"Come on Loki, let's see you do some magic." said Darcy excitedly.

"For the last time, I am not going to recklessly do something I may later regret." said Loki completely annoyed. "You know how much more powerful my magic has become ever since my recovery. Do you really believe I am going to use my powers for this?"

"Please, if we don't do it then we'll be doomed." begged Darcy.

"I highly doubt it would catastrophic if we lose every container of ice cream in your refrigerator." said Loki annoyed. "I fail to see why you couldn't hold off purchasing anything until you finally decide it's time to purchase one."

All Loki and Darcy can do is stare at the refrigerator right in front of them and hear it rumble, to the point it even starts to shake. As if there is suddenly an Earthquake that is about to shake the apartment as if nothing is going to stop them. Since there is an ongoing feud about the fridge that both Loki and Darcy are determined to win, especially when it reaches to a certain issue on Loki using his powers. But the fridge isn't the only thing that change, ever since they both returned from Avengers Tower after the final battle on Titan, Loki's recovery from the Soul Stone three months ago, Loki and Darcy have returned to being roommates and getting closer than ever before.

"Loki, how many times do I have to tell you that we don't need a new fridge?" said Darcy. "This one works perfectly fine and besides we can always try to repair it ourselves."

"You tried that many times and according to Stark, Drax could build one and we would not know the difference." said Loki. "I think it's high time you finally purchase a new one."

"Loki, how many times have I told you that this one works great?" said Darcy. "I have a good sense of judgment here."

"Like the time, you had Groot made a mess of the apartment and you tried to cover it up?" said Loki annoyed.

"That wasn't even my fault, Groot stowed away in my backpack." said Darcy. "Besides, how was I supposed to know you'd figure it out?"

"You placed my books in the wrong order and the logo set I was working on was missing some pieces." pointed out Loki as if it was obvious

"Ok, fair point, you got me there." said Darcy. "I should have told you earlier, but I didn't want you to worry and find our place totally trashed."

"I appreciate it, but I would rather have you tell me about this than having to find out myself." said Loki. "I mean we are in it together, especially after everything that happened. Come on, facing Thanos is worse than coming home and finding my room a mess."

"Yeah, it sure is..." said Darcy softly and finds herself staring at Loki's chest, remembering everything.

"Darcy, are you alright?" asked Loki

"Yeah, but still the fridge is perfectly fine." said Darcy quickly trying to change the subject. "Sure, it's kinda unreliable when it comes to ice cream at the moment, but we have you and your ice powers, so we should be fine."

"We can't use my powers for something as trivial as this." said Loki. "Especially since we are still in the experimental stage of learning on my capabilities, you know my powers and magic is now stronger."

"Only when you use your magic sword thingy." said Darcy. "Besides maybe if you use your magic without it, then maybe it won't be so bad."

"We are not taking our chances with using my magic on foolish notion." said Loki.

"How is saving the ice cream foolish?" asked Darcy. "I mean it's ice cream, it's the awesomest treat in the world. It would be a shame to let it go to waste."

"True, but that does not mean we have to be reckless about it." said Loki. "It is not that big of a problem, you can always buy more."

"Like I have an unlimited amount of money in my back pocket." said Darcy completely annoyed. "We can't just throw it out the window whenever we feel like it."

"I still believe-" starts Loki before he stops himself in disbelief. "Did we just spent a good few minutes arguing about ice cream?"

"Yeah, since you don't want to use your powers to keep it frozen." said Darcy. "I mean I know that you are now a lot more powerful when it comes to your abilities. But still it doesn't mean we have to be afraid of them."

"I am not afraid of my power, I am trying to be responsible and making sure that we don't make one wrong move or else-" starts Loki.

Before he can continue on, all the sudden Loki's phone starts to ring and Loki quickly heads over to go over to reach it. Feeling more and more annoyed by the second, he looks at the screen to find that it's Tony Stark. Wishing that the iron Avenger would choose the old fashion method and simply visit, Loki is still annoyed by the very concept of cell phones and wishes that humans move past phones and find another way to communicate to each other. But he simply gives a sigh and picks up the phone, waiting to hear a response from the other end, trying to maintain his patience and try to make the call as brief as he can. He doesn't want to put up with talking on a phone for any longer than he have to.

"Hello." said Loki, hoping that there is no emergency for him to run over and help.

"We need urgent assistance in bringing me, someone's leg." said a monotone raspy voice.

"Not this again." said Loki with a groan. "Hello Rocket."

"Oh I wish I got to see the look on your face when..." starts Rocket before laughing hysterically.

"Did you take Stark's phone again?" asked Loki in disbelief.

"Call it borrowing it without his permission." said Rocket through fits of laughter. "I love these Terran devices, especially when it comes to this..."

"I am glad that the others didn't discover the art of this tomfoolery." said Loki in a tone that is extremely hard to tell his emotion. "Is that the only reason why you called or do you have news you want to share?"

"Yeah, some good news actually." said Rocket. "We almost have the ship repaired, all we need is a few more pieces and we'll be done."

"Oh, that's good to hear..." said Loki. "When do you plan to have it done?"

"In a few days, once we get it fixed up then we will launch it and make it on our merry way." said Rocket. "So have you decided what is going to be your next move?"

"No, I haven't." said Loki feeling as though he is entering an empty void. "But I will let you know once I made my choice, before you launch the ship."

"Ok, just make it quick, we are going to get this thing running soon." said Rocket. "We are going to need to know how many will be on board so we can get enough supplies for departure."

"Yeah, I will let you know when I have clear idea on my decision soon." said Loki. "I will see you soon."

Once the call ends, Loki puts his phone on the table, completely unsure what might be the best choice for him. Loki always knew that this day will come, that he will have to choose between staying on Earth or leaving it with the Guardians and he still does not know what he should do. Here he is spending all this time living on this planet, finding himself in whatever adventure helping the Avengers in whatever emergency they may need magic or simply enjoying his time with Darcy or helping with the ship, when he should be thinking about whether or not he should leave Earth. The day has finally come and he has no idea on what he should do or what is the best choice for him.

"So, what's the deal with Rocket?" asked Darcy. "What's the exciting news?"

"What in the nine realms make you believe that?" asked Loki.

"From how you were responding to Rocket over the phone." Said Darcy as she looks at him excitedly. "Judging from what is said, it sounds like something exciting is definitely going on."

"I wish it was the case, especially with the circumstances it may bring." said Loki. "It may change everything..."

"Come on, it can't be that bad." said Darcy, about to reach out to Loki before retracting her hand.

"It may be, especially when it comes to you, Thor and Jane or the Guardians if it's the other way around." said Loki giving a sigh. "The Guardians just finished their ship repairs and are ready to launch the ship."

"That's great news Loki, you must be really happy for them." said Darcy. "Especially knowing how long it took for them to fix it, Rocket and Peter are probably ready to start the celebration."

"They must, I can already see him picking out the songs for a farewell party and the start of their voyage." said Loki. "But that's not what I am now thinking about, since there is still the choice I have to make."

"What choice?" asked Darcy completely confused, while cringing for a moment and putting a hand to her stomach.

"Whether or not I should stay on Earth or not." said Loki.

"Wait, you are still thinking of leaving?" asked Darcy.

"Of course, since that would be the best option to not only preserve my freedom, but to keep you, Thor, Jane and the others safe." said Loki. "At the same time, I don't want to leave all of this behind."

"Then stay, you don't have to go if you don't want to." said Darcy. "We can try to make it work, besides Thor is still here. After everything you guys have been through, are you really ready to let him go again?"

"No, I don't want to leave him, especially not after just getting him back. These past few months have been the best in my entire life." said Loki. "But I don't want to let go of my friends, Darcy aside from you, Thor and Jane, they are the only ones who has ever accepted me for who I was. I never had any of this before, I wish I could somehow not have to choose between one."

"Maybe you don't have to, maybe they will visit and you guys will still get to hang out." Said Darcy. "You don't have to worry about your secret anymore, the Avengers are going to help us keep this secret and everything is going to be alright."

"The Avengers are only keeping this secret because I saved the universe from Thanos and I happen to be Thor's brother, nothing more than that." said Loki. "Have you forgotten what happened the last time my identity has been jeopardize?"

"Relax, I think it's safe to say that the 'who is Mysto and is he Loki' trend is over." said Darcy confidently. "Plus I think at this point, the Avengers pretty much see you as one of them. I mean we have all been through so much together. I can just see it in their eyes, whenever you show up now whether it's to help or hang out, they are cool with you."

"Just because they are ok, it does not mean they accepted me." said Loki. "Especially after everything we have been through, if I am not trying to take over Midgard, then I am masquerading as a hero. Here's the best one out of all of my infractions, accidentally leading a purple giant maniac to the Infinity Stones and nearly dooming the universe as a whole in attempts to stop him."

"Hey, the last part wasn't exactly your fault, there was no way any of us could have predicted that." said Darcy as she cringe, holding her stomach and gives a grunt. "As for everything else, it's safe to say that it's water under the bridge and all is forgiven."

"Maybe, but that does not mean they will ever accept me as an ally or everything towards me, such as who I am." said Loki. "They will only see me as a former adversary who isn't the monster they believed I was."

"No one sees you as a monster..." said Darcy as she cringe. "They see you the same way I see you, a hero and someone who can be more than a label, who he can do anything he sets his mind to."

"I wish you are right, but-" starts Loki as he turns to look at Darcy. "Are you somehow hoping that your words will still be effective as you mock me?"

"What?" said Darcy completely confused. "I am not making fun of you."

"You were making faces as we are having this conversation." said Loki. "Not to mention, you also made a few unflattering grunts as though you believe my feelings are foolish."

"Loki, it's not what you think." said Darcy hastily.

"I am honestly surprised at you, I thought you of all people would understand." said Loki. "Especially having the knowledge of the fact that this decision will majorly impact my future."

"I know, but that's not it." said Darcy. "It's just-"

"What?" asked Loki. "What could possibly be the excuse for your sudden behavior?"

"It's my stomach, it's been hurting for a bit." said Darcy. "It started about an hour or two ago, since I woke up actually, but it's not that bad. I have been doing my best to put up with it."

"How bad?" asked Loki looking deeply concern. "Has the pain worsen since then?"

"A little, but it's not so bad, annoyingly painful though." said Darcy, seeing Loki's concern face, reaching out to touch his right hand. "Hey, it's going to be alright. This may be just something I ate nothing more, I will be fine."

"Darcy, I ate the same meal as you and I am not going through this ailment." said Loki.

"I'm not sick, it's just some kind of indigestion." said Darcy. "It's completely normal for humans to eat something that might give them a upset stomach."

"It's normal for Asgardians as well, but we normally don't experience pain after indigestion." said Loki. "I know for a fact, the same thing applies to humans as well. Just because humans are biologically weaker than Asgardians if they don't have any special abilities, it does not mean all of you are that weak. Maybe there is something else going on-"

"What? No, I'm fine, it will pass, give it an hour or so." said Darcy. "Besides we have bigger things to worry about, like whether or not you are going to stay or not."

"True, but if this is bothering you than maybe you should take it easy." said Loki. "Then maybe it will pass, if you want I can always try to see if I can get more healing potion from Thor. It may help, then-"

"Loki, I don't think that's necessary." said Darcy. "It's just a stomach ache nothing more, we don't need to get the potion for this. Plus Nebula needs this more than me, she is still healing from her concussion and-"

"At this point, Nebula is all healed up and she is managing well without needing the potion." said Loki. "She can remember everything now and the only thing she is complaining about is her headaches. But then it's Nebula being Nebula, I am just happy she is back to being her old self."

"Yeah, she was really guilty about you nearly loosing your soul and grouchy about her headaches." said Darcy. "Oh well, at least she's going to go back to being herself and I am so glad she got through this."

"Me too, she is going to be leaving for space and will be facing many dangers out there." said Loki. "She is going to have to live without having to rely on the healing potion, especially knowing that she is not going to sit around and do nothing when there's something ready to hurt Gamora and the others."

"Yeah, she is not the type who is ready to back down from a fight." said Darcy as she cringe again. "I'm glad that she's alright now..."

"Are you sure you don't want any?" asked Loki. "We are going to have plenty of left overs once they leave and-"

"No, it's fine. This is nothing and it will go away, eventually." said Darcy. "Besides we have lunch with Thor and Jane later today and later on we are meeting up with the Guardians, I am definitely not going to miss out on being with my favorite little tree buddy."

"Really?" asked Loki in complete disbelief.

"Of course, Groot is my favorite tree buddy and I really enjoy spending time with him." said Darcy. "I am so going to miss him when he's gone and I so want to spend some time with him before he leaves."

"As long as you don't have him making a mess of my room again." said Loki annoyed at the thought.

"Hey, it wasn't really my fault." protested Darcy. "How was I supposed to know he got into my backpack?"

"Maybe check it before you left?" suggested Loki.

"Why would I check my backpack for something I didn't even know it's there." said Darcy as she cringes from the pain. "I can't keep checking my bag just to make sure that nothings in it all the time."

"Right. If you want we could cancel and we can-" start Loki.

"Loki, I'll be fine, let's go and have a good day." said Darcy. "Maybe having some food will help and we might as well hang out, since you might be leaving soon, I want to spend as much time with you as possible. Even if I really wish you will stay..."

"I am not sure, but I will figure something out." said Loki. "I just need some time to think."

"Hey, why don't we watch a movie and then we can go and meet up with Thor and Jane." said Darcy as she lets out of a hiss of pain.

"Sure..." said Loki as he looks at her concernly. "Are there any films you have in mind?"

"Did you see Hercules?" asked Darcy rather excitedly.

"I don't believe we have yet." said Loki. "Is it another one from that animation company?"

"Yep, it's Disney, wait until you see it." said Darcy excitedly. "I still can't believe you still haven't seen most of the Disney movies."

"Well the only ones I have seen is Tangled, Snow White and Cinderella. Would the Wars of Stars movies count as well?" said Loki. "Though I am interested in watching the one with the dark fairy who cursed the princess and was cursed as well, it looks good."

"Yeah, I think Star Wars count, since Disney technically owns them." said Darcy sitting on the couch with a groan. "Wait, you mean Maleficent? How about this? We'll watch Hercules first and then we'll watch Maleficent later?"

"Sounds good..." said Loki. "Just let me know if the pain increases alright?"

"I'm fine, it just a cramp." said Darcy as she sits down on the couch, grabbing the remote. "Let's just enjoy the movie."

Loki joins her on the couch rather reluctantly, as she turns on the tv and finds the movie. Once Darcy starts it, they begin to watch it and from the start Loki does not even know what to think of it. Since the story seems compelling, the music is enjoyable and he enjoyed Hades as a character, but the song Hercules sings and his character arc is hitting too close to home. Even then it is entertaining to watch, though he believes that Thor would enjoy it if he ever sits down to watch it, but still it's something he can find himself enjoying if he ever finds it on tv on his own.

Even while watching the movie, he can't help but notice Darcy as she places her hands on stomach, trying to deal with the pain. Looking completely miserable, as she holds her stomach and trying to ignore it. Loki doesn't even know if it's a trick of the light, but he notices Darcy a little pale and she does not look anywhere close to being relived. He can hear a few grunts from Darcy and every single one, makes him feel as though it may be more than a stomach ache and there may be something going on.

Then again, maybe it's nothing and it is something that will simply run it's course and it is simply indigestion. Darcy might be right, she might get better in an hour or so and he might be worrying over nothing. It's not as though he knows much about human biology aside from what he read from books, he knows that Asgardian and human biology is similar, except humans are weaker than Asgardians. Even then it wouldn't go this far, they wouldn't be feeling this ill if they ate something that is this bad or their condition would appear out of nowhere.

Loki is starting to wonder if there is something going on and if it is something they all should be worried about. But they will not do much if he is going to sit around worrying about it, maybe he should just watch the movie and enjoy the tale that is being presented to him. They should try to make the most of the day, he also needs to take some time to think about what he should do next and make a decision on the matter. While Loki does that, he decides to keep an eye on Darcy to make sure she is fine. He only hopes that things somehow magically work out and Darcy is alright, he just hopes he knows for sure...

Two hours later, in the streets of New York

After the movie, Loki and Darcy head on to the restaurant Jane suggested they'd meet and right now they are trying to find it. Darcy is looking right at her phone, trying to see if she can find it, while Loki is following close by hoping that this quest will end. Sure it is a nice break from going around and hunting down Infinity Stones, but he would rather for this to be easier. Since there is many things on his mind and he would rather have that time to think about what may be his choice on whether to stay on Earth or not.

The decision is still bothering him, more and more than it has ever been in his entire life. Loki doesn't want to lose his newfound friends and he doesn't want to leave Thor, Darcy and Jane either. It doesn't even help matters that he has grown fond of Earth and even the Avengers, not that he would ever say it out loud, but they are good allies to have on one's side. He does not know how to choose or if he can even do so, Loki no longer feels alone or can even imagine if he can let either one go or say goodbye to the other. He knows the safe option, but Loki is tempted to stay and never before he has felt at home and wanted to be somewhere then he has now. Loki never felt this lost before his entire life and he doesn't even know what to do or knows what he wants, he doesn't know how to choose between two worlds.

It doesn't help matters that Darcy's stomach pain hasn't stopped and may have gotten a little worst right after the movie ended. There were no words said, but Loki can see it and she is trying her best to hide the pain. If anything she is holding her stomach in one arm and her phone on the other, talking to him about anything she can think of. Probably hoping that he wouldn't notice and they can continue on their day, but he definitely noticed from the occasion silent hiss, cringe and grunt of pain. As though she thinks he can simply forget it and move on to another conversation, but he is not going to fall for that trap. Especially being the person who practically invented that trick if he doesn't want Thor to worry over him, Loki is not going to fall for that one. He has to make sure she's ok and if she's not do something that will help her.

"Yeah, I think we're almost there." said Darcy. "Just one more block and we'll be there."

"Finally, I am starting to wonder why you humans are so dependent on phones." said Loki completely annoyed. "How do we know this is not leading us in the wrong direction."

"You really need to stop hating on phones." said Darcy. "They are really useful, you can do a ton of neat things with them like games, texting and listening to music. Doesn't it sound magical?"

"If magic, you mean an absolute nuisance, then yes it is." said Loki. "I really wish Stark never gave me this contraption, if it wasn't the main source of communication on this planet, I would have thrown it out months ago."

"Hey, someday you are going to find yourself grateful in having one." said Darcy. "It may even help you in something."

"I honestly doubt that, if anything it will continue to be the vain of my existence." said Loki.

"You never know, it may be like how it was with Phil." said Darcy. "You know he never thought that he could train a hero and then at the end of the day, Hercules became the hero he was always meant to be."

"Are we really comparing that potential scenario to a talking half goat's dream of having someone he trains as a constellation?" Asked Loki.

"Yeah, since you never know what might happen and you shouldn't just assume something without knowing it." Said Darcy. "Especially since it might be helpful."

"Darcy, these devices has given me nothing but trouble ever since the beginning." Said Loki. "I do not plan on using it no more than emergencies."

"You know you could work on being a little more positive, I mean Hercules never gave up hope on being a hero. Maybe you should-" starts Darcy before giving a large groan, stopping herself to hold her stomach.

"Darcy, are you ok?" Asked Loki as he stops to look at her. "That has to be the loudest groan yet, I also noticed that you are a little pale."

"I'm fine, it's just this stomach ache is worse than I thought." Said Darcy after a few grunts. "Oh I just realized we didn't have time to see Maleficent. We are so watching that when we get home later."

"Darcy, you can try that trick with me all you want. It's not going to work, I know you are not feeling well." Said Loki. "How bad is your stomach ache?"

"Relax, I am fine." Said Darcy as she leans on a street pole, holding her stomach.

"You are not fine." Said Loki as he rubs her back hoping it would give her some comfort.

"Ok, maybe my stomach ache isn't getting better." Said Darcy. "But maybe this is just the beginning of the end, you know what they say when it can't get worse, it can only get better."

"I don't think it applies in this case." Said Loki thoughtfully. "Maybe we should call Thor and Jane and cancel?"

"What? No, we can't!" Said Darcy hastily.

"Darcy, you are obviously unwell and I should take you home." Said Loki.

"Wait, home?" Asked Darcy as she tries to ignore another painful cramp.

"I meant your home." Said Loki hastily, before acting calmly. "Look, Thor and Jane will understand if we tell them what's going on and maybe with some rest you will-"

"Loki, I don't think it's really necessary. If it's not a stomachache then worst case scenario, it could be a stomach flu." Said Darcy. "It will pass, we don't have to cancel on them."

"Darcy-" starts Loki.

"It's just lunch and I think we can get through it." Said Darcy. "We can have lunch without either of them finding out."

"Exactly how do you propose we do that?" Asked Loki. "It is clearly obvious that you are in pain, you didn't go past a conversation without feeling it."

"Simple, we just have a good time and pay attention to the conversation. " said Darcy. "If we all just talk and hang out, then maybe they won't notice. You guys will enjoy the food so much that you won't even notice me not eating."

"What?" Asked Loki. "You're not hungry?"

"No, I am not hungry." Said Darcy. "I haven't been hungry since yesterday."

"You had breakfast today, didn't you?" Asked Loki.

"Just some cereal and even then it wasn't that much." Said Darcy. "I always feel as though I may barf later."

"You are experiencing stomach pain, with no appetite and feeling nausea and you still want to go out for lunch?" Asked Loki in disbelief.

"Yeah, I do." Said Darcy. "Come on Loki, maybe having some fast food will help. I'm sure if I am in a new environment then maybe things will get better."

"Darcy, I really think-" starts Loki.

"Really it's not that bad and I am going to get through this." Said Darcy as she gets through the recent round of pain. "It's not that bad and I know it may seem that way, but I just need time that's all. Maybe once we're there I will be up to eat something and everything will be fine, just wait and see."

All Loki can do is stare at Darcy, feeling as though he is now stuck in a predicament with no solution. He really believes that they should go back to the apartment and see if rest will help Darcy get better and if not then he can see if he can get more healing potion. Even then, Loki knows that Darcy will just refuse to listen and they will simply be back where they started and continue going on this endless circle. Maybe he should give in and see what happens, maybe it's completely normal for humans to go through this and he's worrying over nothing. But at the same time, from looking at Darcy's symptoms, it is really concerning and he doesn't think that it is something they should ignore, then again she won't be alone and if there is a problem then at least they will have help nearby. Even so he is not looking forward to any of this...

"Ok, let's go, we do not want to keep them waiting." said Loki. "You said that it was this way right?"

"Wait what? Now you want to go there?" said Darcy completely surprised.

"Yes, since it's clear we are not getting anywhere on arguing whether or not we should go. Plus you haven't eaten all day, so it may do you some good to eat something." said Loki. "But just let me know if you feel any worse once we are there, then we can either get you home or ask Jane for help."

"You do remember she's not a doctor right?" said Darcy annoyed.

"I know, but she is a human and maybe she has gone through the same thing you are going through." said Loki. "Maybe it's a normal human ailment and she knows how to help you."

"I doubt that, this doesn't usually happen with humans." said Darcy. "Well, as far as I know anyway."

"Right, are you sure you really want to do this?" asked Loki. "It's not too late to change your mind, we can go to your home, you can rest and we will see if that helps."

"No, it's fine. I don't think that's necessary and I can get through this." said Darcy as she cringe from the pain. "Now let's get going, I so can't wait to get there so I can sit down."

"Alright, just don't make me regret this." said Loki with a sigh.

"Don't worry, you..." start Darcy before giving a grunt. "You won't..."

Loki gives Darcy a skeptical look, they continue to head on their way and every step they take is harder than the last. Darcy is still feeling the pain from her stomach ache and it is becoming more and more obvious by the second. From looking around, Loki noticed that they have made a scene, normally he would be annoyed at this type of attention and anything that would jeopardize his true identity and presence on Earth, but he is more worried about Darcy. His phone rings once again to much of Loki's annoyance and already feels as though he knows who's on the other end, despite that he is not letting it distract his concerns about Darcy and her well being. If anything her condition has become worse ever since the movie ended and they left their apartment, there has to be something he can do to help. Maybe he could create an illusion and Darcy will not feel any of the pain. Then again, it may not be a good thing and might create a potential complication and he would never forgive himself if that happens, but he knows that he has to do something.

At that moment, Loki decided that if Darcy's stomachache isn't over or if she gets worse over the course of the meal or the day then he is going to get some healing potion. This can't keep going on and Darcy is suffering through this, he is not going to stand by and watch his friend in pain or worst. She could be really sick and despite her insistence, it may get worse from there and he has to make sure it doesn't get that far. But still, maybe it won't go there and if they are lucky then maybe she will be fine, Loki honestly doubts she will...

Thirty minutes later, at the restaurant

Loki and Darcy made it to the restaurant, well barely as it seems, especially after some set backs that is. Darcy is still feeling the worst of the stomachache and it is a miracle she even managed to get there without wanting to crouch down from the pain. From one look at her, one would think that she just ran a cross country marathon and back. While Loki on the other hand, feels as though if he has been fighting Thanos all day, stranded in the Dark World and in the middle of it trying to escape the forces of the Aether from consuming him all at the same time. This has to be the longest walk they have ever been on in their lives, Loki is just happy that it's finally over.

Ever since they started to head to the restaurant, if anything they spent more time taking breaks than actually walking. Darcy has been clutching on her stomach so much, one would think she's holding something valuable. At first it didn't seem so bad, that she can continue on and then suddenly the pain increased even more to the point where it she has to stop for a moment to breath. Loki thought that maybe taking breaks might be helpful, only to be regretting his own words since it is taking them longer to get to the restaurant. At the rate they were going, one would think they were stuck in traffic and they are traveling from another city, he can not even recall on how many times he has experienced these many breaks in his entire life.

He looks around to see that Thor and Jane are already there, to much of his surprise and displeasure. It doesn't take a deep thinker to figure out that they were late and kept both of them waiting. Loki does not even know what to think about this situation, sure he is not happy to find themselves tardy, but at the same time his concern for Darcy has grown to a whole new level and he does not even know how everything it going to go from here. From looking at the situation, he is starting to have second thoughts about this plan and can hardly believe how things are turning from bad to worse.

"Finally, we made it." said Darcy happily before cringing from the pain.

"Barely." said Loki annoyed before turning concern. "Are you sure you want to go through with this?"

"Yeah, I'm sure." said Darcy. "I mean I made it this far."

"Darcy, it took us longer to get us here than we would typically to any location." said Loki. "There is also one important fact you should really considered, no offense but you are terrible at keeping secrets. How are you planning to hide your illness a secret for the duration of the meal?"

"First of all, I am not sick and this is just a stomachache." said Darcy as she cringe from the pain. "Second, I think it's a little too late to turn back now."

She points at the table where Thor and Jane are sitting at, Loki notices Jane waving at both of them, hoping to get their attention. He looks at Thor and Jane feeling as though if they don't go over then they will both be completely disappointed. Once that thought entered his mind, Loki quickly looks at Darcy who is trying her best to hide the pain she is feeling. Knowing that she shouldn't be in pain and things are not improving, at the same time he knows Darcy have not eaten anything and she needs to eat. Loki wonders if Thor ever had to deal with this with Jane, if she ever gone through this or knows what's going on. Then it would be more beneficial for them to ask someone who may know and if Jane doesn't, then it looks like they may have to consult with Bruce or a Earth healer.

From seeing the whole situation, Loki knows what to do and only hopes that things work out in their favor...

"Ok, lead the way." said Loki.

Darcy starts to walk right towards the table, with Loki following close behind, hoping that this is not going to get any worse. The last thing they need is for Darcy to experience anymore pain, so he decides to keep a close eye on her as she continues walking. As they are walking, he noticed Darcy stopping every few seconds to hold her stomach and trying not to groan. With the speed she is going, one would think she was crossing an extremely dangerous bridge that is about to break at any moment. Trying to ignore the pain that is deep in her stomach and trying to make things as normal as possible, though it is easier said than done. Loki doesn't know if he's actually seeing it or imagining it, but he notices Darcy shaking as she is walking. That is definitely not normal and he now knows it, Loki wouldn't be surprised if Thor and Jane notices this as well.

When they finally reach the table, Darcy is trying her best to pull out the chair under the table and it looks as though she is pulling the most heavy object in the universe. Loki stands right behind her, watching the pitiful attempt to look healthy and no one needs to be with her all day to know that she is not doing well. Loki can only watch the scene for a few seconds, already feeling as he had enough, grabs a hold of the chair and pulls it out for her. Darcy quickly sits down, pushing herself closer the table. Once Darcy is seated, then Loki went towards the chair next to her and sits down, making himself comfortable as they received some unwanted stares.

"Hey guys, how's it going?" said Darcy trying to look and sound like herself. "Wow, talk about a lot of bad traffic huh, Loki?"

"We did not drive." said Loki not even hiding his annoyance.

"Yeah, but you know what I mean." said Darcy. "Who knew all that would happen? Sure we are a little late, but we finally made it. Sorry about that."

"It's fine..." said Jane. "So how are you guys doing?"

"We're-" starts Loki, before...

"Great, just great." said Darcy hastily as she tries to hide the latest surge of pain she is feeling. "So how's your days been? Anything exciting happened lately?"

"No, I can't say that it has." said Thor taken a back by Darcy's sudden greeting.

"Um... Is there something going on?" asked Jane.

"If I am being honest-" starts Loki before he feels a kick on the table hitting his leg.

"Nothing's going on, we're just having a great day and was having so much fun, that we lost track of time." said Darcy happily as she ignores the annoyed glare Loki is giving her. "So who's hungry?"

Both Thor and Jane exchange a confused look and turned to face both Loki and Darcy, already knowing that there is something going on. Darcy is about to grunt from the pain, before doing everything to hide it and turn the cringe to a smile. One that makes it even more obvious that she's hiding something and is trying to do everything to make sure she keeps her secret. Determined to make things work, hoping that after this meal the pain will stop and she can carry on this day without anyone else finding out.

From seeing the look on Thor and Jane's face and directing their looks to him, along with the many people staring at them and seeing Darcy's attempts to make herself look healthy, makes Loki wish to use his magic to disappear. He does not even know how Darcy is planning to keep this a secret, but so far she is failing and if anything is making it even more obvious. At any moment, Loki feels as though he is about to die from this humiliation, the embarrassment he is feeling for Darcy is harder than he could ever imagine and silently wishes he has the time stone or a time travel device that opens a door to use it to go to the future and stay there. Though he doesn't need to time travel or be a deep thinker to know that this is going to be long meal...

"Ok, now that we're all are here." said Jane rather awkwardly. "Who should go up and place the order?"

"I'll do it." said Loki hastily. "I already know what Darcy wants and I can safely assume you both want your usual order?"

"Yes, well for me at least." said Jane. "Do you need a hand in carrying the stuff?"

"No, that will not be necessary." said Loki before turning to Thor. "So, I am going to assume the same thing for you?"

"Yes, of course." said Thor. "Are you sure you don't want any help."

"Yes, I am fine, I think I can handle this alone." said Loki. "Don't worry, I will not forget to pay, I have been on this planet long enough to know that one has to do so if they want anything. Trust me, I learned my lesson from last time and-"

"Wait, you know I think I changed my mind." said Darcy hastily as she tries to hide this surge of pain. "Remember, we had a big breakfast and I am still full from it and-"

"Darcy, our meal was not that big and you know you are going to have to eat something eventually." said Loki not even bothering to keep the secret.

"I know but-" said Darcy.

"We already agreed to eat and it might be best for you to eat now." said Loki. "Unless you want to possibly prove me correct."

"What?" said Darcy. "There's no way I am you know what, I can handle anything you throw at me."

"Then prove it." said Loki smiling, already knowing the results.

"Alright fine! Just order me some fries and that's it." said Darcy in defeat.

"Ok, as you wish." said Loki happily.

Before he leaves, Loki notices Thor and Jane's confused look after the entire situation and feels as though he is going to owe them both an explanation later. At least he got Darcy to agree to eat something and they are on track somewhere, that is he hopes they are. Maybe she will be fine, once she eats something and then this will be the end of it and they can move past this. Though there is a lingering fear inside, what if Darcy does not get well after a meal? What if there is something more going on? What if she is seriously ill and they should get medical attention?

He turns around and sees her trying the hardest to look healthy, but is failing in every way possible. Loki can tell that she is trying so hard to make this work and even then she is still in pain, from the distance he definitely see that she is pale and it was not a trick of the light. After a few seconds, Loki turns his focus to head towards the counter and entered the line leading up to it. There were two more groups ahead of him and he only wishes that the line would speed up already, that he would place the order, get the food and see if anything happened while he is gone. The thought of Darcy having a stomach ache that seems to be getting worse by the minute and her futile attempts on keeping it a secret is making him feel uncomfortable. Loki doesn't even want to imagine what Thor and Jane are enduring right now and doesn't even know if he should look...

At least, he can relax and does not need to worry about feeling humiliated for as long as it takes for them to take his order and serve him. Feeling a need to see if he has enough money, Loki pulls out his wallet and sees that he does. It was a do over gift from Darcy, after her failed attempt of present and it has become a really useful gift and one of his most treasured possessions. It's has a dark green leather cover that covers all of the dimensions, even on the insides and on top, there is his golden horned helmet as a fastener, ready to buckle in place, keeping it closed with all the contents safely secured. He opens it to see that he may have enough money to pay for it, grateful that his last mission as Mysto paid him well enough.

Ever since Loki fully recovered and realized that he is going to stay on Earth a little longer than he thought, he decided to make the most of it. Maybe to try to keep himself busy and not simply rely on Darcy to buy him on things, so he decided to see if maybe he can earn some Earth money, so he can buy his own things such as possessions and books. At first, Darcy thought of having him doing some simple chores and she will pay him, only to discover that Loki is a little too good at the job and with his magic then it is impossible for Darcy to keep up with the demands, let alone pay him without worrying about going broke herself, so that definitely didn't worked out. After some failed attempts, they finally found something that may work, after talking it over with Tony and Steve, they agreed that Loki can be paid on helping out on missions. It's the perfect plan, Loki will earn some money and it will also help throw off suspicion on his identity and so far it's working out, he is still doing these favors and getting a steady paycheck.

His life now on Earth is perfect and Loki has no idea if he's ready to let that go, but at the same time he knows that he has to and Loki does not know if he's ready to let that go...

"Excuse me, can I help you?" asked the cashier catching Loki's attention, reminding him that he still has to get the food.

"Oh, yes, sorry." said Loki trying his best to sound like a human. "I would like the cheese burger, the Angus burger, A Chicken and ceaser salad with two French fries on the side."

"Alright, you want any drinks?" asked the cashier.

"Yes, two of the black watered soda and two of the sprite ones." said Loki as he turn to look and is not happy with the results.

He quickly pays for the meal and looks on the site as he waits, Loki does not need to be at the table to know what's going on. He sees Darcy trying to hide a surge of intense pain, with Thor and Jane looking deeply concern at her. Only for Darcy to smile and pretend everything is fine, Loki can see through the charade and knows that she is not doing well and if anything she is getting worse. He knows that once the moment is right, then he is going to ask Jane if any of this is normal and then see if there is something he can do to help.

Once he got the food, Loki starts to head his way back to the table and does not even know if wants to know if anything happened. Since the last thing he needs is to later find out that Darcy's condition has worsen or she made another scene or something worse happens, one that he can not even predict and something that will only create more trouble for Darcy. He only wishes that if anything happens, it will be something that he will be happy about. Every single step Loki takes feels as though at any moment, he is about to see a disaster ready to happen and he wish he only knew how to stop it.

When Loki finally reach the table, he handed out all the food to his brother and friends. Thor and Jane accepted it and after thanking Loki, they got their meal and got ready to eat them. He quickly hands one of the french fires to Darcy, who quickly try to shake her head no and hoping that Loki would back off and leave her alone. Only for Loki to give her an annoyed look, as if to silently say 'you're going to eat this.' Once she sees that Loki is not going to let her argue on this one, she accepts the french fries in defeat. Loki smiles at Darcy once he sees her with the pack of fries in her hands. He quickly sits down and got ready to eat his salad and fries, relieved to see that Darcy is starting to eat and silently hoping that this is a good sign.

"Well, the wait is shorter than I thought and I am so relieved that I will finally have a chance to eat." Said Loki as he puts on the dressing, mix it up and as he is about to eat, he notices the blank stares from Thor and Jane. "Why are you both looking at me like that?"

"Oh, it's nothing." Said Jane. "But..."

"Is there something going on?" Finished Thor.

"What?" Asked Loki completely surprised.

"Of course nothing is going on, everything is totally-" interrupted Darcy and only stop for a moment from feeling more pain. "Fine..."

"Something happened while I was gone did it?" Asked Loki already knowing where this was going and not sure if he wants to know.

"Yes, it did. Darcy-" Starts Thor, before...

"Nothing happened, it is just that..." starts Darcy, only stopping to deal with the pain. "I am really happy to see you guys."

"Darcy, listen it's clear something is going on." said Jane. "We are all really worried about you and-"

"Hey, I'm fine, let's just eat and try to act normal." said Darcy. "All of this is probably nothing and we should just try to hang out."

"Darcy, maybe you should listen to-" starts Loki.

"Really, I'm fine and all of whatever that was is nothing." said Darcy. "Let's just relax and try to hang out."

Thor, Jane and Loki all exchange a look to one another, feeling the same amount of conflict they have been feeling, deep down knowing that this is not a good idea. Especially Loki, since he has been with Darcy for the entirety of the day and he can see Darcy is not getting any better and they can not keep playing this game. He knows that he has to do something and he is going to do it, but Loki also knows that if he's going to do this then he is going to do this in a way Darcy will never see what's coming. He already has an idea and all he need is to have enough patience and hope that Thor and Jane will go along with this.

"Maybe, Darcy is right." said Loki simply.

"Wait, what?" said Darcy completely surprised.

"What?" said Thor and Jane at the same time, just as surprised.

"Well, we are not going to get anywhere if we constantly demand Darcy to give us an explanation." said Loki. "It is obvious we are not going to get one, so why don't we focus on enjoying ourselves and have a good time?"

"Ok, I second that." said Darcy. "Now let's eat."

Without another word being said, she tries her best to start to eat her french fries and only cringing from the pain as she does so. Loki, Thor and Jane stared at her as they are completely surprise by Darcy's sudden change of attitude when it comes to eat. Loki does not even know if he should be happy or worried seeing Darcy forcing herself to eat. Though he has the feeling he is going to find out later and Loki knows he is not looking forward to it and already regretting on what the results that may happen. For now, he needs to stick to the plan and if luck is on his side, then he will be able to figure out what is the best thing to do to help her. Loki only hopes that this will work...

"So, Loki..." starts Thor. "Did you get the text Tony sent the group chat?"

"Maybe, I have not checked." said Loki. "But as you know, I never check on those messages unless it is a dire emergency. Though I usually answer calls, what does Stark want that has to alert all of us?"

"As you know the Guardians of the Galaxy has finally made the necessary repairs to their ship and will be departing soon." said Thor.

"How could I forget?" asked Loki sadly as he remembered that he still hasn't made his decision.

"He was thinking of having a farewell party for our new allies, to thank them for their help and to give them well wishes on their journey." said Thor. "With hopes it will show them we appreciate their help and show they are always welcome to return."

"Now that's a great idea, they have done so much for us." said Jane. "The least we could do is thank them for everything, especially before they take off and leave."

"I could not agree more, but we have make sure that it is perfect and the best it can be." said Loki. "Stark better have the music Quill likes and enough sweets for Groot to make him want to eat the whole table. Let's not forget the food of Chinese, Gamora and Nebula loves that and chocolate, Rocket and Drax can not get enough of that, especially if Groot tries to eat it all at once."

"Wow, look at you, trying to plan this party to be perfect." said Jane. "If someone were to tell me that I would see you one day try to plan everything to be perfect, I would have never believed it."

"Are you trying to make a jest?" asked Loki confused.

"What? No." said Jane quickly as she realize how that may have sounded. "I was just saying how much you have changed since we first met and seeing you care about others. You are not the same person I first met when we were about to leave for the Dark World to get the Aether out of me."

"True, besides I want to make sure they have a good time." said Loki. "Knowing that this will be the last few days they will be on Earth, I only want them to enjoy themselves and have good memories. Especially since they came to this planet to help us defeat Thanos and Nebula who spent most of these past months healing, she still have not experienced what else this planet has to offer."

"Well it was rough for her, from being forced to work for Thanos again and then later risking everything to help us stop him, yeah she definitely been through a lot." said Jane. "Plus having that concussion probably did not help matters, talk about a rough time, I'm happy that she's safe now, she's in a better place now."

"I am just pleased that she chose to save herself when she did, finally see she is not alone and she can escape him, if she chooses to." said Loki. "If Thanos got his way or if he was still alive, I can hardly imagine what might happen to her."

"At least we have one less thing to worry about, I am only glad that the threat of Thanos is now over." said Thor. "Despite all of the destruction he caused, I am grateful of the good that came with it."

"Yeah, I don't know what we are going to do without them or if I am ready..." said Loki.

"Ready, for what?" said Jane before quickly making a realization. "Wait, are you still thinking of leaving Earth?"

"Loki..." said Thor as he is completely surprised by what his brother may be saying.

"I know I said I was considering staying here, I was and I meant every word I said about it being my home." said Loki. "But I also need to worry about my inhabitance being on this planet will eventually put all of you in danger. We all know that if the wrong person finds out about my presence or Mysto's true identity, not only it will only create problems, they will not only turn their backs on me, but all of you."

"I don't care about the consequences, I am willing to take any chance if it means you get to stay." said Thor. "We can make this work, just trust me on this."

"I know we could and I do, but I was only thinking of what might be best for not only for you, but for all of you." said Loki. "I would never forgive myself if I caused more problems for you if I stay here."

"You won't, I will do everything to make sure you are safe from any danger." said Thor.

"Just because you vowed that, it doesn't mean that you will be successful." said Loki. "I have to do what's best, not only for you, but for the others."

"Are you sure this is what's best for us or this is what best for you?" Demanded Thor.

"At least I am thinking of the consequences, instead of blindly making a decision based on my own rash judgement." said Loki. "Even if it may hurt..."

"Loki, of course it is going to hurt no matter what you choose to do." said Thor. "But I am not going to give up on this without giving this a chance, the real question is why are you?"

"I am trying to be practical and looking at all the facts, which are that it is best for me to leave." said Loki. "No matter how hard it is, I only wish you weren't so selfish about this."

"Selfish? I am not the one who is looking at the first opportunity to leave even though I know that there are people here who cares about you and want you to stay. Yet you still choose to leave, not even caring about what others may say or think." said Thor. "Being too afraid to even stop and see what you have right now is worth keeping and you still are more than willing to leave all of it behind."

"I am not- That is beside the point, I am not the one who is refusing to accept the possibility of me being here could bring more harm than good." said Loki. "As usual you are being too reckless to consider what might be best not only for others, but for yourself."

"I need you to stay, we all need you to stay, why don't you see that?" demanded Thor. "Why are you the only one who is refusing to see that? Why are you so afraid that you have to-"

"I am not afraid of anything!" said Loki raising his voice a bit.

"You could have fooled me, if you weren't then you would not even consider leaving!" yelled Thor. "I thought things were going to be different now, I thought we were going to be in this together."

"We are, just because I may leave does not mean I am going to completely abandon you!" yelled Loki. "I will still visit, though the chances are now decreasing at the moment. I only wish you see-"

"Alright, guys that's enough!" intervened Jane finally having enough. "Arguing is not going to help us solve this problem."

"We wouldn't be arguing if Loki hasn't changed his mind and decided to abandon all of us." said Thor.

"I am not abandoning anyone, I am trying to make the decision for the good of all of us. The least you could do is try to be understanding and be happy for me." argued Loki. "Why are you so ignorant and overprotective that you are not seeing common sense?"

"Why are you so unreasonable that you do not see we are not better off without you?" demanded Thor. "After all we have been through, why would you turn your back on us?"

"How dare you make such a accusation that is so ludicrous that-" started Loki angrily.

"Guys, just stop it. Haven't you guys learned anything from what happened in the past three months and even further than that? You both mean so much to each other and have you forgotten how it felt when you nearly lost each other?" demanded Jane.

"I still haven't..." said Thor before turning to Loki angry. "Apparently you have."

"What?! Of course I have, why do you think I might be leaving?" demanded Loki. "It's to keep you safe."

"How? By still hiding behind a mask or is space a better hiding place this time?" said Thor. "Here's another idea, why don't I disappear for a month and come back with a new identity, find some lunatic and have him chase after me and then reveal myself and the truth out of nowhere? Then you will know how it feels..."

"You know why I had to. It's not like I asked to be taken in and forced to work for and later be chased by a maniac, I did not mean for it to go that far." said Loki. "If you stop and consider, maybe you will understand, maybe you-"

"Come on, we are not getting anywhere with this. Why don't we-" said Jane. "Wait, are we really doing this here? Are we-"

"Not to worry, once I returned with our meals I created an illusion where we are the only ones who can hear each other and what we are really saying." said Loki. "As far as the other patrons know we are simply bickering about a sporting event and Thor losing a bet."

"Wait, why did you make me lose the bet?" asked Thor completely annoyed.

"I thought it would be nice to have you lose for a change." said Loki. "I am control of this spell after all."

"I can't believe you, this is-" starts Thor.

"Guys! Come on really, are you guys going to start to argue about how a spell is done now?" said Jane exasperatedly. "Look no matter what happens, we can't forget who we are and what matters and you guys shouldn't give up on what you build over this or else you are both going to regret it. Furthermore-"

"Ugh! Can't you two stop fighting and get along for once?!" yelled Darcy standing up and slamming both of her fists on the table. "Why don't you guys just get along for one day?! Is that too much to ask?!"

At that moment, once the outburst happened, Thor, Loki and Jane forgot what was going on and stare at her. Completely surprised by her outburst, not even knowing what to say or make out of it. Especially now knowing that something is going on and it is clear it is bothering her, but neither one of them expected it would lead to all of this. The three of them are completely frozen as they stare at her, completely speechless and nothing will dare to break the silence or have anything to say to her. It did not help matters, there are now many people who turned to look at them. First they were all trying to ignore the arguing, only turning their heads once they heard Darcy's outburst.

Normally Loki would hate all of the stares and would be wishing he would be given the opportunity to cast the spell or wished he thought of this outcome, but this time it's different, from one look he knows there is something wrong. Loki can see from the look of Darcy's face, she looks even in more pain trying to keep it in and notices her arms are shaking, tempted to return to Darcy's stomach. From just seeing her like this, he knows she is definitely not feeling well and needs to get help fast. If Darcy is not eating happily on something she enjoys, not making some kind of sassy remark or simply getting annoyed at something this easily or staying quiet for the majority of a conversation, then it is more than obvious to anyone that something is wrong.

He needs to figure out what it is, since this can not keep going on and if anything it is getting worse. Loki knows that the first thing he should do is clear up this scene and get down to business, at this point Thor and Jane already suspected something and keeping this secret is futile. But they can not continue making scenes like this, not only they are are attracting attention and that is the least of his concerns, but they are not going to get anywhere if everyone is looking at them. They need to help Darcy and get to the bottom of this and worrying the public is not going to help anyone. Before Loki can have a chance to even say anything, the most obvious question was asked...

"Darcy, umm... Are you ok?" asked Jane.

"Yeah, of course I'm fine!" yelled Darcy. "What in the world makes you all think that I am not alright?!"

"For one thing, you are raising your voice." pointed out Loki.

"You seem to be a little perturb about something." said Thor as if it was obvious.

"Plus you were really quiet and didn't say anything about Loki possibly leaving." said Jane. "Knowing you, anyone would think that you would be a little more vocally against it."

"Oh..." said Darcy rather awkwardly. "I guess I got caught up in the moment..."

"Ok..." said both Thor and Jane completely unsure.

"Really, that's the best you could do?" said Loki as he covers his face with his right hand at the situation right now.

"Sorry, it's just you two constantly argue that I finally had it." said Darcy. "I mean this time it's a little too loud and got a little too much..."

"Darcy, we do not argue that much." said Thor. "This was the first argument we had ever since we reunited."

"Aside from the small debate, it really is the first big disagreement we had since it happened." said Loki. "Also we were not shouting."

"You weren't?" asked Darcy nervously.

"No, is there something-" starts Jane before noticing that Darcy is really pale.

"Look, as much I'd like to talk..." said Darcy as she is trying to withhold the pain and the French Fries inside her. "But I think I am going to be sick... I gotta go!"

Without another word being said, Darcy raced from the table and not even bothering to look back at her friends and the many people who are staring at her. Loki turns from the direction his chair is facing to watch her run, with Thor and Jane staring at the scene from the background completely surprised and worried. All Loki, Thor and Jane could do is stare at Darcy, seeing her run to the nearest bathroom and trying to keep everything in to get there as fast as she can. Loki does not even need to read Darcy's mind to know that she is going to go to the restroom because of lunch. He is now growing even more concerned, Loki knows that Darcy hasn't eaten anything all day and now seeing her not being able to eat anything without making her stomach upset, that is definitely a bad sign. Now it's a perfect time, to consult with Jane, as he turns back to face them, his concern is growing stronger by the minute.

Before he can even start the conversation or let alone say anything, Loki is surprised by the sight of both Thor and Jane staring at him. Taking a look at them, he notices that they are desperate for answers and they are not going to let this go. Determined to find out what's really going on and not going to let it go this easily. Loki feels as though they are looking through him, hoping to find the answer they are looking for, but they are failing to find it and Loki knows that he should start explaining or at least answer all of their questions.

"Ok, what's really going on?" asked Jane.

"She was that obvious wasn't she?" said Loki.

"You think?" said Thor. "It is an endless wonder on how she managed to help you keep your identity as Mysto for so long."

"That is a mystery I always wondered myself." said Loki as he gives a sigh. "I knew attending this lunch was a bad idea, but Darcy insisted and so far I am being proven right. This has been happening all day."

"What's been happening all day?" asked Jane already seeing the problem right before them.

"Darcy has been having stomach pain for the entirety of the day and it is safe to say I believe it is getting worse." said Loki. "Not helping matters, she has no appetite and has not eaten anything."

"What?" said both Thor and Jane at the same time, completely surprised by that revelation.

"I was hoping that maybe those fries would suffice for some food and then maybe we could move further than that." said Loki. "But it's clear that is not going to be enough and there is something going on."

"Yeah, I don't need to be a doctor to know that she's definitely not alright." said Jane.

"Is it normal for humans to suddenly develop a pain in the stomach and lose their appetite to the point whenever they try to eat, it gives them indigestion?" asked Loki.

"No, if it was then we wouldn't be having this conversation." said Jane. "I don't even know what might be wrong so we could help her."

"Wait, you never experienced this Jane?" asked Thor.

"No, it's completely unusual, Loki, did Darcy say or show any other symptoms?" asked Jane.

"Not that I could think of." said Loki. "All she was complaining about was her stomach pain and told me she was not hungry, let alone ate anything today. As you saw she does seem to be nauseous, that's from what we can see, who knows what else she is now going through."

"Still if she is having stomach pain then it must be even more serious than we may believe." said Thor. "Is that all from what you remember? Did Darcy tell you how bad the pain is?"

"She didn't have to, it is obvious as the day went on." said Loki. "That is why we were late, we mostly spent the time taking breaks for Darcy to recover from her pain and even then it was not enough. As we continue on, it becomes more and more evident that it has been increasing rather than decreasing, I do not even want to imagine what she may be feeling right now."

"Wait, she was experiencing more pain as you guys walked?" asked Jane.

"I suggested that we cancel, but she kept insisting to attend and I only agreed because she revealed to me that she has not eaten anything." said Loki. "I thought that may help, but it appears as though I may have hurt her more rather than help. If anything I may have unintentionally made her indigestion worse. Do you think it will go away on it's own?"

"No, I don't think it is indigestion." said Jane. "If it was then she wouldn't be in this much pain and I don't think this is something that will come and go on it's own."

"I was afraid you would say that." said Loki with a sigh and turns to Thor. "Do you still have vials of the healing potion? Since I would like to give Darcy some of it later, maybe a few doses will help heal her."

"I wish I thought of picking up some before I left Asgard last week." said Thor. "I simply believed due to the fact that Nebula is now fully recovered, we no longer need it anymore."

"Seriously?" said Loki completely annoyed. "Have you even stopped to consider of gathering a supply for emergencies?"

"Sorry, I didn't think of that." said Thor. "I just assumed that there was no need for it, not just because of Nebula, but since things have been quiet outside of the occasional rescue or crook we have to stop."

"We can never predict when we may need it, that is why it is important to always have a supply." said Loki. "The one thing that could help Darcy is not even readily available, this is so unbelievable that-"

"Loki, I did not think that we would have any need for it." argued Thor. "Why don't I just go to Asgard and request for more?"

"You can't be serious, you know how Fa- Odin can be when it comes to this potion." said Loki. "If anything he will say no and you will be delayed on your trip and the earliest you will return is three days. We do not know if Darcy has that time or how serious is her condition."

"At least I am trying to help, I do not see you doing anything other than reprimand me." said Thor. "What have you been doing other than simply help Darcy keep her secret?"

"I have been trying to help, though I have not figure it out yet, but I am going to." said Loki. "At least I am doing something."

"Maybe if you told us rather than keeping it a secret then we would have done more." said Thor.

"Oh, I highly doubt that." said Loki. "Especially seeing how it is turning out so far."

"What were you thinking of keeping it a secret?" demanded Thor. "Do you not realize that-"

"Guys, stop it!" said Jane finally having enough of this. "Arguing is not going to help Darcy and if we are going to do something then we need to make sure she's alright and if she's getting worse than we get help."

"At least one of us is trying to be helpful." said Loki as Thor glares at him, before he can even say something.

"Guys, can you quit with the arguing? We are not going to solve anything at the rate we're going." said Jane. "Thor, I understand you are unhappy by the possibility of Loki leaving, but let's deal with that later."

"Alright." said Thor before turning to Loki. "But you and I are going to have a serious talk once all of this over."

"How about this, why don't we simply skip the talk and focus on something more relevant?" asked Loki. "Like how you are ready to pick up a fight, the moment either something goes wrong or you disagree with me, it will only lead-"

"Are we really doing this right now?" said Jane frustrated. "Loki, I know you are worried about Darcy and you have every right to be, but don't take it out on Thor and if anything you guys are just going to keep arguing until something stops you. For now, let's just focus on the current situation before you both blow your tops at each other and start a war at one another."

"You are right, Darcy's health is more important than whatever debate we are now having." said Loki.

"I agree, we will worry about the future later." said Thor. "So what should we do now?"

"Well, I guess one of us should go and check on Darcy." said Jane. "Call me worried, but Darcy has been in the bathroom for a while and I don't know about any of you, but I am starting to think that it's been a little too long."

Both Thor and Loki turn to face the direction where the bathrooms, they notice that there is no sign of Darcy and if anything the scene was completely normal. Well for the restaurant's standards and it only leads to more questions from their end. What could be going on in there? Was she alright? Is there something happening right now that they should be worried about or are they worrying over nothing? What if Darcy is in real trouble that she needs help right away? There is no sign of her and neither one of them thinks that Darcy is going to be running back soon.

"You may be right, maybe it's best if one of us go check on her." said Thor.

"I'll go and-" start Jane as she starts to get up from her seat.

"No Jane, I will go." said Loki. "As far as Darcy knows, I am the only one who knows about her current problem and I do not believe she would be happy to see you both knowing after trying so hard to make this a secret."

"Ok then." said Jane. "Just remember to take it easy on her."

"Don't worry I will." said Loki. "I only hope that she is doing alright in the restroom, as long as nothing happened that makes this situation worse."

Without another word being said, Loki got up from the table and head his way towards the bathroom to check on Darcy. Hoping that he is not going to find some kind of disaster waiting for him, wanting to do everything he can to help. Every step he takes, it is harder than the last and Loki is already dreading on what he might see and how Darcy is doing right now. He wishes that for some miracle, Darcy is now truly well and the worst is over and they can all simply move on and everything will magically work out. Even then deep down, Loki knows that it is childish to believe in such a thing and if anything he can assume that things may get worse from there...

A few minutes Later

When Loki finally arrived, he stares at the restroom doors right before him and he feels a sense of nerves overcoming him. He does not know what to expect or if he is ready to see what may come out that door. All Loki can do is stand there and wait for Darcy to come out, even then he knows that he is already dreading it. Wondering what may be happening right behind that door, if Darcy is alright and if there is something that he should know about.

Loki tries his best to wait patiently outside the door, but every single minute that passes makes the wait harder than ever before. He is almost tempted to go in there and see for himself, but Loki knows that he can't, not only because Darcy would not want her privacy invaded, but it is the ladies room and even if something was happening there will be other women in there and they may be willing to call for help. Loki only wishes Darcy just opens the door and leave the room, he does not know how much longer he can wait. Maybe if he just knocks the door, then maybe Darcy will know that he's out there checking on her, but it may not work simply because he might be a little too intrusive. Then again, he could just do it because he wants to check on her and it wouldn't be a bad thing and anyone would accept it. Before Loki can even lift his hand to start to knock on the door..."

"Unbelievable! I can't believe this happened!" said an angry girl in a ruined pink dress. "I just bought this too, I have never been so humiliated and insulted!"

"Pardon me?" said Loki out loud before he can stop himself as he watched her go.

"I would get in there and out of the way if I were you!" yelled the angry girl as she continued walking away. "We'll be lucky if I didn't get sick myself from this! Why can't some people stay home?!"

Loki sees her continue to watch the girl a little longer before he turns to look at the women's bathroom door. He does not know what happened, but something tells him it must have been that bad. Especially from seeing the contents on the girl's dress, Loki is starting to fear the worse and already having the feeling that something worse has already happened and it is about to get worse. Only for his suspicions to get confirm when he hears a loud groan from the other end of the door, starting to brace himself for what might be happening. The door opens again, as Loki starts to dread on what he might see, Darcy comes out and she is holding her stomach, looking completely miserable.

"I am so glad that's over..." said Darcy as she gives another groan, clutching her stomach.

"That bad?" asked Loki.

"Worse." said Darcy as she takes a couple steps towards him.

"Would I want to know about it?" asked Loki, looking at her concerned.

"No." said Darcy with a whimper.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Loki gently.

"No..." said Darcy. "Unless you know how to make the pain go away, since it's gotten worse."

"No, the best I could do is create an illusion..." said Loki. "Darcy, are you alright?"

"Yeah..." said Darcy only looking up to see Loki's skeptical look. "I just feel really sick to the stomach that's all."

"I know..." said Loki as he approaches her. "Is that all?"

"No, I just feel pain and sick in general." said Darcy before feeling the pain in her stomach. "These french fries are really giving me a rough time..."

"I don't think it's just the French fries..." said Loki gently as he starts rub her back. "Do you want to return to your home?"

"What? No! Loki, I'm fine." said Darcy. "I will get over this, maybe in a hour or two it will pass."

"Darcy, I do not believe it will pass just like that." said Loki. "If anything you could be really ill."

"No, I'm fine." Said Darcy as she finds herself leaning on the wall. "It's nothing..."

"Darcy, what you are feeling and what happened just now is not fine." Said Loki. "I do not even believe that it is even healthy."

"Loki, please stop shouting." Said Darcy as she place her hand on her face. "You are giving me a headache."

"I was not shouting." Said Loki as he grabs Darcy's other hand to hold it gently, only to frown a little bit on the touch.

"You weren't? Why did it sound like you were?" Asked Darcy. "Why does it feel like it's really hot in here?"

"I have no idea..." said Loki as he moved his hand right towards Darcy's forehead and she takes a step back, only for Loki's hand to land on her cheek. Feeling little annoyed but patient as he feels her, frowning at the touch. "You do feel a little warm, maybe you are ill."

"No, Loki I'm not sick." Said Darcy. "Sure this stomach ache is a pain and I barfed a little bit in the bathroom and on that girl's dress. But that does not mean I am sick, I am fine, honest."

"Darcy, none of that sounds normal and not to mention you are warm to touch." Said Loki. "I may not be a healer but even I know that humans are not that warm. You may be-"

"Loki, it's probably because I just ran to bathroom." Said Darcy. "It's nothing..."

"Darcy, I do not believe that it is simply nothing." Said Loki. "How does this sound? Why don't we return to your home? So that way you can rest and take care of yourself and we will see and know for sure if you are fine and-"

"Loki, please." Said Darcy. "Look I know you are looking out for me and I appreciate you checking on me, but I think I will be fine, give it an hour or so."

"That's what you have been saying all day and if anything the exact opposite is happening." said Loki. "If we don't get help or if you don't rest, then your current condition will worsen and we may have a bigger problem in our hands."

"I get that you are worried about me-" start Darcy.

"I rarely worry about anything or anyone." said Loki rather defensively. "I only want to make sure you are alright that's all."

"Whatever you say." said Darcy smiling before cringing from pain. "But I will get through this, just wait and see."

"Darcy, we can't simply ignore this." said Loki. "We will not accomplish anything except making you more ill and your symptoms worse."

"But we can't also stop living as though this is a big thing when it's not." said Darcy. "I think that this is going to be over soon, there's no need for us to raise the alarms and let's just go, rejoin the others and have a good day."

"I still think we should-" starts Loki before all of the sudden, his phone starts to ring.

Loki quickly pulls it up, he sees Steve's number on it. Already annoyed by it, he just places the phone back in his pocket. Rocket already fooled him once today and he is not going to be tricked again. Especially now when he has something more important to worry about and Darcy needs help and he is going to make sure she gets it. Loki only hopes that he is not going to be regretting all of this and Darcy's condition is not going to take a turn for the worse. He doesn't need any distractions like anymore prank calls get in the way of doing so. Loki turns to look at Darcy, ready to try to figure out what might be the best solution and see if they can figure something out. Only to see Darcy giving him a look, one that he feels as though she is not happy to see what he just did and is not going to let him live it down...

"Did you seriously just do that?" asked Darcy crossing her arms.

"What?" said Loki. "Ignoring another prank call?"

"What if it's important?" asked Darcy.

"Darcy, I have been receiving nothing but prank calls for the past few weeks." said Loki. "Ever since Rocket discovered the wondrous joy of the art of this prank, he has not stopped and I am not going to partake in this tomfoolery anymore."

"I know you are annoyed with him, but wouldn't it be a better idea to just see in case if there's an emergency?" said Darcy.

"I'm sure everything is fine." said Loki. "If not then we will find out later, it will not be anything more than a regular burglar trying to rob something."

"I still think you should check it out." said Darcy. "You never know when something could be an emergency and you shouldn't ignore it."

"Says the one who is ignoring her own symptoms." said Loki matter of factly.

"Why don't we just go back to the table, Thor and Jane must be wondering if we're ok." said Darcy completely annoyed, starting to walk away. "Before you say anything, no I am not going home."

Loki watches Darcy make her way out of that hall and heads right towards the table, he doesn't know what to think about Darcy's stubbornness or if he is even anywhere close on being satisfied on the whole situation. With a sigh, he slowly starts to follow Darcy, feeling completely annoyed and wishes for some miracle, he can somehow convince Darcy to give up this act and to get help. He knows she can't keep going on like this, especially knowing that if anything things are going from bad to worse and it is not going to stop anytime soon. Loki knows that regardless what Darcy may say, he knows she is ill and she shouldn't be pushing herself like this. Especially if she is getting worser by the second, he has to make sure she's alright and only hopes that things do not get any worse from here.

A Few minutes later

They both head their way towards the table, seeing Thor and Jane still there, with Thor's phone right on the table. From one look, all Loki can do is give an annoyed sigh, thinking about how far Rocket is going with these prank calls. Especially knowing how obsessed he can get when overdoing a prank and even wondering when will this end, he only hopes if he chooses to go with the Guardians, he does not have to put up with that. Even without having to put up with the pranks. Otherwise it would be a complete nightmare and Loki does not know how he would

Loki still does not know what he wants or if he is going to leave or not, there is still so much to think about and he can't decide what's the best decision or if he is even sure if he should have second thoughts. He knows that leaving is the best choice for him and everyone else, but at the same time, Loki knows that he doesn't want to leave it all behind and he never felt more at home than he has ever been in his life. Especially now that the idea of him leaving is now starting to make Loki feel as though he is leaving the only home he ever cared about, maybe even more than he has ever been on Asgard. He can't imagine his life without his brother or his newfound friends or Darcy...

Wait, he shouldn't be thinking about this choice, especially now that Darcy is in this condition and she seems to be getting worse by the minute. He watches her make her way to the table and he notices her cringing from the pain, even more so than before and that alone is making him even more concern. Every single step makes it even harder than the last, he sees she is going slower than before and if anything it is becoming more and more obvious she's not well. He continues on his way to the table hoping that he will find an answer to all of his questions and they do not have another scene on the horizon. He honestly does not know what's worse Darcy's well being or another humiliation and even then that is the least of his concerns.

When Darcy finally makes it to the table, she slowly sits down on the chair and only groans once she's seated. Before Thor and Jane can even ask any question, Darcy just sits up and pretends nothing is going on. Loki just gives a sigh, as he can clearly see that things are not going to change and he is going to have to try to get through this again. He starts to head towards the table, feeling as though he is climbing a mountain that feels impossible to climb and Loki gives anything for all of this to somehow be over and things do not get any worse. Loki notices the girl from the bathroom glaring at Darcy, only for him to glare at the girl in response, from one look she backs away to much of his satisfaction. He arrives at the table, already dreading the conversations that is about to take place and wishing he has the Time Stone to speed past all of this.

"Are you guys alright?" asked Jane.

"Well..." starts Loki unsure.

"Yes, we're fine." said Darcy frantically, before turning annoyed at Loki. "I'm fine."

"Darcy, are you sure you are well?" asked Thor. "It is unusual for you to-"

"Guys, honestly I'm fine." said Darcy even more annoyed. "Why don't we just enjoy-"

Before Darcy can even continue, suddenly both Thor and Loki's phones starts to ring, turning all of their attention towards their pockets. Loki just groaned in annoyance, wanting nothing more but to take out his phone and destroy it. The next time he sees Rocket, he is going to have a nice long conversation about these prank phone calls and finish this once and for all. He pulls out his phone, this time he sees Tony's id and number right on his screen, feeling as though he is going through an endless loop that is never going to end. He just puts his phone right back in pocket and sighs in complete frustration, leaned himself right on the chair and feeling as though he got beaten by the Hulk again for nonstop straight.

"I can't believe we are going through this." said Loki completely annoyed. "One of these days, we need to have a talk with that raccoon. I am honestly tired of his prank calls and I honestly wish he would stop."

"I though you enjoy a good prank?" asked Jane. "Isn't that the most mischievous thing for you?"

"Not if it becomes so obnoxiously old that it makes one want to destroy anything one gets their hands on." said Loki. "As much as I enjoy anything that will make me laugh or give us a little fun, but I do not enjoy it taking every single moment of my time and having my own conscious constantly thinking about it."

"When you put it that way, it does sound annoying." said Darcy as she cringes from pain and quickly tries to cover it up. "But still, what if this isn't another prank? What if there's something going on?"

"Darcy, I highly doubt it is an emergency." said Loki. "If anything, he is just trying to outdo himself in the greatest prank call of all time."

"Well, to be on the safe side, I will answer the call and see what's going on." said Thor as he picks up his phone to answer it and sets his phone to speaker.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." said Loki as he uses his magic to create an illusion to block out any sound from their table.

"I so can't wait to say I told you so." said Darcy rather excitedly in which Loki looked at her completely annoyed.

"Hey Thor, glad I finally reached you." said Steve. "Is Mysto with you?"

"Yes, he's right here." said Thor.

"Please tell me you are not in on this too." said Loki as he is already starting to fear the worst.

"No, you don't have to worry about that, I am planning to have a little talk with Rocket on that one." said Steve. "Though I wish this is a friendly phone call, we need your help."

"Told ya." said Darcy with a smirk, before cringing from pain.

"What seems to be the problem?" asked Loki, ignoring Darcy, completely annoyed and getting right into business.

"There's been a building collapse with civilians inside." said Steve.

"Isn't this something you, Romanoff, Stark and at times your other allies can usually handle on your own?" asked Loki completely confused. "I thought civilian rescue is something you preferred to keep it to yourselves, especially if my magic, Bruce's strength, and Thor's hammer might lead to more destruction. Why do you need our help now?"

"That's just the thing, we don't even know if it is natural." said Steve, as the four of them share a surprised and yet concern look.

"If it's not natural, then what do you think caused it?" asked Thor already fearing the worst.

"That's it we don't know, we are still trying to figure it out." said Steve. "This turned into an all hands on deck situation, we need you guys to come in, we need you to assist us in the situation."

"Alright, I will be there." said Thor ready for action and silently hoping it has nothing to do with Nightmare.

"Was there any magical activity I should examine?" asked Loki. "What is the status of the incident? Is there anything else we should be worried about?"

"There hasn't been any reports of anything unusual in the area and as far as we know there are forty people trapped inside." said Steve. "It is difficult for rescue personal to go in and out, so they called us in to help."

"Alright, just to be on the safe side I am going to assist." said Loki. "If there's magic involve then I am the only one who might help stand a chance and any debris that may stand in our way."

"Great, we are still in Avengers Tower and going to do a debrief, the Guardians agreed to help us and we are going to leave afterwards." said Steve. "Oh Mysto, here's a warning, wear the suit when you arrive. Sam will be here to help and since he doesn't know your identity, so-"

"Got it, do not fear I will be fully prepared by the time I arrive at the tower." said Loki.

"Be sure, the Guardians are well hidden before we leave." said Thor. "They will be in danger if someone sees them and start a panic."

"Don't worry, we all already come up with a plan on how we can deal with that, I will talk to you after the briefing." said Steve. "I am going to make a few more phone calls, see you both in a few."

"We'll both be there as soon as we can." said Thor as he ends the phone call.

The four of them all took a moment to think about what is now happening and how things may be more than what they may be thinking. Thor is starting to worry what might be causing this threat and if it has anything to do with Nightmare. While Loki is pondering what kind of foe they may be up against and if magic has anything to do with this, if there is something they all should be worried about. Jane can't help but feel that this may be bigger than a simple building collapse and maybe there is something bigger that may be happening and they should be ready for it. The three of them are thinking about what could possibly be the cause of the building collapse and the entirety of the situation and would have continued to do so, until...

"I knew it, I was right!" said Darcy happily. "Didn't I tell you guys it might be important and it might be an emergency? Here you were assuming that it was nothing but a prank call. Well Loki it looks like it wasn't."

"I am fully aware of the situation, do you really need to gloat?" asked Loki, giving a sigh. "I am only relieved that Rogers is just as annoyed as I am and plans to talk to Rocket about the excessiveness of his pranks."

"Regardless, we still have to hurry to help all those people." said Thor. "Maybe you should-"

"I am one step ahead of you." said Loki as he uses his magic to change into the Mysto costume without his mask for only Thor, Jane and Darcy to see.

"What about-" starts Thor.

"I plan to put it on once we arrive, there's no need to worry, only you three can see my true appearance." said Loki. "Once we leave this area, then I will be seen in my Mysto costume and it will be as though I have it on the entire time."

"Alright then, we need to get going." said Thor as he gets up from the table, picking up his hammer.

Yeah, let's go." said Darcy excitedly getting up before sitting back down and groaning from the pain.

"Darcy, wouldn't it be better for you to go home?" asked Loki rather gently.

"What? No! There's no way I am going to miss out on this." protested Darcy. "Especially if it's an emergency and I am not going to stay home and watch tv, when I know I can be there."

"Darcy, we both know that right now it is not the best idea for you to go out there and-" starts Loki.

"Loki, I can handle myself and things are not getting worse." said Darcy as she cringe from pain. "I can't just go home and not know what's going on."

"There's your television set, couldn't you watch that?" asked Loki matter of factly.

"Yeah, but it's not the same, I need to be close to the action and I can't do that from my living room." said Darcy. "Come on guys, I so can go and help, it... will be alright..."

"Darcy, we shouldn't continue ignoring the facts and ignore that you are-" start Loki.

"Loki, I am fine, just let this go already." said Darcy annoyed. "Besides you guys have to go help those people and you can't help them if you are worrying over me, so just drop it alright."

"I will not simply drop it, especially knowing that-" starts Loki.

"Wait, hold up a sec." said Jane ready to stop this from escalating further. "Thor, Loki, can I talk to you?"

"Yes, of course." said Thor.

"Can it wait?" asked Loki impatiently.

"Nope, it can't because you know why." said Jane gesturing towards Darcy.

"Fine." said Loki rather reluctantly before turning to Darcy. "Please do not think that this conversation is over."

Without another word being said, Loki joined the others and he already has a ton of things going on his mind that not even Thanos could dare steer his mind to a whole new direction. All he wants to get Darcy on a path of a recovery and he can't do that if Darcy continues down this path and that is only going to make everything worse. He really wishes that whatever Jane is going to say, it will be a solution where it will only solve all of his problems and not make the situation worse than it already is. The seconds feel longer than an eternity and nothing could ever change it, Loki quickly casts a spell to block out the conversation, so Darcy will not hear it and the conversation becomes more heated. He is ready to speak his mind, to say everything he has to say without even wasting another minute and to try to get them to see his point of view and help him with dealing with this.

"I may not be a healer, but even I know that Darcy may not be feeling well." said Thor. "Was she really like this all day?"

"Yes, she said ever since she woke up she has been feeling this way." said Loki. "She told me that it would run its course and will not last long, I hoped it would have been case. But we were wrong, if anything she is now getting worse by the minute and I believe she shouldn't be exerting herself any longer."

"I know what you mean, she isn't acting like herself," said Jane, "and I think we may be the most disruptive costumers of the whole restaurant."

"If I am being honest, I believe Darcy's health is far more important than their opinions on us." said Loki.

"Did you really just say you do not care about others' opinions?" asked Thor completely surprised. "I never thought I would see the day you would ever think this way, let alone say it."

"Thor, she's my friend and she is ill, I believe I could sacrifice a positive impression among strangers if it means I could help her." said Loki crossing his arms. "You both saw how this lunch went and Darcy's attempts to keep it all a secret, this can't go on like this."

"I totally agree." said Jane. "Did anything happen when you went to go check on her?"

"I would rather not say, it is not my story to tell." said Loki first feeling uncomfortable before returning to his regular mood. "But from what I have seen, she has gotten worse and it does not seem to be stopping. She needs to go to her home, to rest and hopefully recover from this, at the rate things are going it is obvious things are not going to change for the better."

"Loki, if Darcy was this ill, then we shouldn't leave her alone and get her help as soon as possible." said Thor. "I'm surprised you didn't-"

"Don't you think I know that? I do not want Darcy to be alone when she's ill, especially knowing how fast her ailment is progressing." said Loki. "What else can we do? It's not like we can take her to Avengers Tower and expect her to rest as we deal with this crisis."

"You know maybe that's not a bad idea." said Jane as she comes up with a idea.

"What? Jane you can't be serious, if anything it will only lead to more trouble." said Loki. "If you still haven't realized, we are talking about Darcy. The very person who would be happy if one of the Avengers signed a napkin to her and will be more than happy to jump into any mission given the chance? Do you really think placing her in Avengers Tower with the hopes she would rest is a good idea?"

"Yes, just think about it, if Darcy's in Avengers Tower then she'll be right near the action sort of and she will still be somewhere she can rest." said Jane. "It's a fair compromise where she can still know what's going on, be close to the action and just relax and hang out."

"It may be a better alternative than sending her home and hope for the best." responded Thor. "Not too mention, she will not be alone and if the situation becomes worse than we can ever imagine. At least we will get her help a lot faster than relying on her to simply call us and hope for the best."

"I don't know..." said Loki as he can already imagine the potential disasters of Darcy being in Avengers Tower right now.

"Come on Loki, at this point this is the only good plan we have." said Jane. "Besides, I will be there and since Bruce is a doctor, so if anything happens at least she will have someone there to help. It's a better idea than sending her home and hope that nothing is going on, besides what if she gets sicker and she can't call for help or something?"

Loki stops to think about what Jane just said and all the options and possibilities that are standing right in front of him. He didn't even think of what could happen if Darcy's condition takes a turn for the worse and she can't get help or if she continues to ignore her symptoms or if whatever is causing the building collapse decides to expand the rampage and it hits Darcy's apartment building. He can only imagine how the scene would play out, if Darcy can barely make it through the streets of the city without feeling intense stomach pain, what makes him think that she can escape a collapsing building like this? They may have no other choice, but to do this, he only hopes that they are not going to regret this.

"Perhaps that might not be a bad idea, it might be best if she is somewhere I know she will be safe and won't be alone until I return." said Loki reluctantly before becoming worried. "It took us a while to get here on foot, I can hardly imagine how long for the walk to Avengers Tower. How am I going to get there as quickly as I can with Darcy like this?"

"Couldn't you use one of those hidden portals to see if it could lead you both to the tower?" suggested Thor.

"You know as well as I do that it doesn't work that way." said Loki. "Each one of the portals are in a set location and it is usually for any location further away from your origin. None of the closest ones leads to Avengers Tower, unless Darcy and I are in the mood to enter a different planet without worry."

"Alright, probably not the best idea." said Thor.

"Wait, I think I have an idea." said Jane happily. "Only don't worry, you guys can go on ahead, I will go over there with Darcy and we will meet you guys over there."

"What are you-" starts Loki.

"You'll see, but first can you?" said Jane pointing up in the air to indicate the spell.

"Oh right." said Loki, he quickly undos the spells so Darcy will hear what they have to say.

"Things are going to be fine, just follow my lead." said Jane rather confidently, both brothers exchange a look, following her to the table.

"Do you know what she is planning to do?" asked Loki in a whisper.

"I have no idea." whispered back Thor simply.

They all returned to the table, unsure how to break the news or to tell Darcy the plan they all had in mind. The three of them knows that Darcy is going to be at least a little excited on what was planned and the mere idea of being in Avengers Tower once again, but it might lead to a even bigger problem where Darcy might try to get involve and not be happy sitting on the sidelines. But they know that this is the best solution and might be the only one for now, they only hope that Darcy takes the news well and things do not escalate to a full blown argument. All three of them look at one another, unsure what to say or who should start the conversation, they were all nervous on how this conversation is going to turn out and if they are ready for the biggest argument of the afternoon. Before either one of them can gather the courage to break the silence...

"So are you guys going to say something or can we get going Avengers Tower?" asked Darcy rather impatiently as she tries her best to hide her stomach pain.

"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" asked Loki who still unsure if they should go through with it.

"Yeah, I still think going to Avengers Tower is a better idea than Darcy just going home." said Jane. " We still need to go out there and see what we should do to help and arguing is not going to help save these people. So you guys should really get going and save those people before things get any worse."

"See Loki, I told you I am completely fine and I can tag along." said Darcy before cringing from the pain. "So yeah, you have nothing to worry about..."

"I hope none of you make me regret this." said Loki as he gives a reluctant sigh.

"Don't worry I won't..." said Darcy happily, before grunting from pain. "Now come on, let's get going..."

"Ok, Loki and I will go on ahead and we will meet both of you at the tower." said Thor.

"Wait, what?" said Darcy completely surprised, turning to Loki. "I thought that you and I were going to go to the tower together."

"As much as I would like to accompany you, but I am needed at the tower and I can not afford to lose a second." said Loki. "So Jane will accompany you, to the tower, I apologies for the inconvenience but this is the only way for all of this work out."

"But Loki, you know that they don't know and we shouldn't-" start Darcy.

"I wish that can be the case, but you and I know where I am needed." said Loki. "I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and once you both are at the tower, I will come and check on you. I would take more time to talk, but I really need to go."

"Wait Loki!" said Darcy desperately. "We really should talk about this and-"

"Darcy, I have to go." said Loki. "I will see you soon."

Without another word being said, Loki and Thor quickly head their way out of the restaurant and head on their way towards Avengers Tower. Not wanting to waste another second, wondering what they may be up against and if they are even ready for it. The moments feel as though they are running through an endless loop, as they race through the streets of New York, with the determination to head over and see what they can do to help. To stop the potential disaster from getting any worse and with the hope they will be able to get there as soon as possible.

Loki can't help but think about Darcy as he continues on his way towards the tower and wonder to himself if he made the right decision. If Darcy coming along to Avengers Tower is a good idea, if it is really going to work out, especially knowing how Darcy has been throughout the day. Especially knowing that her condition is escalating and nothing is going to change. If anything Loki is more worried that Darcy might go for a turn for the worse, if her symptoms get worse or if new ones appear, there is no telling what may happen. But still maybe there is hope and with Banner being there, he can see for himself if there is something going on and determine if Darcy needs medical attention. He really hopes that she will use this time to rest and will be fine by the time the crisis is over.

Loki doesn't know where this path will lead or if he will ever be ready what may be next, but he only wishes that this will end well. That he doesn't regret this choice, but then again he may be over thinking this, maybe everything will be alright and Darcy is going to be alright. Maybe she will simply rest while they deal with the crisis at hand and it will not be anything more than a structure problem. Loki knows that this is simply wishful thinking, but still it is better than the current situation and maybe with luck then he will not have anything to worry about, at least Loki hopes that will be the case...

I'm back! Well, sort of for now at least...

Here's the first chapter of the new Redemption special, a four part special that takes place three months after the events of Redemption. Finally some Loki: Redemption content that isn't a deleted scene, it is also something that will continue the story and allow us to see the characters where they are now and see what happens next, see the Guardians finally repair their ship, to see if Loki makes his choice, see how Thor and Loki are getting along after all the events of Redemption, along with seeing Loki and Darcy's friendship grow as they continue to go on this journey and live their life on Earth. Maybe even see some of the after effects that we still have yet to see happen, it is something I kinda glossed over in the final chapters of Redemption.

Especially since we did not see how the final battle against Thanos affected Thor and Darcy. Due to the fact of how Loki nearly gave his life up to stop Thanos and for Thor's sake, the mere idea of Nightmare existing in another dimension and him being the only one who knows what he is capable of. We never really got to see how they were afterwards. I really want to explore this, especially seeing how their relationships with Loki are growing over the course of story. Since Thor and Loki are just rebuilding their relationship and Darcy and Loki have their will they or won't they dynamic, they are going to be the most affected by it and need time to heal from their trauma. This fanfic is also a chance for us to see Loki's growth since we last left him, as we continue to see him go on this journey and the next stage of it. We are now seeing how things are going ever since the first fanfic end, along with seeing some story progression as the special goes on.

Don't worry, we are going to see more of the Guardians in the other parts, they are the ones that this fanfic are named after. We are going to see them play a huge role in the special, especially once we get to the main conflict of this story. They are going to be big players, not just Rocket going around and making prank calls. Plus we are also going to have Falcon making his debut in this fanfic, so that is going to add some more conflict to the story, since they still have to worry about helping rescue those people in the collapse building, keeping Loki's true identity a secret and now whatever Darcy is now going through, seeing that she is not doing any better and things might take a turn for the worse, especially if one puts Darcy right inside Avengers Tower.

Here's the thing about this special, it is serving as a transition point between the first Redemption and the possible sequel. It is here to set the grounds for the sequel to first Loki fanfic and will be the moment where we get to see the change start to play out and you can't really get into the sequel without noticing the changes. You don't have to read this to know what's going on, but it is a nice interlude to help fill in the gaps and for us to catch up right into speed. It's a necessary read if you want to see how things played out before the sequel, but at the same time it's not really one and you can dive right in and get the idea. Kinda like the Descendants movies, where they release the books and additional content prior to the movie and even if you miss out you still get the general idea.

Just because I am doing this special, it does not mean that the other ideas are canceled or the potential sequel is on a fast track. The release order would be this special, the Gamora prequel, the holiday special, maybe one shot series, the second epilogue and then sequel. While the one shot series will happen eventually, but I am not really in a hurry, maybe once I fully develop it more than it is subject to change. But as of right now I am going to put my main focus on the special and then the long awaited Gamora prequel one shot, then the holiday special and I may have some ideas for a possible Redemption sequel...

The next part of the special will come out by the end of July to early August. I still have to work on it and let's just say things are going to get harder for Loki, Darcy, Thor and Jane. Especially when we reach the main conflict and we get to see how things are going to play out. I wish I could say more, but I can't really say without accidentally revealing something. Though I think the only thing, I can say is that there are going to be a lot of Loki and Darcy moments in this fanfic and some that might even pull on some heartstrings...

So what is making the building collapse? Is it some kind of magical activity or is it Nightmare related or is it just a simple flaw in the infestrusure or just mother nature as a whole? What is going on with Darcy? Is she ok? Will she listen to Loki and rest or will she make things harder not only for herself, but everyone else? Will they all manage to keep Loki's secret from Sam Wilson/Falcon? Even then that is the least of their concerns, as we look at the current state of the situation. What will Loki choose? Will he leave with the Guardians of the Galaxy or stay on Earth? Where is this story going to go from here?

I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of the special, see you in the next chapter. :)
