Daemon fought to keep his face blank as he listened to the arguing going on around the throne room. The Greens were pulling the wool over his brother's eyes again, and as normal Viserys couldn't see it, always too eager to see the good in people. The threat that was being made came from House Lannister but it was more than clearly coming from House Hightower to put them in a better position to get Aegon on the throne when Viserys passed.

The wording of it came straight from Otto Hightower, and it trapped the throne into needing to give into the threat, or risk a battle that they would struggle to win. Daemon could win it were he sure that he had the full backing of the Royal army, but he couldn't, sure that not only would Otto ensure that the full army did not make it there, but also take the chance to get Daemon out of the picture as quickly as he could while making it look like death in battle, even if it had to be friendly fire.

Daemon looked at his niece who was standing straight backed and as blank faced as he himself was. Of everyone here she had been the least at fault for everything that had happened. Her husband was of little use, he was a fine soldier yes, but Laenor, poor simple Laenor had inherited absolutely none of the political nouse that Corlys and Rhaenys had, that Laena had had.

He believed that his late wife had gotten all of the brains and the sense out of her and her brother, and it showed. Laena had passed a year ago, but he still remembered her pinched lips as she had comforted and backed Rhaenyra from yet another Hightower attack, while Laenor had happily been away in the clouds jousting, or fucking his lover.

He and Laena had both felt guilty that they had left Rhaenyra for so long at Kings Landing to cope and survive in amongst the nest of vipers, they had believed that Laenor would support her while they were away in the Free Cities, They had come back to find her standing strong and firm, but inside she was like glass breaking. Harwin Strong was probably the only reason that she had survived, and though Daemon disliked how overfar the man had stepped, he loved his niece, that much was clear to see, and more than that he had helped her to survive.

He and Laena had tried to make up for their being away and support Rhaenyra, they had convinced her to remove to Dragon Stone, to get away from toxic Court so that she was closer to them.

And yet here they were, back at Kings Landing, listening to, and being backed into a corner with yet another Hightower threat that was in place to steel up their own side. The threat of this one was dangerous enough that Daemon and Rhaenyra had been drawn from Dragon Stone and Driftmark to try and stop it in its place, but his fool of a brother had not seen the threat until it was in front of them, and then he could not see the fucking threat hidden underneath it!

Lannister had dozens of ships, hundreds of men, and because of the vow that Viserys had made, no Targaryen Dragon rider could fly out against him. Their trump card was useless.

Ships were sitting anchored right below the Red Keep in Blackwater Bay as a clear threat, hundreds of soldiers were marching from Casterly Rock as they spoke. The Lannister's 'diplomat' was speaking at the moment, and Daemon really had to resist the urge to draw Dark Sister and just kill him. It was an internal battle, but it would put their side in a worse place, the man was here under terms of peace, and diplomacy, and if Daemon were to kill him… as much as he hated to admit it, it would just make things worse in the long run, no matter how much better he would feel in the short.

So he stood here, listening to the terms that had been being hashed out for days now.

Gold

A place on the Council

Raising the Lannister name higher

Marrying into the Royal family.

Conveniently a Targaryen of age had just become available that would be acceptable in a way for Jason Lannister to marry without tipping his, and so the Hightower hands, too much.

Harrison Targaryen was an unusually dark haired Targaryen, at least until Rhaenyra and….Laenor's sons. It had been seen as a bad luck sign and Daemon's cousin had not really spent much time at Court as a child, not that Daemon had really noticed that his younger cousin was missing most of the time. He had been too busy running around, causing chaos, fighting and trying to fly on Caraxes as much as he could.

Harrison had been married off young to Joer Mormont and shipped off to Bear Island to get him out the way. The Mormonts really held to themselves, Bear Island was hundreds and hundreds of miles away, and Daemon had to admit that he knew very, very little about Harrison. It seemed foolish now that he was thinking about it for an unknown Dragon rider to be left out there in the North without keeping tabs on him, but so little had been heard that he had all but been forgotten about if they were being honest. He hadn't even come to Kings Landing when Viserys summoned all the Lords, including Joer Mormont to take their oaths of fealty to her.

At least until two weeks ago when all of this had kicked off, and they had heard that Joer Mormont had died suddenly and unexpectedly.

And now Harrison was conveniently in the marriage field again, as well as bringing House Mormont along with him.

"Lord Harrison Mormont!" The servant announced to the room, and Daemion blinked for a moment wondering why the servant was calling the name of the man who had just been on his mind, until he realised what it meant. For the first time in over a decade, Harrison Targaryen was in King's Landing.

A second later the doors were pulled open, and someone very different to who Daemon remembered swept in. Harrison had been small and thin, reedy looking, always shy and hanging off of his mother's skirts, too thin arms, and too thin legs.

That was not the man that swept into the hall, his head tilted up proudly, he was still smaller in stature, but it fitted him, he was no longer reedy looking the way that he had been, his stature had filled out.

His dark hair that his mother had kept cut short to try and hide the colour of it now lay passed his shoulders, and at the moment was braised first with two braids from his temples, and then into one long braid, keeping it from his face.

Daemon watched his daughters Baela and Rhaena perk up in curious interest at the newcomer, they understood the implications of what was going on, but at the same time they were young and they had become bored a long time ago.

Harrison swept down the stairs gracefully with his men two steps behind him, each of them with the bear sigil on their well armoured bodies, intimidating men even though there were only four of them curiously. Well Harrison did sweep down the stairs gracefully, until his foot hit the foot step and he tripped, nearly falling face first onto the floor if one of the men hadn't reached out and caught his arm. It seemed to be something that the man was used to doing, a well practised move.

"Lord Harrison, we were not expecting you," Viserys blinked.

"I heard that a request had been made for my hand in exchange for peace, I wanted to help," Harrison spoke softly, almost cautiously, as though frightened he would startle someone, or maybe himself.

Daemon wanted to sigh, he had found the other interesting for a moment when he entered the room, he had thought him to be something different from the glint in those green eyes as they had swept over the room, but he had obviously been mistaken.

"Yes, Lord Lannister is asking for your hand in marriage now that you are free to marry again," Otto Hightower stepped forward before anyone else could, and Daemon fought the urge to bare his teeth at the worm of a man who had sold his daughter for his own power, and not even been able to properly keep hold of it.

"My husband and I did not love each other," Harrison frowned as he walked forward, "but I was planning on spending the year in mourning, as is traditional,"

"Ah…traditional for a wife," Otto blinked.

"Well, it was how our marriage was arranged," Harrison shrugged, completely uncaring it seemed that he had been sold to Bear Island as wife when he was a man, even though he was a carrier. That uncaring was displayed in the clothes that he was wearing though, the traditional clothes of a carrier, more dress than anything, though there was a masculine cut to it, allowing for the fact that he didn't have breasts, but the lower part was a skirt, and he had the long sweeping sleeves attached to his black clothes.

"Well, that marriage if we are all honest was beneath you," The Lannister diplomat said not very diplomatically, and the Bear Warriors behind Harrison bristled in anger, though Harrison did not seem to pick up on the insult it was against him as well. "My Lord is a much better match, and you will be assisting in peace throughout the realm,"

"But, why is it that Lord Lannister is doing this?" Harrison gripped the necklace around his throat nervously.

"He was promised the hand of the Princess Rhaenyra, but that betrothal did not happen, he was then promised a marriage to Princess Helaena, but then that did not happen. Finally he was offered the hand of the Lady Baela, but Prince Daemon refused the marriage,"

"He is getting nowhere near either of my daughters," Daemon grit out.

"Oh, that is a lot of promises to have been made to him and then taken away," Harrison frowned, naivety showing in his answer making Daemon want to snort out loud. He briefly met Rhaenyra's eyes and could see the same desire in hers.

"Lord Lannister has offered his help and his money repeatedly to the crown, and each time he has had what was promised to him taken away," The Lannister Diplomat nodded, Daemon mentally added that he should never have had those things promised to him, especially not Daemon's daughter's hand in marriage. "This is not an act that he has taken easily, or lightly," the man added, leaning in close to Harrison who was blinking big green eyes at him, drinking in every word.

"And my marrying him will help?" Harrison asked, tilting his head to the side. Daemon really did have to bite back his snarl as one of those that this marriage would truly be benefiting stepped forward and took his hand between both of her's.

"It truly would, Cousin Harrison, Lord Lannister has ships in the Bay threatening to fire on the city, there are thousands of innocents here," Alicent nodded.

"I don't want people to get hurt if I can help it," Harrison frowned.

"You would be helping us greatly," Viserys nodded from his throne.

Daemon and Rhaenyra looked at each other and acknowledged that they had lost this, there was going to be nothing that they could do. It was only the fact that Harrison had been hundreds of miles away that had given them a chance to stop this. Him showing up here meant that there they had run out of time to try and think of a way around this, and this was another step in the Hightowers shoring up their side. Looking to Otto and seeing the glitter in his eyes and the small smirk tilting up his lips as he was already looking at them confirmed this.

"We can complete the marriage now, by proxy if you would be willing, prevent any bloodshed from happening," Otto said to Harrison softly, caringly, that hint of a father's tone that he could manage every now and then to put into his voice present as he patted Harrison and Alicent's still joined hands.

"Oh now?" Harrison blinked, "Well, I mean…if it will stop any bloodshed," he nodded frantically.

"I can complete the ceremony," The High Septon stepped forward.

There was a short shuffle and before Daemon could complete his set of mental swearing and cursing of the day his fool of a brother declared he was going to marry Alicent Hightower, everyone was organised, and he and Rhaenyra watched as Harrison Targaryen stood opposite the Lannister Diplomat who now stood as proxy for the marriage.

Harrison signed the document that had been knocked together while the High Septon had been performing the marriage and watched as the Lannister Diplomat/Proxy did the same before picking up the paper and looking down at it.

"Is it done? Are we officially married?" Harrison asked, "My last marriage was by the Old Ways," he admitted.

"It is done, you are now officially married," The High Septon nodded.

"I am now officially a Lannister," Harrison said softly.

Daemon sighed and watched as the Hightower faction shared looks of triumph knowing that they had won this round, knowing that they succeeded. Criston Cole looked over at Rhaenyra with a smirk that Daemon would love to punch off of the man's face.

"I will write to Lord Lannister and inform him he is now your husband, and he can stand down," The Diplomat/proxy smiled at Harrison before turning and moving to hurry away, he was however stopped by the Bear Soldiers who moved to block his pathway suddenly.

"I am afraid that I can not allow you to do that," Harrison said, still reading the marriage contract in his hand.

Daemon's head snapped from the huffing and puffing Diplomat/Proxy to Harrison. His whole demeanour had changed, he wasn't tucked in on himself but straight backed, and his voice was suddenly quite firm and certain.

"Pardon?" The Diplomat/Proxy snapped, turning around to face Harrison again.

"I intend to go and surprise my new husband, I am afraid that I can not allow you to ruin that," Harrison said, nodding to himself, seemingly satisfied with the contract, he folded it uncaringly and shoved it into the pouch around his waist that was hanging from his belt.

"What do you mean by that?" Otto frowned, clearly as wrong footed as Daemon was.

"I may not have loved my husband," Harrison snarled as he stepped forward, his green eyes flashing. "But he and I were good friends. You think that I would be stupid enough not to realise who murdered my husband? Lord Lannister, and any who assisted him, are going to die by my hands!"

Daemon blinked and then stood straight as it clicked in his head and he stared at Harrison truly seeing him for the first time, truly seeing the younger man, and he could not help but stare harder, taking everything in.

Harrison walked past the Diplomat/Proxy who was gaping like a fish and drew a small flick knife from his pouch, bringing it up he easily cut through the thick thread holding his heavy sleeves to his clothing, and then he cut through the thick thread of his skirts, and up through the ties of his overcoat. 2 of the Bear Soldiers who had turned to follow him reached forwards and gripped his skirts and yanked, removing the item now that there was no attachment, revealing leather riding trousers underneath.

Harrison shoved the knife back into his pouch and then yanked his own sleeves off, throwing them to the side, and gripped his overcoat, yanking it open and allowing the Bear Soldiers to take it from him, revealing a top more suited to riding, to flying, underneath, all while they carried on walking towards the doors.

"You can not! We swore that we would not attack him!" Otto bellowed after Harrison just as he was halfway up the stairs. Harrison paused and half turned to look at Otto, enough so that Daemon could see the smirk on his face, and the deadly glint to his green eyes.

"Fortunately, Hand of the King, for us Royals, they messed up their wording," Harrison said softly, but the whole room heard it.

"No…no we didn't!" The Diplomat/Proxy spluttered.

"Should you survive this, I will offer some advice. Be very careful how you phrase things. The agreement was for no Targaryen dragon riders to fly against you, thanks to this marriage I am no longer the Targaryen I had technically once again become upon the death of my husband, I am a Lannister," Harrison smirked before he turned and moved up the rest of the steps.

The room nearly moved as a whole, hurrying after him and the Bear Soldiers, Viserys being the only one not able to follow them, and the Kings Guard that stayed with him. The rest of them watched Harrison stride down the hallway with clear purpose, with the Diplomat/Proxy spluttering and stammering about technicalities not counting, something that Harrison clearly couldn't give a damn about.

"We can not risk war, guards! Don't allow him to leave!" Otto called to the castle guards at the end of the corridor that led towards the exit. Harrison barely took a moment before he turned down another corridor.

"That leads to a dead end!" Daemon called helpfully, curious when Harrison didn't stop, he was just still marching forward when they all hurried around the corner, he just kept marching straight forward until he reached the balcony at the end of the corridor, and then he shoved the doors open and jumped quite gracefully right over the edge of the balcony.

"I hate when he does that," one of the Bear Soldiers sighed as they reached the gathering of soldiers.

"He does this a lot?" Daeon asked curiously.

"More often than we would like," Another of the soldiers nodded, but his eyes narrowed at Daemon, clearly catching his interest.

They all turned back as there was a shriek, a familiar shriek, and they watched as the Sapphire blue dragon that had not been seen in the capital for years flew up into view, Harrison perched in the saddle on her back and still fastening himself in.

"Where is he going to?" Otto demanded.

"The ships," the same Bear Soldier shrugged.

"Get to the other side of the Keep, see if we can indicate to them!" Alicent snapped, turning and hurrying down the corridor.

"Him taking out the fleet threatening the safety of the city is a good thing, no?" Daeon asked casually as they all moved as a group through the corridors to the balconies overlooking the Bay. He wanted to go at a more sedate pace to indicate what he thought of this turn of events, but he was eager to see what would happen next.

"It could start war with Lannister and the others of the Westerlands if we break out vow!" Otto hissed.

"Except he is right, they got that vow that no Targaryen Dragon riders would ride out against him, the Diplomat himself said it, Harrison is a Lannister now," Rhaenyra smirked.

"I…" Alicent tried to think of something.

"Warning or no warning, they will be destroyed anyway," one of the Bear Soldier's shrugged. "Lord Harrison is already in flight," he said it as though it were a fact of life, like there being snow in the North, and sand in Dorne.

"You are that sure of him?" Daemon asked as they turned down the last corridor and walked quickly towards the balcony at the end.

"Yes," The soldiers all answered simply.

"Northerners," Daemon chuckled amused as the balcony doors were thrown open and Otto grabbed one of the banners from the balcony and started waving it frantically down at the ships sitting in the Bay below them. Daemon and Rhaenyra were pleased to note the edge of panic to his movement, it was quite ungraceful.

"It won't stop him," One of the Bear Soldier's said simply.

"What are your names?" Daemon asked.

"Colren, Colbat, Coren and Tadd," one of them said, pointing out each of them before pointing last to himself. His face didn't change to show the amusement that was clearly there, but Daemon caught a sparkle in his eyes.

"They're moving the Scorpions into place," Rhaenyra muttered, she and Daemon looked to the Bear Soldiers, and then they turned curiously to watch the Bay when not one out of Colren, Colbat, Coren and Tadd even blinked at that.

In the Bay there was frantic movement on the ships that they could see even from all their way up here, especially on the ships that had the Scorpions on them as they turned them so that they were pointing at the sky.

Daemon frowned and scanned the sky, confused as to why Harrison hadn't struck them before they managed to get the Scorpions into position, it was adding unneeded risk into it, especially when none of them them had been aimed before, trusting in the vow that had been made that a Targaryen Dragon Rider would not fly out against them, more there as a threat that the Lannisters had them to stop the Targaryens taking them to war.

"They're all pointing at the sky now," Baela muttered.

"So they are," Coren said and winked at the young girl. They all peered out, looking towards the sky for any sign of the sapphire dragon, but there was absolutely no sign of her, or her rider. Daemon could feel the eager burn of anticipation burning in his stomach, and perhaps a little lower as he remembered the flash in those green eyes and the power with which the other had spoken. Daemon turned from the sky to look at the Soldier who had seemed to catch his spark of lust for Harrison earlier, and then he blinked when he realised none of the four were looking up, they were all looking intently down.

He gently nudged Rhaenyra, and then two of them too looked down into the Bay where the ships were still a mass of panicked activity, slowly those around them also looked down realising when the Bears' focus was on.

"Father, was that…" Rhaena grabbed Daemon's hand and pointed to something in the water. They all narrowed their eyes and peered even more intently down into the Bay.

"Here he comes," Colbat smirked. Daemon just had time to catch a sparkle of blue that seemed to go against the water, and then with a loud shriek Kastafyre broke the surface of the water and burst into the air.

With powerful beats of her wings she was airborne, water spraying into the air, and Harrison clear on her back as she turned vertical to the water and gained some height before levelling out and before anyone could even start taking in what had happened she was opening her massive jaws. Daemon's heart beat a little faster as the familiar, powerful sound of a dragon drawing fire reached up to them causing the hairs on his arms and the back back of his neck to raise.

Kastafyre's flames washed over the ships as she moved forward, soaking into the first three ships in the same way water soaked into a sponge before she had to take her breath. She and Harrison banked to the side as she did so and then more ships were going up in burning hot dragon flame, and the screams of the man aboard it, the Lannister men, reached them up on the balcony.

Kastafyre glided across the water before lighting up even more ships in front of her, she and Harrison burst through one of the ships that she had just lit on fire before she took higher into the air, performing a complicated twist in the air that only a truly bonded Dragon and Rider would attempt to do.

Kastafrye twisted almost easily to the side out of the way of the bolt from a Scorpion that one of the ships managed to fire off at the two of them, and then they were descending on the ships again, vessel after vessel lighting on fire.

"They're going to trap him!" Lucerys leant against the balcony wide eyed as Harrison and Kastafyre flew slightly low again, Kastafyre's claws touching the water as she lit up more ships.

"Lord Harrison knows what he is doing," Tadd reassured the teen, meeting Daemon's concerned lavender eyes when they turned to him for confirmation, but his eyes quickly dropped back to Harrison, hoping that Tadd was correct, hoping that Harrison was aware of the several ships around him turning their Scorpions onto him. Kastafyre lit up three more ships, swept to the side and lit up five more. Daemon clenched his hand as he watched the Scorpions being made ready on the ships, his other hand clenching even tighter around the hilt of Dark Sister as though he would be able to help from all this distance away.

He wished that he was out there with Harrison on Caraxes, partly to help him, partly to watch the Hightower's hopes go up in flames, and partly just to be out there with him, flying and dancing with him. He had no doubt that Caraxes would love to fly with Kastafyre, he would love to dance with her, he could almost imagine the pleasure that the two of them would get flying with Harrison and Kastafyre.

For that to happen though, Harrison and Kastafyre would need to survive.

He watched with his breath held as Kastafyre lit another ship on fire just as the last of the Scorpions locked onto her and Harrison, and he could see from here that they were all getting ready to fire at the same time.

The Scorpions all fired, the bolts racing out of their giant crossbows, all aimed at Harrison and Kastafyre, however they were no longer there. The two of them right before the bolts were fired plunged back under the water, and Daemon almost leant over the edge of the balcony to watch the bolts flying through the air, and instead of ripping through flesh and bone, they ripped through wood. The Scorpion bolts took out the ships that had surrounded Harrison and Kastafyre, the damage horrifically fantastic as they easily ripped through the hulls of the ships having been lowered to that level to hit where Kastafyre had been flying.

The blue dragon burst from the sea a good twenty feet away, bursting fully into the sky this time and swept over the top of the ships that were in even more chaos, her jaws opening and dropping fire on them from the sky now.

Daemon watched almost breathless once Harrison was done, only moments later all the ships in the Bay were on fire, and Kastafyre turned and took to the sky, racing across it and away from Kings Landing, carrying Harrison with her.

"He is going to Casterly Rock? Daemon asked Colren.

"He has a new husband to surprise," Colren smirked.

"And then he will be returning?" Daemon asked. Rhaenyra and Tadd snorted in amusement.

"He has a few matters that he will need to resolve here," Colren nodded.

"Well, until that time why don't you make yourselves comfortable with my household! My soldiers say that they have a decent layout here within the Keep and I am sure that they would love to hear some of your stories from the North!" Daemon grinned, he knew that there were a little too many teeth to the smile, but the Bears obviously realised he meant it.

"We can…"

"We would be honoured Prince Daemon," Coren bowed his head a little.

"Is there somewhere safe where we can put his clothes as well, he likes this outfit and can get pissy about his clothes," Colren added with a grimace holding up Harrison's sleeves.

"He likes that outfit huh? Has he said why?" Daemon asked, leading the Bear's away.

Rhaenyra glanced at Alicent and Otto and saw the furious expression on their faces as they stared out over the burning Blackwater Bay, before she led her children and Daemon's away from the balcony, following before Daemon and the Bears.

"Well, this is going to be interesting," Baela said after a moment, her twin sister chuckling softly.

"What do you mean?" Jacaerys blinked, turning to look at the girls.

"Father wants Harrison," Rhaena said softly.

"Wants him?" Lucerys asked, confused.

"Yes, he WANTS him," Baela emphasised, and Rhaenyra wanted fondly as it clicked with her sons what the girls meant.

"Oh…OH!" Lucerys blushed slightly.

"Harrison is a carrier, yes?" Jacaerys asked.

"He is, it is a semi common thing that Targaryens have been able to do, there has been a Valaryon known to be able to carry as well," Rhaenyra nodded. "Would you girls be ok with that?" she asked the twins gently.

"We have known that Father will have to remarry at some point, it has been a year since Mother passed. He misses her, but he is lonely as well," Rhaena said thoughtfully.

"I would like to get to know him properly before anything happens. But that trick he played in there was epic, and he flies fucking amazingly!" Baela enthused.

"Beala!" Daemon scolded catching the tail end of it.

"Sorry Father," Baela bowed her head before looking up with sparkling eyes. "It was really utterly fucking epic!" she said, and the sound of Daemon's sigh was covered by the laughter from the Bears.

"Lord Mormont-Lannister!" The herald called into the throne room, and every head turned towards the doors. They had known that he had landed in Kings Landing an hour ago, and he had been given time to be allowed to clean up before coming to the throne room, and all the council, the Green side, and the Black side as they were becoming known had hurried to the throne room to see him. They all impatiently waited a few extra moments until one of the throne room doors opened, and Harrison swept through.

He was the Harrison that had walked out of the meeting room, shoulders held upright, chin up, back straight, his eyes were flashing with the intelligence and strength that he was not bothering to hide. This time his hair was braided out of his face at his temples and pinned at the back of his head, but the rest of his hair hung down around his face, clearly he did not plan to go flying off this time.

Daemon felt a thrill go through him when his eyes dropped from Harrison's face, and he realised what the younger man was wearing. He was wearing one of the outfits that Daemon had made for him. The black fabric highlighted his pale skin, the corset was fitted tightly around his chest and showed the slight curve to his body that gave away the fact he was a carrier, it was cut lower than a woman's dress would traditionally be, more in the style of the cuts Rhaenyra wore, sitting lower down his chest revealing sharp collarbones, an expanse of pale chest unmarred except for one silvery scar that cut across the right hand side of his chest.

A bright silver belt was cinched around his waist, three headed dragon and bear charms jingling slightly as he walked where they were hanging from his waist. The outfit had the heavy, flowing sleeves that the Bears had told Daemon Harrison liked, these were black velvet and lined with silver silk and nearly swept the floor as Harrison walked. The base of the outfit had comfortable fabric trousers with flairs to them giving the impression of a skirt, and attached from the waist was a long flowing piece of fabric, black velvet on the outside and silver silk on the inside to match his sleeves.

Harrison swept down the Throne room towards the Iron Throne where Viserys was seated, though he turned his head just slightly and green eyes washed over Daemon for a second that felt like a year to the older man, before he turned and finished walking to the base of the Iron Throne, ignoring the murmuring from around him, turning only to nod slightly as his Bears stepped away from Daemon's soldiers and fell into place either side of him.

"My King, I come as Lord of House Mormont and Lord of House Lannister to confirm the loyalty of both Houses to you, our oaths are with you and your rule, and I swear fealty to you," Harrison said loudly into the silence of the Throne Room, going down to one knee and bowing his head to the King.

"We thank you and accept your fealty!" Viserys smiled pleased.

Harrison stood sharply and spun on his heel, turning towards the 'Black' side of the room before dropping back to his knee and placing his hand over his heart.

"House Mormont and House Lannister also confirm our support and loyalty to your daughter and Heir, Princess Rhaenyra, as was vowed before, so will I uphold. House Mormont and House Lannister swear fealty to you and swear to honour you and defend your right to the throne Princess Rhaenyra," Harrison announced into the shock of the room.

"Thank you Lord Mormont-Lannister, we accept your fealty," Rhaenyra was clearly surprised at the outright declaration to her, but she didn't hesitate to speak.

"You can not declare for House Lannister! Only Lord Lannister can," Otto said smoothly, and Daemon was delighted to see that the older man practically had smoke coming out of his ears at the turn of events.

"I am Lord Lannister," Harrison stood straight and turned to smile at the Hand of the King.

"You are his husband, you can not speak for him," Alicent shook her head.

"Have my missives not reached Kings Landing yet?" Harrison asked innocently, and Daemon didn't believe him for one delightful second. "I suppose Dragons fly faster than horses even when they set out ahead of you," he nodded.

"What missive did you send Lord Mormont-Lannister?" Viserys asked.

"I am very sadly now twice widowed," Harrison announced, and Daemon couldn't have been more delighted at having confirmed what he was sure Harrison was going to do, but he had been slightly worried that the other would keep Jason Lannister alive as a puppet.

"Then your marriage was not consummated!" Alicent tried.

"We were able to consummate our marriage, and sadly the next day he and his brother Tyland both fell over the edge of Casterly Rock," Harrison shook his head sadly.

"And the fact you swept out of here on a dragon after burning all of his ships?!" Otto snarled.

"Jason and I were able to settle and agree that he had been in the wrong, threatening the Royal family and the Capital city, and threatening outright war. We had agreed that he would speak peace terms with my Cousin, and we consummated our marriage as expected the night before the…horrific accident," Harrison answered smoothly.

"You can not prove that you consummate the marriage!" Larys shook his head, and Daemon watched Harwin curl his nose in slight disgust of his brother. Daemon wanted to sigh a little, the man was a good man, or as good a man as you could get, definitely a better man than Daemon, however he was not truly politically smart or refined, and that worried Daemon for his niece.

"Actually I have the Septon from Casterly Rock's signature here saying that we consummated the marriage, several servants, and a signature from Tyshara and Loreon Hill stating that my marriage between myself and their father was consummated," Harrison pulled a piece of parchment from his pouch and held it up.

"May I see that Lord Harrison?" Viserys asked.

"Of course, my King," Harrison bowed deferentially and went to pass the paper to a Kings Guard.

"Allow me brother, I need to stretch my legs," Daemon stepped quickly forward and stepped up behind Harrison, probably a little closer than was appropriate considering he could feel the heat coming off of the smaller man, and could clearly scent sweet apple perfume and the pure scent of dragon, coming off of him.

Otto Hightower ground his teeth as the Kings Guard that was under his daughter's thrawl had no choice but to step back, whatever accident that he would have been able to come up with for the parchment was thwarted, thwarted in the same way that Daemon wished he could thwart the man himself, Criston Cole.

Harrison turned his head and part of his body so that he was closer to Daemon and could see his face, those green eyes shining when they looked at him, Harrison's head tilting slightly, and Daemon had to resist reaching out and brushing aside the lock of black hair that fell slightly over those green eyes.

Instead he held his hand out to Harrison for the parchment which Harrison placed into his hand without any hesitation making Daemon smile slightly, he had the other's confidence. He allowed his fingers to brush against Harrison's as he took the parchment before stepping back and walking towards the throne.

Colren, Colbat, Coren and Tadd were all watching him with narrowed eyes as he stepped back from Harrison.

"You may keep that one for your records my King, I have several others. You can't be too careful," Harrison said when Daemon was a few steps away from him, and the Prince's eyes met Calbat's, who smirked at him clearly knowing the thoughts of confidence in Harrison trusting him that Daemon had been having.

"Very organised," Viserys smiled nodding, oblivious as ever to the connotations of what was going on around him. As much as Daemon truly did love his brother, he despaired sometimes.

"In the North we are used to being careful in regard to documents like this," Harrison nodded.

"This is all signed correctly, including by Lord Jason's bastard son and daughter, the boy and the bastard daughters are in your care?" Viserys asked. He missed the tensing of Harrison's shoulders, Daemon did not.

"They are," Harrison nodded.

"Lord Mormont is quite young, we should take the children into Royal Wardship," Alicent smiled, her hands clasped together in front of her sweetly, and Daemon watched his brother starting to nod in agreement.

"Lord Mormont-Lannister, My Queen. And I am afraid that I would take it as a great insult should it be suggested that I am incapable of looking after my step-children," Harrison said, a small bite to his tone.

"That is not what was meant to you at all," Alicent simpered.

"Then what was? Lord Mormont-Lannister had already said that they were under his care and had not indicated that he was unhappy with this," Daemon asked as he glided down the steps from the Iron Throne. He considered for a moment going and standing beside Harrison, but he knew that the other would not appreciate the implication that he was not able to stand by himself.

Pouting a little to himself Daemon moved to stand next to Rhaenyra, when he looked up green eyes were watching him. As Daemon turned to look at Alicent as she answered, he caught the Bear Soldiers rolling their eyes at each other, something that he took to be a good thing.

"No insult was meant at all Prince Daemon, Lord Mormont…Lannister. Simply that you have never really been a part of the court, and how things are in the North are quite different to how they are here," Alicent smiled softly.

"Actually, that leads wonderfully to a concern that I wish to raise with you, My King, the matter of my step-children remaining in my custody now settled," Harrison turned from Alicent to Viserys with a smile, leaving the Queen and Otto Hightower clearly at a slight loss now that Harrison himself had declared the matter dealt with.

"Oh yes?" Viserys smiled leaning forward with interest.

"The people of the North are a little concerned, My King about the lack of Northerners within your council, the furthest North that a member of your council holds is the Lady Princess Rhaenyra on Dragonstone, there are no representatives of the truly Northern Lands on your Council despite us making up such a large part of them,"

"Are the North threatening rebellion?" Otto jumped in.

"Of course not, I am shocked that you would suggest such a thing Lord Hand when the North have been nothing but loyal to the King and the Throne, whatever information you are getting that would make you think that it was rebellion I was taking of when expression a deep rooted concern of the North to our King is clearly extremely incorrect," Harrison turned with wide green eyes to Otto who stood still, clearly not having expected the attack on his knowledge of the country and information he received for his attempt to weaken Harruson's position.

"The North always have been loyal," Viserys nodded.

"The North always will be my King," Harrison smiled brightly when he turned back to the King. "It was an army of the North, under the banner of your Warden of the North, Lord Stark that met me at Casterly Rock to prevent the…unexpected rebellion of the Lannisters and their bannermen,"

"This was before you consummated your marriage?" Otto raised his eyebrow.

"Yes, I believe seeing the loyalty of the North, and our consequential conversation of promises that should not have been made to him, yet finally being fulfilled calmed down the ire within my husband," Harrison rested a hand on his chest, "though I did not know him long, it is soothing to my soul to hope that my new husband died with peace in his heart rather than the flames of rebellion,"

Daemon and Rhaenyra had to look to the ground to hide their smiles, and then they glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes they had to fight them down even more. Harrison was playing a blinder, and watching him dance around the Hightowers was refreshing. The Blacks and the Greens knew now most of the political steps that each other would take, every now and then one of them would be able to pull something off that would weaken the other side, Daemon and Laena marrying, the Lannister rebellion. Watching Harrison come in and spin on a dragon's flame with the things that were thrown at him was impressive and incredibly refreshing to see.

"There is a slight imbalance to the representation," Viserys frowned.

"My King, Lord Hand, Princess," Harrison looked at each of them, but as he spoke, Daemon had no doubt that his words were mainly for Rhaenyra, "The North do feel as though we are forgotten about a lot of the time, we make up nearly half of your country and yet there is no representation on your council for the laws that rule this land, however they are always there, strong and firm and loyal whenever you need them,"

"I…" Viserys paused and then did something that Daemon had not expected of his brother, "Lord Lyonel, please approach!"

Lyonel Strong made his way from the gathered group and made his way down to the throne, clearly a little confused but holding his head high under the intense stare of the Greens. He made his way up to the throne and bent his head to speak to Viserys, nodding and speaking to him while everyone waited, nodding and speaking to Viserys before he turned and made his way back down the throne steps and into the crowd.

Daemon narrowed his eyes slightly when he watched Otto and Alicent glaring at the man, he had stepped down from being Hand of the King because he realised that Viserys' grandsons through Rhaenyra were also his own Grandsons, and the honourable, foolish man that he was he had stepped down. He wasn't stupid, he knew that he had left his Grandchildren and son vulnerable, but he did not realise just how vulnerable he had left himself, but more importantly his son and grandsons.

Daemon respected the man's integrity, he cursed his foolishness.

"Lord Mormont-Lannister, we would like to offer you a place on the council, as representative of the North, and ask for your advice as to whether a second would be a good idea," Viserys spoke into the room.

"I would be honoured to take the position, and I do suggest at least a second member of the North for the Council, I know that the people of the North will be heartened to know that Our King listens so closely and intently to our concerns though," Harrison smiled.

"I am looking forward to working with you in the future," Viserys smiled brightly at Harrison. "I will have rooms assigned for you immediately,"

"Thank you my King," Harrison bowed respectfully and stepped back amongst his men.

Viserys went through a few things that were nowhere near as interesting as the events before it.

"I…"

"Cousin, why don't you come to my rooms and have something to drink while they sort out your rooms," Rhaenyra interrupted Daemon from speaking.

"That would be wonderful thank you, it was a long ride here," Harrison said amused, inclining his head.

"You could have taken us with you my Lord," Tadd grumbled as soon as he, Harrison, Rhaenyra, Daemon, Harwin, and the rest of the Bear Soldiers were out of the Throne Room and away from the others in the crowd.

"How would you have travelled with him?" Rhaenyra blinked.

"Ungracefully," Coren snorted.

"It involves a box with seats in it that Kasatfyre will carry," Harrison chuckled.

They walked into Rhaenyra's rooms, her servants already placing down drinks and food for them, which Harrison quickly fell upon after glancing curiously at Rhaenyra.

"Well you have burst back onto the scene in quite the burst of dragon flames," Rhaenyra said, and the Bear Soldiers snorted from where they were standing around Harrison's chair.

"Shut it you lot," Harrison glared at them before looking back to Rhaenyra and Daemon, "I have had my hand forced really, but it is forced, and I am going to make sure that they regret that,"

"How did you know that it was not us?" Daemon asked.

"It didn't take much of listening to the arguing back and forth when I first arrived to work it out, and I dangled Lannister over the edge of the wall to confirm it before dropping him," Harrison shrugged before taking a deep sip from his cup.

"I am sorry for your loss," Daemon said seriously.

"I am taking it that you mean Joer and not Lannister," Harry said.

"Yes," Daemon nodded.

"Hmm, as I said, Joer and I were not in love with each other, but we did love each other, he was a good friend," Harrison hummed looking at his lap, Colbat reached down and squeezed his shoulder.

"You got pulled into something that you weren't even anywhere close to," Rhaenyra said softly.

"And now I am here, and they will regret the day that they brought me into this," Harrison looked up, his green eyes snapping with the fury that he was clearly feeling.

"What do you intend with the Lannister Bastards?" Daemon asked.

"Tyshara Hill will become the Lady Lannister when the time is right and take over Casterly Rock," Harrison shrugged.

"She would need to be legitimised for that, and Lannister has a son, though younger," Daemon frowned.

"And? She is the older child, so she will inherit, and I will make sure that she is legalised one way or the other," Harrison shrugged. "Joer's child will be the same for Bear Island,"

"His bastard?" Rhaenyra blinked.

"It was our plan for Johr all along," Harrison nodded. "Joer was as straight as a pole and had no desire to lay with a man, it was always going to be a legalised bastard," he chuckled catching them looking at each other.

"You don't want children of your own?" Daemon asked.

"And is there a reason that you wish to know that?" Harrison arched an eyebrow at the other dragon rider.

"Yes," Daemon smirked.

"And what reason could that be?"

"A very specific reason,"

"One you do not wish to share?"

"Oh I can share plenty with you, I…"

"The rest of us are in this room, though thankfully not the children!" Rhaenyra broke into their back and forth, and she rolled her eyes when they both turned with a smirk to her.

"Life just became more interesting," Harwin snorted.

"You must be Harwin Strong," Harrison said to the man, standing and making his way over to him. It looked a little amusing, Harrison's smaller stature standing in front of the tall man, but there was something about the way that he was looking at him that just made power seem to radiate from him. "We have heard of you even all the way to Bear Island,"

"Cousin…" Rhaenyra said uncertainly, standing.

"You have kind eyes," Harrison smiled at the man.

"Thank you?" Harwin said.

"I look forward to properly meeting your children, Cousin," Harrison smiled at Rhaenyra.

"Many that hold with me, hold issues with my sons," Rhaenyra said carefully.

"Your blood is the one that matters, the second part is of no matter to me. I will follow and be loyal to you and your blood, couldn't give a fuck about the other side," Harrison shrugged, "No office big guy," he added rapping his knuckles against Harwin's armour.

Daemon couldn't help but start laughing, Harrison truly was a breath of fresh air, he could play the game, spectacularly, and yet when in private he was refreshingly honest and open.

"I believe that you will be very loyal to Rhaenyra, and that we are lucky to have you on our side," Daemon smiled.

"You have my backing 100% Princess," Harrison nodded to Rhaenyra.

"Thank you," Rhaenyra took his hands and squeezed them gratefully.

"Lord Harrison's rooms are ready," A servant said, entering the room after knocking.

"I think I am going to go and take a nap and rest before supper," Harrison smiled.

"I can escort you," Daemon said standing.

"This lady is more than capable of that, I will see you at supper, Princess, Prince," Harrison smiled bowing to them. Coren met Daemon's eyes as he and the others walked past him to follow Harrison out of the room.

"You are like an eager puppy," Rhaenyra snorted with laughter the moment that the door was shut behind them.

"Quiet!" Daemon huffed throwing himself back down into his chair.

"Honestly, Uncle," Rhaenyra huffed amused. Harrison had not made it to supper, one of his Bear's had come and sent apologies saying that Harrison had been busy sending letters to the North before laying down for a rest and sleeping through.

Daemon just huffed and sprawled out even more in his seat, he wasn't pouting, no matter what Rhaenyra said. He also chose to ignore the children around them snickering at him. His head snapped up when the door opened and Harrison swept into the room. Daemon's breath caught and he felt his eyes widening as he took the other in.

He was wearing a black outfit that was more dress than masculine wear, the base of the outfit was a skirt with the outline of the Targaryen three headed dragon in thread but not filled in as though an impression of it had been left in the fabric. Around the neck of the top was the body of a red dragon, trailing down his chest to create the full design of the three headed dragon on the body of his corset. His dark hair was swept up in a ponytail, brushing the top of his shoulders, wavy tendrils of his hair hanging around his face.

"You're drooling a little, Father," Baela smirked at him.

"Quiet brat," Daemon grumbled.

"He is so pretty!" Rhaena sighed in awe.

"He might not like it being phrased like that, we should check with him," Baela said, mischievously bouncing to her feet and before Daemon could say anything, she grabbed Jacaerys' hand and pulled him over to where Harrison was.

Daemon sat up a little straighter and watched intently.

"Do you like being called pretty?" Baela asked Harrison as soon as she and Jacaerys came to a stop in front of him. The Prince groaned a little embarrassed.

"I don't mind it at all no," Harrison chuckled. "You must be Baela, my men told me a fair bit about you all,"

"None of it is true," Baela declared.

"So you don't ride like a demon?" Harrison raised his eyebrow.

"No that I do!" Baela shook her head quickly. "Can you teach me to fly like you did in the Bay?" she asked eagerly.

"I can, I take it you mainly mean the water part?" Harrison chuckled.

"Definitely the water part!" Jacaerys nodded quickly.

"That I can definitely teach you," Harrison smiled.

"It was so unexpected, how did you learn to do it?" Lucerys asked as he and Rhaena hurried over as well.

"There was a lot of wild sea around Bear Island, Kastafyre and I were able to just fly around and experiment with different things, and play essentially. Then we went to war with the Greyjoys with the Starks and Joer and I worked on a way to use what had been play to be an attack,"

"The Greyjoys? Pirates?!" The children's eyes lit up, and Daemon watched as Baela and Lucerys caught Harrison's hand and tugged him over to a nearby table, begging him to tell them the story about the battle. Harrison went with them willingly, sitting down and crossing his legs before launching into the story.

The children had claimed most of Harrison's attention, and while Daemon had wanted to spend more time with Harrison himself, he found himself happy just sitting there watching and listening to Harrison, watching him interact with the children, watching how they hung of his every words as he told the stories of battles that he had been part of, and stories of the North.

Harrison had stood and made his way across the room to use the toilets and was making his way back when he bumped into Helaena.

"Princess," Harrison bowed.

"Lord Harrison," Helaena looked up at him. Daemon leant forward curiously when Harrison tilted his head as he looked at Helaena all of a sudden, seemingly to be searching right through the girl, looking for something that he had caught on that initial glance at her.

"What are you doing?" Aemond stormed over and stood mostly in front of Helaena, glowering at Harrison.

"Peace Prince, I am not going to harm her," Harrison smiled softly at the one eyed teen.

"You're not," Helaena agreed, nodding her head. She and Harrison stared intently at each other again, and it was not only Daemon and Aemond's attention that they caught.

"You're very special," Harrison finally said quietly.

"She is," Aemond said, and it was much less confrontational and more hesitant.

"And you, you ride Vhagar," Harrison smiled, taking his attention from the girl.

"Yes I do, she is my dragon!" Aemond nodded sharply.

"I would love to be able to meet her some time if you would allow it, to get to see one of the dragons that were ridden here by the Conqueror and his Queens, the last living dragon would be something else," Harrison did not lose his smile.

"My father's dragon, Balerion, his skull is here within the castle, I can show you that as well as meeting Vhagar," Aemond made the offer more like a challenge, and Harrison smiled even softer.

"I would really like that," He nodded.

"We need to go to bed," Aemond told Helaena.

"Princess," Harrison reached out and caught Helaena's hand, stopping her from walking away, and gaining Aemond's suspicious attention again. "If you need to talk, or you need a quiet place, my door is always open," he said to her.

"Thank you," her gentle lavender eyes were wide and she turned to walk away as soon as Harrison released her.

"What was that about? What did you see?" Daemon asked quietly when Harrison walked over looking thoughtful.

"That is not my secret to tell," Harrison hummed distractedly watching as the Princess walked towards the exit with her brothers. "It is interesting though, I think Aemond is the only other one that knows it,"

"Alicent is…distracted when it comes to her children, if it is not something obvious, she would not notice," Daemon sighed.

"Hmmm," Harrison said thoughtfully.

"You are good with the children," Daemon said.

"You seem very interested with me and children," Harrison said without even looking at Daemon, though his lips twitch up amused.

"I am," Daemon had had enough of being ignored and stepped into Harrison's line of sight, finding green eyes sparkling with mischief when they looked up at him.

"Is there something that you wish to know, Prince?" Harrison asked coyly.

"There are several things that I would like to know," Daemon said lowly. He was pleased to see Harrison gulping a little and could see his eyes widening a little at the tone, and the implication behind his words. And then to his delight a red blush lit up Harrison's cheeks.

He had been sure that Harrison had an interest in him, but it was hard to fully read on the younger man, but this was all that he needed to know that Harrison was not immune to his charms, and that he was interested in him and not just in playing verbal games with him.

Daemon reached up and brushed his fingers over that blush on his cheek, knowing that his own expression was becoming hungry and wanting, knowing that those things that he wished to know about the other man were written across his face and he didn't bother to suppress it.

"Daemon," Harrison protested, moving to step away but Daemon moved his grip to the back of Harrison's head holding him in place as he hungrily drank in his expression.

"My Lord," Tadd stepped up behind Harrison, "would you like to return to your rooms now?"

"Yes…yes I would," Harrison said, sounding a little breathless as he spoke. It was only the uncertainty mixed in with the desire in those green eyes that made Daemon release his grip on the other immedietly.

Harrison took a slow step back, his eyes still scanning over the Prince before he turned and walked over to his men, the four of them closing around him and escorting him from the room.

"You look thoughtful," Rhaenyra stepped up next to him with Harwin.

"I don't think someone who has wanted him has actually chased him before," Daemon hummed, his eyes locked on Harrison's retreating back.

"Don't hurt him, I like him!" Baela said firmly.

"This is an adult conversation," Daemon said dryly, turning his eyes from the closing door to his daughter standing staring defiantly at him.

"I don't care I like him, if you hurt him I will make sure that Moondancer burns all of your favourite clothes, and Vermax will shred all your favourite saddles," Baela crossed her arms.

"Are you not going to protest you and your dragon being pulled into this?" Daemon asked Jacaerys.

"Not really, Baela would make my life hell, and Harrison has promised to teach me how to do the water trick thing and some other tricks," Jacaerys shrugged.

"Good job I don't intend to hurt him then you bunch of brats," Daemon snorted. Turning he saw Harwin standing there looking incredibly uncomfortable to be in the middle of, though not included, in the conversation.

Daemon wanted to laugh at the sight in front of him, he had to truly suppress his laughter as he walked towards where Harrison was standing with his arms crossed tightly over his chest, straight backed and staring at Alicent who was clearly trying to work her charm on him. Her charm being trying to come across as innocent, sweet and the martyr that she played so well. Daemon swore that she would walk around flogging herself if she could to show how sacrificial that she was.

It clearly wasn't working on Harrison.

"...your eyes are so green, like emeralds," Alicent was simpering.

"Your dress is very green, like grass," Harrison said dryly.

"I…" Alicent spluttered.

"Lord Harrison, I have come to collect you for our walk together," Daemon said walking over.

"I was talking to Lord Harrison," Alicent snapped.

"I am afraid that I had already promised my time to Prince Daemon, perhaps another time," Harrison was already closing the distance between him and Daemon.

"We can arrange a date now," Alicent smiled tightly at Harrison.

"I am afraid that Prince Daemon is already quite late, we will arrange another time!" Harrison linked his arm through Daemon's and quickly tugged him away.

"The tapestry gallery or the tea party?" Daemon asked.

"Tapestry with the tea party later," Harrison muttered darkly. "You know she used to constantly mock me for being the dark haired Targaryen, for not having the purple Targaryen eyes, and now she is complimenting them," Harrison snorted, shaking his head.

"What people mock and laugh at, in a few years they see differently," Daemon pulled them to a stop and reached out, running a lock of Harrison's dark hair through his fingers, at least until Harrison knocked his hand away.

"Don't!" Harrison stepped away and stormed down the corridor leaving Daemon staring after him shocked before hurrying after him.

"Harrison!" Daemon called.

"Do not!" Harrison snapped, turning down another corridor.

"You think that I am mocking you?" Daemon caught Harrison's hand and pulled him to a stop, turning him to face him. He didn't need an answer, the expression on Harrison's face said yes.

"It was made quite clear to me what our family thought about my hair and eye colour!" Harrison hissed trying to yank his hand away. He gasped when instead Daemon moved into him and backed him against the wall, slamming his hand down next to Harrison's face against the wall, and his other reached up again to run a lock of hair through his fingers.

"The older generation, I never really had one thought or the other when we were children besides the fact that you looked different. Now, as an adult myself, I love Rhaenyra's children and they don't have the blond hair though their eyes are purple, and yours,"

"And mine?" Harrison asked slowly, with an uncertainty that made the dragon inside of Daemon snarl.

"It is like the black smoke that comes with dragon flames, it makes me think of fire and ash…and the colour of Dark Sister," Daemon hummed playing with the lock of hair.

"No one has…" Harrison licked his lips and looked to the side.

"Targaryen stupidity comes with being adverse to change," Daemon hummed. "You're different, but stunning for it. And after seeing you fly, you're as much the dragon as any of us. I hope that the older generation wherever they are are choking on their words and realising what idiots they were,"

"I…" Harrison was clearly at a loss for what to say, and Daemon took pity on him, stepping out of his personal space even though it was the last thing that he wanted to do, he offered his arm to Harrison instead.

"May I show you around?" Daemon asked.

"Of course," Harrison slipped his arm through Daemon's after only a moment of hesitation.

"I will leave the fun stuff for the children, I think they might try and fry me if I do not. They are looking forward to showing you around," Daemon smiled.

"Yes, you are a handsome boy," Daemon raised his eyebrows at the now familiar voice, walking a little faster down the corridor of the Dragon pit, coming around the corner to see Harrison standing between Kastafyre and Caraxes, his blood wyrm was curled around Harrison and was nudging at him making soft noises.

Daemon leant against the wall of the pit and smiled to himself as he watched his dragon fussing Harrison, demanding his attention. He had always known that he and Caraxes had a close bond, and seeing his dragon with Harrison and clearly being pulled to him just confirmed to Daemon what he thought about Harrison.

Kastafyre didn't seem bothered by Caraxes demanding her rider's attention either, if anything she was happily splitting her attention between Harrison and Caraxes, at least until her head turned towards Daemon.

"What is it Kastafyre?" Harrison asked, batting Caraxes away where he was trying to tuck Harrison under his wing. "Daemon!" Harrison blushed the way he had been increasingly over the last month when he saw the older men, though being caught the way that he was definitely was making him blush harder.

Daemon chuckled when Caraxes cooed and managed to cover Harrison with his wing while the other was distracted. He walked forward, towards Kastafyre who was eyeing him intently. She was a smart dragon though young and she lowered her head to the ground so that she could properly look at him as she took him in.

Harrison managed to fight his way through Caraxes' wing, Daemon's dragon embarrassingly cooing repeatedly over Harrison, he might as well be announcing Daemon's feelings for the other, though he thought that Harrison still did not understand the extent of his feelings towards him, despite Daemon's actions over the last month, and despite his dragon practically acting like a puppy.

Kastafyre was not a puppy, she was eyeing him up and looking right into his soul as she lay her head down on the floor to fully take him in, and Daemon stood there, allowing her to look, allowing her to read him, allowing her to do whatever she wanted.

He was aware of Harrison watching them intently.

He was also aware of Caraxes still cooing at Harrison.

Kastafyre slipped her head forward the remaining distance between them and she pressed her nose into his stomach. Daemon reached out carefully and stroked his hand along her stunning blue snout.

"You are absolutely stunning," he said softly to her, awed as he ran his fingers over her glittering scales.

"She knows it as well," Harrison chuckled. Kastafyre huffed warm smoke all over Daemon in response.

"Were you going to fly?" Daemon asked Harrison as he waved his hand in front of his face to clear the smoke, his other hand still stroking Kastafyre's nose as she had not moved away.

"I was thinking about it, yes, before Caraxes decided he wanted a little attention," Harrison hummed, but he was looking at Daemon suspiciously.

He had been doing so for the last month, though they had managed to spend plenty of time together - Daemon had made sure of that - Harrison clearly didn't know what to do with the gestures that Daemon was making towards him. He definitely didn't know what to do with the courting gestures that Daemon was making towards him.

"He is an attention seeker, to those I care for," Daemon snorted as Caraxes let out another coo. "May we ride with you?"

"I…yes," Harrison gulped a little but nodded, and Daemon could see the eagerness in the other to fly with another rider. Though he had been out with Daemon and Rhaenyra's children, and to Daemon's slight displeasure Alicent's children, he had not yet flown with an adult Dragon Rider.

The two of them moved quickly to get ready, Caraxes calming down and helping Daemon when he realised that they were going out with Harrison and Kastafyre.

"Honestly, do you want to tame it down a little, you're making a fool of the both of us," Daemon grumbled to his dragon who was now cooing and purring at Kastafyre, who was completely ignoring him. Daemon huffed a little when he heard laughter coming from the other side of the blue dragon, and realised that Harrison had heard his scolding.

Finally though the two of them were ready, and they climbed eagerly into the saddles of their dragons. By this point it seemed Kastafyre couldn't hold back her excitement either, and she bodily nudged Caraxes and Daemon, knocking them to the side slightly before she hurried off to the exit, launching herself into the air, Caraxes hurrying behind her.

Daemon sucked in a deep breath as his blood wyrm threw himself out of the exit of the pit and took to the air, despite all of his foolishness up to now, he was as graceful as he always was, and his powerful body moving through the air gave daemon that thrill that it always did. He never took for granted how lucky he was to be able to do this, how lucky he was to have Caraxes and the bond that they did.

He looked to the side and found Harrison already watching him, and expression on his face that warmed Daemon, that gave him a thrill in the same way that flying did, in a way that he had never felt before.

A beautiful smile crossed Harrison's face that Daemon could see even with the distance between them, and he grasped Kastafyre's reigns and pulled her into a complicated roll underneath Caraxes before they came up on the other side of the male dragon and rider, Caraxes calling out into the air in delight at the playful mood, and then the four of them raced off, dancing around each other.

Harrison and Kastafyre seemed delighted in the flexibility that Caraxes possessed as a blood wyrm, Daemon's dragon twisting and dancing with grace around Kastafyre's blue form, and the two dragons pulled feints and twists around each other until they all settled into just enjoying the fly.

Seeing Harrison up here, seeing him flying up close, and seeing his expression, the same joy and awe that daemon himself always felt written across Harrison's face, seeing how graceful he was, seeing how he belonged here, in the sky on his dragon, it only made Daemon fall even more in love with the other.

"Johr Snow," The announcement had everyone turning to see the 12 year old Mormont bastard entering the room in which the party was being held with three more Bear soldiers, each of them looking around at the crowd for any threats.

Muttering started right away as the boy walked into the room with the soldiers and a beautiful dark haired woman, all of them eyeing the boy up and down and wondering why the bastard child was here.

"Papa!" The boy cried out as he spotted Harrison, and his slow walk became almost a run as he hurried over to where Harrison was standing with Daemon, Rhaenyra, Harwin and their children.

"Johr!" Harrison beamed, fully beamed as he hurried to meet the boy, wrapping his arms tightly around him and squeezed him in what looked like a bone crushing hug. "By the Gods you're nearly as tall as me, it has only been a couple of months, let me look at you," Harrison pulled back and cupped the boys face.

"I have barely changed Papa!" The boy grumbled, but he was smiling all the same.

"Let me look, this is the longest I have been away from you," Harrison scolded good naturedly before pulling him back into a tight hug, which the boy went into willingly.

"Lord Mormont-Lannister we believe it is now," the woman smiled as she reached them.

"Nyla, how was the journey?" Harrison laughed pulling her into a one armed hug and kissed her cheeks.

"This lot complained endlessly, especially when it started getting warmer," she rolled her eyes, the three soldiers spluttering in protest.

"He is a little old to have a nurse," Rhaenyra said confused.

"Nurse…" Harrison looked genuinely confused for a second before he smiled and shook his head. "Nyla is Johr's mother,"

"What?" even Daemon was a little shocked at this.

"This is Nyla, Johr's mother," Harrison nodded, introducing the woman, "and this is of course Johr," he said proudly, wrapping his arm around the boy's shoulders.

"It is a pleasure to meet you," Daemon blinked.

"We are aware it is not the usual circumstances," Nyla said, looking uncertain now, as did Harrison and Johr, and Daemon could not have that.

"Whatever works, works, as long as you are all happy, that is all that matters. It really is a pleasure, and I have heard a lot about you from Harrison," Daemon smiled at Johr.

Who was eyeing him up and down and his young face settled into a dark scowl while Colren, Colbat, Coren and Tadd snickered.

"Who are you?" the young boy demanded.

"Johr!" Harrison scolded, completely surprised.

"I am Daemon," the Prince smiled.

"Hmm," Johr's eyes narrowed even more, and he stepped closer to Harrison, wrapping his arms around his waist and glowered at Daemon.

"This is Brennar, Ronas, and Sibas," Harrison introduced, clearly a little confused.

"Lord Harrison, who is this handsome boy?" Viserys made his way over to them.

"This is my husband's son, and who will be my heir for Bear Island, Johr," Harrison said proudly.

"This is the boy you asked to have legitimsied?" Viserys looked over the boy, taking in the way he was still hugging Harrison, and he smiled. "I can see why, you are very like your father,"

"He is, he will be a wonderful Lord Mormont," Harrison nodded, combing his fingers through Johr's dark hair.

"I will have all the paperwork with you by morning," Viserys nodded.

"Thank you My King," Harrison bowed.

"Harrison," Nyla said a little breathlessly.

"Did you doubt me?" Harrison smirked.

"Never," she laughed before wrapping her arms around Harrison and her…their son. Daemon watched with a soft smile.

"I am Baela, this is my sister Rhaena, Jacaerys, Lucerys and baby Joffrey," Baela stepped forward.

"Papa said that you know all the secret tunnels here?" Johr asked right away, with the smirk that his daughter gave Daemon knew that they were going to be in trouble.

Daemon stared at the girl utterly confused who was staring back at him with wide, frightened purple eyes.

"I…I…I…I…" was all she managed to get out, and Daemon fought down his dislike of her mother and maternal side of the family, not willing to take it out on the young girl, his niece, who was clearly distressed.

"Who is it?" Rhaenyra called from inside Harrison's rooms making Helaen's eyes widen even more in seeming panic.

"Helaena?" Harrison asked taking the door from Daemon and opening it wider, stepping around the confused man.

"I…" Helaena managed to say again. Harrison's head tilted for a second, the way that it had when they had first bumped into each other. "I…"

Harrison was moving suddenly, fast enough that Daemon actually started, he moved forward and wrapped his arms around the girl, pulling her into his rooms and quickly towards his bedroom, he paused only to grab the blanket that was sitting over the back of his sofa, and he threw it around her, throwing the fabric over her head and around her shoulders as though hiding her away from the world, before gripping her tightly as he walked the two of them to his bedroom, the door slamming pointedly shut behind the two of them.

"No," Coren shook his head, moving in front of Daemon and standing in front of the door when the Prince went to go after them anyway.

"Move," Daemon commanded.

"No, Lord Harrison clearly means to be alone with her," Colren stepped beside Coren and the two of them settled in a way that was clearly meant that they would not be moved.

Daemon opened his mouth when the faint sound of sobbing reached them through the door, and the soft soothing tones of Harrison's voice. Stepping back and utterly confused he turned to look at Rhaenyra who was standing from her seat, looking as confused as Daemon was at what was going on with Helaena, why she would be here, and what had upset her so much.

All they could do was settle down to wait, neither of them really wanting to leave until they were sure whatever was going on with Helaena was settled.

Twenty minutes later there was a furious hammering on Harrison's door, far louder and insistent than the light tap Helaena had given, and before they could do anything the door was opening and a furious Aemond was storming in.

"Where is she? The guards said that she came here!" Aemond demanded. Daemon bristled at the tone, standing and storming over to his nephew.

"What gives you the right to come bursting into someone's rooms?" Daemon frowned.

"I have every right when my sister is with them!" Aemond glowered.

"A little politeness and manners would not go amiss!" Daemon hissed at the boy that had stolen his late wife's dragon.

"This is none of your business, you just happen to be here because you are hovering around Lord Harrison trying to corrupt him to your side and…"

"Enough Prince," Harrison's calm but firm voice broke through the stand off and they all turned to see him stepping through the door and shutting it behind him, nodding to his men to keep guard. "I know you are worried for your sister, but that is no reason to speak as such,"

"Where is she?" Aemond demanded.

"She is sleeping now," Harrison assured him. "She was a little overwhelmed," he looked intently at the Prince who nodded after a moment showing that he understood what Harrison was and wasn't saying.

"She came to me but I was training," Aemond grit out looking to the side, clearly frustrated with himself.

"Well, she had here to come as well, she is safe and she will be just fine. You do not have to help her by yourself anymore, as capable as you are you can not always be around, having a back up plan is always good," Harrison smiled resting his hand on Aemond's shoulder.

"I can look after her myself!" Aemond snapped throwing Harrison's hand off and stepping threateningly towards him. Daemon bristled and wanted to reach for his sword where it was resting in the corner of the room, but Harrison remained calm.

"I know you can, and you have done a good job of it, but you do not have to do it by yourself anymore, Helaena has two people who can help her should she need it," Harrison said with perfect calm.

"How do you even know!?" Aemond demanded.

"My own gift to see what is and isn't there," Harrison shrugged.

"You…" Aemond blinked, calming down and stepping back from Harrison.

"Come, you may stay with her till she wakes," Harrison slipped his hand into Aemond's and led the Prince over to the bedroom, leading him through the door which once again shut behind them causing Daemon to throw his hands up in frustration, despite the situation Rhaenyra snorted amused.

"You voted against me!" Daemon snapped as soon as the door was shut behind them, and the greeting that the children had been getting ready to give paused as they took in Harrison, Daemon and Rhaenyra's faces.

"I didn't vote against you, I voted the way that was the best for my people!" Harrison said with a false calm, turning and crossing his arms, his face perfectly blank.

"You voted against me and with the Greens, do you know what that will make them think, especially with you spending more and more time with Helaena and Aemond!" Daemon snapped.

"Not everything comes to Blacks and Greens, I voted for what I thought was the right thing, and the best thing for my people," Harrison reiterated.

"Of course everything does, it is a constant battle, and you are spending more time with them!" Daemon stepped closer to Harrison and the Bear soldiers bristled but did not move when Harrison held his hand up to them without even looking at them, instead green eyes were locked on Harrison.

"I am spending time with Helaena and Aemond, with children, that is hardly declaring for them. I have made my choice and loyalty quite clear!"

"Loyalty can change!"

"You dare to question my loyalty and how firm it is!?" part of Harrison's calmness cracked away and with the fury he was feeling Daemon couldn't help but poke at it, even as Rhaenyra hurried the children from the room.

"Loyalty can be an easily changed thing!"

"Not for me!" Harrison snapped. "And mine is rooted in the death of someone I loved!"

"And yet you voted against me!" Daemon threw his arms out as the door slammed shut behind Rhaenyra and the children.

"Leave," Harrison said to the soldiers.

"My Lord…" Tadd went to protest.

"Now!" Harrison demanded. The soldiers hurried out the door, clearly reluctantly, and as soon as the door was once again shut Harrison turned back to Daemon, his green eyes flashing with the fire he came from. "I voted against you because your idea was shit!"

"Wha…"

"Your idea, it was shit, that is why I voted against it, and if you expect me to agree and go along with everything that you raise, shit or not, then you're going to be in for a big surprise! That is not who I am, and at the end of the day I am on that council to make sure that my people in the North are represented as best I can represent them, and that I vote for the things that will be best for them!"

That is not why anyone else is on that council! They're all there for themselves!" Daemon sneered.

"I am aware of that, but I am not," Harrison tilted his head back.

"Then you are going to be sorely disappointed as the years go on when the reality of politics hits you," Daemon snorted.

"You mean the politics that had me sold off and packaged away far from my home at 10 to be married off to a complete stranger!" Harrison shouted, and Daemon was truly shocked, he had not heard Harrison raise his voice. He turned to see Harrison was truly furious. "Do not mistake my integrity for stupidity, I am not stupid, and I know how this works! Play the game however it is that you want to play it, Prince Daemon, just do not expect me to play it any other way than my way!"

"People will take advantage of that integrity and hurt you with it!" Daemon grit out.

"That is my choice to make, my risk to take," Harrison shrugged.

"And for those that rely on you?" Daemon snapped, and before Harrison's angry answer could be returned he added more honestly. "For those that care for you?"

"Those that care for me should not ask for me to be anything but who I am. They should understand that I can not be any different," Harrison stepped back and turned his head away.

"And that is it, we will be left to deal with the consequences," Daemon asked a lot calmer.

"I am sure that you will find someone else to support you, especially when my loyalty seems to be so questionable," Harrison turned to face him, crossing his arms over his chest, to protect himself.

"You know how I feel for you! And you are suddenly spending all this time with Aemond and Helaena and will not explain," Daemon threw his arms out in frustration.

"I know what you want from me before you try and marry me off. And I have told you before that Helaena's secret is not mine to tell, I am spending time with them because they are children who want affection and someone to care for them!" Harrison said frustrated.

"BUt have you thought we could help them as well if you told us her secret and…wait what?" Daemon shook his head as his brain caught up with what he had heard.

"You said it yourself that Alicent doesn't care for them, they just want some affection and for an adult to care for them," Harrison shook his head.

"No, the part before that, about what I want from you," Daemon said slowly.

"I am aware what it is you want from me Daemon," Harrison sighed, as though Daemon were the obtuse one, before crossing his arms over his chest again. "I am equally aware that my marriage can be of help to Rhaenyra and that you will ask me to marry again to help,"

"Yes, to me," Daemon said slowly.

"To help you? I thought you would want me marriage to help Rhaenyra and her place?" Harrison frowned confused turning back to look at Daemon, and the Prince shook his head.

"What is it that you think I want from you Harrison?" he asked stepping closer to the younger man.

"Don't Daemon, we both know what it is that you want, and we both know why it is I have not given in despite wanting to," Harrison's arms were less crossed over his chest now and more wrapped around himself in comfort, and Daemon wanted to take all of those who had hurt Harrison before and line them up in front of Caraxes.

"I think we have a misunderstanding here," Daemon said walked swiftly towards Harrison, not pausing once he reached him, instead wrapping his arm around the other's waist and walking him backward rapidly until he had the younger man pressed up against the wall.

He gripped Harrison's chin and tilted his head up, crushing their lips together firmly and kissing him with all the fire that ran through their veins, pressing all the burning heat that he felt for the other into this kiss, but also the tenderness and care that he felt for him.

"I want you to marry me! Only me!" Daemon growled as he ripped their lips apart and stared down into wide green eyes.

"What…but I thought you wanted…" Harrison drew off with a blush coating his cheeks.

"I do want, very badly, I want to make love to you, I want to know what you taste like, I want to know what you look like in the height of pleasure, I want to know what takes you apart and I want to see it happen over and over again. I want to marry you and spend every day with you, I want to go on a million more flights with you, and then a million more, I want to fall asleep with you in my arms, and I want to wake with you in them, I want to love you for the rest of time, and I want to feel all the love that you have in that large heart of yours, I want to know what it is to be loved as your husband," Daemon growled the words out, feeling more dragon than man in that moment as he held Harrison close to him, he shushed him when Harrison seemed to try and stammer something, wanting to finish, wanting to be clear, "I want to have children with you, to see versions of you and I, I want to bring them up with Baela, Rhaena and Johrs, and I want to have a large family together, I want to see you round with our child, and I want to fly together as we take each of them on their first flight together as my mother did with me. I want, Gods willing, to grow old together,"

"I…" Harrison's breath caught in his chest as he processed the words, and his wide green eyes filled with tears as he took in what he was being told. "I thought you wanted fun, that you wouldn't want to…"

"I want to, I want to marry you Harrison. I knew that you wanted me back, but I thought you hesitated because you were unsure of your feelings not mine. I have been courting you, I have been sending you gifts," Daemon said a little confused, even as he tightened his arm around Harrison's waist and cupped his cheek, hoping to provide some comfort in the turmoil that was clearly going through Harrison's head.

"You are a Prince, you can afford those nice things. I have had others send my gifts before because they want to sleep with me, especially when it became clear that Joer had no sexual interest in me, they wanted to sleep with a carrier, with a Targeryen, with a Dragon Rider,"

"I want to sleep with you, Harrison," Daemon quickly shook his head. "I want to sleep with you because of your amazing mind, because of your gentle, loving heart, I want to sleep with you because you fly like nothing else, I want to marry you for all those reasons as well,"

"But I…" Harrison looked so confused that daemon could not resist drawing Harrison to him, pressing his cheek against his chest and cupping his head, hugging him and hoping to comfort him.

"My heart has beat for you alone for months now, it probably started changing its beat for you the first time I saw you," Daemon shook his head and then rested his temple on top of Harrison's dark head. "I love you Harrison, I love you like I have not loved anyone else,"

"But Laena…" Harrison said softly.

"Like you and Joer, we loved each other, we were not in love with each other. But we were happy. I love you, I am in love with you. I sent you those gifts to try and show that, to show what it is that you mean to me, and how much I wanted you. If I had realised that you did not understand their message fully, I would have been more clear, but I did now want you to feel as though I were forcing you," Daemon said softly.

"You normally take what you want," Harrison breathed out softly.

"I do not want to steal your heart, I want you to offer it in exchange for mine," Daemon breathed out.

Harrison pulled back, and Daemon released his grip on him, staring down into those stunning green eyes as they took him in, as they searched across his face and seemed to see everything for the first time, as he realised what it was that Daemon had been offering.

Daemon's own purple eyes fluttered shut and he sucked in a shaky breath when a smaller hand reached up and cupped his cheek, gentle fingers brushing down his temple, tracing over his sharp cheekbones and down along his jaw. It was the first intimate gesture that Harrison had given him, and ridiculously it made his heart speed up and flutter in his chest.

"I was ready to marry again, for politics, to make the right match to help Rhaenyra, I was ready to do what needed to be done," Harrison breathed out.

"And now?" Daemon asked fearfully.

"I want to be loved by you, I want that, I want that future," Harrison's expression was so heartbreakingly open and vulnerable, but more than that hopeful, that Daemon could not have prevented himself from sweeping Harrison into his arms and pressing their lips together again, holding the other close to him.

"I wish that I could slaughter those that have hurt you in the past, offer you their hearts," Daemon sighed, and then pulled back to pout a little at Harrison when the younger man let out a startled laugh. "I am serious,"

"I know you are," Harrison smiled, sweeping his fingers down Daemon's temple again. "I am falling in love with you," he admitted the secret that he had been holding so close to his heart for months now.

The smile on Daemon's face made the breath catch in his chest, and he eagerly moved into the kiss that Daemon pulled him into.

"My idea was not shit by the way," Daemon said nearly half an hour later where they were lying stretched out on Harrison's sofa exchanging kisses and caresses, learning each other.

"It was horrendously shit, not everything can be solved by violence," Harrison chuckled amused.

"Most things can," Daemon grumbled lowering his head to kiss along Harrison's chest, pausing to press extra kisses to the scar on the right hand side.

"Shit idea, and if you think just because I love you I am going to vote with you, you're mistaken," Harrison hummed.

"I will change your mind," Daemon rumbled before dipping his hand under the skirts of Harrison's outfit. He wouldn't, and he knew he wouldn't, but that was part of the reason he loved Harrison.

Harwin stared at Harrison, Daemon and Rhaenyra as the news that they had just given him sank in, as his mind span, and he took in the sorrow and sympathy on their faces.

"No," He shook his head and his knees gave out from under him. Daemon reached forward quickly along with Brennar, one of Harrison's Bear's, and they captured his arms and helped him into a chair.

"I am sorry," Daemon said honestly. "He was a good man,"

"I…but how…" Harwin shook his head.

"Fire, it broke out in the keep and…" Harrison glanced away, the rest did not need saying.

"But how…it isn't…it shouldn't be possible," Harwin shook his head frantically. Rhaenyra reached out and captured his hand, squeezing it tightly and looking at him with loving purple eyes, but there was a fear in them as well, and her grip was a little too tight… "I was meant to be there as well," The thought hadn't even come to him initially with the news of his father's death, but he realised now, he had been meant to be there. Harrison had…

"Did you know?" Harwin turned to look at the younger man.

"I feared, I managed to get you reassigned, I tried but…" Harrison looked so ashamed that Harwin was already shaking his head.

"Thank you…for saving me…for trying…"

"I should have tried harder, I am so sorry Harwin," Harrison frowned. "Your Father was a good, kind man,"

"You did try…that matters," Hawrin gulped. "It was…they did it then?" he felt as though his thoughts were flying as fast as a dragon and crawling as slow as a snail at the same time.

"Yes, I am sorry," Daemon nodded, and Harwin knew he meant it, the Prince didn't mince his words.

"My brother he…" Harwin choked.

"I will find out," Harrison reached out and squeezed his shoulder before turning to leave.

"Harrison," Daemon protested. They had barely been together a week.

"I will be fine," Harrison smiled at him before turning and leaving the rooms.

"He had something to do with it," Harwin clenched his eyes shut and leant forward as nausea rolled through him. Rhaenyra's hand squeezed his even more as she wrapped her arm around his shoulders and tried to offer as much comfort as she could, Daemon put a bucket in front of him before squeezing his shoulder, not saying anything, but there for him.

"How is he?" Harrison asked as he walked into Rhaenyra's rooms and found an exhausted Rhaenyra and Daemon sitting in the chairs.

"We had to get medicine from the Maester to put him to sleep, he is…" Rhaenyra shook her head looking at her feet.

"I am sorry," Harrison reached out and hugged her tightly.

"I have to tell the boys," she squeezed him back.

"We will be there with you," Daemon assured her, reaching out for Harrison and holding him tightly as his lover let go of Rhaenyra and moved towards him. He had been worried for him, but he knew Harrison was more than capable.

"What did you find?" Rhaenyra asked softly as they settled onto the sofa together, their fingers linked.

"Something that I will never recover from," Harrison grimaced. "I sweet talked one of the servants that I have been close to into showing me how to peek into Alicent's rooms," Harrison grimaced.

"What did you see?" Rhaenyra frowned leaning forward.

"Larys Strong sold his father and brother out, to see Alicent's feet," Harrison said.

"Pardon?" Daemon asked incredulously.

"She took her shoes and stockings off and was showing him her feet and he was…he wanked himself off," Harrison blurted out.

"What in the seven hells?!" Rhaenyra choked.

"Yes," Harrison nodded.

"So he gets to see her feet and wanks off, and in exchange for that, he helps her?" Daemon choked.

"I believe so, yes," Harrison nodded.

"And you heard them discussing the death?" Rhaenyra rubbed her eyes.

"Yes, it was them," Harrison nodded.

"I will…"

"Let me deal with this, you both need to be seen not to be involved," Harrison pressed his hand to Daemon's chest.

"It is too dangerous," Daemon shook his head right away. Harrison smiled softly and cupped his cheek.

"Let me deal with it," he said softly.

"I trust you cousin," Rhaenyra nodded.

"I know you can, but…"

"I may have a soft heart as you call it, but when those I care for hurt, I can summon as much fire and blood as needed," Harrison smirked.

"Thank you," Rhaenyra stood shakily. "I need to be with him,"

"We will be right here, if you need anything," Daemon assured her. She took both their hands and squeezed them before she walked to her bedroom.

"We need to guard him," Harrison said softly when the door was shut behind her.

"Hmm, she will be utterly heartbroken should something happen to him," Daemon nodded.

"You can not protect him as Head of the City Watch as much as we would both like I think," Harrison hummed.

"You have an idea?" Daemon asked turning to Harrison.

"Transfer him to my personal guard, all I have are my Bears, we can say that it is to ensure that there is more of a balance, and I can protect him," Harrison suggested.

"That would work," Daemon nodded. "Larys?"

"He won't live," Harrison said simply, but firmly.

"...fire at Harrenhal was horrific, it has taken a good man, the previous well respected Hand of the KIng," Otto Hightower was saying, and Daemon could see that it was taking everything that Harwin had not to start throttling people. "We are all saddened to he…."

"There has been an accident!" A servant came rushing into the throne room, bowing rapidly, and utterly out of breath.

"What accident?" Viserys leant forward.

"Ser Larys Strong!" The servant panted.

Harwin tensed where he was standing, and all of the faces of the Greens snapped over to where Daemon and Rhaenyra were standing.

"What happened?" Alicent demanded.

"He is…he is dead, he fell over the wall of the gardens!" The servant said.

"How?" Otto frowned.

"He was talking with Lord Harrison Mormont-Lannister and his club foot caught on something and he went over the wall!" The servant explained.

"What? Are there any witnesses to this?!" Otto demanded incredulously.

"Ten my Lord Hand," The servant nodded firmly.

"Such a horrific accident on the back of an already horrific one," Viserys shook his head. "I am truly sorry Ser Harwin," he said to the man who was standing blank faced.

"Thank you My King,"

"I know you did it!" Alicent grabbed Harrison and before he could stop her she scratched his face. She yelped in fear when she was slammed against the wall, her arm held at a painful angle that threatened a break if she moved in the wrong way.

"And what are you going to do about it? Tit for tat, at least I had the courtesy to offer him a swift, painless death, he wouldn't barely have known what was happening after I shoved him over the side, his father however burned to death in that place," Harrison snarled.

"He was a traitor," Alicent spat.

"He was utterly loyal to his King, he was not to you and your side, and so he burned. But we both know that is not the reason he died," Harrison shook his hand letting her arm go and wiping his hand on his top as though she were plague ridden.

"And why was it?!" Alicent sneered.

"Because you could not stand to see Rhaenyra happy, you could not stand to see that she had managed to find some happiness, some love. Harwin was meant to be there as well, and he was meant to burn along with his Father who had done nothing but be an honourable man and serve your husband, and Hawrin's only fault was loving Rhaenyra," Harrison shook his head.

"I…. you will not get away with this!" Alicent glared.

"I will, I have witnesses who all agree he fell," Harrison turned and simply walked away, leaving her fuming in his wake.

"What happened to your face?" Daemon snarled walking into Harrison's rooms, a different greeting on his tongue until he saw the inflamed red lines on Harrison's face.

"Alicent," Harrison sighed standing.

"She could have done much worse!" Daemon felt chilled as he walked over to Harrison, imagining that the Queen had had a dagger in her hand, he had seen the madness in her eyes when she had taken Viserys' dagger and been stopped by Rhaenyra from taking Lucerys' eye in revenge for Aemond losing his.

"I am ok," Harrison smiled gently cupping Daemon's face and drew him in for a gentle kiss.

"You may not have been though," Daemon protested through the kisses. "Harrison," He pulled back and cupped Harrison's face, careful of the cuts on them as he scanned over his face. "I do not know what I would do if I lost you,"

"Daemon…" Harrison was smiling a little in comfort, shaking his head but Daemon shook his own blond head and interrupted.

"No, I mean I truly do not know what I would do,"

"What do you mean?" Harrison asked in confusion.

"I truly believe that if they did something to harm you I would take Caraxes and make sure that they were all dead, I would slaughter them all with Dark Sister. I love you, so much, If they harmed you…" Daemon sucked in a deep breath as the thought of Harrison being hurt washed over him.

"I am here, I am fine," Harrison assured him, pulling him into a kiss again, this time immediately opening himself up to Daemon and surrendering to him, allowing the other to devour him as the fear he was feeling at would could have happened washed through him.

Harrison gasped into Daemon's mouth when his back slammed against the wall and right away Daemon yanked down his flared trousers, leaving him only with the fabric attached to his waist and trailing down like a skirt on his lower half.

The blond Prince gripped his legs and lifted him, wrapping his legs around his waist as he kissed him again, taking him apart with his lips, making him groan into his mouth with the passion being pressed into the kiss, the hard flesh that pressed against his own moments later made him groan even louder.

Daemon shoved his trousers down his legs and held onto Harrison even tighter as he thrust against him, as their hard flesh pressed together and he swallowed the sound of pleasure that fell from Harrison's lips.

"Daemon," Harrison begged.

"I wish that I could press inside of you, I wish that I could feel you, feel how hot you are, how tight," Daemon groaned, thrusting his hips in a growingly frantic pattern.

"Yes, yes, please!" arousal was washing through Harrison now, and then thing that he had been wanting more and more recently, laid out in front of him like that was what he wanted more than anything right now.

"We can not," Daemon growled. "No matter how much I want it, not until the time is right," He snarled and his lips latched onto Harrison's throat.

"Daemon!" Harrison wrapped his arms around his head and held it to his chest, his hips moving with Daemon's as their erections rubbed between their stomachs, pleasure firing through his body, so close but not quite there.

Panting he tipped his head back and closed his eyes, licking his lips and humming at the pleasure washing through his body as he rocked with his lover before he cried out as he suddenly came when Daemon sank his teeth into his chest and bit down firmly.

"We're a mess," Harrison sighed a few moments later as he slipped to his feet and looked down at where the two of them were covered in the evidence of their pleasure.

"I will clean you up," Daemon smiled leaning down to kiss him.

"I can't wait for you to make love to me, to be inside of me," Harrison murmured against his lips.

"I may pass out if I get hard again this soon, and if you say things like that I will not be able to stop myself getting hard," Daemon whined, pressing his face into Harrison's throat who started laughing, wrapping his arms around Daemon and hugged him close.

"I suggest a marriage between Lord Harrison and Lord Daemon," Corlys announced, and Daemon turned wide eyed to look at his father-in-law.

"That is a good idea!" Several of those gathered murmured their agreement.

"I do not believe that it is the best idea for use of marrying Lord Harrison or Prince Daemon," Otto tried to argue.

"Binding them together, with their positions and their bloodlines would be a boon for the crown," Runciter argued.

"What do you think Prince Daemon?" Viserys asked, turning to Daemon, who was still feeling a little wrong footed. He turned wide eyed to his brother, and he thought of several clever things that he could say to his brother, and he thought of about 16 arguments he could start making for what he wanted.

But then he turned to look at Harrison, he looked into his green eyes and the gentleness there, he could practically see his warm heart through those eyes.

"May I approach and speak to you in private brother?" Daemon turned back to Viserys who blinked at him, shocked at the tone and the words, but he nodded and waved Daemon forward. The Prince cleared the space between them and walked up the stairs of the throne to reach his brother while thinking what to say.

"What is it?" Viserys asked.

"It is a good idea politically for me and Harrison to get married, yes our marriage to others could be more politically wise, but us marrying each other would make a strong political match to support you, and to support Rhaenyra," Daemon said slowly.

"But?" Viserys asked, showing that he still knew him well.

"But more than that," Daemon turned and looked at Harrison who was looking up at him watching them with his hands clenched tightly together to stop him worrying at them with his nerves. "I love him brother," Daemon admitted turning back to Viserys. His brother's eyes widened in shock at the confession.

"You love him?" Viserys asked.

"I do, I know that this should be politics at the end of the day, and I know that I have not been good at sacrificing myself for politics, but Harrison has been, and he loves me too. We love each other, and more than anything I want to be his husband," Daemon nodded.

"You're in love with each other?" Viserys asked with a soft smile.

"Yes brother, we are. He is so close to the girls as well, and I am coming to care greatly for Johr," Daemon dropped to his knee in front of Viserys, watching his brother's purple eyes widening in shock. "I know that I have not always been the best brother to you, and I know I have rebelled in the past. But I swear I will be loyal to you and Rhaenyra for the rest of my life if you allow me this, if you allow me to marry the man that I love,"

"Daemon," Viserys reached forward and took his brother's hands squeezing them them as tightly as he could with his weakened grip. "I want you to swear something to me," the old man licked his lips.

"Anything," Daemon nodded.

"I want you to swear that you will guard Rhaenyra, that you will stand by her side, make sure she makes it onto the throne, and guard her when she is Queen," Viserys said.

"I swear," Daemon said quickly.

"Stand," Viserys pulled him to his feet. Daemon turned and looked down at the hall, though his eyes were only for Harrison who was staring wide eyed at him, knowing what it would have done to his pride to drop to his knees like that in front of his brother, and he could see Harrison realised finally exactly how much he loved him. "Prince Daemon and Lord Harrison will be married!" Viserys declared to the room.

There was a murmuring that went over the room, both positive and negative at the announcement, but Daemon had eyes for no one except for Harrison whose green eyes were shining, and a smile of joy was brightening his face more and more.

"Brother, some advice," Viserys said softly. "I loved Aemma more than life itself, but I took for granted my time with her. Appreciate every day, appreciate every moment with him," Viserys squeezed his shoulder.

"I will," Daemon nodded.

"Go to him," Viserys smiled, nudging him gently.

"Thank you," Daemon said with all the gratitude that he was feeling, all the love that he felt for his brother, before he hurried down the steps of the throne to Harrison. He didn't stop his momentum, wrapping his arms around Harrison's waist and took him off his feet, spinning him around before pressing their lips together.

The mutterings through the throne room, and the delighted laugh from his brother was all background noise, instead all he could think of was Harrison being in his arms, his lips against his own, and the fact that they were going to be married.

The hammering on the door to Rhaenyra's rooms startled them all from where they had been organising the wedding, well Rhaenyra and Daemon had been, Harrison looked as though he were going to pass out from boredom at any point, Harwin had already been snoring, though he jerked awake at the hammering, or what sounded more like kicking of the door.

"Harrison! The guards said you are here! Harrison!" Aemond's frantic voice came through the door, and before Daemon could stop him his fiance was on his feet and racing to throw the door open.

Baela, Rhaena, Jacaeyrs, Lucerys and Johr all sat up and stared when Aemond hurried into the room with Helaena in his arms. She was having what looked like a fit, and his one eye was wide with what was clearly fear.

"This is never happened before!" Aemond said, and his voice was terrified.

"Daemon pass me as many blankets as we have, Harwin, place some cushions down onto the floor by the fire!" Harrison said, slamming the door shut and tugging Aemond over to the fire. "Let no one in!" He ordered his Bears.

Aemond clung to Helaena as he followed Harrison, the young girl still fitting making it hard for him to hold onto her. He was panting and sweating, and had clearly raced through the Keep to get to Harrison.

"Place her down here," Harrison said gently laying the blankets that Daemon past him onto the floor in front of the fire.

"Can you help her?" Aemond knelt down with Harrison's help but clung onto his sister.

"I am going to try," Harrison said honestly.

Aemond paused, looking young and scared as he held onto Helaena before he placed her down. Harrison moved quickly, wrapping her tightly in the blankets, almost as though he were swaddling a baby, he ripped a strip from his skirts and bound it tightly around Helaena's eyes, completely blindfolding her, before he leant over her and started muttering into her ear as he held her in place with Aemond's help so that she didn't hurt herself.

"What is going on? Can we do something to help? Is she having a seizure?" Rhaenyra asked concerned.

"Harrison trusts you," Aemond looked at them all.

"We just want to help her," Daemon said honestly.

"She is a dreamer," Aemond said as Harrison's mutterings to the girl picked up speed.

"A dreamer?" Rhaenyra repeated.

"Yes she is!" Aemond said defensively.

"I wasn't doubting you, there hasn't been a dreamer in the family in a long time, I am just surprised," Rhaenyra held her hands up to her brother. "This hasn't happened before?"

"No!" Aemond shook his head.

"Helaena, what you are seeing isn't happening now, it is a vision, come back, follow my voice and come back, pull yourself out Helaena," Harrison called, he rested his hand over her bound eyes, and he closed his eyes, letting out a slow breath.

With a cry Helaena gave one terrifyingly massive jerk before she started sobbing. Harrison took his hand away and ripped off the blindfold, tugging away the blankets before pulling the girl into his lap, wrapping his arms tightly around her and rocking back and forth as he hugged her.

"It burned, it all burned, everyone died, it burned, everything burned, everyone died," Helaena sobbed.

"Shhhh, take a breath sweet girl, take a breath," Harrison said calmly.

"I think she wet herself," Baela said quietly, "I will go and get some water," she said as Aemond flared up to shout.

"I will get some towels," Lucerys hurried away.

"I have a change of dress here," Rhaena nodded, moving to get it.

Aemond blinked as he watched the others hurrying around to get things to help Helaena and make her more comfortable.

"Everyone died, everyone died," Helaena was still sobbing, now shaking in Harrison's arms.

"I will make sure that doesn't happen Helaena," Aemond took his sister's hands.

"You died horribly," Helaena sobbed.

"He's right here, he is alive and well," Harrison comforted her.

"But it comes true, it all comes true," Helaena said frantically.

"Not all dreamers visions have to come true, some can be changed, we just have to follow a different pathway to lead to what you saw," Harrison hugged her tightly.

"It was horrible, it was horrible, so much death and pain and blood and fire, my children, everyone," Helaena sobbed. Harrison snatched Daemon's hand and brought it to the girl's eyes and the Prince quickly clamped his hand down as Harrison's unspoken request, glad that he could do something to help as Harrison reached out and took Aemond's hand and brought it to Helaena's, the teen obviously glad to have something to do to help as Harrison went back to hugging her tightly.

"Listen to me breathing Helaena, listen to to me breaths and follow them, calm down sweet girl, it is going to be ok, we are going to do everything that we can to prevent that from happening, it is going to be ok, it is going to be ok, take deep breaths for me, take deep breaths," Harrison said, and slowly but surely she calmed.

Harwin walked in carrying a half full bath that Baela had organised, he walked through to Rhaenyra's bedroom carrying the heavy weight but managing with his renown strength, coming out to nod to Harrison.

The younger man stood and with Rhaenyra, Baela and Rhaena ahead of them he carried Helaena through to bathe her and help her change.

"Here," Daemon poured some tea and placed extra sugar in it, reaching down to pull Aemond to his feet and help him to sit down before pressing the cup into his hand.

"I am fine," Aemond snapped.

"I would throw up if I saw Rhaena or Baela, or any of the others like that," Johr said honestly, pressing some chocolate into Aemond's hand, "Papa always says that chocolate makes us feel better, I will save the bigger piece for Helaena, but you need it as well,"

"Thank you," Aemond said confused.

"You have been helping her through this yourself?" Daemon asked Aemond.

"Mother doesn't see it, she wouldn't believe us, and Father isn't interested," Aemond muttered.

"You did really well," Daemon said in answer, not going to argue with what they all knew was true.

"Don't patronise me!" Aemond spat.

"I am not, you looked after your sister, and you got her help when you realised you needed it, you did a good job," Daemon said calmly.

"I knew Harrison would help," Aemond muttered taking a bite from the chocolate in his hand.

"Any of us will help now if you need it," Daemon assured him.

"So you can use her dreaming abilities!?"

"Because she is my niece, Harrison is right, she is special, but this is a very difficult gift to live with, if she needs help or support and I can offer it, I will," Daemon shook his head.

"Why? We are your enemy!" Aemond glared at Daemon, and the Prince wanted to smack himself.

"You are children, you are my brother's children, you are Rhaenyra's siblings, you aren't our enemy, your mother and grandfather are, we don't want to take that fight to you, or to our children, though we are doing a poor job with that," Daemon sighed.

"Did…" Aemond licked his lips and looked down at the tea in his hands. "Harrison won't confirm or deny it,"

"What is it?" Daemon asked.

"Did mother and grandfather have Ser Lyonel killed?" Aemond asked quietly.

"Yes, they did," Daemon answered as gently as he could. He was proud of Rhaenyra's boys, he could see them fighting back the initial urge to speak on hearing the question, and they took a couple of breaths before realising that the question was coming from a genuine place.

"I liked Ser Lyonel, he was always kind and decent to me and Helaena,"

"He thought a lot of the both of you," Harwin smiled sitting down on the sofa nearby.

"I am sorry," Aemond frowned.

"It isn't your fault at all, as Daemon said, you are children, this has nothing to do with you," Harwin shook his head.

"But it will," Aenond frowned at the door that Helaena was behind, all of them able to imagine what it was that she had seen.

"Alicent will go mad if she finds out that they're here," Daemon said softly as Harrison stepped out of the guest room, shutting the door behind himself before making his way over to Daemon.

"I don't care, I want her close in case she needs me," Harrison shook his head before coming to stand beside Daemon. "Are you angry with me?" he asked nervously, licking his lips as his green eyes scanned over Daemon's face.

"Because you kept it from us?" Daemon asked, reaching up and taking Harrison's hand, drawing him down into his lap. "You were right when you said it wasn't your secret to tell, something like that was her secret to tell, or Aemond's in this case,"

"I wanted to tell you, but it wouldn't have been right," Harrison straddled his lap and wrapped his arms around his shoulders, still looking concerned.

"I understand," Daemon shook his head. "How do you see it though? What did you do to bring her back?"

"I honestly don't know, I have been able to see who people are, I have been able to see into them since I was young, Joer used to say I could see into people's souls, but I don't think it is anything like that. I just…saw it," Harrison frowned, his mind seemingly a million miles away, "I don't really know what I did to pull her back it just felt right to do it,"

"I am glad that you were here and could help her," Daemon cupped Harrison's face and pulled him back.

"They just want a bit of love and understanding. Aegon I think is too self centred, but they're good children," Harrison said softly looking down at Daemon.

"I have never wanted to go against them, they're Viserys' children as well, I just have known how to try and get close to them without war breaking out, and now they will think that the only reason I want to do so is because Helaena is a dreamer," Daemon sighed.

"I just want them to feel safe," Harrison said.

"We will do everything that we can to make sure that they do, and that they're safe," Daemon smiled drawing Harrison down into a kiss, "I promise,"

Aemond slipped away from the door as the sounds of kissing reached his ears, he moved across the room and back to where Helaena was sleeping exhaustedly, laying down at the foot of the bed to watch over her in case she had a nightmare, he thought over the conversation that he had overheard.

"Where are my children?!" Alicent demanded, and Daemon wanted to sigh.

"They are currently in Harrison's rooms, Helaena was unwell and Harrison has been looking after her, Aemond has been staying with her as well," Daemon answered calmly.

"Helaena is sick?" Viserys asked concerned.

"She has been for the last four days, she is getting better though, Harrison has been caring for her," Daemon nodded.

"You did not know that our daughter had been sick for four days?" Viserys frowned turning to Alicent. Daemon suppressed the urge to point out that Viserys hadn't realised his daughter was sick either, as frustrated as he was, he couldn't risk alienating his brother right now.

"They have taken them!" Alicent spat out.

"They didn't, I took Helaena to Harrison because she was sick, and Harrison has been looking after us recently, we have been staying with him, and with Uncle Daemon because they have been caring for Helaena," Daemon turned to the speaker and watched Aemond walking over to them.

"Aemond!" Alicent snapped. "I would have looked after her!"

"Helaena was really sick and I was worried, you haven't looked after us when we have been sick, ever," Aemond stopped by Daemon, and stepped closer. The Prince could feel the fear going through the young Prince at confronting his mother like this, uncaring of the accusations that would come, and mainly hoping that Aemond would not shrug him away, Daemon reached out and rested his hand on Aemond's shoulder. Squeezing when his touch was not rejected.

"What have you done to my son and daughter!"

And there was the accusation.

"He has been looking after us," Aemond answered, "and I want to stay with him for a little longer, and Helaena wants to as well!"

"I want a Maester to look at Helaena, but if staying with Harrison is what they want, I can not see any issue with it," Viserys frowned.

"The Maester is more than welcome, though as I said, she is on the mend," Daemon nodded.

"She is my daughter!" Alicent snapped.

"And she wants to stay under Harrison's care!" Aemond straightened his back as he faced his mother, as he challenged her, and Daemon squeezed his shoulder a little more in comfort.

"Come," Daemon drew Aemond away, leading him through the hall and out into the corridors until he found an empty room that he led the confused teen into, and then he tugged the teen into a tight hug.

"What are you doing!" Aemond spluttered, floundering and trying to push away from Daemon.

"Hugging you, I think you could do it. It is not easy to stand up to those we care about," Daemon said not realising his grip on the boy.

"I don't care for her!" Aemond protested.

"You do, or you care for what you wanted her to be in your life, standing up to her for you and your sister, it takes a lot of courage," Daemon held on as Aemond thrashed around in his hold, pushing against him and shoving at his chest until they were both panting with exertion.

He hoped that he was doing the right thing, he hoped that he was doing what Aemond truly needed and that he was not going to cause more harm to the boy. He thought that Aemond needed this, but he couldn't be sure.

All of a sudden Aemond went limp in his arms, and Daemon was about to release him, sure that he had done the wrong thing, when Aemond's arms wrapped around him and he gripped onto the back of Daemon's coat with such a tight grip that the elder Prince was sure that the fabric was going to rip.

The young teen pressed his face into Daemon's shoulder and Daenon tightened his grip even more on the boy, squeezing him tightly and holding him as what he was sure was sobs racked through his body. He cupped the back of the boy's head and held onto him as firmly as he could.

He cursed himself for not seeing before how in need of some action and care his brother's children were in need of. There was something…off with Aegon, something broken that Daemon thought was not repairable, but Aemond and Helaena were not that far gone, and they wanted and needed love and affection. He had been the one to tell Harrison that Alicent did not really care for her children except for the fact that she had had the King's children and done her duty. How had he not seen how desperate for affection they were? How much they needed it? As much as he protested that he had not seen them as part of the fight going on, he had, and he had treated them as part of the Green side, instead of his niece and nephew.

"I am sorry," Daemon said softly.

"For what?" Aemond demanded, trying to pull away again, and he had definitely been crying. Daemon held onto him and pressed his face into his nephew's hair.

"I am sorry that it took Harrison coming in and showing me what an idiot I am for me to realise that I should have been here for you, I should have been supporting you, I should have been there for you. I will now though, I promise,"

"I don't need you to!" Aemond shouted shoving at Daemon again and this time he allowed it and stepped back, but he reached out and gripped his nephew's shoulder and looked into his eye.

"But I want to be," Daemon said firmly. Aemond looked to the side but Daemon carried on anyway, "you are my niece and nephew I want to be here for you, to help you, to support you. I don't want you to have to do these things by yourself and to not have the support and care that you deserve,"

"You're just saying that, to make…Harrison happy or to…" Aemond cut off, his eye narrowed at Daemon.

"I understand you being suspicious, all I ask if that you give me a chance to prove that I am doing this because you're my nephew, and I care for you, and I want to do better by you," Daemon smiled.

"Fine." Aemond spat the word out, but something hopeful formed in his lavender eye, and Daemon swore to himself, on Caraxes, that he would do everything that he could not to let him down.

"Everything ok?" Harrison asked when he and Aemond walked into Harrison's rooms not long later, he and Helaena were on the sofa, Harrison sitting with Helaena laying down on it with her blonde head resting on his lap. He was combing his fingers through her hair while reading his book.

"Viserys wants a Maester to come and have a look at Helaena, Alicent is spitting feathers that they're here," Daemon said leaning down to kiss Harrison, before reaching down to rest his hand gently on Helaena's head, the girl looked at him with surprised, wide purple eyes as he moved to drop himself down onto the other sofa.

"And where did you go?" Harrison looked at Aemond with a raised eyebrow as the teen dropped down on the floor in front of Helaena.

"To help, I knew Daemon was going to to get attacked," Aemond huffed.

"Daemon is big enough and ugly enough to look after himself, you didn't need to," Harrison said firmly.

"Hey!" Daemon protested getting a giggle from Helaena.

"I needed to stand up to her," Aemond shook his head.

"Are you ok?" Harrison asked leaning forward to cup Aemond's chin.

"Yes," Aemond nodded, and then he scrunched his nose and admitted confusedly, "Daemon hugged me,"

Harrison raised his eyebrow and looked at Daemon, a soft smile forming on his lips, "he did, did he?"

"Yes," Aemond nodded.

"And were you ok with it?" Harrison asked gently.

"It felt weird," Aemond said, and Daemon felt those words like a stab to his heart.

"Can…" Helaena started to say and then clamped her mouth shut so quickly that they heard her teeth clack together.

"Can what?" Daemon asked.

"It doesn't matter," she shook his head.

"I think it does," Harrison gently tugged her hair as she sat up, looking incredibly uncomfortable.

"I was planning on reading, it is one of my favourite books, but Harrison believes that it is boring," Daemon made a show of picking up the book sitting on the table in front of him without making it mocking, he grabbed the blanket from the back of the sofa and held it up. "Would you like to read it with me?"

Helaena glanced at Harrison to make sure that he would not be offended or upset, but seeing his smile she slipped across to where Daemon was patiently waiting and sat down beside him, and there sat there straight backed and clearly at a loss. Daemon threw the blanket over their laps before wrapping his arm around her shoulders and gently guiding her to rest against him as he opened the book one handed and immediately started reading out loud.

Harrison went back to his own book, glancing over it now and then to see Helaena relaxing in increments into Daemon until she was resting her head on his shoulder and listening to him read. Aemond leant slightly against Harrison's leg, only just, Harrison barely knew that he was there, but he leant against him and he listened to Daemon read as well.

Nearly an hour later the door slammed open disturbing the peace, and Rhaena, Baela, Lucerys, Jacaerys and Johr tumbled into the room laughing and talking loudly to each other. Harrison watched sadly as Helaena and Aemond tensed so quickly and so hard it looked as though it hurt.

"Are you reading a story father?" Baela asked dropping down in front of the fire, Rhaena dropped down on Helaena's other side after grabbing a brush.

"May I comb and braid your hair, it is so pretty," she asked, Helaena blinking confused and nodding. "Rest your head back down," she gently pressed Helaena's head right back down onto Daemon's shoulder before she started brushing her hair again.

Johr dropped down practically on top of Harrison's feet and so right next to Aemond, nearly shoulder to shoulder, and so rested their shoulders together.

"What is it like riding Vhagar?" he asked breathlessly.

"It is…like nothing else," Aemond said after a moment.

"What has your favourite time been riding her?" Johr pressed, and Harrison watched proud as the siblings relaxed again as the conversation carried on, but they were included in it.

"It is lucky that I know you want to marry me," Daemon said amused as Harrison's eyes fluttered open and took in Daemon standing over him. The older man reached out and brushed Harrison's hair from his face.

"Did I snore?" Harrison asked.

"A little," Daemon smiled.

"I am glad that you have the mind for planning all of these things," Harrison smiled, pulling Daemon down by the lapels of his cout.

"If you think kisses are going to make me feel better about you snoring your way through the planning of our wedding, I hope you know that I will require a lot more kisses," Daemon snorted.

"There is just so much," Harrison groaned.

"I want to get it done before anyone can change their minds or challenge it," Daemon sighed, he pulled Harrison to his feet and combed his fingers through Harrison's dark hair. "I wish that we could just go and marry, in the way of our ancestors, just you, me, our children, Rhaenyra, Harwin and Nyla,"

"But we can not, we need to do this properly," Harrison smiled in understanding.

"Two weeks and you will be my husband, and I will be yours," Daemon smiled pulling Harrison in for another long and lingering kiss.

"I swear our rooms are a revolving door," Harrison sighed when their kiss was interrupted with banging on the door.

Rhaenyra and Harwin swept in, and the merriment moved from Daemon and Harrison's faces when they saw the expression on their faces.

"I am pregnant again," Rhaenyra said quickly as soon as the door was shut behind them.

"I would love the teenager who was so disgusted by pregnancy and babies to see you now," Daemon sighed.

"We need to get Laenor back here as soon as possible," Harrison said.

"He is jousting in the Free Kingdoms, he will not come back until he is done," Rhaenyra shook her head.

"I beg your pardon?" Harrison said lowly.

"Even I could not get him to come back," Daemon sighed, scrubbing his face.

"Right," Harrison said slowly. Then he grabbed Daemon and pulled him down into a firm kiss. "You finish planning our wedding, and I will return with our dearest cousin who we can not possibly have the wedding without him being present," Harrison nodded, hurrying to his rooms and throwing a few things together.

"Harrison he will not come back with you, he has won the last three of these tournaments that he has attended, he will not give that up," Rhaenyra shook her head.

"I will return with him," Harrison said firmly, reaching out to hug her, and then a surprised Harwin, "Congratulations,"

"Harrison," Rhaenyra said slowly.

"Make sure he doesn't go too over the top," Harrison grinned tugging Daemon into one more kiss.

"You're just trying to escape the wedding planning," Daemon snorted. "Be careful,"

"I will," Harrison smiled, kissing him sweetly one more time, before he hurried towards the balcony and threw himself over the edge of it.

"I really hate when he does that," Rhaenyra grimaced.

"You have no idea," Daemon sighed as Kastafyre shrieked and flew into the air.

"How does she even know that he needs her?" Harwin asked.

"Their bond," Rhaenyra smiled.

"He is right by the way, congratulations," Daemon turned and smiled at the couple.

"Thank you," Rhaenyra pressed her hand to her stomach.

"Hopefully you can manage to make a blonde one this time,"

"Uncle!" Rhaenyra spluttered as Daemon laughed.

"It is done," Harrison said looking at Daemon.

"It is," Daemon nodded. He took a step closer, and then another step, one more and he wrapped his arms around Harrison's waist and tugged him against him sealing their lips together and devouring his husband.

Harrison groaned into this mouth and reached up to grip Daemon's blond hair, trying desperately to pull him closer, to get more of him. Daemon hummed into his mouth, his own passion fueled for his husband, for his Harrison.

Ripping away their clothing, uncaring of the thought that had gone into them, the hours of works, and the symbolisation that had been so important to him when he had been designing them, all Daemon cared about now was that they were standing between him being about to touch Harrison fully.

He ripped off the chain that was around Harrison's waist, the tinkling of charms filling the room as he threw the belt to the side and then the sound of ripping followed him gripping the ties of Harrison's outfit and yanking it open. Not stopping until they were standing naked in front of each other, panting from the force of their kisses and their despite for each other.

This felt so different, even though he had Harrison had made love, even though he had seen the other naked, he had seen him in pleasure, even though he had mapped his body and he had kissed every inch of it at least twice, this was different. They had never had penetrative sex, not matter how much he had desired it, he would not risk their chance of marriage by Harrison falling pregnant, and he would not dishonour him like that.

Now they were married.

No he could finally know what it felt like to be inside of Harrison, to be joined to him completely, in the bestest of ways, now he knew what it would feel to be utterly bound to him.

"Daemon," Harrison shivered, desire burning through him, at his husband standing naked and proud in front of him, his erection standing heavy, red and leaking against the blond's stomach, the look that he was giving Harrison, the look that was caressing over his skin as Daemon drank him in made Harrison burn even hotter.

Daemon groaned and moved forward, wrapping his arms around Harrison and lifted him off of his feet, carrying him towards the bed without pausing his stride. The sinful sound that Harrison let out at the move was truly desire itself, and Daemon threw him down onto the bed, their bed, before climbing on top of him, sealing their lips together again, creating, and drinking in, more and more of those sounds.

"Please, Daemon!" Harrison part begged and part demanded in panting breaths when Daemon had three fingers inside of him, his slick easing the way for his husband to stretch him open, getting him ready for him. He was red with passion and desire, his own erection hard and demanding, and all he wanted was for them to be joined as he looked up at his handsome husband. "I need you!" he groaned.

"Manipulative," Daemon growled, knowing Harrison had said the words that he knew would get Daemon to give. They worked too well, and Daemon used the slick on his fingers to slick himself before pressing his head to Harrison's entrance, and then had to take a breath to calm himself down so that this did not end too quickly.

"Make love to me, my love," Harrison smiled beautifully at him, his dark hair mussed from the neat braids that Daemon's daughters had twisted it into hours ago now, his green eyes shining with happiness, with desire, and more importantly with love as he gazed up at Daemon.

Slowly Daemon slid inside of his husband, his breath catching in his chest at the feeling of joining with Harrison, at the feeling of finally being inside of the hot, tight heat of his husband. Rocking slowly he eased the last inch of his erection inside of Harrison and groaned loudly as he was finally buried to the hilt inside of the man that he loved more than life itself.

"I love you too, more than you will ever know," Harrison said softly, and Daemon realised that he had been speaking out loud. He opened purple eyes that he had not realised his had closed to look down at his husband who was smiling at him with such a look of love on his face that Daemon needed to kiss him right there. "I love you, more than anything I love you, more than flying, more than my own life, I love you," Harrison muttered against his lips.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, you are everything to me, you are my life, you are the brightness in it, I can not imagine existing without you," Daemon sighed against Harrison's lips. "I would burn everything for you," he shook his head.

"Make love to me," Harrison rocked his hips against Daemon's. The blond pulled back slightly and then thrust back into Harrison, slowly withdrawing more and more of himself before thrusting back in until he built up a pounding rhythm as the two of them clung to each other.

He had wanted their love to be slow and gentle, he had wanted it to be soft, but he realised that had been a foolish thought, the two of them were from fire, the two of them had the fire of their dragons burning through their veins, and their relationship, their passion and their heat burned hot between them, for all their soft moments, they had the constant boiling of desire between them. He gripped Harrison's hip with one hand, holding the thigh of his other leg so tightly that he knew he was going to leave bruises as he pounded into Harrison, listening to the sounds of pleasure that fell from his lips, watching green eyes drinking in his own expressions of pleasure as they both fell closer and closer to the completion of their lovemaking.

Harrison started making little punched out noises that Daemon had never heard before, his green eyes fluttering shut as his head dropped back into the pillow, exposing his pale throat to Daemon, probably one of a handful of people that would risk exposing their throat to the Rogue Prince, before he cried out, spilling between them.

"Stunning," was the only thing Daemon could say before he was tipped over the edge himself. Slamming into Harrison, he spilled inside of him, his hips still thrusting desperately in his passion, longing to be deeper inside of his love, his husband.

"Stay," Harrison part demanded, part requested, not opening his eyes, reaching down to cup Daemon's arse and holding him in place when his husband went to withdraw. "Just a little longer, stay inside of me,"

"After that request you're lucky I am not hard again," Daemon chuckled, fluttering kisses up the side of Harrison's throat until he could press their lips together, softer and gentler now.

"I love you," Harrison sighed contently into his mouth.

"I love you too," Daemon smiled against his lips.
