They grow up so fast.

Chapter 1

Maki was going over her weapons, maintained is the key to keeping everything sharp and at the ready to use, yet, as she went over one of her katanas, she sighed. "I wonder how Yuta is doing?" she thought aloud.

"Staying under the radar… well… that's a bit of a lie…"

She jumped to the voice yet settled the moment she realized it was Lady Tiamat. She sighed with relief. "Oh, sorry lady Tiamat, normally no one sneaks up on me."

She smiled warmly and nodded. "I understand… mind if I take a seat?"

She nodded graciously as Lady Tiamat sat near by. Maki had outfitted an old cave within the domain with her weapons, there were many rocks for chairs but her company appeared to not have mind. "What brings you here?"

Lady Tiamat appeared to be ho huming the notion. "Well, with recent events, I have decided to see if of having more dragons in this world. They are greatly needed. So, I have come to see if you would be interested? I have already turned a few others without anyone really noticing…"

She froze.

Maki peered at lady Tiamat in disbelief. "Me? A mere human?"

She laughed of course. "Child… you are no mere human. I have been observing you, when all others focus on the tasks in the domain. You ensure stability. It's become a little more difficult now since your friends are altering, even your teachers. But, I had held back in turning the others since I was waiting for my sons to turn their wives… I should have known they would forget…"

"Itadoris sometimes share the same brain cell."

"I am starting to see that more and more with Suiryu. Not a bad thing considering… Still, I expected more from them…" she said and sighed once more. "So, as such I was wondering if you, are interested? I should have told you earlier… I found Yuta and already altered him… there was just some… difficulty with his."

She froze to this. "Is he okay?!"

Lady Tiamat nodded. "He is unharmed, but at the moment, he's rather… shy about his appearance."

Maki was confused but merely nodded to her words. As such, she took a seat. "To be a dragon huh? What kind?"

"I don't know, that depends on the soul you take in and your soul rewriting it. Sometimes a dragon's type is determined by their power, the sorcerers for example it is their technique more or less. For someone like you, you maybe like my daughter Rhea, she's a warrior dragon. Very rare for a female to obtain but not out of the realm of possibility."

Maki snickered a little. "I think the Zen'in clan would be rolling in their graves if they knew I became a dragon… all the more reason to do it!"

There was no hesitation in her mind. After all, everyone else turned out just fine, she wouldn't be an exception to the rule, right? Either way, she would never be called a monkey again after this. "What do I need to do?"

Lady Tiamat smiled.

She took out a dragon's soul orb and presented it to her. "Merely swallow it, but I will warn you, when you emurge as a dragon, you will have to come with me right away. I have a feeling, unlike the others, you are going to know your new form very quickly…"

A week would pass.

In the heavenly realm, Lady Tiamat had arranged meetings for young female with male dragons from Ether. So far her mixers have turned out very well, especially since the dragons are mainly the ones raised by Choso and Rhea. She would watch on in amazement as some of them would speak to a female, but then pause their conversation before getting a brother or close friend. If they are not interested but her interests are similar to another dragon, they introduce them.

Rather remarkable now that she thinks about it.

But for the past three, there was always one odd male out. It doesn't help that his form wasn't one he made for himself.

"Ugh, that thing came back…" one female whispered.

He lingered in the corner meekly. He bore one massive eye, and long white trailing scales that would be similar to hair. He had no back legs and appeared more snake like than a dragon. His front arms were massive and very intimidating, and yet he smiled gently.

'Perhaps I should have waited on Yuta. Considering Rika's attachment to him…' Lady Tiamat thought. She remembers how he was turned too. Yuta had swallowed the orb but the moment his heart stopped, Rika freaks out and roared in anger.

"YOU KILLED YUTA!" she roared at Lady Tiamat.

"He will change, and become a dragon… Rika, I want you to keep him safe until he turns, I will let you do as you see fit for him, but know when he is a dragon… you will no longer be bound to him."

Rika hissed bitterly, but glared at Lady Tiamat. "I decide…" she said. "I decide who stays with him!"

It was a fair request, so she agreed. Lady Tiamat fused Rika to Yuta during his transformation in the shell, she never realized Rika would alter his form so much, that no dragon would want him.

She was doing the mixer once more for the forth time, Yuta once more stayed in a corner and away from the others, no one would approach him anyways.

Then SHE came into the lair.

Every dragon stopped and stared at her. She was a slim looking, obsidian dragon with sharp, narrow wings. One could imagine that at her will, she could sever limbs with her wings alone.

She was dark black but bore red marble like streaks across her body. "Look at her, her scales are like art!" one female whispered.

She didn't look at anyone in the room, but her eyes set on the corner. She approached Yuta fearlessly.

Yuta took notice of her, but peered away. "Sorry, you may want to consider another…" he said gently.

"Why?" she demanded rather bluntly. "I know how protective Rika is of you."

He froze to this, instantly, Yuta turned and stared at the dragon before him. "Maki?" he whispered in shock.

She nodded to him. "Good to see you again… Rika, I know you are still bonded to Yuta… you won't leave him unless there is someone willing to love him as much as you did. I promise you… I do… and I will. As such, I will vow here and now. Our first born daughter we will name Rika after you."

His body trembled. The one massive eye in the middle of his forehead tear up. "You… love… Yuta too?" Rika could still be heard, but her voice was weakened.

"I do, and I promise to take excellent care of him… may I?"

Yuta suddenly looked uncomfortable. His body worped suddenly by the scales on his head until…

Fizzz…..

There was smoke and as the scales lowered… a rather handsome young dragon appeared.

His body was proportionate, his back legs came in and a powerful tail followed. Yuta's body glistened a pearl white hue, and he shined in the room! He had two powerful eyes and the scales that appeared like hair were now movable like limbs. In fact, he could stiffen them and he could have a crown of horns if needed. "Is… this me?" he asked.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from you" Maki said confidently, she suddenly felt a hard shove to her left side. She shoved back, knocking over a female dragon. "OY! Who gives you the right to sneak in!" she snapped at her.

The female protested. "We didn't know he could become that!"

"You missed out then, Yuta… shall we?"

He looked to Lady Tiamat, who gave a nod. He smiled and nodded to Maki. "Yeah, let's go… but where?"

She laughed. "Let go on a honeymoon, you know I think we can go anywhere in the world… away from Sukuna…"

He sighed. "I was already warned of him… He's the last face I wanted to see… So somewhere far away sounds good. Had a place in mind?"
