As Karasuma had predicted, not much more happened that night. Okano had tried to sneak into the building, but after losing half of their alliance, Isogai, Maehara and Sugino had chosen shelter into the storage room while sleeping in shifts, making a surprise attack impossible. Eventually, the gymnast had backed off and returned to her makeshift camp in the trees.

The next morning, Kurahashi was the first one awake, woken up by the chirping of the crickets as she and Yada had slept under some bushes near a field at the foot of the mountain. Using a flashlight and spray paint, Kurahashi even had done a quick paint job on their sleeping bags to camouflage them.

"Yada? Yada, wake up," The girl whispered as she gave her best friend soft, but firm nudges.

"Hmmhh…" The other girl slowly awoke and rose up from her sleeping bag, a lock of her now loose hair in her mouth, "What time is it?"

"Waking up service Ritsu at your service," Sounded from her phone. "It is currently 7am, which means there's a max of 29 hours left on the clock."

"Thanks, Ritsu." Yada said as she got dressed, putting her assault vest and gloves back on and making her hair into her trademark ponytail.

"What about participant numbers?" Kurahashi asked. The orange-haired girl was already dressed and was folding up her sleeping bag before stashing it away. Even though their infiltration raid from the night before had not gone as planned, both of them had managed to escape with enough equipment and food to make it through the game.

"Right, let me update you on the current participants," Ritsu answered before showing a list of dead and alive people, "Aside from you two, only 10 other people remain."

"I see, it seems poor Meg didn't survive the battle against Isogai and the others." Yada sighed.

" Hey, cheer up," Kurahashi smiled, "Many dangerous people are already out. Let's make sure one of us wins it for the team."

"You're right," Yada responded, "And I know who to go after next…"

"Holy crap, last night was seriously rough!"

"Yeah, a victim increase of 66%. I think it's a good thing we decided to stay put."

Fuwa and Okuda were looking at their phone, getting an update from Ritsu. Unlike the other girl alliance and the boys building, their night had been rather unpleasant as they had to sleep in nothing but their battle gear.

"We still got about 29 hours on the clock," Okuda spoke up, "What should we do?"

"For now, we should play it safe," Fuwa answered. Most of our remaining classmates beat us in close combat, and we haven't got any long-range weapons. I suppose we can try ambush tactics, maybe even try to build some traps."

"Sounds good," Okuda smiled with excitement in her voice, "In that case, I can even try to create something useful using my chemistry skills."

"There it is. Attagirl." Fuwa smiled.

It was already past 8am by the time Nagisa woke up. He had spent the night in his little cave and turned off his phone out fear of someone hearing him. Like his classmates, he was astounded by how many people didn't survive the night.

"I suppose I should get out there, at least find something to eat."

Just as he crawled out of his cave, he heard a rhythmic sound. definitely footsteps nearing his cave. If they came in, they'd definitely find him. which means he had no choice.

He grabbed a few of his shurikens and clenched them between his fingers. It was very crude, but if he managed to get a hit in, it'd count as a kill.

Suddenly, the footsteps stopped.

"Hell…?"

Before the person outside could finish, Nagisa jumped out and tackled them. The pair rolled over the damp forest floor and ended up holding on to each others armed hand with Nagisa on top, as he was looking in the golden brown eyes of…

"Kayano?!"

"Nagisa?" Kayano looked back at him with a visible blush.

The boy instinctively got off of her, dropping his weapons.

"I…I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you."

"That's alright," Kayano smiled, "I've seen worse last night."

"Excuse me?"

"Oh, nothing," The girl chuckled, "So, did you still want to kill me?"

"Right," Nagisa said as he looked at a shuriken, "Honestly, it doesn't really feel right anymore. If it's okay with you, I'd rather team up for now." He smiled.

"I… Uh… Sure. I don't mind," The girl responded, "I was paired up with Kanzaki earlier, but sadly she's out of the game.

"Yeah, I noticed. What happened to her?"

"Taken out by Hazama in the dark. It was honestly terrifying."

"Heh, sounds like her alright."

"Well well, seems Kayano is shooting her shot."

"Hmmm, is the show back on?"

Karma walked past the divider, carefully avoiding the still sleeping girls and plopped down next to Nakamura, who was already watching the continuation of the game on Ritsu.

"Good morning children."

Korosensei walked in as well, wearing pajamas and accompanying headwear.

"Morning teach," Karma grinned, "Had a good night's sleep?"

"Nurufufu, sure did," Korosensei answered changing into his human disguise, "Now, while I appreciate your enthusiasm, I feel we should follow the progress with the whole class. So how about you guys wake up your classmates while I go fetch us some breakfast?"

"Sounds good," Nakamura answered as Korosensei flew out the window. While the blonde girl shook the other five girls awake, a cacophony of groaning and cursing came from the other side of the divider.

"Aye, don't step on me!"

"Dude, what's your problem?"

"Grhmm, why so soon?"

"I'm already awake, asshole! Stop kicking me!"

"Guess you wouldn't want Karma as an alarm clock…" Kataoka spoke up as she stretched her body and fixed her hair.

"All awake," Karma said as he reappeared with an evil smile.

"Dude, you're such a sadist," Yoshida grumbled rubbing his head, "I think the girls would have it better if they were woken up by Okajima."

"I… honestly doubt that." Hayami responded as she put in her twin tails.

Before anyone could react, the door slammed open and Irina walked in, still wearing a translucent nightgown over her undergarments.

"Aaargh! Can you believe that square?!"

"Morning professor Bitch," Kanzaki smiled as she brushed her hair, "What's the matter?"

"It's the square again. He gets a chance to spend the night with a gorgeous babe in the teachers lounge, but he ditched and spent the night in his goddamn car!"

"Seriously? he went all the way down just to avoid you? That must seriously sting." Sugaya grinned.

"Don't patronize me, brat!"

"Anyway, what's going on in the game?" Kimura asked as he checked the screen.

"Not much really," Nakamura answered, "Nagisa and Kayano were rolling around in the grass and paired up, but that's about it."

"Nurufufu, really now?" Korosensei asked as he took some notes in his gossip diary, "By the way, miss Irina, that's a lovely piece of sleepwear."

"Ah, shut your piehole!" Irina shouted as she stomped off back to the teachers lounge.

"Morning Korosensei," Kataoka spoke up.

"Good morning class," Korosensei said as he unpacked breakfast for everyone, "Ready for another day of watching the game? I also saw mr. Karasuma climbing the mountain on my way here, so he should be here soon."

"Sounds good."

"Dude, 500 yen says the next person to die is one of the girls."

"You're on!"

"Achoo!"

"Dude, you okay?"

"I'm fine. It's just that I'm a bit more prone to the cold ever since I got my tentacles removed."

"I get ya. Tonight was seriously cold. Wish we'd gotten our hands on some sleeping gear."

Okajima and Itona were walking through the forest. Itona was armed with a crossbow, while Okajima was holding a large lance.

"I wonder where the others are," Itona spoke up, "I know there's only 12 of us left, but still…"

"Shh! Over there!," Okajima said as he shushed Itona before pointing higher up the mountain, where a lone girl was sneaking around.

"It's Yada! Let's get her! She can't take on both of us!"

"Sounds good," Itona responded, "Just be careful, she might be armed with a long range weapon."

The two snuck closer, but when they reached up to 20 meters from her and Itona started to aim, she turned around and saw them.

"dammit!" She shouted before running away.

"After her!" Okajima shouted, as he and Itona started giving chase. The pervert knew it was a matter of time before they'd catch up to her.

WHAM!

Okajima turned around, seeing Itona flat on the ground.

"Dude, you good?!"

"I'm fine," The silver-haired boy answered, "Keep going before she gets away! I'll catch up"

"Running after busty girls? Story of my life, buddy!" Okajima grinned before continuing the chase.

When Itona tried to get up, he noticed his feet were tangled in rope. Odd, he thought as he got himself free. There had been no rope when Okajima passed by. One end was tied to a tree, but the other end ran a bit further in the woods. He noticed a sleeping bag covered in camouflage paint dirt on the ground and as he looked further into the forest, he saw a flash of orange disappear between the trees.

"Dammit," Itona said, "We've been had."

Meanwhile, Itona had almost caught Yada, when she suddenly fell and landed hard on the ground with a yelp, clenching her leg.

"Damn, these roads are dangerous," Okajima said as he pointed his lance at her, "Sorry Yada, seems this is the end of the line for you."

"Wait please!" Yada shouted as tears were blinking in her eyes, "I think I seriously sprained my ankle. I can't walk back like this."

"Tsk tsk," Okajima sighed, "What am I to do with you? If you surrender nicely, I'm happy to walk you back." He squatted down and held out his hand.

A mischievous glint of bloodlust glanced in the girls' eyes. Suddenly, the end of a whip was wrapped around Okajima's neck. The busty girl pulled him forward, slipping from under him and quickly getting up before placing her boot on his back to keep him down.

"What the?! That was a trick?!"

"Yup, straight from professor bitches' book," Yada winked before pulling out her kunai and giving him a lethal jab, "She also gave a couple of lessons on how to use a whip against Korosensei, so I couldn't resist trying it out in this game."

The girl let go of him, quickly running off in the woods.

"That's kinda hot…" Okajima groaned as he did a thumbs up.

"Clever girls," Irina commented, "Those are my pupils."

"Indeed," Karasuma nodded, "Both yada and Kurahashi are good with knives, but close combat against those boys would be quite the challenge. Splitting them up was certainly the better call."

"And such splendid use of their talents," Korosensei added, "Kurahashi's talent for natural colors and art and Yada's manipulation tactics served as fine blades."

"That being said, It is Okajima." Kataoka smiled awkwardly.

"True, not sure anyone else would've fallen for Yada's facade so easily," Nakamura grinned, "Except maybe Maehara."

"Maybe even Isogai. He'd easily put his classmates' safety over the game."

"He's prince charming!"

"Man, this is so boring."

"I know, but this is our best bet. Hold down the fort and we can easily make it until the gladiator fight."

Isogai, Maehara and Sugino were sitting near the entrance of the building.

"Those girls managed to snatch a lot of our stuff," Maeahara sighed, "We can try to pack up the remaining goods and move around to catch some stragglers."

"That wouldn't work," Isogai responded,"We'd be packed like mules and easy prey."

"I know, but still," The womanizer sighed again, "It's been hours and nothing has happened save for Okajima getting killed earlier."

"True, even if he didn't look too bothered by it," Sugino smiled, "Hold on, what's that?"

Suddenly, a small object appeared over the treeline, flying towards the boys.

"This can't be good," Isogai shouted, "Everyone get back!"

The boys scattered as a bag landed between them, bursting open into a cloud of smoke that quickly surrounded them.

"What the? A smoke bomb?"

"It stings so bad! They put something in there!"

"It came from over there!" Maehara shouted as he ran of into the woods.

"Come back, Maehara! It's too dangerous!" Isogai yelled after him as he was wiping stinging tears from his eyes, but the womanizer didn't listen to him.

Sugino crawled out of the smoke, his vision vague and blurry. But from the corner of his eye he saw a figure running the field, getting on their knees and digging in the dirt. Throwing a paint grenade wouldn't work with his current vision, so the baseballer opted for close combat, charging them with a baseball bat.

As Sugino reached the figure, he swung his bat, hitting something resembling a round shield that they pulled out of the dirt and instinctively used to protect themselves.

"Oh well," Fuwa sighed, "C'est la vie."

SPLAT!

The paint mine the girl was holding exploded, killing both her and Sugino in a colorful blast.

Meanwhile, Maehara arrived in the spot where the smoke bomb was launched, where he noticed rope hanging from a few young bendable trees.

"Dammit, they must've used those as catapults."

Hearing rustling behind him, the boy ducked as the end of a staff shot out of the bushes and nearly hit him, followed by Okuda who was holding the weapon.

"Ah! I missed!" The girl shouted panicked.

"Yes you did!" Maehara shouted as he took hold of the staff, using his body weight to push her back and quickly striking her with his saber.

"Nice job, Okuda," Maehara smiled, "You really got the drop on us the…"

But before the boy could finish, an all too familiar feeling struck him hard in the face, launching him backwards before a heavy weight landed on his chest.

"And it seems I got the drop on you," Okano grinned as she quickly finished the womanizer.

"Okano!" Okuda shouted, "Where did you come from?"

"I've been hanging around," The gymnast smiled, "Truth be told, I was gonna take you and Fuwa out earlier, but I heard you talking about taking down Maehara and the other boys using the mines, so I decided to wait and see. Good job on the chili bombs, by the way."

"T…thanks," Okuda smiled flattered, "We came across a crate of spices and some other stuff I could use to make them."

"Nice work," Okano answered, "Anyway, I should go before the others catch me. Toodles!"

Before either Maehara or Okano could say anything else, the gymnast had already run off again.

"Damn, she's scarily good at this…" Maehara groaned.

"Did you hear that? Another 4 fireworks!"

"That means there's only 7 of us left."

Nagisa and Kayano had settled in a hidden crevice that looked out over the pool.

"I bet something happened around the school building again," Kayano spoke up, "That place has been a hotspot for battles since the start of the games."

"You're probably right," Nagisa responded, "Let's go check it out. Maybe we can take out some of the stragglers or find some more items."

The boy slipped out of their hiding hole, but suddenly a crossbow bolt nearly hit him. As he stumbled back, the blue-haired boy slipped and rolled off the cliff and into the pool with a loud splash.

"Nagisa!" Kayano shouted, as she looked in the direction the bolt came from, noticing Itona as he finished reloading on the other side of the pool.

"I figured someone would try a stakeout here," Itona spoke up, "Plus I recall the hiding spots from back when Shiro used me for the pool trap."

Nagisa came back to the surface, coughing and disoriented.

"Nagisa, look out!" Kayano yelled as she jumped down to stop Itona, but it was too late. The blue haired boy was unable to get out of the water in time and was hit in the shoulder by the second bolt.

"Dammit!"

Kayano ran around the water with drawn blade, but by the time she had reached him, the silver-haired boy had dropped his crossbow and pulled out a set of batons.

"You sure you want to do this?" Itona asked, "Just like you, I have retained my kinetic vision, and I'm stronger than you."

"You bet!" The green-haired girl responded as she went on the attack.

The two started dueling, but Kayano realized Itona was right. The boy was slowly forcing her back, nearly pushing her towards the pool a few times. As she couldn't swim, this would be the end for her. Unless…

Moving backwards, the girl took a sudden jump backwards over the corner of the pool, creating distance between them as she reached into her backpocket and swung her arm forward.

As Kayano landed on the other side, Itona was standing still. Between his eyes flowed a trail of paint, with the shuriken Kayano had thrown at him on the ground in front of him.

"Seems like you got me," The boy sighed, "I didn't expect that for a second blade."

"It was a lucky shot," Kayano chuckled as she glanced at Nagisa, who had crawled out of the pool and was pouring water out of his boots.

"besides, it was Nagisa who was willing to share his blade with me."

"Damn, people are dropping like flies out there."

"Yeah, seems even top assassin Nagisa bit the dust."

"Guess Korosensei's not the only one weak to water."

The whole class had once again settled on the platform outside (through the window, as Okuda's homemade teargas had still been lingering) and was eating lunch provided by Korosensei.

"So with Itona and Nagisa taken out, that leaves how many people?" Sugaya asked.

"Only 5," Kanzaki answered, "Kayano and Okano are now wandering on their own, Isogai is the last one standing of the initial big team, and Yada and Kurahashi seem to play it safe by using hit-and-run tactics."

"Indeed," Karasuma nodded, "From the remaining cast, Isogai would have the best chance if everyone manages to stake out until the gladiator fight. So the girls should try and stay vigilant if they want to win this."

'True," Maehara spoke up, holding an ice pack to his face where Okano had hit him, "None of the remaining girls have a chance against him in close combat, except maybe Okano if she gets the drop on him."

"Nurufufu, that's why these games are so exciting," Korosensei chuckled, "Close combat is only a small fraction of the kills in his fight, just as in actual assassination."

"Ever the teacher, eh?" Karma spoke up.

"Nurufufu, of course. In every experience, there are lessons to be learned."
