Before you start, I have something to say! Yes me, the author or Sadie. First off, I, Unfortunately, Do not own Gilmore Girls. two, this is one of the first fanfics I've ever written, so go easy on me! But I appreciate the reviews
Three, the start to this was not written by me. It was an idea that they (the OG author) never finished so I am finishing it for them.
Anyway, I'm done. Byeeeee!
Lorelai didn't want to go home, she was sad. Alex told her he loved her three nights ago, She said he loved him too. And at dinner that night, he broke up with her. All she heard was "give our marriage a second chance" and "for the kids"
She saw she was near Luke's, so she sat on the front step. She burst into tears. Luke was inside, he saw her out there, crying. He was confused, but he wondered what was going on. Luke opened the door.
"Lorelai?" he said
"Yeah?" Lorelai sobbed,
"Umm, do you want to come in?"
After 20 seconds of awkward silence,
"Yeah.." She finally said, sniffling
He helped her up and they sat at a table inside
"Alex broke up with me.." She said, looking down, he could tell she was holding back more tears.
" Why?!" He said, as he got up to get her coffee.
"He said he wanted to 'give his marriage a second chance' or something like that, he said something about the kids too, I don't think he really loved me, and I'm SO stupid for telling him I loved him, especially since I love someone else." She loved Luke.. She looked up, wondering if he knew.
"Max?" He asked, it kind of pained him to ask, but he thought she could never like him.
"What?"
"You said you loved someone else, it's max."
"No luke, it's not. But A) The person I love would never love me back and B) I am too scared to tell him, "I know I love him, I just can't feel it."
"Well," He began, "I love someone too. But we're numb to love, Because Lorelai, Love sucks."
"Huh, yeah.. I guess." Lorelai looked right back down onto the table,
"The girl I love is smart and pretty, and she is just really- I don't know, but she's amazing" Luke smiled at Lorelai, causing Lorelai to smile back. It was strange, Lorelai had never heard Luke talk about somebody that way before, almost like it was too sweet.
"I'm sorry to lay all my problems on you, it's probably too much." Lorelai grabbed her bag and stood up,
"No it's fine, I invited you in, if anything it would be my fault." Luke smiled, Making Lorelai 10 times more calm.
"Who is it?" Lorelai asked, staring into Luke's gleaming eyes.
"What?"
"Who is it? Who do you love?" Luke didn't even hesitate, but he didn't mean to say it.
"You." Luke suddenly realized what he said, and he quickly tried to leave,
"I'm gonna g-g-go upstairs," He was visibly nervous, shaking and stuttering. Lorelai thought he no reason to be, when people told her he liked her, she simply brushed it off. No way he even found her attractive. But maybe that had changed.
"Luke, wait." Luke could tell she was serious. He was still basically shaking, scared of what she had to say. He just wanted this to be over.
"Yeah?"
-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-
"What did you say?" Lorelai asked, serious but smiling.
"I-Uh-I," Was all Luke could get out,
"Well?" Lorelai said, a little impatient but still smiling and extremely happy.
"I- I'm sorry.." Luke said, staring at his shoes. He did that when he was nervous, Lorelai knew that.
Luke was super nervous, he had always wanted to tell Lorelai he felt something for her. But he wasn't sure she felt the same, he wasn't afraid of rejection, but he was afraid of losing his friendship with Lorelai.
"Sorry for what?" Lorelai said, trying to make him look at her.
"For what I just said.." He was still, shaking, still staring at his shoes, still terrified at what she was going to say.
"You don't have to be sorry! You worry too much, George Costanza." Lorelai was smiling, it was getting rid of Luke's terror. He was very scared.
Sorry I stopped it here, but I cannot stand one-shots/short stories so I'm stopping it there. Anyways, see ya in the next chapter!
