Purple is still partially shaking when the stage fire goes down and the concert comes to a close.
Applauds ring out, and Purple can only take a glance at his friends before looking at King.
Who promptly looks like he's having an internal panic attack.
He couldn't blame him. Green had created an entire barrage of notes with the staff King had used months ago to destroy Minecraft in it's entirety.
No wonder King was just staring in silence.
"...King? Y-You okay?"
Purple hesitantly reached a hand out to him, flinching when King did grab it, holding it tight.
"King, it's okay. We're not there anymore, we're okay. Okay?"
King's grip tightens slightly. "...We're...We're okay..."
Purple gives him a reassuring smile before turning his attention back to the stage. The four in front look so happy, congratulating themselves like the entire stage wasn't on fire. Green stood up, marched right past them and ran offstage. Purple could tell he was pissed.
"I-I'm gonna go and check on Green. You gonna be okay?"
King's grip tightened a little more before loosening. "I'll be fine, kid. You go check on your friends. I'll meet you outside."
Purple nods, giving him a brief hug(King returns it the best he can, which Purple is grateful for) and a smile before running down from their VIP seats and racing backstage to meet the others.
The others are crowded around a door backstage, calling out for their friend, which Purple can assume is either a storage closet or something else.
Purple takes the former theory and calls it a storage closet, and approaches the others so quietly, all four of them jump in shock when they turn and see him.
Purple moves past all of them, double checking that it's unlocked before stepping inside, closing the door behind him.
The others do not follow him. It doesn't surprise him. Whatever's going on with Green, he doesn't want the Color Gang involved.
Green's probably pissed at them more than he is at the silverfish.
Purple is also upset with them, for not helping Green when he needed them,
"G-Green? Are you in here?" Purple calls out, not seeing much of anything around him besides basic storage closet contents. It's deathly silent in there as well, which scares him even more.
Purple hates when places go dead silent. They're never good.
"Green? It's Purple. I was worried about you, a-and I wanted to make sure you were alright."
A sound from way in the back of the room startles him. Purple takes a few hesitant steps before something crashes into him.
"Green?"
It is Green. He's holding onto Purple's sweater, balling his hands into fists as he clutches onto the fabric. His own outfit is covered in dust, the sleeves damp with tears.
"Green, it's okay..."
Slowly, trying not to make Green feel even worse, Purple lowers them both to the ground, carding his hand through Green's hair.
"It's okay, it's okay, your okay.."
Finally, Green starts ranting.
"I worked so hard for this, I went through all of that-rehearsals, building, sending out the invites, everything, and the Silverfish ruined it, a-and the others did NOTHING to stop it! How is starting a rock concert, o-or letting th-them attack me HELPING?!"
Purple flinched as Green's voice raised in pitch, but pushed it down, instead tightening his grip on his friend.
"You can come back with me, if you want."
Green stared up at him, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Y-You don't have to, but I think you could use the space from the others for a while. I'm sure King would understand it, too, as much as he probably sees you as competition."
That got a small giggle out of his distressed friend.
"Thanks, Purp."
Purple gives him a smile, like the one he gave to King earlier, and pulls them both up. The commotion around the door has stopped, so Purple can assume, and he later confirms, that the others have left.
Purple glances around at the audience leaving, and Green points to a door backstage that Purple can only assume leads them outside.
It does, and Purple rounds the corner, finally spotting King farther from the crowd. Purple waves at him to get his attention, and King waves back, either not noticing Green or not caring much that he's following behind Purple.
He can understand the feeling.
"C'mon, Green. Let's get you out of here." Purple tells him, leading Green away from the theatre and towards King, keeping his attention away from the earlier events by telling him about some of his recent adventures.
Green listens intently, his mood improving with each story.
