This chapter was going to be a special one because I had gotten permission from Fanfiction writer Crazysnakelover to do a crossover with her Organization XIII world and OC's. I never finished it, but she gave me permission to post what I had written.

Chapter 48
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
Calixa Number sixteen of the organization slammed her fist onto the snooze button, making the blaring sound instantly turn off. She started to doze off again, that is until it started again. BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEE- this time she reached over, turned it off, and sat up rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Why did mornings have to be so horrible?
With a final stretch, the girl jumped out of bed, and went to her bathroom to shower. She usually took anywhere from a half hour to forty-five minutes to shower. It took awhile to wash her thick carrot red hair. After showering she took another hour and a half to apply lotion to her body, style her hair and put cover up on. She hated ache, and did everything possible to make it seem like she didn't have it. Neox thought she was crazy that she took so much time to get ready in the morning, and it didn't help that his new girlfriend Xacrrie didn't go to such lengths in the morning.
A scowl formed on her face, as her thoughts turned to the organization's new member. The younger sister of her worse enemy Bàlicoxom, she was currently dating her best friend. If you even call it dating, all they did was walk around holding hands, and every once in awhile they'd give each other a peck on the lips. Nothing compared to what she'd seen Bàli and Xero do.
Those flipping pipe blowers had ruined her life lately. Xacrrie and her sister was practically inseparable, which meant she had to hang around with not just one horribly accented person, but two; Bàli being one of them, which made it all the more worse. Neox and she always had tons of fun pulling pranks and getting to trouble. But ever since he became friends with the new girl, Neox never wanted to pull that sort of stuff anymore. Xacrrie always said that they'd get in trouble and we shouldn't do it. And of course Neox always sided with her.
Though she'd never admit it, Calixa was sad. She felt as if she'd lost her best friend. She sighed as she stared at herself in the mirror, a tear trickled down her cheek. She had lost her best friend… but not for long. For weeks she had been devising a plan to get him back. The young girl exited the bathroom, and went to her closet.
She threw a glance over her shoulder before pulling out a brand new audio recording translator. Bàli and her sister were always having conversations in Gaelic. Neox and she always wondered what they were saying, but Neox felt this is was an invasion of privacy to ask what they were talking about. Calixa on the other hand has suspicions, they were probably talking smack about her and Neox right to there faces. This was why she saved up her munny to buy this; she was going to show Neox just exactly what his girlfriend was saying about them. She could already imagine it; they hear Xacrrie saying something horrible about Neox, then Neox dumping her. It was the perfect dream.
KHKHKH
"I don't know Cali?" Neox said uncertainly, when she presented the idea to him, and showed him the translator, "It's kinda an invasion of privacy. My girlfriends privacy."
"There's got to be a reason they talk in there first language so often, English is easy enough. It has to be something secret that they don't want anyone to know about," Calixa insisted.
"Yeah, and none of our business."
"Ok lets do it once, and I'll show you that they have something diabolical up there sleeves."
"Fine, but just once," Neox reluctantly agreed. "And if we find that it's nothing but idle girly chat then you drop this and never bring it up again."
"Deal," the red head agreed and they took position inside a closet. Calixa set up the translator to record, and soon they heard the foreign language from down the hallway approaching them.
"É nese momento que persistiu co plan," Bàli was saying very fast in Gaelic.
"Entón o que pasou?" Xacrrie asked.
"Non deu resultado, case non a misión, pero Xero creou unha tormenta de area que nos salvou. Eu probablemente podería comezar a traballar, pero eu estou no meu período." Bàli replied.
Whatever she said made her sister laugh, "Fóronlle PMSing?"
That was all they could get before they were out of hearing range. But it was enough, Calixa turned off the translator," Now we just rewind it, and have it play back in English. Neox just sighed and watched the red head hit a few buttons then the tape started playing back the conversation in English. "That is when we persisted with the plan." Calixa smiled evilly. She had struck gold.
"So what happened?"
"It did not work, hardly the mission, but Xero created a sand storm that saved us. I could probably get to work, but I'm on my period."
"Xacrrie's laugh, Were you PMSing?"
Neox glared at her, making the girl smile nervously, "Ha, ha I guess we got the wrong conversation."
"Or we got the right conversation, now I feel like a jackass by not trusting my girlfriend."
"Let's just try one more time-"
"No!" Neox ordered firmly, and snatched the machine from Calixa's hands. "Give it up Cali. You're just grasping at straws to find something wrong with Xac because you're jealous that I have a girlfriend, and there's no one for you," the boy accused coldly his anger clouding his common sense.
Calixa's eyes darkened with hurt and anger. "I am not; you think I want to look so dumb by walking around hand in hand with something?" Now Neox was staring at her hurt. "Give me my machine!" the red head ordered snatching it back and stomping away. She wasn't going to give up. She was going to keep trying recording there conversations until she heard them say something bad about Neox. Then she would show him, and he'd be begging for forgiveness.
KHKHKHKHKH
Later on that day, Neox was sitting with his girlfriend Xacrrie in the grey area. Both were staring at Bàli and Xero who were in a lip lock. "Ar' we suppose tae do 'at?" Xacrrie whispered to Neox.
"I don't know. It seems to be what girlfriends and boyfriends do. But what's so fun about biting each others faces?"
"Shoods we try it?" Xacrrie asked unsurely.
Neox gulped, looking back at the older couple. "Um… I don't think we have to. No one ever said that there's rules for being girlfriend and boyfriend."
"Then why don we wait," Xacrrie said.
The boy sighed with relief, "Yeah, at least until we're ready." A comfortable silence fell between them, but Xacrrie noticed that Neox looked somewhat downcast. "Ye ok?" she asked him.
"I kinda got really mad at Cali today. And I said some really mean thing to her,
the boy replied sadly.
"Why don ye go fine 'er and say sorra?"
Neox perked up, "I think I well, be right back," he stood up and walked out of the room.
KHKHKHKHKH
Calixa was sitting in her room listening over another conversation with the two Scottish sisters. She was lying on her bed, with the machine sitting on her belly as it played back what they said in bad translated English. Most of it was boring girly talk, about flowers, and there relationships with there boyfriends. Sometime's they'd talk about there missions, or what they did on there day off. It seemed to be all everyday conversation. She couldn't understand why they always spoke in Gaelic, when English was perfectly easy. Wasn't it?
Then something caught her attention. "Coli we should no talk about here," that was Xacrrie's voice.
"Don't worry, no can understand us," Bàli's voice replied.
She finally got something. Calixa sat up and perked up her hears ready to get the goods. "I remember hiding under bed that day. I was able to hear your screams all the way from the barn," Xacrrie said somberly.
"I only vaguely remember world dimming. The last thing saw before waking up, was two yellow eyes staring me."
"…Was dad always like that?" Xacrrie's voce sounded low and pained. "I remember only him drunk and beating with a belt."
"No… there was a time he was happy. Just never coped moms death."
"I guess the heartless saved our lives."
"No… we were already dead. Dad killed us both-"
Calixa stopped the tape. Her insides felt like they had turned to ice, as the horrible realization came over her. This was a conversation she was not supposed to hear. She wished she hadn't heard it. It must have been a lie, they weren't abused in there other lives. Its impossible! But he couldn't help but think about when Bàli came for the first time. Axel and Roxas refused to give details on the mission. Did they know? Did Neox know? Anger welled inside Calixa's being, just from the fact that she was feeling sorry for them. She couldn't feel sorry for those pipe blowers! She wouldn't!
There was suddenly a knock on the door. "Cali?" Neox's voice called through the closed door.
"GO AWAY NEOX!" the carrot head screamed at him, she couldn't handle this right now.
"Cali… I wanted to say I'm sorry, please open the door."
"J…J-Just… Just… Just GO AWAY!" A million different emotions all welled inside Calixa, trying to burst from her soul. She trembled, angry tears leaking from her eyes. She picked up the translator and flung it at the window as hard as she could.
In one split second, the machine hit the window and Calixa's entire world seemed to shatter right before her eyes. She stared in amazement, as the little pieces of her bedroom all broke into little tiny pieces and flew away like scraps of paper. Then everyone went black, she couldn't feel anything. She couldn't see anything. Then she suddenly felt very cold, and very well. The floor underneath her felt very hard and rough.
Calixa slowly opened her eyes. She was lying face down on ice cold concrete, soaking wet in the pouring rain. She was no longer in the organization uniform, but wearing blue jeans, a navy shirt and thin jacket. Very slowly, she pushed herself up into a sitting position and looked around in confusion. She was only vaguely aware of the fact that she had been lying in the dirty ground, but didn't care at the moment. What happened? Where was she?
Looking around for a bit answered that question. She was in the world that never was, over by memory skyscraper. How did she get out here, and why wasn't she wearing her organization uniform? "State your business," a cold voice suddenly cut through the silence.
Calixa looked to her right, and flinched as there was a razor sharp spear mere inches from her face. Xaldin was towering over her, pointing one of his lances at her. "I said state your business," he repeated. The red head opened her mouth, but no words came out. Why couldn't she say anything? She tired forcing some sound out, but just couldn't. Did something happen to her voice?
Zexion suddenly came walking up next to Xaldin. Good he would stop Xaldin from slicing her to pieces, the lancer must have gone crazy or something. "She must be a Nobody, there's no other way she could get here," he commented to Xaldin.
Calixa's mouth dropped open in shock. Why did neither of them recognize her? She had lived with the organization for months. She opened her mouth intending to say, "What the hell, don't you guys recognize me?" but once again her voice failed to work.
"Why isn't she speaking?" Zexion asked Xaldin. "Is she hurt?"
"I am not sure," Xaldin replied, and then directed his voice to Calixa. "Can you stand?"
Calixa slowly pushed herself up into a standing position. But she barely looked up into Xaldin's emotionless face, before the lights turns out.
KHKHKHKHKHKH
When Calixa came too, she was lying on a very hard and very cold lab table. Upon looking around, she saw that she was in Vexen's lab. This was weird, why leave her someplace so uncomfortable instead of the medical center? She sat up rubbing her head, it must have all been a dream. When she looked more closely at her surroundings, Calixa realized that the lab looked different. Did Vexen remodel?
The door opening broke her thoughts. Vexen came in followed by Zexion, "Good you're awake," Vexen said.
"Can you still not speak?" Zexion asked.
Calixa sighed deeply. It wasn't a dream, this was really happening. She opened her mouth and tried to say no, but still nothing came out. "I'll take that as a yes," Zexion continued.
Vexen nodded, "I have just the cure." He opened a drawer, and pulled out some type of instrument that looked like it should have been in a medieval torture chamber. "Just lie on your back and open your mouth, this should only take a moment," the blonde approached her with the instrument.
"Like hell you are!" the words ripped from Calixa's vocal cords, as she flung herself off the table and onto the floor.
Vexen and Zexion both looked at each other and nodded. "Works every time," Vexen said and put the instrument back into the drawer.
Calixa rubbed her throat and cleared it, "Wow, my voice works again."
"It always did," Vexen commented to no one in particular. "Six you should take her to the Superior."
Calixa opened her mouth to ask why they didn't remember her, but suddenly stopped, deciding to go with her better judgment. It could be dangerous trying to convince everyone that you already know then all, so she decided to play along with it. "Follow me," Zexion said emotionlessly, and left the room. Calixa followed without word.
As she expected, they went strait to Xemnas's office. Zexion knocked on the door and almost immediately Xemnas's cool voice answered, "Enter."
They walked into a very different looking office then Calixa was used to. Before Xemnas's office was filled with drawers and stacks of papers, but right now it was more like a library. The room was round, with his desk in the center of the room. The cylinder walls were covered in shelves filled with books and old scrolls. "So this is the new member," Xemnas said staring at her. He was sitting behind the desk with a scroll lying out in front of him. Saïx was there also, standing silently behind Xemnas.
Zexion nodded. "I'll leave her to you," he said then left the room.
Xemnas went into the normal speech about hearts, heartless, and their Kingdom Hearts goal. This was very strange. Calixa never once heard anything about Xemnas giving this speech. It was always whoever went to find the new member, that had to explain everything. She liked it better that way, because she was falling asleep listening to Xemnas drone on about it. He finally ended with, "You shall refer to me as the Superior."
That was new; normally the speech was ended with. "Do you want to join?" but he didn't even seem to be giving her the option. "State your true name," he continued.
"Cal- Alica," Calixa state almost giving her Organization name. She did like her new name, hopefully they wouldn't give her a different one. "But you can just call me Calixa. C-A-L-I-X-A," she decided not even to give them the chance.
She saw Xemnas's emotionless face flicker suspiciously, but only for a moment. "How do you know about the anagram naming system?"
"Zexion told me," she lied quickly, hoping that Xemnas wouldn't check up on that.
"Very well, we can move on. Part of being a Nobody is having an element, and a weapon that you can summon on your own accord-"
"I think I already know them both," Calixa interrupted. She was tired of all this introduction stuff, that he already knew about. "I mean I already figured out that I had special powers, I never know why before now," she lied. At least she had gotten real good at lying.
Both Xemnas and Saïx looked at each other suspiciously, before looking back at the red head. "Very well, lets see your weapon," Saïx ordered.
Calixa summoned her small pen, and didn't even wait for one of them to ask her how it works. She drew in the hair a messy spear, which turned into a real spear. Both males nodded in approval, "Impressive, can you draw anything you want?" Saïx asked.
"Yeah, but they only last for about thirty seconds or so before disappearing." As if to confirm it the spear suddenly disappeared, and Calixa dismissed her pen.
"So what about your element?" Xemnas asked.
The sound of a growling lion was suddenly heard from behind the two older nobodies. Calixa was slightly disappointed in there reactions, as she hoped to make them both jump. However all they did was slowly look behind them without flinching, and seeing that there was no lion behind them they put two and two together. "Sound?" Saïx asked her.
She nodded and then the blue haired man spoke to Xemnas, "She seems to have developed her powers very fast."
"Well so did Fourteen."
"But not this fast."
"We don't know how long she's been alive."
Calixa shifted uncomfortably on her feet. Why were they talking like she wasn't even there? "Very well," Xemnas got to his feet. "Welcome to the Organization. Number XVI, Calixa, The Echoing Artist."
Calixa almost gasped. Did she hear that correctly? Was she actually given a title name? The Echoing Artist, it took no time at all to figure out that she loved it. It was in the moment she realized that everyone in the Organization up to Roxas had there own title name. It seemed to have ceased when Xion joined, because no one else was given one.
KHKHKHKHKHKH
Calixa was in her new room that Saïx had led her to after Xemnas finished inaugurating her into the organization. The room set up was very different compared to what it was like when she joined the first time. The room was very white and plain. Nothing hung on the walls, and the only furniture in the room consisted of a queen size bed in the corner, a shelf, a dresser, and a desk. That was it! She would have to decorate and turn this room into her own.
On the upside however, she had her own bathroom. It had to take everyone complaining about how long she took in the shower, to get Xemnas to eventually give her, her own bathroom. Another difference was the organization uniform. Before the uniform was just the organization coat and you could wear whatever you wanted underneath, as long as it didn't clash. But now, she was being forced to wear a plain black shirt, Onyx black pants, knee high boots, and the coat. It sure was uncomfortable. This was very strange. It was like she had been thrown into some sort of alternate universe, where the organization she through she knew was very different.
There was some good points to the new version though. She liked having a title name. "Number sixteen, the Echoing Artist," she said to herself admiring the way it ringed.
A thought suddenly came to mind. If she just joined as number sixteen, then that means Bàli hadn't joined yet. And Xacrrie hadn't joined yet either. Maybe this wasn't an alternet universe, but a wish come true. Life without the pipebowers. But why all the side effects, like the uniform? It didn't matter though, just as long as there were no Scotts. She would go and find Neox, and start a new life without Xacrrie or Bàli. Sure it was sad that Xero had to go through all this, but it was a necessary loss. As long as she had Neox, she was happy.
Calixa left the room to go find Neox's room. At least the castle wasn't different at all, though it was still huge with endless hallways. She noted that all the bedroom doors had the member's number and title name engraved into the wood. Also there seems to be traces of the members element on the door. Like when she passed "Number VIII, Flurry of Dancing Flames" There were definite burn marks all over the door. And passing the door, "Number II, The Freeshooter" she could see traces of bullet holes.
There didn't seem to be any pattern with how the members doors were rooms were placed in the castle. One hallway had Demyx and Xaldin's rooms, while another hallway had Zexion and Vexen's rooms. Another hallway only had one door that said "Vexen's Lab."
After what felt like forever, she finally found the door that read, "Number XVI, The Tiny Terror." That was an interesting title name for Neox, she couldn't figure out why they would give him Tiny Terror as a title name. Sure he was pretty small, but a terror wasn't exactly how she'd define him. This was also the door that didn't have anything on it to indicate there element or weapon. It was just a plain old door, just like Calixa's. The carrot head knocked on the door. Normally she wasn't one for knocking, but considering that this was technically there first meeting, it was probably better to. She received no answer however, she knocked one more time then opened the door and peaked in. "Neox?" she called looking around and gasped.
The occupant of the room was certainly not Neox. You could go by the contents of the room and know that this wasn't Neox's room. For one it was filled with toys. Other then the normal furniture that was in her own room, there was a play kitchen, a small table that had a tea party set lying on top, several buckets and baskets were filled with various small toys, the bed was covered with stuffed animals, and on the TV in the corner of the room was what looked like some cartoon.
Sitting on the ground by the tea party table was a small girl, probably no older then four or five years old. She had jet black hair, that was long and strait and hung down just a couple inches past her waist. She stared at Calixa with wide fearful coffee brown eyes. "Who are you?" Calixa asked her in shock. Where was Neox?
The child stood up and backed away fearfully. Calixa never one to like kids, stepped out and closed the door without another word. Now she was really freaking out. Where was Neox, he had to be here. She had to ask someone, what was going on. Why did a little child take the place of Neox? Roxas! Roxas could help clear this up. She went onto the search for the door that read, "Number XIII, Key of Destiny." It was no wonder Tiny Terror didn't seem to suit Neox, it wasn't even his title name.
It took her a lot less time to find the right door then before. Her mind was so ruffled that she went back into her normal routine of walking in without knocking. "Roxas,' she said opening the door and walking in.
What she saw inside, brought her back to earth. The blonde key of destiny was in some sort of make-out session. A girl with long wavy black hair that went several inches past her shoulders, had Roxas pushed against the wall, and was in the process of deeply kissing him. Calixa let out a squeal and covered her mouth in shock. The girl turned around and glared at her with emerald green eyes, "Ever heard of knocking?" she asked coldly.
Roxas looked very embarrassed and flustered. "Um… you must be the new girl," he said his cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red.
Calixa stared at him flabbergast, she couldn't believe it. "R-Roxas what the- what about Xion?" she asked.
"Xion?" the girl's eyes narrowed and turned back to Roxas. "Who's Xion? Are you cheating on me?"
"N-No of course not. I've never even heard of a Xion before," Roxas defended himself.
Calixa was beyond confused, "What do you mean you've never heard of a Xion before? I'm talking about Xion, number fourteen keyblade wielder, you two are inseparable. Ringing any bells?"
Both older Nobodies were staring at the red head like they were questioning her sanity, in fact they were. "I think she's crazy," the girl whispered to Roxas, who nodded in agreement.
"Listen," Roxas said slowly sounding like he was talking to someone who was about to jump off a building. "I think you have me confused with someone else."
"That or you're just confused," the girl added speaking like Calixa was a small child who had just learned that Santa Clause wasn't real, and patting the top of her head. If Calixa hadn't been feeling so lost and alone right now, she would have smacked the girl for that.
"There is no Xion here," Roxas continued. "This is Xylia, and she's number fourteen. Not Xion. Understand."
"There's no Neox either?" Calixa choked out, her world was crashing around her.
Roxas and Xylia looked at each other, "No… there's no Neox," Roxas replied. He grabbed the younger girls arm gently, "Why don't I take you back to your room, so you can rest."
The carrot head allowed herself to be led through a portal, "I'll be back in a sec Xy," Roxas called over his shoulder. He must have known where her room was because they reappeared right outside the door that read, 'Number XVI, The Echoing Artist.' "Here we are." He announced once they appeared. "What's your name?"
"…Calixa," she replied after a moment of silence. Not that it really mattered anymore, life wasn't worth living if Neox wasn't there. She couldn't believe that this happened, she would rather have the pipe blowers then no Neox at all.
"It's nice to meet you," Roxas smiled warmly at her. "Welcome to the Organization."
Roxas teleported away, leaving Calixa alone in the hallway. She walked back into her room after a few moments. The room now felt more like a prison cell with blank walls and lousy exterior, which didn't help her mood. She took off the Organization jacket, laid on the bed, and was soon asleep.
KINGDOMHEARTS
It was all a dream! Calixa kept telling herself that, as she determinedly kept her eyes closed after waking up. It had to have all been a dream, she was going to open her eyes and see her normal messy room. Not the blank room she went to bed in. She finally opened her eyes and looked around. If she had a heart it would have sunk, as she looked around and found the empty room with very little furniture. It was not a dream… this was real. Neox was really gone…
Ducking underneath the blankets, she closed her eyes and tapped bare heels together. Sure it was lame, but it was worth a shot, she was growing desperate. "There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like HOME!" Looking again, nothing had changed.
Suddenly the door knocked, "Dinner is ready!" Xaldin's voice called through the doorway. "Are you decent?"
Calixa looked down at herself; she had only taken off her organization coat before going to sleep so she was still wearing the pants and black shirt. "Yeah," she replied and the door opened revealing Xaldin standing in the door way.
"I'm supposed to show you where the kitchen is," he explained. "After that you can just teleport there."
Calixa really wanted to glare at him and say, "Shove it, I'm in mourning!" then hide back underneath the covers until this nightmare was over. But knowing that wouldn't help her situation, and more likely make it worse, she nodded and stood up.
"Put your coat on, the Superior doesn't all anyone out of uniform at meals," Xaldin said.
Xemnas is certainly a lot more strict in this universe then the other one, Neox and Xion always showed up to breakfast in there pajama's every morning. Of course Neox and Xion didn't exist in this universe… that possibly had something to do with it.
Calixa pulled the organization coat back on, and followed Xaldin to the kitchen. She barely paid attention to where she was going, which was probably a bad idea considering this was the only time she'd be shown to the kitchen. When they arrived the rest of the organization was already there sitting around the table. Mealtimes didn't seem to be much different, except for the table being smaller. The table in her universe was huge and there was enough room for the organization members to pick wherever they wanted to sit. This table looked just large enough to hold all 16 of them, and there was only one vacant chair left when Xaldin sat down next to Xigbar and Lexaeus. Unfortunately it was the seat right next to the small child that had replaced Neox.
Knowing there was nothing else to do, Calixa sat down at the table. As soon as she did the table went into a bustle as everyone grabbed different platters and served themselves. It looked like in this universe no one was allowed to eat until everyone was at the table. Calixa didn't have much of an appetite, so all she took from the table was a small piece of chicken, broccoli, and refried beans, and even with that she spent more time pushing the food around her plate then eating it.
Demyx who was sitting on the other side of her, smiled and said. "You must be the new girl, I'm Demyx." He greeted and offered a hand to shake.
She gave him a dead fish hand shake but he didn't seem to mind, "I'm Calixa."
"Why don't I introduce you to everyone," Demyx offered. "The kid on your right is Alexia."
Demyx pointed at the girl who replaced Neox, who looked over at them just as she was putting a spoonful of beans in her mouth. She shyly waved at Calixa, who didn't wave back. "And right next to her is Luxord," Demyx continued, naming off all the organization members she already knew.
As he got toward the end of the table he introduced Roxas and Xylia. "We've met," Xylia replied coldly, and Roxas just blushed looking like he wished to sink into the floor.
"And I'm sure you've already met Saïx, and next to him is Xylia's brother Zexion-"
CLANG!
Calixa had just dropped her fork down onto the place with a loud clatter. Did she just hear him right? Brother? Since when did Zexion have a sister? The entire table went silent waiting her hear her explanation. "S-Sorry, slipped my fingers," she quickly replied laughing nervously.
Demyx seemed to think that was a good enough answer and finished off by introducing Marluxia at the end of the table.
Unfortunately I don't remember much of what I had planned for this one. It was going to be a fairly long work that would have probably been posted as a separate story. I believe the ending would have had Calixa go back to her world with no time passing, and a greater appreciation for her friends. This would have also started her eventual lengthy acceptance of Bàli and Xacrrie.
More to come...
