AN: Hello there! Here comes a soft, very small chapter cause I feel like we all needed a break from the chaos that has been Skye's life in my story. Also, you have my beta MegaDiary123 to blame for the title. I sent it as a joke and was not allowed to change it after ^^' A brief note on the updating schedule on the end, but either way, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

Skye's POV

I followed Clint and Natasha in their off-the-radar house. It was very spacious, at least on that floor, but there were still boxes everywhere, even though the kitchen was done and there was a sofa placed where the living room would be.

Clint was very descriptive, as he went through every room, describing what it would be and what the plans were. Nat was still holding his hand, looking around and not saying anything, but I could see from her expression that she was just so happy with all of this. She deserved the world, and I was just very glad that she got to have this with him.

I felt Jemma take my hand, as we were moving upstairs were he was going to show us the different rooms, some of them still not quite finished. I let my fingers thread with hers, and caught a glimpse of May trying to stifle a smile as she was following us on the back, never making eye-contact with me.

"So, here we have our room", Clint's voice brought me back as he went into the master bedroom. A double bed was on one side, classic white-painted blinds were holding some of the sunlight from entering the room, and a closet on the other side. "I know it's not like Tony's rooms but—"

His sentence was cut short with Nat kissing him. She pulled away and her eyes were sparkling. "it's perfect" she whispered, and pecked his lips once more.

I looked around, pretending not to have seen what just happened, my eyes first caught May who was not even feigning ignorance like I was. Then I noticed Jemma, who was staring at the floor, her face red as a beet. Without looking up, she half-heartedly smacked my shoulder when she felt me silently giggling next to her. "Shut up", she said under her breath, which made me laugh even more.

"Now, Skye, why don't you show Jemma your room?" Clint spoke, and I stopped immediately. I turned around sharply, and saw him hug Natasha, with a smug look on his face, and a playful glint in his eye.

"Yes, Skye, why don't you? I would love to see it as well?" Natasha did not help at all.

"I-I… ah", I cleared my throat, and knew that the blood was starting to get in my head and my face would soon look like Jemma's did only seconds ago. Not knowing what to say, I just lifted one hand, and just pointed outside of the door, doing a one-eighty, turning around and marching off. Two doors down the corridor and to the left, I pushed the door open, and walked in, still with Jemma's hand in mind.

It was a similarly simple room, slightly smaller than that of Clint's and Nat's. A double bed was placed in one corner, an almost empty wardrobe on the opposite wall, and two large windows allowing some light in. On the desk there was already some of my equipment, but also a few picture frames.

I let Jemma walk in first to take in the room, and her attention was quickly drawn on the aforementioned frames. "Well, I thought, since we're still fixing some of the rooms and we don't have that much space, maybe you wanted to sleep here?" I managed to get out. I saw as she lifted the very old photo we had taken together back during our years at the Academy, not really saying anything. "It's okay if you don't I can just go and bunk in with May", I quickly added my nerves getting the better of me.

"No, you won't" I turned around and saw all three of them, still waiting outside, with May shaking her head. "I won't have you kicking me, I need my sleep" she deadpanned, though clearly trying to hide a smile.

I stared at her, clearly silently telling her, "Seriously? You're supposed to help out"

"Am I?", she silently said back raising an eyebrow.

I cleared my throat and turned around. "Well, that's still okay. I can sleep on the couch, it's more comfortable than it seems, let me tell you. I wouldn't have Clint get just anything", I moved towards the blinds and pulling them all the way down. I could see Jemma look at me in question, but I just moved closer to the second pair of light switches in the room. "Plus", I said and could feel how my voice was shaking. "You kinda have to stay here, wouldn't make much sense if you didn't", and with that I flipped it on.

I heard a small gasp leave Jemma as she looked at the ceiling. In the walls, I had made a small circuit of tiny lights, arranging them in a specific way to look like the stars at the night sky. I was looking up at them, as they showered a gentle warm light into the room. "When we have the other room ready, you can still have this as yours and I can make another one for me, I'm sure we have space. Just thought you'd like to see the—"

"Theta Serpentis", she caught me off, and as I looked down at her for the first time since turning the lights on, I saw as her eyes traced the connecting lines and the stars on the ceiling. "I don't even remember when I mentioned it…", she seemed to almost speak to herself.

"At the Academy" I supplied for her. "We were stargazing and I asked you what your favourite constellation was"

"I told you it was Alya, but the skies were not dark enough to see it from the Academy grounds, that I hadn't seen it in years", she looked down once more. "And you remembered?"

"Well… of course", I said as if it was obvious. A second later she was by my side and her lips had crashed onto mine. I felt time stop, suspended in this moment. I didn't know when I closed my eyes, but I felt myself open them again when she pulled back.

"Of course and I'll stay here with you, silly" she said, her forehead touching mine.

"Yeah?" I asked, looking into her hazel orbs.

"Yeah" she replied softly.

The moment didn't last for more than 3 seconds before, "Get a room you two!", Clint said.

I lifted my hand and sent a small quake at him but he was expecting it and I could hear him running down the stairs. May and Natasha nowhere to be seen. Normally I would chase him and he wouldn't get away so easily. But… he was lucky for two reasons.

One: If I run, I was sure people would fuzz about me.

And two: I was very comfortable right where I was.

AN.2: First, I promised soft and I delivered on soft! Also, I have an issue with my arm that has resurfaced due to the amount of work I do on a weekly basis. While I manage to have a couple of breaks throughout the week, I am currently in a position that leads my to completely rest ot during those days. Unfortunately this makes typing a bit difficult and, at times, frustrating. So, anyhow, I will keep posting but will need more time between updates to get the chapters ready. Just wanted to let you guys know :)

As always, thank you for the immense support! Until next time~
