Second watches in genuine shock as Green unleashes a barrage of notes from the staff.
He knows Mango is up there somewhere, probably regretting giving them the staff in the first place.
He wouldn't blame him.
There's fore all around them, and Second knows the place is going to go down.
It's only a matter of time.
Then the giant Silverfish statue comes down, and the aftermath is much bigger than he thought it would be.
The ground shakes beneath him, and Second's eyes draw themselves upwards to the roof.
Blue screams, "THE ROOF IS GONNA FALL!" And the entire theatre descends into chaos. Numerous members of their audience begin running for the doors, and second starts shouting at the others to start mining to get Green out of there.
He briefly watches Purple jump down from where they and Mango were seated, pickaxe in hand, and join them. It doesn't surprise him: Green and Purple were close.
Mango starts climbing down to get them all off the stage, before another scream sounds from Blue.
This time, it's a scream of genuine fear, and more blocks fall from around them.
A cold chill rains down on them, and Second barely has enough time to react and cover his head before Purple tackles him to the ground as the roof caves in on itself, falling onto them.
"Hello?! Hello?! Is there anyone her-" Rubble falls.
Mango can vividly recognize Red's panicked voice as he himself pushes stuff out of his way. The place still smells strongly of smoke, but Mango pushes that thought away.
He needs to find Purple. They hate tight spaces like...all of this.
Frankly, so did Second...and probably all of them. Hence, Red's pure fear.
"HELLO?!"
"Red! Calm down, it's me! Where are you?!"
Mango immediately starts imbing over rubble towards the voice, pushing anything and everything out of his way, and watching for others.
"Red! Tell me where you are!" Mango shouts again, his voice becoming even more laced with panic.
Come on, Red.
Finally, Red shouts again. Closer. "Over here!"
It's barely a few feet away from him, so Mango makes the small trek over and moves just enough rubble away where he can pull Red out of it.
Red sucks in several deep breaths to calm down the shaking nerves Mango can clearly feel.
"Calm down, kid, your safe now." Mango comforts him. When Red is finally calm, he asks, "Do you know where Purple is?"
Red thinks for a moment before he responds. "They...they tackled Second, a-and then-"
"Did you see where they landed?" Mango's panic rises even more.
Red shakes hisbhead, and stands up and leaves, calling out for Second as he goes.
Mango watches him before turning his attention to the other three, Blue, Yellow, and Green, pull each other out of the rubble.
Mango instinctively runs towards them. "Has anybody seen Purple?!"
Green's eyes go wide with panic. "W-What?"
"They pushed Second out of the way, and now we can't find the-"
"Where's Second?" Green asks. He can still be upset all he wants, but Purple's in trouble and Second's hopefully with them.
"...A little to the left?" Blue points over at Second climbing out of the rubble around him.
"Second!" Blue shouts. Second stares at them, a panicked look in his eyes.
"They...They're..." Second struggles to find the right words. "...They won't wake up..."
Mango and Green share horrified glances as Second pulls Purple out of the rubble, and the entire group erupts into chaos.
"Purple!"
Blue, Yellow, and Red echo Green's sentiments as they all crowd around Second, a panicked bundle of colored sticks around Purple.
Mango can only stand there.
"No...no, no, no...please, no..."
"HELLO?! GREEN?! MANGO?! ANYBODY?!"
Purple can't hear, see, or feel anything, and it scares them more than anything.
They're scared.
Are they dead?
Did Green's concert go so badly, it killed them?
"GREEN!" Purple shouts again. "DAD!"
Purple continues walking through the void, calling, screaming, they need to find their friends.
They need to.
Purple feels their shaking. Hot tears stream down their cheeks, their chest tightens up, and they soon realize how hard it is to breathe.
They can't breathe. It feels horrible. They cough, almost think they're being choked when it comes out gasped.
Their throat feels dry. They need water. They can't breathe, they're almost choking.
Purple sinks to their knees, crying and screaming as they try and catch their breath. It's so hard, and they can't take this they need Mango because Mango will make everything feel better because he loves them and wants them to be happy and-
A soft melody fills the area. Purple doesn't recognize it as their own, but it's soft and comforting, and Purple can't help but glance around.
A part of them starts to feel safer hearing it. It sounds like Green, and it feels nice. The years keep flowing, but Purple doesn't care. They continue looking around, letting their own separate singing voice communicate back.
As futile as it is. They know Green can't hear them.
"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" They hear Yellow shout.
"Come on, Purple! Wake up!"
"Can you hear us?!"
Green's speaking voice fills the area. "Please, Purple, wake up! I can't lose you! Not after today! Please! Please wake up!"
Green's voice falters, breaks. They need ti listen to him.
They need to get back to Green. To everyone. To Mango.
Wake up wake up WAKE UP-
Purple gasps, shooting themselves into a sitting position as they gasp for air. The five colorful bundle of sticks crowd around them, trying to get them to speak.
Green's eyes whip up and meet Mango's. He moves from the group and drags Mango over to them. Purple glances at Green's absence before realizing who he's brought over.
Yellow pulls Purple up so they can hug Mango, who doesn't hesitate to hug them back. His hands card through Purple's hair, providing little comfort as Purple's sobs grow harder.
"I'm here, Purple, I'm here, your okay, your okay, it's okay, it's okay. I'm here, sweetheart, I'm here. It's okay..."
Purple just stands there and sobs. They dint say anything, and if they did, it's incomprehensible. Their sobs are too hard.
Green rubs their back comfortingly, his own eyes filled with tears. Purple grasps his hand tightly, still hugging Mango with every bit of strength they have.
Mango lets them, just holds them, gives Green a glance of both terror mixed with relief at how close they both came to losing Purple.
