Chapter 71 Dark Encounter

On another part of the planet, Fright Knight, Vid, Download, and Thrash were exploring the outside of the castle. Fright Knight could sense a dark presence from the castle and thought it needed to be investigated. He also sensed a couple of faint Force energy signatures coming from the city, but couldn't get a lock on them. Right now his current concern was the dark presence he felt from the castle. Download had done some research through some old archives and found what he believed to a secret entrance to the lower levels of the castle. He led the way as he felt around an old moss covered section of the castle wall and hit a small switch. A section of wall opened up revealing a tunnel. Fright Knight gave Download a nod of approval before he pulled out his lightsaber and activated it. The rest of the group pulled out their own weapons and they went down the tunnel. Several minutes later they entered a large chamber with some stairs. The group was fixing to move on, when two dozen palace guards armed with spears and blasters stepped out of the shadows and surrounded the group. Freakshow and Lydia appeared at the top of the stairs and looked down at the intruders.
"Well this is certainly a surprise. Not only did some intruders find that old secret entrance, but one of them is armed with a lightsaber. I wonder if his Force sensitive." Said Freakshow as he raised his staff.
The orb on the staff began to glow red and at that moment Fright Knight's mind began to be violently bombarded by an unseen force. Fright Knight realized that the dark presence he sensed was Freakshow as he fell to his knees grasping the side of his helmeted head with his free hand. The palace guards began to move in and Vid and the others quickly formed a protective ring around Fright Knight.
"Now tell me what your doing here and I might consider sparing your lives." Said Freakshow.
Fright Knight gritted his teeth in frustration. One part of him wanted to refuse answering and fight his way out, but as long as Freakshow and whatever powers he had, were at play, the odds were not in his team's favor. The other part of him said there was no real harm in telling Freakshow his mission and he might get a potential ally.
"I'm on a mission from...Darth Vader to seek out the Jedi aiding the Rebels in this system and destroy them." Said Fright Knight.
A look of surprise and interest passed over Freakshow's face. He waved his hand calling off the guards and telling them to step back. The bombardment on Fright Knight's stopped and he was able to stand up. Fright Knight deviated his lightsaber and told Vid and the others to lower their weapons. Freakshow and Lydia went down the stairs and faced Fright Knight and his team.
"So you work and answer to Darth Vader himself. Very fascinating. I think the two of us can help each other out." Said Freakshow.
Fright Knight stare at Freakshow and nodded his head in agreement.
