I take a sip of my drink as I slip on my headset, taking a seat in a nice leather office chair. "Alright, I'm back. Sorry about that. Issei distracted me by talking about his girlfriend again. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?"
A female voice echoes through my headphones. "Well, not really. I sold a few weapons and bought more ammo, but that's about it, but... girlfriend? Pardon? Even when he is- hm... good for him."
"I know, sort of hard to believe." I sigh under my breath.
"That's... a little harsh." The girl weakly protests.
"No, it's not. And that's why I'm on edge." I continue as I quickly walk my character over to a nearby NPC and click the 'sell junk' option.
My name is Vertti Hyoudou.
But that wasn't always the case.
The term is reincarnation.
Isekai to some.
'Self Insert' to others.
Basically I went to sleep one day, the next I woke up in the body of some four year old kid that looks a lot like that one Fallen of Albaz Yugioh card from my past life.
Dark skin, white hair with streaks of orange, one eye that's scarred and blind, the other a deep blood red.
Anyways, I woke up as the Fallen of Albaz- now my username on everything I ever play- in a fictional shitty titty anime called Highschool Dxd and I was apparently adopted by the main character's family... somehow. For some reason.
I genuinely don't know.
Anyways, my life was pretty good. Boring. I kept looking to see if I had any special powers, because if I remember correctly, this bastard that my body is based on could turn into dragons.
Doesn't seem like I can do that, or at least, if I can I haven't figured it out yet. It was sort of depressing to be a seemingly normal- if very attractive- human in a world where blowing up cities the size of Tokyo is considered a fairly meager feat.
I sort of relented, preparing to just become a background character... BUT. In a twist of fate, I got my hands on a devil summoning flier.
I of course, used it and summoned a certain red head to play games with me.
One thing led to another and now we sort of just play together, no contract needed, which is swell, as I don't really want to get hunted for sport by that fucking one psycho guy if I can remember my basic dxd plots correctly.
"You're on... edge?" Rias repeats.
"Yeah. She feels... off... sort of like that vibe I get from you where my body is telling me that if you really wanted you could rip out my spine like a mortal combat finisher."
I scratch my chin as I look to the side, letting out a low hum. "Actually, that's the exact vibe I get from her, only she seems even worse because of this fake smile and personality she put on. Oh and don't even get me started on how they met. She claimed that she saw him walk home from school often... while wearing a Sorumei Highschool uniform! Like, that's on the other side of the fucking town! Why the hell would you ever go there if Kuoh was much closer and more prestigious! Not to mention the timetables don't fucking add up. Our school lets out at around three, same with Sorumei. Issei and I are normally back by three fifteen at the latest if we take even the slowest meandering pace... not including days when Issei stays to observe... ugh... club activities. But in such cases, we don't get back until like five or five thirty, at which point begs the question why the hell is she only just now going home."
"Anyways, to get to our walking path from her school, to the place where she said she sees Issei walking home, she'd need to walk at a pace of like twenty miles an hour. So either this girl is lying, an Olympic athlete in the making comparable the greatest sprinters ever recorded in human history..."
"Or she's not human." Rias states with an interested hum. "Alright. I'll take a look. It is my job as the overseer of this town. Is there anything I should know about her?"
"She looks a lot like Akeno if she let her hair down." I admit.
"…" Rias falls silent.
"Pale skin, black hair, purple eyes, yeah, they could easily say they are twins annnnd oh yeah, he said they're going out Sunday. Soooo"
"Gotcha. From your descriptions of her, something is rubbing me the wrong way. I'll make sure Issei is safe." The devil on the other side of the line proclaims.
"Thanks, Rias, I owe you one." I smile.
"Gimmie the next legendary drop and we'll be even." She snorts.
"Ugh. You loot goblin. Why are you so greedy! You already got the last five because they played into your build!" I needle with a small grin.
"If I see something I want it! It's the devil way!" The busty redhead on the other side of the call replies good naturedly.
"Hn. Fine." I relent with an overdramatic sigh. "Oh woe is me, puny highschooler, getting bullied by my smarter, more athletic and more successful friend."
"Pssh this isn't bullying." The girl waves off. "Do you want to see bullying?"
"Uh... nah. I'm good. There's like... a not small percent chance that I'd be into it."
*Snrk-* She snorts cutely. "You degenerate!"
"Insult me more." I deadpan.
"Uhhh... your orange highlights are weird?" The girl tries.
"How. Rude." I huff with a snooty voice. "I'll be putting that on my yelp review for your services... right next to 'she used necromancy to reanimate my cat."
"You fool! Devils don't use yelp!" The girl exclaims. "Muahahah! My ratings shall continue to be perfect!"
"That's what you think. I'm jacking off- I mean in- to your computer. Right now. Expect your background- which I know is like fuckin shirtless Dio or something change to... uh... I don't know... the pope... or something." My tirade weakly dies out.
"You Fiend! Also no. Its shirtless Goku. I changed it last week."
"Damn. I should have known." I whisper.
"You really should have. Bad friend. Not knowing my desktop background. For shame." The girl mocks.
"Do you know what mine is?" I shoot back.
"Juvia from Fairy Tail in a really skimpy bikini." She replies without even a moment of hesitation.
"…"
I alt tab from the game.
"Damn. She's good." I mutter under my breath.
I slowly look around my room.
"Stop looking around. I don't have a camera in your room. And even if I did, you'd never find it." The girl in my headset smirks condescendingly.
I tab back in.
"Creepy." I simply mutter.
"Whaaat? Noooo. That's not creepy at all." Rias waves off.
"That's nearing stalker and yandere territory If true. Do I have to worry about monster wife going around killing every girl I look at for five seconds because 'the only one I should look at is you'? Are you going to bust down my door, pin me down, and FAHK me?! Like this game has been fucking me with my shit RNG?!"
"Who knows~" The devilish younger sister of the current Lucifer grins. "The chance isn't zero. Unlike your chance to get a legendary drop."
"Oooooh." I wince. "Low blow."
"And, how big of a chance are we talking here, hm? Is it the age old 'there's always a chance for a gorilla to bust into your house and rip your arms off' chance, or perhaps a slightly larger chance."
"Don't tempt me." The girl warns before moving onto our objective for the day. "You ready to go take out that Necromancer now?"
"Yeah yeah, lets-a go. Wahoo." I hum nonchalantly.
"Cringe."
"Alright. Fuck you, ginger. Your race has to take souls because you don't have one." I pout.
We leave the town, heading towards our goal, a cave on the northern side of the first town.
The game we are playing is called 'Industrial Fantasy Three, tales of the Dragon' a single player- with four player co-op accessibility- sci-fi fantasy turn-based game where our heroes explore the world of Dainruin, trying to find the lost shards of some sort of divine dragon deity's diamond heart.
It has turn-based combat sort of similar to Hyperdimension Neptunia mixed with Valkyria Chronicles and Xcom. Toss in some Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous elements, primarily the equipment system, stats, damage, and such and you've got a game that never existed in my old world.
Devil bullshit is the best. They've streamlined the gaming industry with MAGIC.
Anyways, this is staggeringly fun. It came out just yesterday and already Rias and I are having a blast.
"So like, I've had this thought on my mind for a while, but like... Necromancy is the most efficient magic in the entire world."
"P-Pardon?" Rias questions, more than likely genuinely confused by my sudden statement with zero prompt.
"Like- no no no hear me out. You tear someone's soul out and boom. Ghost. That's minion one. Then you rend their flesh from their bones and animate that, boom. Skeleton minion. You take the blood and viscera and then create some sort of blood construct, like a vampiric ooze or blood golem... then... THEN you take the meat and turn it into flesh golem. One person. Bunch of minions."
"I don't think a single human body contains enough blood to make anything impressive out of it, I would also assume the same goes for flesh?"
"Well. I mean, that's still two and a half minions with each person! Super efficient." I declare proudly.
"Verrti this is genuinely unhinged!" The girl replies.
"Let me cook!" I demand. "On said topic of spirit and zombies, that gives me a great idea for a comedy movie, so like, the plot is this, the zombie apocalypse happened, and our main character is dead, the only thing is, he's a ghost that's trying to get his undead body to do what he wants. I'll call it... 'Bone to be wild'."
"Ugh." The girl scoffs.
"it's a good idea! You can't tell me otherwise!"
I lay on my bed, phone held up to my ear as I look over a magazine with a bored frown. "Yo, Rias. How are you."
"Your brother was attacked."
I sit up. "Shit! Is- is he okay?!"
"Yes, he's fine. Just shaken up a little bit. You were right, by the way, there was something off about his girlfriend. She was a fallen angel."
"Shit..." I whisper. "What happened to her?"
"She is gone. For good." The redhead announces.
"Oh good." I hum.
"I'm also outside." The girl declares.
*Knock Knock Knock*
I hear knuckles rap on my window, drawing my eyes to the side as I let out a long sigh and get up, walking across my room where I pull back the blinds.
A busty red haired girl is floating there, large bat-like wings on her back.
I slide the window open and step aside as I hang up my cellphone.
"Come in before someone sees you and shits themselves." I state with a small smirk.
She climbs in the window and looks around briefly as I speak up again.
"So. What brings you here, Rias." I question as I walk back to my bed, sitting my phone down on my bedside table.
"Well, I have an offer for you." She smiles brightly.
"Yeah?"
"Join my peerage!" The girl all but demands.
I stare at her for a fairly long moment. "Huh. I wasn't expecting that... why me?"
"Well, it's simple! You are fun to game with and as an extremely selfish and long-lived being I don't want to lose my co-op partner to old age." She declares. "Also, if you join my peerage I can ensure that you get stronger so you won't have to worry about anything supernatural. Because as it stands, the chance of you being killed by something supernatural related each year isn't as low as you think. Stray devils and youkai, fallen angels, even the chance of being collateral damage in a fight."
"Fair point. Hn. I am genuinely considering it."
"Just think of the life span! Don't you want to know what games will be like in one hundred years?"
"I sort of feel like I'd be one of those 'back in my day we played games with controllers'. Sort of old men. But fuck it. You get magic, right?"
"Yes! We do!" Rias beams.
"Alright. I agree." I shrug with a good natured smile. "But I warn you, I'm probably going to be hilariously weak."
"Verrti, in an RTS... would you rather have ten level one heroes or one level ten?" The girl questions.
"Tough question." I shrug. "I'd personally say it depends."
"I am a firm believer in the first. Ten people. If given care and nurtured correctly, could level up to ten and even go beyond." She beams me a bright smile. "If you were powerful now, that'd be fine and all, but, honestly, I don't care. If you are weak, you are weak, but you won't always be like that. You will have thousands of years to better yourself. I'm almost certain you don't have a sacred gear, but that doesn't matter. A human without one can reach levels that scare even the top fighters of entire pantheons. Have I ever told you about the Exorcist, Vasco Strada?"
"I don't believe you have." I reply with a head shake.
"Vasco Strada was a part of the catholic church their top exorcist during world war two. He was just a man. No sacred gear. No special bloodline. He alone through hard work got acknowledged by the sword Durandal, and grew his strength to the point where even leaders of the fallen angels, a Cadre, fled from battle with him during the second world war."
"Wait wait. Question. Wasn't Italy a part of the Axis during World War two? You are telling me that the church backed a genuine psychopath like Hitler?"
"…"
"Was the fallen angels the good guys?!" I mutter in confusion.
"Weeeelll uh, it's a little more nuanced than the Human history books. A lot had to be cut out, after all, buuuut I'll be sure to get you some books on real history soon enough."
"That'd be pretty interesting to read. I sure hope George Washington is like... a secret lizard person. That'd prove a lot of my personal conspiracy theories." I hum with a slight smirk.
"Alright. In that case let's get on with it." Rias nods as with a flash a crystal chess set appears in her hands, a few pieces are missing, but she still has all eight pawns, a knight, a rook, and a bishop remaining."
She takes out a sole pawn. "I, Rias Gremory, Heiress to the house of Gremory, wish that you will join my peerage. My family. Do you accept?"
"Sure." I shrug. "Sounds good."
"Very well." The girl nods as she takes a step forwards.
She holds out her hand towards my chest, the piece glowing brightly as she presses it against my chest.
"…"
She pushes it slightly harder.
"Okay, ow. That's starting to hurt a little bit." I wince.
She pulls back, eyes wide as she looks to the piece. "What the hell?! You're worth more than one?!"
"Excuse me?!" I whisper, my expression mimicking her surprise. "No no no. That can't be possible! Do you know how many hours I spent trying to see if I had ANY power? Like... at all!?"
"…"
"A depressing amount!" I continue.
She continues staring at me, prompting me to reveal something I probably shouldn't due to embarrassment, but eh, we're friends. "Like I did everything I could think of. Pretended to shoot kamehamehas, animorph transform into a dragon or dinosaur, like nothing fucking stuck. And here you are telling me that I am worth more than one?!"
"You didn't need to tell me your deepest darkest secret." The girl impishly smirks. "Some people with incredible magic potential are worth more than one pawn. To be worth two pawns for a high class devil like myself... hm... that is certainly something. Your potential must be quite large... in such a case I would rather spend just my bishop instead of two pawns."
She grabs her bishop piece and like the pawn, it glows brightly... but doesn't sink into my skin much like the pawn.
Her amused smirk is wiped away as she looks to the bishop piece. "Huh?"
"…"
She looks up slowly. "That is... unusual..."
"To reject a bishop... a human with zero current special abilities... merely potential..." She whispers mostly to herself.
She grabs her rook, and once more, the piece is rejected.
"W-What?! I KNOW you don't have a sacred gear! What the hell?!" She looks up to me. "You are sure that you're human, right? Do you have some sort of ancestry that you don't know about?!"
"How would I know about an ancestry I don't know about?!" I shoot back. "But, I mean, I was adopted. I have multicolored hair, an honest to god scar, I'd say there's a fair bet that I'm not exactly human... which is why I tried so hard to see if I had some sort of power."
I notice her flinch. "oooh. Sorry about that."
"Don't worry about it." She waves off before falling silent, then she grabs all of her pawns. "This... is the last thing I can think of... seven pawns... that's enough to revive a longinus... plus I have this mutated one that's worth anywhere from two to... eight? Possibly more.
She tries six pawns... which doesn't work.
Seven.
She tries just the mutation piece, then, once even that doesn't work, she tries it alongside one of the pawns...
Then two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Six.
Her hands are shaking as she lifts the final piece, she looks like she's about to start crying, apparently hating that things aren't going her way.
Frankly, I am absolutely shell shocked.
I am worth anywhere from eight to possibly over ten pawns.
What the shit?
That...
That can't be right... right?
As the eighth piece touches my chest, she falls forwards slightly, the pieces slipping through my clothes and into my torso as if they weren't even there to begin with.
She looks a little shell shocked. "Huh? Oh... it worked."
She lets out a long sigh of relief and gives me a thumbs up. "Hang on, I need to make a call. I'd also personally suggest like... getting some noise canceling headphones for a while."
She stands up and looks over her shoulder briefly. "Continue our campaign at ten?"
"I'd like to know what you did with my brother after you iced his girlfriend, first." I blandly observe.
"Oh? I just erased his memory of the event more or less. To him, she just stood him up." She explains as she walks over to my open window, then flies off.
"…"
"hn."
I flinch back as a screen appears in front of me, a hand coming to my chest as it begins beating erratically.
After a few seconds to calm myself down from the jump scare, I offer the screen a slow blink.
Huh?
Initializing Startup.
Booting.
Booting.
Booting.
Startup complete. Welcome User.
What opens looks to be... literally YouTube. But instead of 'Youtube' it's the word 'Completionism' with an 'infinity' ouroboros symbol next to it.
Numerous, almost endless media litters my home screen. Anime, movies, books, hell, there are even video games-
A Rwby movie? That's strange. I don't remember one of those ever being made...
Metal Gear Rising Revengance t-two? H-huh?!
The system gathers media from the endless parallel multiverse. If you can think of it. It more than likely exists.
"That'll make my indecision sooo much worse. So. Is this it? My power is just basically multiversal hulu?"
The sidebar opens, where you would normally find subscriptions, libraries, and all that sort of stuff, firstly, there's a watchlist, it'd be a shitty multiversal hulu without that, next there is a 'completion rating' tab?
I open it and it pulls open a new screen, but it is completely blank.
Below that tab, there is a screen simply labeled as 'Completion shop' which opens a third screen, it simply states 'no connected media'.
"Huh..." I muter to myself as I look to the open window, then back to the screen.
So what's the deal with-
Alright. So. I won the lottery with my power.
It's pretty simple what it does.
I watch things.
I play things.
I read things.
When I complete something, I get money to buy stuff from the system shop. "Rias. Rias Rias RIAS! I've got powers."
The red haired girl on the other side of the headset sounds a little confuddled. "Huh? I left for like... two hours, you are telling me that you have already figured them out?"

I've taken a brief look in the shop, and HOLY SHIT! I can get the power pole!
The only issue with my power is that it seems like I can only purchase items that have appeared in the anime.
So I can get the four star dragon ball, I can get the power pole, I can buy Kid Goku and Bulma, but I can't get a senzu bean.
"I can hear the smirk on your face. What is it?"
"Tell me, Rias... have you ever wanted to have Goku... as a rook?" I question quietly.
"…"
"H-Huh?"
"Don't worry about it."
"No no no. Verrti you motherfucker you CANNOT just move on after saying that shit! What. Do. You. Mean."
"Why don't you come over and see?"
*THUD*
I flinch, looking over the side to see Rias' face pressed up against the window.
I hear her voice twice, one muffled, the other through my headphones. "Don't test me, I'll do something you'll regret."
"Jes- ow FUCK!" I curse loudly. "Damn it woman! What is your obsession with Goku?!"
The window slides open. "What the fuck is THIS?!"
She gestures wildly to the screen floating beside me.
"Oh good, you can see it too... I was half convinced I was going crazy." I mutter mostly to myself as I look to the screen.
I glance back to Rias. "To answer your question... think... multiversal hulu with loyalty rewards."
"…"
"Huh?"
"Said rewards may include techniques, items, powers, people. Y'know. Total bullshit stuff." I continue.
"What." She whispers, soundly completely shell-shocked.
"So... want to watch all of dragon ball... including the newest series?" I hum with a smug smirk.
"New... Series..." She breathes quietly.
I sit in bed, arm slung around the shoulders of the debatably hottest girl in the entirety of Kuoh Academy. Akeno might have bigger breasts, but she's sort of an edgy bitch. That sort of subtracts a few points for me.
I can hear the door down stairs slam shut, causing me to wince lightly as I bring up my free hand and stick a pinky in my ear.
I hear a gentle thudding of someone coming up the stairs. The door handle twists and begins to slowly open.
"You were right." Issei sounds genuinely pained saying this. "She stood me up-"
He freezes as he fully opens the door.
"Wh-" his eyes stray from me to Rias who is cuddled up by my side. "WHAT THE FUCK?! RIAS GREMORY?!"
She offers him a polite wave.
I point a 'remote' towards the tv- which is turned off, I had just simply overlaid my system's window with the screen and pause what we were watching.
"VERRTI WHAT THE HELL, MAN! I LEAVE YOU ALONE FOR FIVE MINUTES AND YOU SEDUCE ONE OF THE GREAT LADIES OF KUOH?! YOU PRETTY BOY BASTARD!"
"Couple things." I begin raising a sole finger. "First off. It took a lot more than five minutes to become friends with Rias. Second off, I haven't seduced her, we aren't dating-"
I cast a glance to Rias. "I think."
She just shrugs. "We're just homies who hug. The much much less lewd version of friends with benefits."
"Oh my go-" My right eyebrow twitches due to a small spike of pain. "-sh that was so corny. And a really weird way to describe our relationship."
"Anyways, thirdly. This is probably just karma for my eye." I shrug while point up to the scarred part of my face.
"You never told me what happened to it..." The girl to my right mutters.
"Oh. That's because I genuinely have no idea. Botched C-section maybe? Man, I hope that whatever intern fucked my shit up got fired."
"So... you're not dating?" Issei mutters quietly.
"What's with all the yelling?" My adopted mother questions as she comes up the stairs.
She pauses at the door and looks into my room. "Oh, Rias, I didn't know you were here, dear."
The red head offers my mother a wave. "Hello Mrs. Hyoudou. How are you?"
"I'm fine dear, is my other son bothering you with his perversions?" She asks.
"Not at the moment, no." The devil replies with a small head shake.
"WAIT! YOU'RE NOT DATING?!" Issei shrieks. "T-Then... can I see your pant-"
My mother takes a single step to the side, allowing the pillow I hurled to smack into my adopted brother's face, cutting off his perversions with a muted slapping noise.
Miki Hyoudou, my mother, being the total saint that she is, slowly closes the door to my room, uttering a final. "I'll leave you to your... 'netflixing and chilling' I think today's kids call it?"
The door clicks shut as Rias suddenly looks to me. "Your family is fun."
"Eh. Yeah. They're pretty good. I have no complaints." I nod in agreement. "Though, I mean, Issei probably deserves a good beating every now and then."
I mentally will the episode to resume.
"DO IT!" Rias shouts.
"But Rias-"
"Do it you pussy!" She continues.
"It's embarrassing!" I frown.
"Come onnnnn please! I'll show you my boobs!" She continues to pester.
"No." I frown.
"Your brother would have leapt at that offer." Rias pouts.
"Unlike my brother I'm not a pervert." I point out.
"Everyone's a pervert! Most just don't openly show it!" She shoots back.
She gains a pleading expression. "Pleaaaaaaase. For me?"
I let out a long self-loathing sigh, my shoulders slumping as I rub my temple. "Fine."
I cup my hands at my side. "Kaaaaaa... meeeeee..."
Her hands shake with excitement as a blue orb of energy springs to life in between my palms.
"Haaaaaa meeeeeee..." I continue as the orb begins to grow, her blue eyes sparkling with excitement as I take aim at a tree in front of me.
"HAAAAAAA!" I roar as I fling my hands forwards.
A large wave of blue explodes from my hands rocketing across the little grassy clearing we found ourselves in and washing over the tree, it crashes through the bark and wood, shearing through the tree as it rockets past and detonates in the distance with an explosion that causes the ground to briefly rumble.
"AHAHAHAHAH!" The girl cackles. "THAT IS AMAZING!"
"Yes yes." I sigh while shaking my head. "I'm never doing that in a rating game, I hope you know."
"What?! Come on! Please!"
"No. Fuck off." I frown.
"I'll wear you down eventually." She points out blandly.
"Yeah yeah." I snort with an eye roll.
"If you were any other person I'd make you give out summoning fliers for your back sass!" The girl flushes crossing her arms under her sizable bust.
"We both know I'm better off doing absolutely nothing." I shrug calmly.
"W-Well... yes." The Gremory girl nods slowly. "So... shall we continue with Dragon Ball?"
"Eh, we should." I nod slowly as I stretch my arms above my head, eventually folding them back behind it as I walk over to Rias. "Let's go back to the clubroom, right?"
Rias holds up a hand as I near, a magic circle appearing underneath us.
With a flash we are back in the club room.
"Ah. Rias." The black haired sadistic wench that is Akeno mutters. "You are back. Oh, you as well, hello Verrti."
"Akeno." I greet lazily.
Y'know... I sort of hate that name. No clue who my parents are, but they really shafted me with such a foreign difficult to pronounce name in fucking Japan of all places.
I might change it. Maybe keep the V?
Who knows. I might just steal a name from that femboy god and call myself Venti. VE, replace the Rs with an N then keep 'TI' at the end. Tis not that much of a change, all things considered... and it would be much simpler to remember.
Genshin doesn't exist yet, so fuck him.
Like, where the fuck does 'Verrti' come form anyways?
"So. Dragon ball?" I question the girl beside me.
"Let's go." Rias nods. "I should have some popcorn and snacks around here... if Koneko hasn't eaten them all, that is."
I stare blankly at a panty-clad ass as a girl faceplants into the sidewalk, her dress flipped upwards and her rear stuck upwards.
Huh? Is that... Asia?
Ass-ia?
I thought we skipped this bit... she's late.
My eyes stray to Issei who is stood next to me.
The girl lets out a weak groan as she sits up.
My eyes stray to the side, an invisible window appearing next to me.

I place my hand on his shoulder, snapping him out of his oogling gaze. "Huh?"
"Why don't you go help her?" I ask as I silently purchase an understanding of Italian and pass it onto him.
Goodbye five hundred shop points. You will be missed. I've got a lot more kept back, however. That twenty five percent series completion rating really slapped hard.
I whisper into his ear. "She looks foreign. Stop acting like such a pervert and maybe you'll get a girlfriend."
"Er... Right... I still don't forgive you for being a pretty boy bastard, though." The boy frowns.
"Eh. Whatever." I shrug nonchalantly. "Go your duty as a bumbling visual novel protagonist and help the girl out of her depth."
"Er... right!"
I continue walking past the girl without another word.
**Chapter 2 Start**
"It is dangerous and irresponsible, Verrti! what if they hurt Issei- ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!" Rias shouts.
"Nope. I'm busy keeping an eye on Issei. Keeping an eye on the Ki Signatures around him is already super annoying. I don't really need your nagging right now, Rias."
She lets out a long sigh as she rubs her temples. "Honestly... what am I going to do with you?"
"Love and care for me?" I hum nonchalantly.
"Probably." She relents. "But at least you didn't go with him... that was probably the only thing you could have done that could have been worse-"
"Put a pin in that Rias... Psycho priest is trying to bisect my brother with a lightsaber. Be right back." I frown, eyes narrowing as I bring two fingers up to my head.
*SVVIT*
I reappear with the shrill squeak of instant transmission, my hand grabbing around the forearm of a certain white haired psycho priest. His hand raised above his head with what looks like a lightsaber within it.
"Wh-" he seems genuinely caught off guard.
"Hello there." I casually smirk.
I bend my elbow, smashing him in the nose and causing him to let out a shout of pain.
"SON OF A-"
I do it again, causing his muffled screams to intensify.
I kick him in the center of the torso, launching him away. He sinks into the dry rotted wall of the church as I let out a low hum.
The door is blasted off its hinges. "ALRIGHT WHO'S MAKING ALL THAT FUCKING NOISE?!"
Wait... that voice...
Standing before me is a blonde girl in a gothic black and white maid-esque uniform. She has blonde hair that is tied up into short pigtails and has bright blue eyes.
I hold up a single finger then quickly draw a circle in the air, then hurl it at the blond.
"WH-" her shout of surprise abruptly cuts off as the little donut of energy enlarges and pins her arms to her sides.
"W-What the fuck?! Did you just use Galactic Donut?!"
I reach out, putting Issei in a head lock and grabbing the shoulder of the innocent church girl with my other hand, the arm looped around Issei's neck comes to my forehead.
With a flash, we are moved across the clearing, appearing just in front of the blonde fallen.
I lift a leg and step on her foot.
"Wh- Ow!"
Then with another shrill squeak... we are suddenly gone.
I release Issei and Asia, then place a hand on the blonde fallen's shoulder.
"WAS THAT INSTANT TRANSMISSION!?" Said fallen shouts, still trapped within the galactic donut.
"VERRTI WHAT THE HELL?!" Rias snaps only to pause suddenly and slowly look to the fallen I had kidnapped. "Wait..."
"W-What's going on?!" Issei shouts. "Who was that guy?! Why did he try to hurt me?! B-Bro... you can TELEPORT?!"
"Yes. I can."
"WHAT?!" He screams.
"Let's calm down..." I begin slowly. "All will be explained shortly."
"T-That voice..." The fallen whispers, eyes growing wide.
"So. Let's all just sit down calmly, and we can go over everything in an orderly manner."
"A-Albaz?!" The girl whispers.
"Yes, FallenStar. It's me..." I gesture to Rias. "and that is Prinzessin des Ruins."
"I'm internet friends with the heiress of Gremory?!" She hisses under her breath, her hands shaking slightly.
"We will get to that later." Rias frowns as she looks to me, then turns to Issei and Asia. "Please sit. I will answer any questions that you might have. It is my responsibility as one of the two overseers of this town."
"W-What's going on?!" Issei stutters as I guide my little trapped fallen over to the couch and force her to take a seat.
She pouts at me and squirms in her bindings then stares at her lap as I take a seat beside Rias.
"Tell me, Issei... what do you know of mythology?"
"Like... Dragons, elves, and stuff?" He mutters.
"What if I told you that all of that was real." Rias smirks.
"W-What?" He whispers. "I-It's real?"
"N-No... that can't be- it isn't real, right?" He whispers.
"You don't realize you're speaking Italian right now, do you?" I hum with a smug smirk.
"H-HUH?!"
"Mr. Issei... it's... it's real." Asia weakly speaks up. "I've been given a gift from god."
There's a minor twitch to Rias' brow as I gain a slight headache.
With a dull glow, two rings appear on her fingers.
"H-Huh?!" The brown haired teen gasps.
"That. Is a sacred gear." Rias notes. "From the looks of it... it appears to be Twilight Healing. A highly monopolized sacred gear that every pantheon covets as magical healing is quite rare."
"A sacred gear is a boon that is granted to humans- and partial humans- during birth. They are quite random in who gets one, and there are varying in strength. A common one for instance, a Twice Critical, multiplies the user's physical and magical power by two. There are rarer ones, of course, take the thirteen Longinus for instance. Each and every one having the potential to defeat a deity."
"Wh... what does this have to do with me?" Issei questions.
"Well, Issei Hyoudou. I believe that you also have a sacred gear. A dragon attribute one if Koneko's nose is correct."
"I... I have a 'sacred gear'?" He questions. "A dragon one?!"
"That's wonderful Mr. Issei!" Asia beams.
He slowly looks between myself and Rias.
"So... what now?"
"Nothing will change... unless you want it to, of course." Rias smiles kindly. "Though... it seems you have a magnet for trouble, Issei. In just four mere weeks. A fallen angel seeks you out, pretends to be your girlfriend and tries to kill you... then just a mere thirty days later... a psychotic priest attempts to maim you."
"Wh- wait... Girlfriend?!" He whispers. "She... She just stood me up!"
He clutches his head suddenly letting out a small grunt of pain.
After a moment he looks up, eyes wide. "She... She tried to kill me! You erased my memories! How?! Why?! What the hell?!"
He points an accusing finger at Rias.
"That was actually my fault." I pipe in. "I wanted you to live a normal life. Well, as normal of a life someone with your after-school activities could live. I thought the fallen thing was sort of just a fluke, so I had Rias modify your memories a bit. I didn't want to bring you into this life. And I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect you."
"This life..." He whispers. "You... how long did you know about all of this?!"
"About three years. That was the day I first summoned Rias to play a game with me."
"Summoned?"
"Oh, allow me to be clear." Rias smiles. "I am not a human. I am Rias Gremory, Heir to House Gremory... a pure blooded devil of the underworld."
"D-Devil?! You are- insane? But... Yuma had wings." He scratches his chin, looking down.
He looks to me. "Hey... Ver... if she's a devil... what does that make you? Did the devil's put you in our family to watch over me because I have dragon powers?!"
"Oh of course not." I scoff with an eye roll. "I've always been your brother, dumbass. And I was- probably- human."
"Was?" He echoes.
"Probably?" The fallen questions.
"Oh. Rias reincarnated me into a devil about thirty days ago."
"HUH?!" He shouts. "SHE DID WHAT?!"
"She made me like her." I shrug. "Oh, on a side note... never do what I did. If a devil ever comes to you and asks you to join their peerage... decline it. I only agreed because I know Rias. I trust her. But... she could torture me violently if she wanted to."
"I'D NEVER DO THAT!" She exclaims.
"I'm aware. But can you say that no devil has ever done that to their peerage member?"
"…"
She looks away.
"Wh-What is happening?" Issei whispers while clutching his head. "I-I..."
He stands up. "I need to think."
"Take your time, Issei... you have all the time in the world to think about this." I mutter, my eye straying to Asia. "You... should probably stay with Issei."
I quietly install an understanding of Japanese into the blonde girl as I watch them both leave, losing another five hundred points.
"…"
The door clicks shut as Rias and I both turn to face the blonde angel.
"Join my peerage." Rias demands instantly.
"WOAH. Maybe jumping the gun a little bit there, Rias." I sigh, rubbing my temples as she greedily looks to one of her other online friends.
"Can you let me go already?!" she growls as she squirms in the galactic donut. "I have SEVERAL questions."
"Join my peerage and we'll answer them." Rias smiles brightly.
"Ignore her." I frown as with a wave of my hand, the ring of energy dissipates. "So, what are your questions, Fallenstar."
"Mittelt."
"Bless you." I deadpan.
"That is my name." She glares.
"I am SO sorry for you." I dramatically sigh.
She gives me a flat stare and shakes her head with an annoyed growl. "Ugh. Prick. I can't believe that you are both devils."
"What else would we be?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
"W-Well... you had fallen in your name... so I had thought you were a fallen angel." She sighs, drooping in her chair.
"Do most fallen have 'Fallen' in their name?" I question as I look to Rias.
"Don't look at me! How would I know?!"
"Don't you wax and wane about how you know everything?" I smirk.
"Don't you sass me, bitch boy. I'll pin you down and breed you." The red head rolls her eyes as she points an accusing finger at me.
"Promise?" I hopefully ask, a bright smile on my face.
"Oh wow... it really is you." Mittelt whispers. It looks as if she is spontaneously having an existential crisis. "I've been friends with the heiress of Gremory?! This entire time?!"
"And some random human schmuck, yes." I nod twice.
A long breath leaves her lips as she rubs her temples. "This is- a lot to process."
Her eyes slowly stray to Rias, narrowing briefly. "What would I have to do if I choose to join you... because frankly I'm tired of being 'mook fallen ten thousand one hundred and eighty seven'.
"Well, you'll be obligated to be player three." I admit.
Mittelt slowly turns to look at me. "Wait... did she reincarnate you JUST because she didn't want to lose an online friend?!"
"Preeetty much, yes. Then I discovered I had powers which was neat." I smirk. "Turns out I'm worth quite a few pieces... which I mean, I totally understand why if you take a moment to look at just what I can do."
"Instant transmission? Instant transmission AND galactic doughnut?!" The blonde questions.
"He can do the kamehameha too!" Rias beams.
"How?!"
"Secret." Rias slyly smirks. "Unless you join my peerage~ anyways, all I'll expect of you is being player three... maybe handing out fliers... but only if you annoy me."
Mittelt lets out a long sigh. "I... agree... but I want you to transfer me to this idiot when he makes it to High Class."
She gestures to me with a thumb.
"Oh? You're awfully trusting of me... we just met." I roll my eyes. "Doesn't it even cross your mind for a moment that I could have just been pretending the whole time we have interacted online?"
"Dude." The girl deadpans, giving me a half-lidded stare. "If you managed to stay in character for the past three years of like... extremely regular gaming... good job. You tricked me. I can respect it."
"I mean, you tricked me." I roll my eyes. "You've hidden the fact that you're a horny and deprived individual."
"H-Huh?" The blonde blinks.
"Remember that time you tried to sext me like... a year ago?" I ask.
"Wait... What?" Rias questions.
Mittelt goes ghostly pale.
"Yeah. Then you deleted the messages not even fifteen minutes later as you seem to have had second thoughts... or you just finished masturbating or whatever."
"Noooooooo." She lets out a low groan, clutching her head in her hands.
My shoulders shake as I hold back my laughter.
"I-I."
She seems to be desperately trying to deny the accusation, but... her overall reactions have done nothing but confirm what I said.
I let out a quiet snort, having finally managed to slip through my guard.
"Ahh... fun."
"I wasn't aware you were such a deviant, Star." Rias hums, a very amused smirk on her face. She is totally going to bully the petite fallen, isn't she?
"S-Stop!" The blonde wheezes. "Please."
"Fine." I sigh as I shake my head. "I'll stop. You look like you're about to cry and I would feel really shitty if I made you cry."
"You- You should feel shitty! Fucking bastard! How dare you ghost me!" She pouts, tears prickling at her eyes.
"I personally thought it might have been a mistake, so I just kept quiet." I shrug.
"Just-" she frowns, looking over to Rias. "Just get it over with, alright?"
"Bishop, Knight, or Rook?" Rias questions.
Mittelt stares into her eyes for a long moment. "Huh? I thought you'd use a pawn."
I raise a hand. "I took seven and a mutated pawn. She's out of pawns."
"You- you are worth MORE than a Longinus?!"
"Yeah." I nod once. "That means you get the choice of super speed, super strength, or more magic."
"Uh... K-Knight?" She shrugs.
"Cool." Rias hums as with a flash, a set of evil pieces appears in her hands, she fishes the horse shaped piece from the box and stands up. "Congratulations, Fallenstar- or rather, Mittelt- today I am going to reincarnate you into a devil."
"Alright..." Mittelt whispers.
"Forever more you shall-"
"Oh boy. Here comes the dramatic speech." I loudly scoff with an eye roll as I look to Mittelt. "She did the same thing with me... only to nearly break down into tears when she thought she couldn't reincarnate me."
Rias weakly slaps the back of my head. "Shush you."
"Dork." I roll my eyes.
"You take that back!" The red head demands.
"Nah." I hum.
"Fuck you!"
"Do it, coward. Fuck me!" I gesture to my body.
"One of these days." The girl quietly growls. "That mouth of yours is going to get you into trouble~"
"Is it? I've faced no consequences so far." I note.
"You will."
"Can you... just reincarnate me already?" The blonde sighs.
Rias pouts. "You shall be reincarnated as my knight. I will protect you and you shall protect me."
"Yada yada." I cut in.
"Yes, Verrti. Yada yada." Rias rolls her eyes.
She reaches forwards and slips the knight piece through Mittelt's shirt. She breathes a sigh of relief. "Oh good, you don't secretly have some sort of insane bloodline or secret bullshit power."
"Uhhh..." Mittelt mutters.
"Like I said, Rias nearly started crying after six normal pawns and her mutated one didn't work. She honestly got pretty lucky I was worth seven plus the mutie."
"Seven pawns... plus a mutation piece." The blonde repeats. "How?! Are you like... the reincarnation of a legendary hero with a Longinus?! A dragon comparable to the heavenly dragons?! Like... the child of a demigod or something?!"
"Eh. I unlocked an esoteric power similar to 'boost' and 'divide' that works on a sort of conceptual level."
"..."
"We're a couple episodes from finishing dragon ball." I cut in suddenly.
"Oh! and you get a bigger reward for one hundred percent, riiiight?" Rias grins.
"Yep." I Nod once.
"I hope you get a set of Potara! Then, honestly, we won't even need to worry about Riser at all!"
"You do realize that with a set of Z potara, you'd fuse with whoever you use it with forever, right? They don't even retcon that until dragon ball super."
"WOAH WOAH WOAH Back the FUCK up." Mittelt shouts. "First off. What the fuck are you talking about... second off, 'Dragon Ball Super'? Excuse me?"
"YOU WATCHED IT WITHOUT ME?!" Rias shouts.
"No?" I question. "I just have assorted memories of this stuff."
I look to the side, opening my system window.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" Mittelt shouts.
"Shame about Dragon Ball Daima... it's not out yet." I note.
"E-Excuse me?! There's ANOTHER new series?!" Rias gasps.
"Yep. Saw the trailer for it. Remember how in GT Goku got turned into a kid? Think that, but for literally every character in dragon ball. I hope it's good. Better than Gt, at least. I have good memories of Gt, but everyone says it's an utter abomination. I wonder how it'll hold up to an older me?"
"w-what even is that?!" Mittelt gasps while pointing at the screen.
"Hm? Oh. Don't worry about it. I have special eyes..."
"More like special eye."
"Rias. I am hurt and appalled." I deadpan while turning to face her. "What sort of monster do you have to be to make fun of me in this way... a disability that I couldn't help and suffer with each and every day."
"We both know you can replace it literally at any point with a Sharigan. Don't you dare try to guilt trip me, boy." Rias replies.
"I've never actually seen Naruto, actually." I admit.
"How?!" Rias gasps
"Eh, I got mad that it polluted most of the anime crossovers in that one fanfiction website I used to read, and I simply refused to out of spite."
"You... you haven't answered my questions." Mittelt whispers, clutching her head in her hands, sounding like she is questioning her existence as a whole.
"Oh, well, to explain it simply is I have an ability to gain more power when I complete something, and this-" I gesture to the screen. "Is either a synergizing secondary power I have, or that same power actualized, allowing me to peer into other universes entirely and absorb their potential media."
"..."
She stares at the floor, trying to comprehend the words that just fell out of my mouth. "Then- Then- wh-"
"Hold up, some freaky bird just landing on a branch outside the window." I cut in, holding up a hand to the side. "BAZINA ATTACKKKAAAA!"
A blue orb appears in my hand and shatters the window, crashing into the tree outside and exploding.
"Get lost, freak!" I shout out the window as the bird lets out a small squawk of surprise and quickly flies up and away.
"Fuckin weird ass looking parrot." I mutter under my breath.
"VERRTI MY FUCKING WINDOW!" Rias shouts.
"You're rich! Just buy another!"
"I liked that window! It was a family heirloom!"
"That's fucking sad!" I reply.
"Fuck you!" She shouts back.
"..."
"...'
"Heh... heheh." I begin to giggle.
"Pfft-" Rias snort and begins to laugh along.
"Ah..." She eventually sighs. "So... it looks like Riser is spying on us, hm? Did he hear anything?"
"I doubt it. He just showed up."
"Huh... alright." Rias shrugs.
"He's probably looking for an excuse to whine to his father about moving the marriage up."
"Damn that bastard." Rias hisses under her breath. "He totally would."
"If your father brings it up, you should remind him that you had until the end of college to train your peerage. But eventually relent and agree to have the rating game to decide it sooner."
"H-Huh?! Why?!"
"Because your father could totally just ignore your request and make it even sooner. If you already agree to do it sooner, you can point out how utterly childish Riser is being... and I don't know. Devil politic stuff. The Phenex family is treating the Gremory family as a joke. Yada yada."
"Hrm..." The girl hums.
"One year?"
"Too much. I'd go for like... a month maybe?"
"A month?!"
"Eh. Two." I shrug, lifting two fingers. "That should be more than enough time to finish all of the dragon ball series... and at that point? We're basically golden. Hell, we're probably already good with what we have now. It's just such a shame that most of this dragon ball shit is super expensive... like, ten thousand for basic Ki blast? I mean, sure, it does technically unlock Ki, but it doesn't give you dragon ball levels of strength."
"So, anyways, we could probably finish Z this weekend. Then let's move onto Gt and swoop back to Kai after that."
"Alright." Rias shrugs, a bright smile slowly forming on her face as her hands shake. "Then... super."
"Incorrect. Then movies... excluding the super movies... Then super."
"Huh..." I hum, looking over the screen in front of me.
It's been about a week since Mittelt has joined Rias' wonderful family of broken individuals.

It was given to me through a 'weighted gacha'.
Said weighted gacha is why I only got one reward for one hundred percent- besides the currency, at least- said gacha was seemingly tilted towards the high end.
A worthy gacha roll, if I do say so myself. From what I can see, it's not the Old kai's dance. more so Guru's power.
A bit of a shame because Riser would be a non-issue if I just gave Rias Mystic or something.
"oi." I look to my open door, spying the blonde fallen leaning on the doorframe.
"Yeees?"
"Rias wanted me to come nab you. It seems like this Riser dude did the thing."
"He did the thing? Damn. Accursed man. Doing the thing that I totally called." I roll my eyes as I stand up, walking over to her.
I place my hand on her shoulder then teleport us both across town.
We reappear with a shrill squeak in the middle of the club room.
I blink slowly and look around, eventually locking eyes with the white haired maid.
My eyes flick to Rias as I strut to a nearby couch and take a seat.
Rias is sat behind her desk, hands steepled in front of her face like she's a doctor about to tell me that 'it's terminal'. Or something. Akeno is stood just behind her.
Kokenko is sat across the room, eating an entire tub of icecream and Kiba is sharpening a sword.
Mittelt flops down beside me.
"Jeez. Who died?" I question before looking back towards the white haired maid.
"Also. Why the fuck is Sakuya Izayoi here?"
"..."
"Who?" Rias blinks, her serious face briefly faltering.
"Oh, y'know. Servent of the fate manipulating vampire Remilia scarlet... she throws knives and stops time?"
"..."
"THIS woman." I point to the Tv with a snap.
A chibi Sakuya appears upon it, doing a little dance.
I wave my hand, causing the screen to shift to a basic screen wallpaper of the woman in a badass pose.
Then I swipe my hand again, changing the image to a picture that is from what appears to be a very suspicious visual novel.
"Nothing?! Seriously?!" I ask.
I swipe again, changing the image to that of a hentai.
"Wait a minute..." I look to the screen. "That's not-
I swipe again, pulling up another clip.
I swipe again, pulling up an actually relevant image.
"HER!" I point at the screen.
"Wooooah." Rias gasps. "That anime looks sick!"
I rub my eyebrows with my index finger and thumb, letting out a long, tortured sigh.
I pull out my phone and quickly look something up.
"Oh. Touhou doesn't exist here. My bad. Sort of weird, honestly."
There's a flash of light as a sigil appears on the floor in the corner of the room.
I turn off the Tv as a figure appears with a flash of fire.
"It has been quite some time since Riser has appeared in the human realm..."
"Oh he totally does speak in third person, huh." I blink.
Riser Phenex...
Has arrived.
Fucking idiot will have no idea what's going to hit him.
My god I want this system so fucking bad.
If I had it, maybe I'd be able to complete some of my fics.
Anyways, I decided to transfer this to QQ as well because its interactions are fun.
