Chapter 79 Dragon

Danny looked on in both awe and horror as a massive creature crept out of the shadows of the gate and stood before him. It was a black scaled red eyed Arkanian dragon! The beast titled it's head back and unleashed a powerful blast of fire into the air. Danny noticed a strange looking metal collar around the dragon's neck. The crowd was going wild at the sight.

Up in the royal box both Sam and Dora were giving Aragon looks of concerns.

"Um...brother don't you think this is a bit much? I understand you think this young man is a threat, but wouldn't it be simpler to have the guards arrest him and hold him, as we alert the Empire of this?" Asked Dora.

"Yeah shouldn't we give Danny a trial first to see if his actually guilty of anything? Those were some pretty big accusations you made there." Said Sam.

"Oh I have it on good authority that man is a Jedi and a member of the Rebels. He is a threat to my rule and kingdom. I suppose I could have him arrested and turned over to the Empire, but where is the fun in that? This man must be made an example of and I plan to do just that and make a show of it. I am in charge and my rule is law." Said Aragon.

"Very good sir. Show the people your power." Said Freakshow with a grin.

Aragon pulled out a remote control with a few buttons on it and pressed a red button on it. Down in the arena a bunch of electricity came out of the collar around the dragon's neck making it roar in pain and anger.

"Go forth and destroy the Jedi, monster!" Ordered Aragon.

The dragon turned towards Danny and stomped towards him.

"Oh crud!" Thought Danny.

The dragon unleashed a blast of fire at Danny, forcing him to dive down and shoot between the dragon's legs. Danny quickly jumped to his feet and attempted to jump onto the dragon's back, but the beast's tail shot out and slammed into Danny knocking him away. The dragon chased after Danny and attempted to chomp down on Danny with it's jaws, but Danny shoved his sword into the creature's mouth jamming the creature's mouth open. The beast reared back shacking it's massive head as it tried to dislodge the sword from it's mouth, as Danny quickly fled and put some distance between himself and the dragon. The dragon managed to get the sword out of it's mouth and went after Danny. The crowd cheered excitedly.

"This is insane! You have to put a stop to this!" Yelled Sam looking at Aragon.

"This is justice as well as entertainment for the masses! It will not stop!" Declared Aragon.

"Brother please stop this madness!" Begged Dora.

"Silence!" Yelled Aragon with a glare.

Dora cowered beneath her brother's glare. Sam just glared back at Aragon and clenched her hands into fist.

"You if all will excuse me I have to go and make a few preparations incase any surprises happen and try to ruin everything." Said Freakshow with a grin as he strolled away.

Back in the arena Danny had reclaimed his sword and was dodging the dragon's fire breath and snapping teeth. The dragon then flapped it's wings and began to circle the arena as it attacked Danny. Luckily the force field was strong enough to contain the beast.

From the sidelines Tucker, Wulf, and Valerie watched everything unfold. They knew that Danny couldn't beat the dragon on his own. He needed help and more space and the only way they could help Danny was by shutting the shield generator down. The trio of Rebels went into the castle with Tucker leading the way.
