I do not own any of the Star Wars and DC characters and ideas represented in this work.

It was the morning after the final battle on the Thanagarian cruiser. All Thanagarian craft were reporting back to the mothership to return towards Thanagar. The League, without their Watchtower, were at Bruce's Mansion. All six members were now in the closed meeting hall to discuss what to do on Shayera and eventually how to help Luke Skywalker. Shayera herself was on the other side of the doors in civilian clothing provided by Bruce, she was watching the television that was broadcasting her people's retreat from Earth.

Shayera turned off the TV, not wanting to hear about her first family leaving. Her first family, her people, already decided on Shayera's fate. They would mark her as a betrayer, traitor, and sympathetic to the Gordanians. That last part wasn't true, but since she was already the first two, she might as well be. Her first family decided what to do with her, now she will have to wait for her friends whom she considered family to think about what to do with her. The Justice League might never forgive her for what happened. Even when she did her best to fix it before it was too late, they might never truly give her a second chance.

They will always doubt her, they will always look at her differently. To them, she could never be a hero anymore, no matter how hard she tried. She sat back down on the couch. Thinking about why they were taking so long to decide. She thought that she already decided her fate, guess though they were still debating on it. She lets down the remote on the table and lets her arms on her legs as she leans in from the couch.

She thought that doing the right thing would make it feel better, that the guilt she carried from the start would fade away. But it stayed there like a heavy rock that was chained to her wherever she went. She didn't want to do anything really except sit there and linger in her own self-doubt, she thought she deserved it.

Then her inner thoughts were interrupted by a warm greeting from the one man person who for some reason gave her the time and day. "Well, Good Morning, Shayera." Luke Skywalker was on the other side of the couch smiling at her, still wearing his all-black outfit.

She looked up to the blonde, also noticing the small robot on wheels right next to him. She didn't know how long they'd been there, she was probably so entrenched in her thoughts that she didn't hear them come. She wanted to say good morning back to the man who was so compassionate enough to talk with a traitor. She also wanted to say nothing, just go back to what she was doing and dig herself in a hole. But she did want to return the politeness to the man who somehow believed in her back in the cave and in the ship.

"Good morning, Skywalker," she meekly replied to the younger man. Skywalker then sat on the other end of the couch with his robot rolling next to him. He turned his body to face Shayera

"We both know who each other is, but we never did properly greet each other," Skywalker extended his arm towards Shayera for a handshake. "Luke Skywalker, but please call me Luke." Luke gave Shayera a warm smile to the insecure Thanagarian.

Shayera did realize the first interaction the two had was in the Batcave. The first thing Shayera ever said to Luke was that she was sorry for this mess she made. But even then, Luke didn't show a hint of prejudice, anger, or frustration towards Hawkgril despite all of the League doing so. He probably knew that she was a traitor by then. He was an outsider, he might've had a different point of view, but he still had every reason to distrust a two-timing traitor for what she's done. Yet he still smiled and didn't say one negative word in the short time frame they'd meet.

Shayera gave Luke a weekly smile and finished the handshake, "Shayera Hol."

After the handshake, Luke turned his arm to the head of his robot companion, "Where are my manners? This is R2-D2, he's been my friend for the longest time."

R2-D2 moved his dome head to face Shayera and let a couple of beeps to her. Shayera of course didn't understand what he meant. Luke chuckled, "He said it's good to meet you, Shayera."

Shayera smiled back at the little one, "Well, thank you R2-D2."

While the small interaction lifted her spirits, she turned back her head down as her fate was still unclear. Luke saw this and gave her a concerned look, "Is there something wrong, Shayera?"

Shayera looked back at the blonde, replying to his concerns, "They've been in there a long time."

Luke asked another concerning question, "You're afraid of what they'll decide on, don't you?"

Shayera looked away straight forward and closed her eyes to her thoughts, "Yes."

She mostly lied, she was leaving the League one way or the other. If they decide that they'll keep she will still leave. She betrayed her comrades and her family, she wouldn't be able to live herself with it. She can barely look them in the eye anymore and if they decide to keep her, she'll do what? Fight alongside them while she can barely keep eye contact with them. To Shayera, it was clear, she didn't know what to do. That after the League, she'll have nowhere to go. She didn't mean that of where to live, but what to do with herself. She tried being a hero and look how that turned out. She was a soldier and that failed, she was a hero and that failed, finally, she was a lover, and that went nowhere.

Luke budded into Shayera's inner turmoil, "You're not worrying about the League's decision on you," Luke accused, "You're more worried about the path you want to take after this, don't you?"

Shayera looked at Luke as she was taken back from the question. She thought he understood almost exactly what she was thinking even though she didn't say anything about it. "How do you know?"

Luke smiled, "I'm just good at reading people's moods." He turned his smiling look to concern as he moved closer to Shayera, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You probably think you don't belong anywhere do you?"

Shayera looked at Luke, she didn't want to confirm Luke's concerns, but he was right. She nodded to him. Luke continued his talk to the lost Hawkgirl, "Do you remember back on the ship that it's never too late to fix a mistake?"

Shayera nodded, even though she had the will to help the League after the betrayal, she lost it when Talak imprisoned her. Shayera spoke up, "I thought fixing things would make things as they were before, but it sure doesn't feel like it." She placed her head down in shame.

Luke moved closer to her, "Shayera, these things take time, you've made a mistake and made up for it. That's the important part, but if you want them to forgive you at some point and make things better, it will take time." Luke continued, "And you can't keep this self-doubt in you Shayera, like I said back on the ship, you're a good person, they'll see that eventually. Don't let your self-doubt and fear destroy you, trust me, it will never do you good."

Shayera blinked at the Jedi to think about his words and to ask herself why. Why is this man trying to help her, yes he'll probably say it's the right thing to do but the right thing to do was saving the planet. He said back on the ship that he wasn't going to do anything before he saved her, even though she was already freed. Then he said how all of these emotions she was feeling right now would destroy her, almost as if he experienced it before. She wanted to know why this stranger was so understanding while she wasn't.

"Why are you helping me?" Shayera accused Luke.

Luke turned his head slightly in confusion and replied, "I'm sorry?"

Shayera continued, "Ever since we've met, you've been trying to help and talk to me as if I didn't do anything wrong."

Luke replied that shocked Shayera, "Because I believed you when you said, you didn't know what they were planning. You were just misguided, all of this Shayera isn't your fault."

Shayera was taken aback by his words. It was almost as if Luke was telling her what she wanted to hear. She continued her questions with frustration, "There it is again! You act like I've never done anything wrong despite me willingly betraying my friends and almost helping destroy the planet. Are you just THAT naive to think I'm a good person, because maybe the league was right, but I'm probably not."

Shayera stared into Luke, thinking she had enough of all this excessive compassion coming from the man who had no reason to show her. Luke looked away with a sorrowful face and held his head down, not saying a word to Shayera's accusations.

Shayera realized the outburst she had aimed at Luke. The one person who willingly showed her kindness and wanted to understand her at the time she needed the most. She held her head down in defeat and looked away from Luke.

"Great Shayera," she thought to herself, "You had to yell at the person who was trying to help you, you just had to prove yourself and what people think of you, that you just cause nothing but trouble."

There was an awkward silence between the two. Shayera expected Luke to leave, and to never talk to her after her unjustified outburst. She expected him to yell at her, thinking to herself she deserved it. She expected him to take back everything he said and say that she didn't deserve anything at all. She expected all of that but yet got none of it. One thing that Shayera wasn't expecting was Luke's open and honest response to her.

Luke straightened his back took a long deep breath and exhaled. Then facing Shayera to respond, "My father was a slave since the day he was born."

Shayera turned to Luke as her eyes widened at Luke's response, not expecting Luke to reveal his family's history, she looked at him and wanted to say she was sorry. But she could tell he needed to say more.

"My father, Anakin Skywalker, grew up in a world that was cruel and barbaric. He had a master who didn't care for him. The only thing he had in his life was his mother who truly loved him." He paused before continuing, "He was born with powers like mine, the order before me the Old Jedi Order found him and wanted to train him. But they couldn't free his mother like they could free him."

Shayera continued to look in sorrow as he continued, "He had to leave his mother to be trained like a Jedi, like me. But he wouldn't be able to see her again when he was older. She would be killed in a tragic and brutal way." Shayera wanted to say something so that she could tell he was uncomfortable and didn't need to continue to drive whatever he was saying. He was about to open her mouth to start but Luke stopped her with his hand.

"He still continued to train under my first mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. They were like brothers, they fought and bled together in a war. But my father had nothing to love until he met my mother. He loved her and she loved him greatly. But the Old Jedi made love forbidden, they saw it if you had any personal attachments, it would become an obsession, and you would be driven to a darker path."

The blonde continued his explanation, "But my father loved my mother dearly, they married each other in secret to protect their love. My mother would be pregnant with me and my sister. My father feared of losing my mother. He didn't know what to do, then he met Sheev Palpatine, Darth Sidious."

Shayera could tell where this was going by the name of "Sidious". Luke continued his father's story, "He told Anakin that he could save them if he joined him to become his apprentice, to be seduced by a dark power to save the ones he loved. My father agreed and became his underling known as Darth Vader." Shayera took notice of Luke's expression when he said, that the next part Luke didn't want to say but had to. "My father did many terrible things, disturbing things. Even after Obi-Wan defeated him, Vader still persisted."

"My mother had me and my sister and passed away shortly after. To protect the both of us from Vader, Obi-Wan and my last teacher, Master Yoda, separated us from each other and faked our deaths with our mother." Shayera was shocked, "It was to protect both of us from him and ourselves. But when it was revealed that Vader was my father, I couldn't believe it, but it was true. When I was done with my training to become a Jedi, my mentors told me that I had to confront and defeat Vader and Sidious."

Shayera wanted to know more and asked Luke, "Did you?"

Luke nodded, "I did, but not the way you think. The first time I fought with my father, I sensed he had still good in him, that Anakin Skywalker was still alive despite my mentors claiming that Vader killed him. I sensed that he had conflict within him, that he was still a slave to Sidious, to the dark side but couldn't kill his own son. When I confronted him and Sidiuos, I was almost killed by his master but that's when my father did something. He had a choice, in that moment he was free to choose his path, to be an agent of evil or to save his son."

Luke looked down in sorrow, "He sacrificed himself to save me from Sidious and destroy him." He then looked up to Shayera, "But he chose to walk back in the light. Even since he was born, Shayera, my father was a slave in his entire life, never being able to choose his own path. He was a slave on his home planet, a slave to the Jedi Order, a slave to Sidious, and he was a slave to the Dark Side."

"My father was a victim of circumstance, misguided since he was born, never actually knowing what's good or bad. When people thought of Vader, they would never take the time to understand why he did those things. That he was at fault for the Galaxy's problems."

He paused then continued, "But the truth is, Shayera, that it wasn't his fault. That we should detest the act, not the person. When my father passed away, I realized something, that people thought he could never be redeemed, but in the end, he did. I realized that if my father can be turned back to the light despite everything he's done, then any can, even you Shayera Hol."

Luke Skywalker looked into Shayera's eyes as she was still processing Luke's tragedy. She had questions of her own but knew what he was going at. "Shayera Hol isn't Anakin Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker isn't Shayera Hol." Luke continued, "But if you two were misguided souls that realized at the end what needed to be done, despite it being the hardest sacrifice." Luke came closer, "You sacrificed your own life with your people to do what you thought was good, Shayera. I believe you're a good person and you should do the same."

Shayera looked back to Luke, her eyes were starting to feel watery but made sure to hold the tears back. "If you start believing in the good in you Shayera, then your friends will do the same, it will take time but they will, I promise you that they will."

Shayera didn't say anything, she couldn't. Luke all of these time felt pity and wanted to help. She thought this wasn't some act or he was naive, he wanted to save her from these feelings she had, and that's what he meant back on the ship. At that moment, Shayera knew what to do, it wasn't the option she wanted. She still didn't believe she was a good person after the betrayal, she thought she was no better than the villains they fought previously. But after Luke's talk, maybe Shayera Hol can do good, she just needs to believe it, and she needs time for herself.

Alfred was silently waiting behind the duo when he had his hand on Shayera's shoulder, "They've sent for you, miss."

Shayera looked back at Alfred, "Thank you, Alfred," and stood up.

Luke was still sitting down with R2, he gently grabbed Shayera's hand to stop her, to give his final advice on what to do, "Shayera, whatever happens, they don't decide your own fate, you do." Luke calmly advised Shayera.

Shayera silently nodded and left the room behind Alfred to guide her to the conference room.

Alfred showed her a twin set of doors that she'd need to walk through, despite having enhanced strength the door she opened felt heavier than it should be. She entered the room and saw that everyone was in costume. Everyone was fine from the incident except for John whose right arm was in a cast.

Superman was in the middle, with his hands behind his back to give Shayera their answer, "Hawkgirl-,"

Shayera quickly cut off Superman, "Before you start, I have something to say…"

She paused, taking a step closer before continuing, "I came to this planet, as a patriot. I had a mission and I carried it out." The League listened to her in their own way, Wally was frowning, John looked into Shayera with distraught, and Diana gave a cold stare to Shayera. None of it stopped Shayera from finishing her statement, "What I couldn't know was that I would come to care for the Earth and her people. That I've come to care for all of you."

She continued, "I've spent the last five years torn between my feelings and my duty. I won't ask you to do the same." She took a deep breath, thinking the air was heavier than usual, "Therefore I am resigning from the Justice League, effective immediately."

She finished and turned around to leave the group, Wally walked up from her side and gave her a quick hug. Shayera hugged back, excluding Luke Skywalker, Wally would have been the one most sympathetic to her. The hug ended and she pressed forward out of the room. She moved away from the League, starting something she would never thought of when she was first assigned to Earth, finding herself.

Luke meditated on the couch after his talk with Shayera. The talk itself became more personal than he intended to be. Shayera was just like his father, both were misguided and wanted redemption but didn't know how. Albeit both people have different motives and circumstances. Seeing Shayera in the same thinking trap he found her back on the ship made him want to tell his father's story that somewhat reflected each other. Both were victims of circumstances who were misguided to do their actions.

All of the information he got from his father other than his mentors were obscure articles about his time in the war, the very few documents and journals of old Jedi Council members, and security footage of various points saved in some Imperial Archive he found. This was after his final duel with his father when he searched at multiple points of the Galaxy for any information about the Jedi.

Luke thought he still didn't fully know the full picture of his father's story. He knew the general facts, his father was a slave freed by the Jedi. His mother was left and years later died. The council doubted him since the beginning of his training. He married Padme Amidala in secret and she would become pregnant with him and his sister. At some point, Anakin realizes that they will die, so he is seduced by the Dark side of Palpatine to teach him to save them.

He might never know the full details, but he acknowledges his understanding of his father's life, from his downfall to his eventual redemption. Telling Shayera all of this was unnecessary, to say the least. To say about his father's story where not even all of the Galaxy knows Anakin Skywalker was Darth Vader to a stranger was hard for him. But he could tell Shayera was lost just like his father was long ago. She might have the answer in her this entire time, she just needed someone to tell her that. His father would've benefited from that when he started to be lost.

Luke patiently waited for the League's talk with Shayera to be over. Superman said after their talk with her the League would help Luke repair his ship. He hoped that the League would come to forgive Shayera or at least understand her. However, he could still sense some bitterness from them, despite her helping them at the end.

In thinking of forgiveness, Luke thought of one scenario in the past if it happened. "Would Ben and Yoda forgive Anakin for all that he's done?" When Luke read Ben's memoirs back in his hut on Tatooine, he mentioned he confronted Vader on Mustafar after Vader's attack on the temple. What if Anakin realized what he'd done and wanted to redeem himself right there? Would Obi-Wan give him the chance despite what he's done? Would Yoda do the same? Would anyone understand Anakin's situation or even try to?

Luke's hypotheticals were stopped when he realized Shayera was coming back from the conference she was in. He got up and made his way to talk to her about how he went. He could already tell that she was still in a dower mood, though he could sense it was less severe before their talk. He could feel it was the conversation she didn't want to have but needed. That it was something she needed to do, for the betterment of everyone, including herself.

"How did it go?" Luke asked.

Shayera looked at him and replied, "I'm leaving."

Luke asked her to elaborate, "Was that their or your decision?"

"Mine," she answered, "Just feel like I would be a burden to them."

Luke looked to Shayera, to reply to his thoughts about her low self-esteem, "You know you're not a burden, Shayera."

"I-I know, but it just feels like I won't be able to help when I'm confused about myself."

Luke saw her inner self-doubt still lingering, despite his best efforts. The best option for Shayera was to leave the League and search herself for a time, she was obviously showing that this was her goal. "You're leaving so you can be alone and think for yourself, aren't you?"

Shayera nodded, then gave him a smile, "Wow, it's almost like if you can read my mind."

Luke smiles back at her, she reminds of himself when he was at a time when questioning himself, questioning what it is to be a Jedi. Luke extended his hand to offer her a goodbye handshake, "Well, I hope you find what you're looking for in yourself."

Shayera looked into Luke and gave a pregnant pause before embracing Luke in a hug. Luke wasn't really surprised, but he wasn't expecting a person he met to give him a goodbye hug. But he also knew Shayera might've appreciated his words of encouragement when she needed it the most. Luke warmly returned the hug and did it for several moments.

Shayera let go of Luke and then proceeded to walk towards the mansion's front door. Luke wanting to say something in a charm of luck turned around and got Shayera's attention. "And Shayera."

Shayera stopped and looked around towards the Jedi. Luke gave her a kind smile to her, wishing her the best, "May the Force be with you."

He could tell Shayera was a little confused about the line but realized he was wishing her luck. Shayera's smile grew larger Luke exited the mansion. Luke stood there for a moment, thinking that at some point they would meet again. By then, he's sure that she'll find peace with herself.

Alfred tapped Luke on the shoulder to get his attention, "They're ready for you, Master Skywalker."

Luke replied, "Thank you, Alfred," He then followed Alfred and called on Artoo to follow them, "Come on, Artoo."

Artoo let out a whistle and started to wheel over to Luke. While walking Luke can tell Alfred wanted to say something to the blonde. "I hope you don't mind me saying this sir, but I overheard your conversation with Ms. Hol, and well what you said to her was very wise of you."

Luke smiled while they continued to walk, "Thank you, Alfred."

Alfred asked his question, "Forgive my curiosity sir, but what you said about your father's actions, what exactly did he do?"

Luke's smile faded as he pondered the butler's question. He himself still can't believe it when he found out. Last year he found a recorded holotape of the camera footage of the Jedi Temple during Order 66. The one that he couldn't believe was the council chambers and the younglings hiding, then his father entering. He watched the recordings again, again, and again. If anything, it's a testament to how the Darkside can truly corrupt the greatest men.

Luke didn't think Alfred or the others understood, they didn't even have a good grasp on the Force. For their sake, it's best not to tell them, for now at least. "If I told you, you might look at me differently, I'm sorry but it's just too personal."

Alfred nods his head in understanding his reasoning, "I understand sir, forgive me for barging in with that question."

Alfred then showed Luke and Artoo the double doors that had the League on the other side. Luke opened one of the doors to let himself and Artoo in. They entered and saw the League around the entrance to greet Luke, with Superman in the middle.

"Well, Luke," Superman spoke, "I think we all can say we're thankful that you helped you." All of the League nodded. He could tell from their emotions that the meeting with Shayera was the hardest for them. John feels the worst out of all of them while Diana feels quite bitter about Shayera.

"No problem, right Artoo?" Artoo let a beep saying anytime.

"Well, since you said your ship is in need of repair, we'll be happy to help," Superman stated.

Luke smiled and bowed his body slightly in a show of appreciation, "Thank you all, I can never show my gratitude to all of you."

John Stewart stepped in with his cast, wanting to ask Luke a question. He can tell the Lantern is still thinking about Shayera but also has a concern for Luke. "Don't want to sound forgetful or anything, but earlier when you said you were part of the Jedi that served the Old Republic, what Old Republic?"

Luke raised an eyebrow, he could tell the Lantern was holding in the question since their official meeting at the store. John said earlier that he's been over the Galaxy and never heard of the Jedi. This didn't concern Luke, many people after The Clone Wars forgot about the Jedi's existence. What did concern Luke was that he'd been over the Galaxy and never heard of the Old Republic.

"The Old Republic was a collection of planets forming a democratic union a very long time ago across the Galaxy before the Galactic Empire came to be." Luke gave his textbook definition to the group.

John still looking at Luke with confusion other than understanding, "Sorry, never heard of them, or whatever this Galactic Empire is."

The League looked at Luke as they were trying to puzzle together what was going on. Many things were happening in Luke's mind, if John had been to some places in the Galaxy and never heard of the Empire then something was wrong. Luke then wanted to question John's knowledge of the Galaxy, not to question his intelligence but to whether or not to make sure he knows at least something.

"You don't happen to know what Coruscant is, do you?" Luke asked the Green Lantern.

John Stewart looked at Luke as if he spoke in a language that wasn't English, "Doesn't ring a bell."

That worried Luke, "What about Corellia, Kessel, the New Republic?"

Green Lantern shrugged, "Sorry, should I know them?"

Luke looked over to John, but he didn't answer. He wasn't lying obviously and he was the only one in the League that would know the Galaxy. Luke thought of asking them about any Galactic map they have.

He looked in between the League, "You don't happen to have a Galactic map I can look over? I want to see myself where exactly I'm at."

John rubbed his one free arm, "My ring would but I kinda have to wait for the replacement from Oa."

None of the Leaguers answered except Batman, "My computer isn't a telescope but it does have general information about the Galaxy I can look up."

Luke asked, "Can I use it?"

Batman nodded, "Follow me," Luke, Artoo, and the League made their way to the Batcave except for Green Lantern who went out to the front door. Luke guessed if he was gonna see Shayera or not but he wasn't focused on their situation.

When they made it to the computer, Batman started to sit down and type away on his keyboard. Luke felt nervous, his heart was pounding as if someone inside of him was trying to bust out of his chest. He thought he shouldn't be nervous, he made an educational guess that he was somewhere in the Unknown Regions based on this planet's lack of info on the wider Galaxy. But ever since the accident, this planet, everything he felt through the Force felt weird. The Force itself was weird as well, not bad or good, it was different.

Everything changed when Batman showed a Galaxy on the screen, a Galaxy, not the Galaxy. He was confused, it looked like any other Galaxy in the universe. But it was not the Skyriver Galaxy, it was not his Galaxy. It looked different, he could tell, it was denser, and it had different colors. Nothing is what he's used to in seeing Star Maps.

Luke asked and feared Batman's response, "Is this an accurate map?"

"From what NASA says, yes," Batman replied.

To Luke, it wasn't accurate, it couldn't be. He then remembered Artoo would have the Galactic Map saved in his databanks, if anything he thinks he's just loopy from last night's fight.

"Artoo," he called his Astromech, "Can you show me a hologram of the Galaxy."

Artoo let out a beep and started to display a blue hologram of the Galaxy from his projector. The League gathered around to look at the simulation. Despite having some static and not a very clear picture, it was an accurate representation of the Galaxy. Accurate enough to make Luke's leg wobble as he couldn't put the pieces together. He looked back and forth between simulations to even try to find one similarity. The only similarity is that they were just Galaxies.

Luke told Artoo to shut down the hologram as he braced himself next to the bat computer. He stared at the floor where the hologram used to be as he tried to make sense of it. Diana stepped next to him with concern, "Luke, are you alright?"

No, he wasn't all right. Nothing is alright. "I-I need," He didn't finish his sentence as he realized one thing to find his clarity and find his way out of what he thought was a maze. He needed to meditate, he needed to talk with Ben and Master Yoda through the Force. He knows he can't just call upon force ghosts out of will but he also knows they can help him. They can help him figure out what part of the Galaxy he's out of or what Galaxy he's in. They always help him out and they can do it, right?

Luke went to Bruce, "Is there a room I can use for some time?"

Bruce gave a moment before saying, "I do, Are you feeling alright?"

Luke lied, "I'm fine, I just need to think about something."

Bruce nodded and then called on Alfred to show Luke his temporary guest room. Alfred showed the Jedi to his quarters as Luke told Artoo to sit by the door outside. When left alone, the room was just as lavish as the rest of the mansion. That detail didn't matter to Luke as he needed someplace quiet to meditate.

He sat down on the floor and started to clear his mind. It took some moments before finally calmed down from the situation. Minutes passed, and he then felt he was one with the Force. Like he said earlier, the Force felt weird to him. Like after the first time, he sensed it after the accident it was awakened. That it was in a dormant state before the accident. Though he knew it was already when it became balanced after the Sith were destroyed. But this was different, this sleep that it was in, the hibernation was older, way older. And then suddenly it awoke, not that it was unbalanced but it was off-putting to Luke.

An hour and two passed and Luke thought his trance into the Force was strong enough to contact his former masters.

"Master Yoda?" No response

"Master Yoda I need your help." Silence replied,

"Master Yoda I need guidance." Nothing

He then started to call on his first mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi

"Obi-Wan?" Nothing

"Ben I don't know where I'm at, I need somewhere to be pointed in the right direction." Nothing.

"Ben, I don't know what to do." Nothing

Luke got desperate and called for his sister if even their bonds within the force were strong enough through communication.

"Leia? Can you hear me, Leia?" Leia didn't respond.

"Leia, I'm lost." Nothing

Luke didn't know what to do. He called on one name to help him in his time of need.

"Father?"

Clark was worried for the younger man, Luke Skywalker looked like he was gonna pass out when he viewed the simulated Milky Way on Bruce's computer and now he's in one of the guest rooms. He's been in there for hours with no clear sign of him doing anything. He walked by and knocked on the door with Diana to check on him and he didn't respond. He was tempted to use his X-ray vision but also wanted to respect his privacy. He used his super-hearing to listen to Luke's breathing once in a while to make sure he was ok. From the sound of it, he's asleep though he's not too sure of it.

Wally and John left for their respective cities to start to clean up after the invasion. J'onn will be staying at Clark's parent's house for the time being since the watchtower is gone. He, Diana, and Bruce got into civies and were in the main dining hall waiting for Luke.

Diana pushed her chair out of the table and stood up, "I think we should just open the door and see if he's alright."

Clark replied, "Diana, he looks like he's going through something right now, you say how he looked like when he saw the Galaxy on Bruce's computer, he looked lost."

Diana retorted, "Well it's one thing to have his personal space but it's another when he doesn't even leave the room since this morning." She waved her hand to the nearest window, the sky was turning orange, "It's almost seven in the afternoon and we haven't even heard a peep from him!"

Bruce spoke up, "From the way he looked at the computer, him looking at his own map of a galaxy, and him being confused on John's answers. It's safe to say he might think he's in a different Galaxy."

Clark replied with a sigh, "Seems like it, but we got resources to do so, just won't be easy."

Bruce then shifted his gaze away from Clark and Diana to someone who entered the dining hall. It was Luke Skywalker, looking as if he saw a ghost. Clark and Diana went to Luke to ask how he was feeling with Bruce behind.

"Hey," Clark concernly asked, "You ok?"

Diana went beside Luke in an expression of worry as Clark placed his hand on Luke's shoulder.

Luke took a deep breath and then replied to their concerns, "I-I'm fine, thank you, I apologize for not answering your calls and worrying you."

Clark replied, "No it's ok, you're probably in a difficult spot right now."

Diana stepped in, "It won't take a scientist to say that you're from a different galaxy, are you?"

Luke looked down as if he was just sentenced to death. Diana immediately regretted her comment as Clark placed his hand on Luke's back to give him comfort.

Luke replied, "I'm not from a different Galaxy. I'm from a different Universe."

He didn't think it was possible. How in an instant he was transported to another Universe. He still couldn't believe it himself. The signs were there, the differences between this Galaxy and his, he couldn't contact anyone, and the Force just felt different altogether.

Luke thought it was a fate worse than death, well at least to him. Yes, he was the last Jedi, but if he died then he would become one with the Force in his Universe. Maybe he would try to guide others into becoming Jedi. Ashoka Tano wasn't interested in becoming a Jedi again since her past and Luke respected that. But maybe if he would be gone she would at least understand the situation and pick up the pieces. He could have even had Leia pick up where he left off. Sure she wasn't as interested in the Jedi as he was but she was still strong enough to become one.

All of these possibilities ran through Luke's mind around and around. If he was stuck in another Galaxy, he could have had a fighting chance to get back to his own. Maybe in some special Hyperdrive or somehow learning through the Force how to teleport. But to be in another Universe? It was something Luke didn't think it could be done.

He thought about his friends, Han, Leia, and Chewie. He might not be able to see them again. They might be worried at first about where he disappeared to, they might think he's dead after a certain point. The irony is that he's not, just lost, not being able to call for help. He thought about the Jedi Order. After Yoda's passing, he was truly the last Jedi. The Order's fate and possibly keeping the balance in the Force was rested onto his shoulders and he can't do anything about it. He regrets to himself how he never picked up a Padawan, not even someone to at least know about the Jedi arts in detail. No one will be able to pass the Jedi knowledge in his Universe, no one.

For the first time in years of meditation and practice of his emotions, keeping a calm attitude, Luke was truly afraid of what to do. He was lost, never to be seen again, marooned. Even though he wasn't, he wasn't actually alone, he definitely felt like it. His world crumbled, and somehow the Jedi Order was at a worse spot now than during and after the Great Jedi Purge. Luke felt it was his fault, that he couldn't have done something different, that he shouldn't go through hyperspace or that diplomatic mission at all. But all of that was in the past, it's too late. He was the Last Jedi in his universe and might be the Last Jedi in this one.

Luke's deep fears in these thoughts got interrupted when Clark moved his hand onto Luke's shoulder and asked the Jedi, "Luke, are you fine? You've been standing there for a minute."

Luke blinked a couple of times and looked in between the heroes. Diana and Clark were deeply worried about Luke's absence in reality while Bruce was observing.

"Yes, I'm fine. I think I need to sit down." Luke said. Clark and Diana showed him to the table in the dining hall. Luke pulled up a chair as Clark sat next to him, Diana went beside Bruce.

Silence filled the room as Luke sat there in his thoughts as the trio looked at him waiting for something to happen. "Luke," Clark said, "When you said you're from another Universe, how could you be sure?"

Luke looked at the table to gain some strength to answer and looked between the trio with his reply, "It was because of the Force," Luke thought they still had a low-than-average knowledge of the Force but he would have to explain further. "I can feel it around me, back in my gala- Universe, the Force felt different than the Force here. Here it was more stagnant, asleep if that makes sense." Luke guessed that the three somewhat believed him but did not understand him by their looks.

He sighed, "I know you might not understand it all, but please understand this is not my Universe and I might not be able to return." Luke ended that with sadness.

"We're sorry to hear that, Luke." Clark said, "I believe you."

Diana leaned into Luke to ask him a question, "When you said the Force was asleep, what do you mean by that? Like it's alive?"

Luke knew from the Force was alive, just not how we think the term alive is. "In a way yes," Luke answered, "It's sentient but not in the way well all think sentience is, it's more of a higher power that is every and part of every living creature."

Diana followed it up with another question, "So like a god of sorts?"

Luke knew that there were many groups out in his Galaxy that worshipped the Force, either the Force itself or their own Pantheon. While you can see it has the Force being a god, to the Jedi it's more of a philosophy and a way of life than a religion.

"In some perspectives yes, but really the Jedi Order believes in the philosophy and study of the Force, not worshipping it," Luke replied.

Diana nodded, Bruce kept quiet this entire time while Clark re-entered the conversation, "Well, Luke since you helped us greatly back during the Invasion, we'll help you get back to your Universe."

Luke smiled at the man's commitment to helping him. "Thank you, Clark, though I'm not too sure where to begin at all."

Clark replied, "We've had our fair share of Universe travel before, but we don't exactly have the technology to do so." Luke frowned though he was surprised that they've had experiences with other dimensions.

"But," Clark continued, "I do know one person who might be able to help, his name is Doctor Fate, and he's a magic user. He's very powerful and somewhat deals with alternate realities, he might help you."

Luke continued being surprised at how these individuals could casually say all of this. If someone back in his Galaxy said they involved themselves with other dimensions, they would think you were using Spice too much. Luke doesn't even think you could do that with the Force. Then again, with how much the Galaxy has known the Force for the longest time, it could be possible. However, with his experience and training, he doubted he could learn from it.

"He's usually busy," Clark explained, "But I'm sure he won't decline to help you, he's a good man."

Luke's dour moment slightly faulted. Clark was telling the truth and with all that has happened with these individuals, it could be possible to go back. At this point, Luke has no alternative.

"I would like to meet this man," Luke said.

"I'll make sure to tell him that when he's not busy, but he'll do his best, I promise."

Luke nodded, "Thank you," he looked in between the three, "All of you."

Diana and Clark smiled, relieved that the Jedi got into a better mood, and more importantly, got back hope. Bruce then broke his silence and asked his question, "Since you'll be here for some time, you don't mind explaining your story, do you?"

Luke can understand the need to understand him since he is living on their planet for the foreseeable future. Luke nodded towards Bruce, "If you want to know about my past experiences and my Galaxy then I'll tell."

Luke then told the broad strokes of his Galaxy's history. He didn't really tell them a detailed history lesson, he wanted them to have a good idea about his Galaxy and where he came from. He told them about the Old Republic and its role in history. He went into some detail about the Force, how it's all around in every living thing but only a few can actually be attuned to it. He told them about its connection with the user's Emotions, tying them to the Light and the Dark side of the Force. He explained from his knowledge of the rivalry of the Jedi and the Sith throughout history. The Jedi being Peackeepers joined in the Light and the Sith wanting their needs and power, being in the Dark.

He explained the Jedi before his time believed the Sith to be extinct but that was not true. He told them Darth Sidious was one of the few Sith Lords to hide in the Galaxy, manipulated Galactic Politics by starting the Clone Wars, and managed to gain power through the Republic and change it into the Empire. Sidious managed to turn Luke's father into the Darkside and helped the Emperor destroy the Jedi.

He explained his time with the rebellion and his Jedi training with Master Yoda. How he confronted his father and the Emperor and managed to redeem his father and defeat the Emperor. After that, he told them the Empire fractured, the New Republic took power and Luke continued to start the Jedi Order. He told them about how the old Jedi Order involved itself in Galatic affairs to keep the peace and how he did in their legacy while trying to make the order from the ground up.

Since he noticed Bruce wanted to know about his abilities he explained it to them as well. He explained how he can call on the Force to do a lot of things. Sensing one's thoughts and emotions. Being able to manipulate one's thoughts, Telekinesis, foresight, visions of the past and future, use it for protection, for healing, etc. All of this needs concentration and control over his emotions.

He did say that the Old Jedi Order thought emotions and attachments were the paths to the dark side and so forbid them. However, he did say that this thinking is what made their downfall, so his plan was to rectify that. He explained that by controlling his emotions and not suppressing them like the Old Jedi, he could be better than them. Though he didn't go through details like how he would explain a Jedi in training, he did explain enough to know his capabilities.

After his long explanation that took maybe 40 minutes, Clark spoke up, "Well, seems like you went through a lot."

Luke replied, "It was hard at first, but I wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for my friends along the way."

Clark smirked, as if he understood, "I know how that feels."

Diana commented on Luke's story, "It must've been hard confronting your father."

Luke didn't tell them of Anakin's story like how he did it to Shayera. Parts of him told to himself that he shouldn't ashamed of his lineage, but he also might not understand how Shayera did. From them, it's best not to tell them for not, "It was, but in the end, I knew that he was a good man."

Clark then spoke, "Well since you explained your story, think it's only fair if we did the same for us."

Clark explained that he was part of the race called Kryptionian, when he was born Krypton was destroyed by its own star and his parents sent a ship to Earth. Effectively making him the sole survivor of his entire race, though he did discover his older cousin was sent to Earth a couple of years back. But because of the Earth's Yellow star, Clark can gain powers he wouldn't have on Krypton. Super speed, strength, durability, flight, hearing, laser vision, and sight. Years back he started to protect the planet from various threats, Earth-bound and beyond.

Luke sent his sympathies to Clark for his survival, even though not all Force-sensitives were Jedi, Jedi themselves were considered extinct, probably now since his disappearance. Luke felt somewhat related to Clark with his struggles.

Diana explained her origins, and how she was born on the Island of Themyscira, a society consisting of only female warriors called the Amazons protected by the Greek Gods. She said she was the daughter of Queen Hippolyta, making her a Princess. Luke smirked to himself how he somehow in his life rescued two princesses captured in a detention center. Unfortunately, she was banished from the Island some time ago and no men were allowed on the island. She stated how she was skilled on hand on hand-on-hand and in swordsmanship. Be able to fly, durable, super strength, and speed, though she pointed out not as much as Clark.

Though Luke wasn't too sure if her powers actually did come from her gods, he also felt her powers that weren't through the Force. Bruce didn't speak much the entire time, he just said something about doing the right thing and had his own reasons. Which Luke respects his privacy.

Clark then explained Wally's, J'onn's, and John's powers. Wally is able to do super speed, probably the fastest of all of them, which Luke figured out back in the store. J'onn is able to use telepathy, super strength, shape-shifting, and flight. J'onn was also the last of his kind. Finally, John uses a Power ring, Clark states he was part of the Green Lantern Corps, peacekeepers throughout the Universe, almost like Jedi Luke thought.
He said that they all grouped together after a race called the Imperium invaded Earth, they successfully repelled it and thought forming a team would be the best to deter any threats. Luke thought these people were very noble despite leading civilian lives.

"You all have probably been through a lot," Luke stated.

Clark smirked, "You have no idea."

Luke then noticed it was full-blown dark outside of the mansion. They've been maybe talking for an hour or two. Luke thought he should go back to the room he was offered but wanted to ask for permission from Bruce. "Bruce," Luke asked, "You don't mind if I stay in your mansion for the time being?"

Bruce looked into Luke, the Jedi can already tell he doesn't like him that much. It wasn't at the level of Bruce kicking out Luke but at the point of trusting someone to live in their house for a time level.

Bruce did give it some thought for a moment, "Sure, but there's gonna be some rules if you're going to stay here."

Luke sighed, it wasn't that he wouldn't follow any rules, it was that part of Bruce still being skeptical about the Jedi. "I can see that you're probably gonna be uncomfortable if I stay here." Luke said, "It's best if I don't then."

Bruce didn't change his expression to Luke, though Clark and Diana started to give Bruce the looks, Clark coughed and stepped in, "Well I would offer you a place at my parent's farm, but it's full from J'onn and my cousin staying there." He rubbed his chin to think of a solution before snapping his fingers, "Wait, Luke, you're more or less part of a free-thinking zen thing right?"

Luke raised an eyebrow, he wasn't too sure what he said when he meant "zen" but he was pretty sure what he meant was enlightenment than anything else. "Yes, why?"

"Well," Clark continued, "There's this one place that you might like."

Luke cocked his head, "Really? Where is it?"

Clark asked Luke, "Depends, does your ship still work?"

Luke flew the X-Wing with Artoo as they flew above the Earth's oceans following Superman. Superman said before they left that he knew of one abandoned island in a region called Micronesia that he knows. He stated that he had one of his rogues there so she could separate herself from the world, but that didn't work and she promptly returned to the life of crime.

Luke observed the night sky as he glided the X-Wing over the calm waters, he noticed the sky itself showed the beautiful galaxy in the air. It showed the dazzling bright stars sprinkled through the space between them and Earth. The main attraction was the packed clouds of purple and blue auras that were this galaxy. Luke has been through his galaxy and has seen many vistas to behold. But it amazed him even the vast emptiness of space can deliver an image no hologram can compare.

Luke turned his attention to the tropical island coming up in view. Superman landed on an open beach. Luke started to open the landing gear and placed the X-Wing on the dark-lit beach. He exited the ship to land his feet on the beach and walked over to Superman while Artoo was getting out of the ship. Superman was watching the sky as Luke went beside him. The two stared into the starry-filled dark as Artoo sat behind Luke.

Moments passed, and the only sound was the roaring waves crashing and dissipating into the sand. Superman spoke up, "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Agreed," Luke looking into Earth's deep blue ocean.

Clark said, "Volcana, the person who used to live here had a small house over there," he pointed deeper into the island, showing a small hut-like building made with natural materials. "It's not much, but we can help you make it a little more cozy."

Luke turned around and took a few paces into the island. He could tell before he landed that it was a small island, not too small to see the other end of it, just big enough to support its own ecosystem. He breathed and let in the Force in him. It was strong in life-heavy areas like this. He can feel it in the trees, the plants, the animals that lived here, the bugs, everything connected in its way. The small Isle was in peace, nothing was invasive and destructive. Nothing took too much of what he needed, it was in total balance. It wasn't like his previous temple, but it will do for the time being.

"It's perfect," Luke stated

Clark surprised with how fast made up his mind replied to the Jedi, "That quick, huh?"

Luke turned around, "Trust me, I've been through worse." Luke reminisced about his time in Hoth and Dagobah.

Clark smiled, "Alright, I get what you mean." he looked back at the sea before looking back at Luke. "If you don't mind me saying, can I ask you something?"

Luke looked at the Kryptonian, "Go ahead."

"Since Hawkgirl left, we're kinda down one in the League, it's nothing we can't work with but it's still something to take care of." he sighed, "Our HQ, the Watchtower got destroyed to take down the generator but we're not gonna let either of those things stop us from protecting the Earth. We've been thinking since this morning and we're going to start recruiting new heroes that can make the League bigger, safety in numbers, right?" Luke nodded.

Clark continued, "I know that you already helped us and I appreciate that, you also want to get back home and we won't stop you. But we've seen you can hold yourself in a fight pretty damn good, we're not gonna hold you against this if you say no, but what I'm asking is if you want to join the Justice League. We could really use you."

Luke gave Superman's question some time to think about. He might be stuck in this Universe for some time until Dr. Fate is free to help Luke. Even then there might be a possibility of not returning. Luke stopped himself when he realized that somehow the Force orchestrated this. That maybe he was meant to be sent to this Universe, that he meant to do all of this to save Earth. A small theory hatched that his Universe's Force sent him to do something important.

The Justice League for all their worth are good people. They might have gotten their emotions the best of them at some points but they're still good in heart. They would need all the help they could get after the invasion too. His instincts tell him that he should say yes.

Luke finally gave an answer, "It'll be an honor, Clark." Luke extended his right prosthetic hand to Clark.

Clark happily took the hand and they both smiled at each other. "I'll be honest, I feel like we're not gonna regret this anytime soon."

Luke chuckled, "No I guess not."

"Well it's getting late, you still have the communicator Batman gave you. We'll talk tomorrow if you can."

Luke gestured to the island, "I'll be here."

Clark nodded and then flew up into the air. Superman disappeared in the dark sky as Luke and Artoo were left on the beach. Luke sat down on the sand as Artoo rolled next to him. Luke placed his arm next to Artoo, the Astromech didn't take the news of being marooned in another Universe too well.

Both of them looked into the sea as Biolumentenact plankton started to glow in blue sympathy. They blanketed the waters in a blue light as they mirrored the waves, and collided into the beach. The waves started, rolled themselves in, dived, crashed, and exhausted themselves into the sand in an endless rhythm. The plankton, even in the chaotic whirlwind of waves still live and even thrive in this storm of water. That even parts of the universe that do nothing but destroy itself over and over still contain life. That there was structure to madness, anarchy yet peace, destruction yet order, there was chaos yet harmony. Life and death in rinse and repeat. That even if he's truly alone right now, he still had the Force with him.

Luke didn't remember when he fell asleep on the beach. The only thing he really remembers was the blue aura of the plankton dancing in the waves. It reminded him of the hyperspace tunnel he went through before coming into this strange reality.

Notes

Well, that's the end of the Star Crossed Arc, honestly, I definitely lingered here longer than I should of. Anyway, I planning to do some stuff between the end of Star Crossed and the Initiation Episode, There'll be a buildup and Luke will be in it as well. Also planning Luke to go into his first mission soon, just gotta draw it up. Of course, I'm planning on someone having to be force-sensitive since Luke is in this universe and he'll train them so stay in tune for that. If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions on who should be Luke's love interest then give them a shout I would Like to hear it, or if you don't think he should have one also comment. If you guys have any comments, gripes, or any advice please let me know.
