Chapter 120 Hunt Start

In the courtyard of Hotep Ra's island a crowd consisting of various bounty hunters, criminals, and mercenaries stood gathered and waiting for Hotep Ra to make a grand announcement. Gathered above the bounty hunters, criminals, and mercenaries, on a series of balconies were gang leaders, crime lords, and high ranked members of the criminal underworld gathered together to witness a great hunt and make a good bit of money. Soon Hotep Ra appeared on balcony facing the hunters. Hotep Ra smiled and began to make a grand speech.
"Thank you all for coming to this grand event. This will be a hunt to remember. One of you or maybe a group of you will kill two of the most wanted people in the Amitrax System! You will be hunting the Rebel Jedi known as Phantom and the bounty hunter turned Rebel, Valerie. Both of these individuals have a high bounty placed on their heads and are wanted dead or alive, though the goal here for our little game is to kill the two targets."
The crowd snickered at this and Hotep Ra continued speaking.
"The rules for this hunt are pretty simple. Find the targets and kill them by any means necessary. You may go out it alone or you may form an alliance with your fellow hunters. Also you are not allowed to kill each other. You're allowed to trick and incapacitate other, but no killing. Any questions?"
"Will the two targets be armed?" Asked Skulker.
"As of right now the targets have been disarmed of their weapons. The weapons have been placed in clearings around the island for the targets to reclaim. You may allow them to retrieve their weapons and gear or you can set an ambush up for them. Also the targets are shackled together and the key to their shackles is in another clearing. Anything else?" Said Hotep Ra.
Nobody said anything.
"Good now the targets are on the south part of the island and should be coming to about now, so you all better get going and hunt them down." Said Hotep Ra.
The crowd of hunters stomped out of the gate and headed into the jungle. Hotep Ra turned to his other guests and spoke.
"Thank you all for coming ladies and gentlemen of the criminal underworld. I'm happy to see you all. Now let's get to placing bets on which lucky hunter will be the one to kill the targets and claim victory. It's anybody's game."
The crowd of people began to place their bets, all except one man and that man was Big Daddy. Big Daddy was an associate of a few of the crime lords and had done some business with them over the years, so he had been invited to the event with some of his men. Once he heard who the hunters's targets were, he snuck off to the restroom and had a quick call to his contacts in the Rebels and told them what was going on and where he was at. Hopefully help and rescue would arrive quickly to save Phantom and Valerie. Big Daddy returned to the event and pretended to be invested in it by placing a bet on his man, Box Guy, who had entered the hunt to prove himself as a dangerous man.
In a clearing a few miles away from the base Danny was laying on the ground in a clearing, groaning as he slowly opened his eyes. The last thing he remembered was being hit by some gas a stun blast in the back of a hovercraft and the next thing he knew he was in what appeared to be a jungle. Danny saw that he still had his mask on and when he sat up he noticed there was a shackle on his left wrist that was connected to Valerie's right as she laid a few feet away from Danny. Valerie still had her helmet on and she seemed to be waking up as well.
"Where are we?" Asked Valerie.
"Well we're not in the city that's for sure." Said Danny.
A small hologram device turned on and a grinning life size hologram of Hotep Ra appeared before the two Rebels.
"Ah I see that the prey is a awake that's good. It would be a boring and short hunt if the prey was sleeping." Said Hotep Ra.
"What's going on? Why are we here?" Demanded Valerie.
"Straight to the point I love that. You see this is both about revenge and business. You two played a role in my late master's death and you did some serious financial damage to the organization I took over. I want revenge, but I also want a lot of money, so why not do both. The two of you are currently on my private island and I just sent a large number of bounty hunters and a few other people to go out and hunt you. My criminal associates are currently placing bets on who's going to be the one to kill you which is quit exciting, so please don't let yourselves get killed off to early." Said Hotep Ra.
"So we're going to have to face off against a bunch of killers shackled together with no weapons to defend ourselves?" Asked Danny.
"Oh your weapons and gear are scattered around the jungle along with the key to your shackles. You just have to sneak by the hunters and find them. Good luck with that." Said Hotep Ra before the hologram vanished.
"Well this is just great. Knowing my luck Terminatra and her flunkies will be some of the people hunting us." Said Valerie.
"Nothing we can do about it. We just need to focus on surviving and getting our gear then maybe we can focus on leaving this island." Said Danny.
With that said the two of them headed into the jungle.
