album on time," Sayaka answered. "Last I heard, she went to perform in a small pub."
"The girl you left in the canteen," Gundham spoke softly, "what became of her?"
Sayaka paused for a moment.
"I don't know," Sayaka answered. "I never checked."
"Well, now I'm even more interested," Kokichi said with a smile. "I knew there was a reason I wanted to keep my eye on you, and now I know. You got more of a killer instinct than you let on."
"Indeed, she does," Celeste commented.
"Can we move on?" Sayaka asked.
Leon furrowed his brow as he listened to the blue-haired girl. 'So, she was always a bitch…or was it the industry? Wait, what I have to have done stuff like that to be a rock star? The hell am I supposed to think of her now?'
"Fine, fine, we'll move on," Kokichi said before opening the next envelope. "Angie has had the inhabitants of her island donate a collective total of over 4000 gallons of blood."
"Nyahaha!" Angie laughed. "Is that all? I'm not sure Atua will be satisfied with just 4000."
"Y-you're not embarrassed…you're not ashamed of that?" Chihiro asked.
"Nope, it is simply the way Atua requires me to enact his will," Angie explained. "Such things as money and services are ideas we've placed imaginary value upon. Our bodies, our flesh and blood, those are the aspects of life that do have value. They are our identities while we spend our lives on this physical plane."
Hiyoko and Hifumi leaned forward as the listened to Angie's monologue. It was as if a wise monk was revealing to them the secrets of the universe itself.
Mahiru frowned, "Ok, but why did you need all the-"
"Moving on!" Kokichi opened up the next envelope. "Oh? Rantaro's talent is the Ultimate Survivor?"
"Wait, you do remember what your talent was?" Nagito asked.
"No," Rantaro shook his head as he rubbed his eyes. "I had no idea about it until I got that secret."
"B-b-but Rantaro also said that T-tsumugi's journal mentioned the concept of an Ultimate S-survivor," Mikan said.
"Really?" Taka raised an eyebrow. "What did it say?"
"It said," Rantaro paused to let out a yawn. "It said that the Ultimate Survivor title was given to those that had survived a killing game."
"But you didn't survive," Kaito said.
"No, it means he had to have gone through a killing game before he arrived at the Ultimate Academy," Celeste explained.
Shinji turned his attention to Mukuro. "Do you know anything about this?" he asked.
Mukuro shook her head. "Junko did have a killing set up before the Hope's Peak one, simply to test how things would work, but Rantaro was not in that."
"It seems Monokuma erased Rantaro's memories of his first killing game," Sakura stated.
"Moving on," Kokichi opened up the next envelope. "As an Ultimate Despair, Mikan tracked down Junko's corpse and…oh…had sex with it."
"EW!" Hiyoko gagged. "What the hell is wrong with you, Pigbarf?!"
Mikan nearly burst into tears, but Rantaro placed his hand on her shoulder.
"We all need to remember that this was when she was an Ultimate Despair," Rantaro explained. "She had no control herself and has no memory of it."
"Still," Mahiru cringed, "it's…a lot."
"It was simply what Junko had twisted Mikan into," Chiaki said. "An overzealous lover that would do anything for Junko. All of you were victims of her brainwashing."
Mikan sucked her tears back in as Rantaro's soft hand rubbed circles across her back.
"Speaking of Chiaki, it's your secret now!" Kokichi announced as he opened the envelope. "Chiaki isn't real. She's an artificial recreation of the real Chiaki Nanami."
"Wah, wha, whaaaaaaat?!" Ibuki gasped. "Chiaki's a robot?!"
"So, Chiaki is like Keebo then?" Kaede asked.
"Did the Future Foundation create you then?" Taka asked.
Chiaki sighed and crossed her arms. "I'm sorry I couldn't explain this sooner. I'm sorry I couldn't explain anything sooner, but it was the right choice."
"Explain yourself now then, specter!" Gundham commanded.
Chiaki nodded. "Yes, I was created by the Future Foundation. I was actually created from the same technology that Chihiro used to create her own AI. I was created to oversee you all because the Chiaki Nanami was a classmate of yours that you all a strong bond with."
"But then what happened to her?" Mahiru asked. "Why didn't Junko turn her into an Ultimate Despair like the rest of us?"
Chiaki frowned. "The real me wouldn't fall into despair or any of Junko's other manipulations. That made her a threat to Junko…"
"Junko had her killed," Mukuro finished the story. "Before Chiaki could escape the test killing game, she was killed by trap spikes…."
"So that just raises more questions," Shinji spoke up. "If there was another killing game, why wouldn't have those that died there appear here?"
"Plus, the implication that the Chiaki in front of us being an AI leads me to wonder," Celestia pondered out loud, "are we all in yet another simulation?"
"Maybe," Chiaki said.
"What the hell do you mean maybe?!" Mondo growled. "Shouldn't you know that?!"
"It's hard to explain," Chiaki responded. "But it's just how this environment feelings. It doesn't feel the same way as how the simulation of Jabberwock Island felt…I think…"
"Great, just more ambiguity," Nagito said
"We'll just have to investigate further," Taka said.
"Well, time to move on to the last secret," Kokichi announced before tearing open the envelope. As his eyes gazed upon the secret inside, Kokichi actually cocked his head to the side. "Huh. I didn't expect that."
"Why? What is it?" Kaito asked.
"It says here," Kokichi revealed the secret to the rest of the group, "Chihiro Fujisaki is a boy."
This is the longest chapter I ever had to do for the story. I wanted to get it done days ago, but not only was it a massive undertaking, but I also just had other things going out. I will admit, I'm not exactly proud of this one. There's plenty of good bits, but I feel like a lot of my vocabulary is too samey and due to trying to fit all of these secrets in and giving everyone time to shine, it felt like the pacing was off too.
Also, the secrets themselves weren't all the best. I wanted a variety in what kinds of secrets the characters had. Really bad stuff mixed with just stupid things people were embarrassed by. I didn't want to go too out of canon when doing them. I want this story to feel like it fit with the games' tone and canon. The most out there is probably Kaede's. She's never been confirmed as pan, but she's definitely acting sus at times in V3.
It was always the plan for this motive to fail this time. Can't always expect the same trick to work, Monokuma.
Also, I have two confessions to make. First, I feel like this may be the only large scale fanfic I work on. I have tried to do some Mortal Kombat ones and had hopes to do something with RWBY, but this story has taken so much of my focus and my desire to also work on my own original projects certainly killed those ideas. So, I will full dedicate my fanfic writing time to this tale. Second, I feel like I might need a proof-reader. Multiple times throughout this story, I had to double check if and when someone might have said one of my planned secrets and it did happen twice. So, yeah, there's that problem.
Anyways, I really want to try and get the next part out sooner. There's a lot of subplots cooking up that I'm sure you'll enjoy
