Dalton Castle hasn't had this bad of a birthday in a long time. He's without his Boys for the first time in years, and now he's in the Digiworld with Poromon hovering over him, the Boys kept far away from him by a frustrated looking Johnny TV. He looks longingly over at them, but Johnny TV shakes them roughly any time they glance his way, so eventually he looks away and focuses on his digivice, trying to protect them.
It's hard even to hear their voices and he closes his eyes, deciding ultimately to walk away enough to not have to deal with that too. He's just out of sight of the AEW and NXT Digidestined, finding it a little easier to breathe just with the distance, when his digivice thrums in his hand. He looks down at it, frowning. There's a message there, and he can tell already it's from Johnny TV. He swipes angrily, deleting it. He'll deal with him at the next ROH show, he will not let him get under his skin like this right now.
Still staring down viciously at his digivice, he grips Poromon close and marches off to find the cause of the blinking dot on his map. There's a rock wall that he wanders around to see past it, Poromon chirping worriedly in his arms. "It's ok," he says soothingly to his partner. "We're just taking a look, then we'll go back and tell the others what's going on."
Except that as soon as he turns the corner, he comes face to face with a digimon standing over a partially crumbled wall, angrily smashing it further into the ground with supersonic waves issuing from its mouth, wings fluttering in the blowback from the attack.
Poromon's worried sounds grow in intensity and Dalton cringes, holding him closer as the digimon stares at them coldly. "Human," she spits, then hesitates. "Digidestined." Her tone somehow sounds more disgusted now than earlier, and Dalton stumbles back, trying to find his way back around to the digidestined he'd left behind. She stalks him, however, and he exhales shakily as wind picks up, pinning him against the wall. "You're not going anywhere," she says, walking up to him and pressing a wing against Poromon's vulnerable body, examining him.
"What do you hope to accomplish by doing this?" he wonders, trying not to appear too scared or worried as the digimon steps even closer to him, examining him coolly.
"It's obvious, isn't it?" she wonders, shifting to rest her feathers against Dalton's throat. "I may not be strong enough to eliminate you all, but even getting rid of one of you would make me happy." She stares at him. "You were just the unfortunate one who I get to start with."
Her smirk is horrible, leaves him pressing back against the rock in an attempt to put space between them. "That won't do anything for you," he says. "You may get rid of a couple of us, but there are too many of us for you to survive."
"I don't care," she says. "You think I'm alone in this?" Her face grows somehow uglier as she laughs at him. "You digidestined are in for a world of hurt. There are so many of us who want to get rid of you. You will regret invading our world." Before Dalton could argue this, or say anything, she lunges forward and pins him down with even harsher winds, tearing through his clothes and slicing into his skin.
He cries out and drops Poromon, struggling to breathe through the sudden flood of agony.
