"Wendy's injured," Thea muses. "Feels like we're dropping more and more people again."

"We'll be fine," Duke says dismissively, glancing around at the bleak wasteland surrounding them. "So this is the Dark Ocean. It doesn't look that impressive so far."

Jensen frowns at him. "Famous last words," he says.

"You paranoid, kid?" Duke scoffs back at him.

"Anyone with common sense would be," Briggs says, frowning over at Duke. "Look around you."

"I'm lookin'," Duke says. "A grey ass beach. How frightening."

"We're here for a reason," Kiana says, resting a sympathetic hand on Jensen's shoulder. "To save Dolph Ziggler. i'd assume if this place was as innocent as you think it is, no one would need rescued. He'd just find his own way home, right?"

"Whatever," Duke says while rolling his eyes. "Let's get this over with." He storms forward, leaving the others behind floundering.

"Sorry," Thea tells them before chasing after him. Andre glances back with a grimace of his own before following his students.

"Idiots," Kiana huffs, brushing her fingers through her hair in frustration. "I suppose we shouldn't get separated though."

"Yeah, come on," Jensen says, resting a hand on her back. She offers him a weak smile before leading the way, Briggs and Fallon exchanging a suspicious glance before following them through.

They've just turned towards the ocean in time to see a monstrous tentacle raise from the water and slap down on where Duke had just walked.

"DUKE!" Thea cries out, the sand slamming up around them and making them all choke, struggling to see. "DUKE!"
