After dealing with two of Miror B's flunkies, Reath and Ferma, Wes and Rui stepped out of the building and turned to the left to see the cave and the man guarding it. Wes and Rui approached him and he scowled when he saw them again.
"Oh, I get it. You guys weren't new recruits, but just intruders, too?" The man asked.
"Yeah, and we'll be going in there! Move if you know what's good for you," Wes said.
"No way! Besides, that guy from earlier was too weak for words. How about you?" The man asked as he took out two of his Pokéballs. "Are you going to keep me amused?" He threw them. "Qwilfish, Goldeen! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and his Qwilfish and Goldeen emerged from inside. Wes took out two of his own and threw them.
"Espeon, Noctowl! Go!" Wes called out. Espeon and Noctowl both emerged from inside, ready to battle. Rui looked right at Qwilfish.
"Wes! The Shadow Pokémon is that Qwilfish!" Rui said.
"Gotcha," Wes said. "Espeon! Confusion on Qwilfish! Noctowl! Shadow Storm!" Espeon uses Confusion on Qwilfish, catching it in a psychic hold, slamming it down. Noctowl flapped its wings and unleashed a Shadow Storm, hitting the both of them. Goldeen has taken the heaviest damage since it wasn't a Shadow Pokémon.
"Qwilish! Use Shadow Wave! Goldeen Use Megahorn on Espeon.!" The man ordered. Qwilfish unleashed Shadow Wave right at Espeon and Noctowl, dealing damage on the both of them. Espeon has taken some heavy damage from Shadow Wave since he wasn't a Shadow Pokémon. Goldeen then jabs Espeon with Megahorn, dealing some heavy damage, due to his weakness to Bug-type moves.
"Noctowl! Use Fly!" Wes ordered. Noctowl flew up in the air. "Espeon! Use Psybeam on Qwilfish!" Espeon fired Psybeam at the Balloon Pokémon.
"Dodge it, Qwilfish!" The man ordered. Qwilfish dodged Espeon's Psybeam. "Use Shadow Wave again!" Qwilfish unleashed Shadow Wave once again.
"Espeon, dodge!" Wes called out. Espeon dodged just by jumping.
"Goldeen! Megahorn again!" The man ordered. Goldeen was about to jab Espeon with its horn again when Noctowl came down and lands a hit onto the Goldfish Pokémon, knocking it out. The man called his Goldeen back and he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Linoone!" His Pokéball opened and his Linoone emerged from inside. "Linoone! Use Hyper Beam!" Linoone fired Hyper Beam.
"Espeon! Use Confusion!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Confusion on Linoone's Hyper Beam and deflected it. It lands a hit onto Qwilfish. Wes took out a Pokéball, converting it into a Snag Ball. He threw it and Qwilfish flowed inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Qwilfish with him. He chose to send Qwilfish with the others.
"Aah! My Qwilfish!" The man exclaimed.
"Since using Hyper Beam, Linoone can't act right away! Wes, finish this battle now!" Rui said.
"You know it, Rui. Espeon! Finish Linoone off with Psybeam!" Wes ordered. Espeon fired Psybeam, hitting Linoone, knocking it out.
"Th-that was fun," the man said, laughing. He didn't even care that his Qwilfish was snagged from him. "Battling you was fun, so that's good enough for me. If you want to go through go right ahead."
With that said, Wes and Rui entered the cave, knowing Miror B was waiting for them. They explored the entrance of the cave, seeing if there some clues they could have when they came across a young woman in a performer's outfit.
"Yay! You're finally here! This floor is my territory! I can't let you through!" The young woman said in a challenging tone.
"We don't have time to deal with you, but if you get in our way, we'll take you down," Wes said.
"Not unless I take you down first," the young woman said, taking out her two Pokéballs and threw them. "Go! Anorith, Lotad!" Her Pokéballs opened and an Anorith and a Lotad emerged from inside. Wes took out his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Remoraid, Mantine! Go!" Wes called out. Mantine and Remoraid came out as they entered Reverse Mode. "Mantine, Remoraid! Focus!" Both Pokémon snapped out of their funk.
"Lotad! Use Ice Beam on Mantine! Anorith! Use X-Scissor on Remoraid!" The young woman ordered. Lotad fired Ice Beam as Anorith rushes at Remoraid.
"Dodge!" Wes called out. Mantine and Remoraid dodged their attacks. "Shadow Rush! Both of you!" Remoraid and Mantine rushed at Anorith and Lotad, dealing some heavy damage, knocking them both out.
"Oopsie! I lost!" The young woman said in a giddy tone. She chuckled. "You're a surprise! But I'm not telling you where Miror B's waiting."
"We're not above doing a little detective work," Wes said. When got downstairs to the next lower level, there was a young man and he gasped when he saw them.
"What's going on here? I heard there was one intruder, but they're obviously the two of you," the young man said.
"Didn't you hear that two heads are better than one?" Rui asked.
"We'll put that to the test right now!" The young man said, taking out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. "Ralts, Koffing! Go!" The Pokéballs opened as Ralts and Koffing emerged from inside, ready to battle. Wes took out two of his own and threw them.
"Espeon, Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon emerged from inside the Pokéballs, ready to battle.
"Ralts! Use Disarming Voice on Umbreon! Koffing! You use Smog on Espeon!" The young man ordered. Ralts unleashed Disarming Voice as Koffing spewed Smog from its mouth.
"Espeon! Use Confusion!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Confusion on the two attacks, stopping them completely. "Umbreon! Use Snarl!" Umbreon unleashed Snarl, cutting through the two attacks, dealing some damage on Ralts and Koffing. Ralts was knocked out from Umbreon's Snarl. The young man calls back his Ralts and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Shroomish! Go!" The Pokéball opened and his Shroomish emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Use Stun Spore!" Shroomish sprinkled Stun Spore on Espeon and Umbreon, paralyzing them both. But Shroomish ends up being paralyzed as well. "What the?! What the hell just happened?! How did my Shroomish get paralyzed?"
"It's their ability Synchronize. When a Pokémon is paralyzed, poisoned, or burned, the affected Pokémon passes the condition onto the opponent. He calls them both back and he threw his Pokéballs. "Noctowl, Togetic! Go!" His Pokéballs opened as Noctowl and Togetic emerged from inside. "Noctowl, Togetic! Fly!" Noctowl and Togetic flew up in the air and then started to come on down.
"Koffing! Gyro Ball! Shroomish! Headbutt!" The young man ordered. Koffing and Shroomish came at the Flying-type Pokémon, only to be taken down. Both Pokémon end up being knocked out. "Your Pokémon are too strong." He called them both back. "Raising your Pokémon to those levels must have been a hard struggle. You might be our enemy, but you have my respect."
"Thanks, I think," Wes said. Wes healed Espeon and Umbreon of their paralysis and injuries before he and Rui took their leave. Wes and Rui looked around the level of the cave and came across another set of stairs. "Isn't it strange that there could be stairs in a cave like this one?"
"Maybe, but we should look around this area before we go any further, just in case there's anyone with a Shadow Pokémon," Rui suggested.
"I agree. Let's have a look around," Wes said. He and Rui decided to explore a bit when they came across a rider.
"Hold it! Don't think you're going anywhere when you catch my eye!" The rider said, challenging Wes. He took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. "Meditite, Bagon! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and his two Pokémon came out to battle. Wes took out his own Pokéballs and threw them.
"Yanma, Remoraid! Go!" Wes called out. Yanma and Remoraid both emerged from inside, ready to battle. Rui looked directly at Meditite.
"Wes! The Shadow Pokémon is that Meditite!" Rui said.
"Okay," Wes said, acknowledging her.
"Meditite! Use Shadow Rave! Bagon! Use Headbutt!" The rider ordered.
"Dodge!" Wes called out. Yanma and Remoraid dodged Meditite's Shadow attack. "Remoraid! Use Shadow Rush on Bagon! Yanma! Use Quick Attack on Meditite!" Yanma dashed at Meditite, landing a hit as Remoraid gave Bagon a hit with Shadow Rush, dealing some heavy damage.
"Shadow Rave!" The rider ordered. Meditite gave Yanma and Remoraid a hit of Shadow Rave.
"Yanma! Shadow Blitz!" Wes ordered. Yanma lands a hit with Shadow Blitz, hitting Meditite. "Shadow Rush!" Remoraid gave Bagon another hit with Shadow Rush, knocking Bagon out. The rider calls his Bagon back and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Numel! Go!" The rider called out. His Numel emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Numel! Tackle on Remoraid!" Numel rushes at the Shadow Jet Pokémon.
"Shadow Rush!" Remoraid, lands a hit with Shadow Rush, dealing some heavy damage. "Yanma! Use Quick Attack on Meditite!" Yanma rushed at Meditite, landing a hit. Wes took out a Pokéball, converting it into a Snag Ball and threw it at Meditite. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Meditite with him. He chose to send Meditite to his ride. "Time to end this. Remoraid! Water Gun!" Remoraid fired Water Gun, hitting Numel, finishing the Numb Pokémon off. The rider growled as he called his Numel back.
"My Pokémon got shut down?!" The rider exclaimed. "My Pokémon have won a knockout challenge! You're no ordinary Trainer for beating them."
"Ordinary is overrated," Wes said.
They kept walking through the cave, searching for any Trainers who might have a Shadow Pokémon and for Miror B's hiding place. Hearing something, Rui stopped. She looked around, feeling afraid.
"Wes!" Rui said. Wes turned to Rui. He became concerned for her, seeing her so scared.
"What's wrong? Why do you look so scared?" Wes asked.
"I think there's something in here with us," Rui said.
"Something? It can't be a wild Pokémon since there aren't living out here, so what do you think it is?" Wes asked.
"I don't know. I could tell that it's not a Pokémon. It's something completely different. And there's appear to be more than one," Rui said. Before Wes could ask how many there were, several Shadows emerged from the ground, surrounding them.
"What the hell?!" Wes exclaimed. The Shadows lunged at them, and they tried to run from the Heartless, but they just kept on coming. "What are things?"
"I don't know! But there's a lot of them!" Rui said. Some of the Shadows came right at them, but suddenly, a flash of light surrounds Wes and he has holding two Keyblades in his hands.
One Keyblade is shaped like Espeon's tail which is curled at the end. The tip of the tail acts as the Keyblade's teeth. The hand guard is like a Pokéball. The token is Espeon's head with a white star. This Keyblade is the Colosseum of Light.
The other one shaped like Umbreon's tail which has a gold star at the end. The hand guard is shaped like a Pokéball. The token is Umbreon's head with a gold star. This is the Colosseum of Darkness.
Wes then swung them both, striking the Shadows down, much to his surprise.
"Huh? Are these keys? Where did they come from?" Wes asked in his thoughts.
"Use these two Keyblades to defend yourself and her. Use them to strike down the Shadows before they consume your heart and plunge you into darkness," a voice spoke.
"Who said that?!" Wes exclaimed.
"Wes!" Rui screamed as one Shadow was coming at her. Rui was frightened beyond belief. "Get away from me, you thing!"
"Get away from her!" Wes demanded. Wes slashed at it with the Colosseum of Light. Rui looked at Wes, seeing how he saved her again. Wes held the two Keyblades and he struck down the Shadows as they came out from the darkness until the last of the Shadows were slained. Wes ran up to her.
"Are you okay, Rui?" Wes asked. Rui wrapped her arms around Wes, surprising him. She then kissed him on the cheek repeatedly. Wes blushed even redder. Each kiss was closer to the lips. Wes said in his thoughts, "That answers that." Rui realized what she did and let's go of him.
"Sorry, Wes. I got caught in the moment," Rui said.
"I-I-It's okay, Rui," Wes said, still blushing. He didn't expect to be kissed on the cheeks. He liked how those kisses felt. He quickly shook it off as he picked up the Keyblades and held them. "Any idea what these are?"
"To be honest, I don't have a clue. Those monsters showing up was one thing, but two keys suddenly appearing out of the blue took me by surprise," Rui said.
"Yeah. And whoever that was, it sounded like he knew what was up," Wes said.
"You mean that voice that spoke a minute ago? That was just as weird," Rui said.
"You heard it, too?" Wes asked. Rui nodded. "The voice called them Keyblades. I mean, they're keys, but I held them like swords," Wes said.
"You kinda surprised me since I didn't think of you as the sword fighting type," Rui said.
"I surprised myself, too. I never held a sword in my life," Wes said.
"But you were really brave, Wes," Rui said.
"Does that add up to the gallant prince image you have of me?" Wes asked. Rui blushed at the memory.
"It does," Rui said. Wes blushed as well.
"Well, thanks," Wes said. "But how do you think I'll hide these keys?" Wes asked as the Keyblades just vanished.
"In order for you to use your Keyblades, you must summon them and they will answer you since you are their master," the voice said.
"Well, that sums it up," Wes said.
With the matter of the Keyblades settled, Wes and Rui continued on with their mission to find Miror B's lair. As they looked around, they came across a hunter. He approached Wes and Rui.
"If I drop you here, Miror B's sure to give me a reward!" The hunter said, taking out of his Pokéballs and threw them. "Whismur, Lotad! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and a Whismur and a Lotad emerged from inside. Wes took out two of his own Pokéballs and threw them.
"Espeon! Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out as Espeon and Umbreon both came out to battle.
"Whismur! Use Disarming Voice! Lotad! Use Razor Leaf!" The hunter ordered. Whismur and Lotad unleashed their attacks at the two Pokémon.
"Psybeam and Snarl!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon unleashed their two attacks, cutting through Hyper Voice and Razor Leaf and struck their opponents. "Umbreon! Use Feint Attack on Lotad! Espeon! Use Return on Whismur!" Espeon ran towards Whismur and lands a hit, dealing some heavy damage as Umbreon vanished and reappeared, landing a hit on Lotad, resulting in a knockout. The hunter calls his Lotad back and he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up next, Slakoth!" The hunter called out. His Slakoth came out, ready to battle. "Slakoth! Use Blizzard!" Slakoth blew a blizzard right at Espeon and Umbreon.
"Confusion!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Confusion to deflect Slakoth's Blizzard and sent it right at Whismur, knocking it out. "Umbreon! Use Bite!" Umbreon came at Slakoth and lands a bite on the sloth-like Pokémon, knocking it out.
"No! I'll be punished for this; never mind getting a reward!" The hunter exclaimed. He called his Slakoth back and he chuckled nervously. "I'll pretend I never saw you two. Consider yourselves lucky." Wes and Rui left the hunter after calling back Espeon and Umbreon. They came across another set of stairs and went down on them. Wes took out his Pokémon Box and he exchanged the Shadow Pokémon he had for Meditite, Makuhita, Croconaw, and Misdreavus. They saw that there was an undergound river and a bridge. On the bridge is a woman wearing a red bodysuit and a purple hat. She spotted Wes and Rui and stopped them from getting across. She chuckled.
"Welcome to here!" The young woman said She took out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. "Dunsparce, Mareep! Go!" Her Pokéballs opened and a Dunsparce and Mareep emerged from inside. Wes took out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Croconaw, Makuhita! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and they were ready to battle. Rui looked right at Dunsparce.
"Wes, the Shadow Pokémon is that Dunsparce!" Rui said.
"Gotcha," Wes said. "Croconaw! Use Aqua Tail on Dunsparce! Makuhita! Shadow Rush on Mareep!" Croconaw's tail emits water and swings it at the Land Snake Pokémon as Makuhita came at Mareep with a Shadow Rush, landing some heavy damage.
"Dunsparce! Shadow Rush on Makuhita! Mareep! Electro Ball on Croconaw!" The young woman ordered. Mareep forms a ball of electricity as Dunsparce rushes at Makuhita.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Croconaw and Makuhita dodged their assault. "Makuhita! Arm Thrust on Dusnparce!" Makuhita gave Arm Thrust to Dunsparce five times. "Shadow Blitz on Mareep!" Croconaw came at Mareep, landing a hit onto Mareep, knocking the Wool Pokémon out. She called back her Mareep and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Cacnea!" The young woman shouted. Her Pokéball opened and her Cacnea came out to battle. "Needle Arm on Croconaw!" Cacnea rushed at Croconaw with a Needle Arm.
"Shadow Rush!" Wes ordered. Croconaw and Makuhita used Shadow Rush on their opponents, hitting them both. Wes took out a Pokéball, converting it into a Snag Ball and threw it. Dunsparce flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Dunsparce with him. He chose to send Dunsparce to his ride. Cacnea tried to get back up, but fell back down.
"Oh, Sosh doesn't know what to do!" The young woman exclaimed, speaking in third person and calling back her Cacnea. "No way, no way! I'm supposed to beat someone as strong as you? They must be joking!"
Wes and Rui took their leave and headed for the stairs. They met a handful of Trainers and he battled them and beaten them. Wes has been changing up the Shadow Pokémon, getting them closer to opening the doors to their hearts. Wes now had his team consist of Espeon, Umbreon, Flaaffy, Quilava, Qwilfish, and Skiploom. The next Trainer they came across was a hunter.
"Hey!" Wes called out to him. The hunter saw Wes and Rui.
"It's you! Good of you to come, because I need to score points with Miror B, so I can get a promotion!" The hunter said.
"You're gonna have to defeat me in battle if you want that promotion," Wes said.
"I intend to," the hunter said, taking out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Swablu and Lotad!" The hunter shouted. Wes took out two of his own Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Quilava and Qwilfish!" Wes called out. Rui looked directly at Swablu.
"The Shadow Pokémon is Swablu!" Rui said.
"My target's Swablu," Wes said. "Quilava! Use Flame Wheel on Swablu! Qwilfish! Use Poison Sting on Lotad!" Quilava rolled into a ball of fire and plowed right into Swablu, dealing some damage as Qwilfish fired Poison Sting at Lotad, hitting it and poisoning it.
"Swablu! Use Shadow Rave! Lotad! Use Ice Beam!" The hunter ordered. Swablu unleashed Shadow Rave and struck both Quilava and Qwilfish. Lotad fired Ice Beam, hitting Quilava. Lotad's poisoning given Lotad little damage.
"Qwilfish! Poison Sting again!" Wes ordered. Qwilfish fired Poison Sting, hitting Lotad again, knocking it out. The hunter called his Lotad back and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Beldum! Go!" The hunter called out. His Beldum came out, ready to battle. "Qwilfish's Poison Sting will have zero effect on Beldum's metallic body!"
"Yeah, but here's one thing you overlooked," Wes said.
"Yeah? What?" The hunter asked.
"This. Flame Wheel on Beldum!" Wes ordered. Quilava rolled into a ball of fire again and plowed into Beldum, knocking it out.
"Crap! I forgot that Steel-type Pokémon are weak against Fire-types!" The hunter exclaimed, calling back Beldum. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Lombre! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Lombre emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Lombre! Use Ice Punch on Quilava!"
"Qwilfish! Poison Sting on Lombre!" Wes ordered. Qwilfish fired Poison Sting, hitting Lombre.
"Swablu! Shadow Rave!" The hunter ordered. Swablu unleashed a Shadow Rave, hitting the opposing Shadow Pokémon.
"Quilava! Flame Wheel on Swablu!" Wes ordered. Quilava plowed right into Swablu with a Flame Wheel, dealing some damage. "Qwilfish! Use Surf!" Qwilfish unleashed a Surf, washing Lombre and Swablu in it. Wes took out a Pokéball, converting it into a Snag Ball and threw it. Swablu flows inside the Pokéball. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Swablu with him. He chose to keep Swablu with him in exchange for Flaaffy.
"No! My bright future!" The hunter exclaimed. "You ruined my hopes of a bright future." He sobs.
Wes and Rui did some exploring to see if there was some other clues to Miror B. They found some more Trainers to battle and so Wes has used the Swablu he had snagged from his previous opponent and managed to open the door to its heart, little by little. They went down a set of stairs and they came across a door and they hear disco-like music playing. They knew they found Miror B's lair.
Upon entering, they found Miror B dancing in the center with four Ludicolo dancing with him. He had two males and two females. He stopped dancing when he saw Wes and Rui.
"Yeah, woot! It's about time, darlings! I'm so frightfully tired of waiting for you. Stop the music!" Miror B shouted. The music has ceased.
"I guess it doesn't take a detective to figure out this would be where you would hide," Wes said.
"Oh, you kept me waiting for so long, I decided to work up a little perspiration!" Miror B said as he chuckled. "But, my, you have been busy being naughty and messing up our plans. It was oh-so-close for everything to turn out just right, just the way we hoped. But I can salvage our plan by beating you, little man. And so… There's time for one last frantic dance before the grand finale! Let the music play!" Miror shouted as the music plays again. He dances again.
"You gotta be kidding! You dance while you battle?" Wes asked.
"Dancing's the way of life, my little square! Ludicolo! Would be good little lambs and assit me?" Miror B asked as his Ludicolo got in front of Miror B.
"Send out as many Ludicolo as you want! My dream team can beat them in their sleep!" Wes said, taking out his Pokéballs and threw them. "Espeon, Umbreon! Go!" His partners came out, ready to battle.
"Ludicolo! Rain Dance!" Miror B ordered. The Ludicolo danced as they form rain clouds and it began to rain.
"Espeon! Psybeam! Umbreon! Snarl!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon unleashed their attacks.
"Dodge!" Miror B shouted. Two Ludicolo dodged incredibly fast as two have taken some damage since they didn't dodge in time. But the injuries they've sustained have vanished thanks to the rain.
"What's going on?" Rui asked.
"Two of the Ludicolo have Swift Swim as an ability while two has Rain Dish. Swift Swim can make Water-type Pokémon with this ability move faster than they would normally move while Rain Dish heals the Pokémon during the rain," Wes said.
"Oh, aren't you a smart cookie. But you're going to break just like one. Two of you use Water Gun, while one uses Ice Beam, and one uses Bubble Beam!" Miror B ordered. The Ludicolo unleashed their attacks at their opponents.
"Espeon! Use Confusion!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Confusion to block their attacks and sent them back at their owners. The ones with Swift Swim grabbed the ones with Rain Dish and jumped.
"Nice save, my dumplings, but you know what's next!" Miror B said. The Ludicolo all attacked with the same moves.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon dodged the Ludicolo's attacks. "Try combining Psybeam and Snarl! Now!" Espeon and Umbreon unleashed, Psybeam and Snarl, combining with each other. The Ludicolo were all struck with the combo attack, knocking them all out. The rain has ceased. Miror B just chuckled.
"You think you've won, but I'm just getting started. And this little darlin' will make you see why that is," Miror B said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Sudowoodo! Take the dance floor!" His Pokéball opened and Sudowoodo has emerged from inside. Rui looked at Sudowoodo.
"So you have a Shadow Pokémon, too, huh?" Rui asked.
"That's right. As a proud member of Team Shadow, it's mandatory for us Admins to have a Shadow Pokémon under our belts. And this Shadow Pokémon is a tad special. Allow me to give you a proper demo. Sudowoodo! Shadow Sky!" Sudowoodo unleashed a dark purple cloud and it began to rain down particles of dark light. Espeon and Umbreon were getting hurt in it.
"Espeon and Umbreon are getting hurt from that," Wes said, gritting his teeth. "Explain this, Miror B!"
"What you're seeing is what we call Shadow Sky. How this beautiful Shadow move works is that it brings down dark light particles like it was the Ice-type move, Hail, and it hurts all the Pokémon in it. Shadow Pokémon are the only ones who are immune to Shadow Sky's effects. But that's not all my Sudowoodo can do. Sudowoodo! Shadow Break!" Sudowoodo rushes at Espeon and gave him some serious damage. "How do you like that?" Wes grits his teeth.
"This guy might be tacky, but he's no pushover. And he's not the only one who's got Shadow Pokémon under his belt, so I'll have to make good use of them, too," Wes said in his thoughts. He called Espeon and Umbreon back, not wanting to risk them being beaten. He took out two Pokéballs and threw them. He called out "Skiploom, Qwilfish! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and Skiploom and Qwilfish both came out at the same time. "Since my Espeon and Umbreon aren't Shadow Pokémon, I thought I'd send out two Shadow Pokémon that I snagged along the way."
"Oh, you found a way around my Shadow Sky! That's a big no-no! I'm going to make you regret being so smart! Sudowoodo! Shadow Break!" Miror B ordered. Sudowoodo rushes at its opponents.
"Qwilfish! Use Surf! Skiploom! Bullet Seed!" Wes ordered. Skiploom jumped up and fired Bullet Seed as Qwilfish unleashed Surf. Both attacks struck the Imitation Pokémon on the mark. Seeing how much damage it did, Wes took out a Great Ball, converting it into a Snag Ball. He threw the Great Ball, making it flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Sudowoodo with him. He chose to send Sudowoodo over to his ride.
"I can't keep up with the tempo! Oh, no, no, what a no-no!" Miror exclaimed at the fact that he lost and he had his Sudowoodo snagged from him. He growled with anger. "How, how, how dare you! Don't you dare think you'll get away with your latest outrage! One of these days, I will take great pleasure in kicking you about with my elegant dance steps! Oh, and I'm not giving up our Shadow Pokémon plan! Let's go! Escape!" Miror B and his Ludicolo ran out the exit. Before Wes and Rui could go after him, they hear faint cries coming close by.
"Wes! Did you hear those cries? It must be Plusle!" Rui said.
"Where is it?" Wes asked.
"I think those cries came behind that door!" Rui said, pointing to the door at the opposite end.
Wes and Rui walked over to the other door and opened it. There, they saw a Plusle standing all alone. They found another file and it was labeled as "Purification of Pokémon". Wes opened it up and reads its contents.
Shadow Pokémon are fighting machines created by closing the door to their hearts. Giving in to their hatred and rage, fueling the darkness in their hearts.
The process of restoring a Shadow Pokémon back to its original state is known as purification. Exactly how a Shadow Pokémon is purified is unclear, but there appear to be several causes.
We must eliminate reaction to these factors, and create Shadow Pokémon that will never revert back to their original, purified forms.
"Hatred and rage?" Rui asked.
"Purification?" Wes
"Plusle, Plusle!" Plusle said.
"Wes, Plusle!" A familiar voice shouted. Duking and Silva ran in and saw Plusle is alright and not converted into a Shadow Pokémon. "Wes, you're safe! Oh! And Plusle!"
"Plusle, Plusle, Plusle!" Plusle ran into Duking's arms and he smiled. Rui was glad to see them reunited with each other.
"Miror B got away, but things will be back to normal here," Rui said.
"Duking... I don't know what to say..." Silva paused. Duking turned to Silva.
"Forget it, Silva. We're all unharmed. That's good enough. Even that Miror B's been driven out, thanks to Wes," Duking said. Plusle turned to Wes and Rui.
"Plus," Plusle said. Duking looked at Plusle.
"Hm, what's that, Plusle? Feeling hungry out of relief?" Duking asked as he laughed. He looked at Wes and Rui. "Okay, Wes! Let's quit this moldy cavern, and quick!"
"Right," Wes agreed.
With that said, they left the cavern and returned to Duking's house. Silva and Marcia.
"Wes. We owe you a great deal. Sincerely, thank you," Duking.
"You don't need to thank us, Duking. We only did what we thought was right," Wes said.
"All the same, if you were even a bit later, Plusle could have been made a Shadow Pokémon. That's horrible," Duking said.
"I'm glad everything's fine, papa! And Plusle, too!" Marcia said. Plusle then jumped on Duking's desk.
"Plusle, Plusle, Plusle, Plusle, Plusle, Plusle!" Plusle said. Duking looked right at the Cheering Pokémon.
"What's the matter, Plusle?" Duking asked. He quickly picked up on what Plusle was saying. "Oh? You want to..." Plusle nodded. Duking sighed. "Okay. I understand."
"What was that about?" Wes asked.
"Wes. Could you take my Plusle with you?" Duking asked. Wes was caught off guard by what Duking asked him to do.
"What?" Wes asked.
"Plusle is saying he wants to help you, too," Duking said.
"Plusle, Plulse!" Plusle said, jumping up and down.
"Yes. Yes, that's right. You can't let those criminals get away with it," Duking said. Rui took Wes by the arm.
"That's amazing! We've got a cute and brave addition to our party!" Rui said, giggling. Marcia giggled to herself by how Rui was holding Wes by the arm.
"Yeah, cute and brave," Wes said.
"Wes, I'm counting on you," Duking said.
With that said, Plusle has joined Wes and Rui in their mission against the Shadow Pokémon and the ones called Team Shadow.
"Miror B mentioned that he's an Admin of Team Shadow, so any idea on who they are?" Wes asked.
"No, but I do intend to investigate this organization if they're behind Miror B. As soon as I discover anything, I will be in touch..." Duking said. "Which, reminds me. Wes, I need your PStarDA number." Wes gave Duking his PStarDA number. "Perfect. I will be in touch as soon as we discover anything."
Wes and Rui were about to leave Pyrite Town when an old woman with pink hair stood outside. Wes and Rui turned to her.
"Ahhhh... I might be imagining it, but the town's air feels somewhat less dirty. But not all is well. I can feel the presence of black auras coming from Shadow Pokémon. The black aura is the very darkness itself," the old woman said.
"Wow! Fateen, nothing escapes your notice," Rui said.
"There is but nothing that eludes the notice of my fortune-telling," Fateen laughed. "The key to freeing Pokémon from that darkness... It is in the north," Fateen said. Rui knew what she meant.
"Up north... That's where my grandpa lives," Rui said. She gasped when she realized something. "Oh, no! I forgot! I was on my way to visit grandpa!"
"Your grandpa?" Wes asked.
"Yes. He lives in Agate Village. That's north of here," Rui said.
"That being north may be no more coincidence. Your answer may be there," Fateen said.
"Oh! My grandpa was a famous Pokémon Trainer when he was young. Maybe my grandpa would know something. Let's go see him, Wes," Rui said.
"Okay," Wes nodded.
"But wait, there is more. It is my understanding that you have come across shadow creatures. Creatures that are not Pokémon, but they were born from the darkness," Fateen said.
"You know about tha-" Wes paused when he remembered that nothing got past the fortune teller. "What do you know about them?"
"The creatures you have come across are known as the Heartless. They are creatures born from darkness, but they are attracted to the darkness from hearts. Hearts from humans, Pokémon, and every other creature across this world and countless others. If one were to give in to the darkness in their hearts, then they would transform into a Heartless. They would lose the ability to think and feel as the only instinct is to attack anything that it comes across like a mindless beast. But you have acquired the only thing that they fear. The power of the Keyblade," Fateen said.
"Yeah, I did," Wes said, summoning his two Keyblades. "What's so special about them?"
"They are the keys into slaying the Heartless. The Keyblades you hold are tools for light, but you have darkness by your side as well. Light and darkness are two halves of the same coin, and you have been chosen to maintain the balance between light and darkness, and strike down any who would upset that balance. If unchecked, the darkness will spread like a plague. Now, go. To Agate Village, and do not allow the darkness to outweigh the light," Fateen said. Wes and Rui heads for Wes's vehicle and headed for Agate Village.
Now that Wes and Rui have learned about purification and stopped Miror B and foiled his plans in Pyrite Town, but who knows what other nasty plans does Team Shadow have in store? Stay tuned of you wanna find out.
