Chapter 133 Danger

Clockwork, Danny, and Maddie made their way deeper and deeper into the labyrinth taking twist and turns. Every now and then Clockwork would stop to consult the journal about which path was the best one to take. Little by little they were making good progress. Danny and Maddie kept their eyes out for any pursers and they kept their mental defenses up to prevent Wraith and Vlad from sensing their presence or try to get into their minds and give them clues about how to navigate the labyrinth.
Back at the beginning of the labyrinth, Vlad, Wraith, Freakshow, and the Stormtroopers had arrived at the section with the multiple paths. Vlad instructed four Stormtroopers to step forward and investigate some of the paths. The first Stormtrooper entered a path and got a few yards before some arrows shot out of the walls and pierced his chest and neck killing him instantly. The second Stormtrooper took a path and spikes shot up from the ground and impaled the unlucky trooper and killed him. The third Stormtrooper took a path and a few feet in a mechanism became active and a giant rock dropped down from the celling and crushed the Stormtrooper to death. The fourth Stormtrooper nervously made his way down a path for a few yards and for several tense seconds nothing happened.
"I think it's safe!" Called the Stormtrooper to the others.
A few seconds after he said that the ground beneath the Stormtrooper suddenly opened up and he fell down a dark hole with a scream of dismay and terror.
The other Stormtroopers exchanged nervous looks and though neither Vlad or Wraith cloud see their faces beneath their helmets they could sense their fear. This was going to be trickery then Vlad had originally anticipated. At the rate things were going he was either going to lose all his troops to the traps or the troops would simply turn around and run away.
"You certainly aren't making this easy Pandora." Muttered Vlad.
"What should we do master?" Asked Wraith.
"Looks like I'm going to have to use the Force to help figure out which is a safe path to take." Said Vlad.
Vlad walked forward and began to examine the remaining paths with both his eyes and the Force. After a few minutes, Vlad pulled out his lightsaber and carefully walked down one path. Nothing happened.
"It's safe." Said Vlad to the others.
Wraith, Freakshow, and the remaining Stormtroopers followed Vlad down the path. They all made it safely and continued deeper into the labyrinth.
Meanwhile back the temple the Stormtroopers, Vlad had left behind to guard the labyrinth entrance were minding their own business, when they heard a strange deep breathing coming from the shadows of an archway. Two Stormtroopers went to go check it out and were met by a great surprise. A red lightsaber was ignited revealing a tall armored man wearing a mask and cape.
"Vader...?!" Said one of the Stormtroopers before the stranger moved forward and sliced him across the chest and killed him.
The figure stepped out of the shadows revealing he was not Darth Vader, but Dark Laser.
"That's not Vader! That's an imposter!" Screamed the second Stormtrooper as he tried to takeout Dark Laser, but was quickly cut down and killed.
"Kill him!" Ordered a Stormtrooper Captain.
The remaining Stormtroopers open fired on Dark Laser, who moved forward and deflected several of the shots right back at the Stormtroopers, killing several of them in the process. Dark Laser was then joined by several men wearing purple armor who entered the room and opened fire on the Stormtroopers with blasters of their own. The fight went on for a few minutes and the Stormtroopers were losing. The Stormtrooper Captain tried to pull out a communicator and tried to send out a distress signal for backup, but Dark Laser reached him and sliced off the man's head with his lightsaber before he could make the call. The head of the Stormtrooper Captain clattered to the ground and his headless body toppled to the ground a few seconds later. A couple minutes later all the Stormtroopers were dead.
"All enemies in the building have been killed sir." Said a purple armored solider to Dark Laser.
"Good. Now we can proceed with our objective. Soon the Amitrax System will know the name of Dark Laser." Said Dark Laser before he and his forces headed into the labyrinth.
