Chapter 141 Ringing

In the Capitol of Goza City, Jazz sat in her office going through files and reports as she awaited Wraith's arrival for her lessons on government and public relations. Danny and Maddie had told Jazz about the events of the labyrinth and Jazz saw it as a opportunity to help push Wraith away from Vlad and get the girl out from under his influence and join the Rebels and the Fenton family. It was a stretch, but Jazz believed just like Danny that Wraith could be reasoned with and turned.
The door opened and Wraith entered the office. Jazz could tell right away that there was something deep on Wraith's mind due to her facial expression and her body language. It was a whole lot like Danny when he had something on his mind, though that made sense since Wraith was a clone of Danny.
"Hello Wraith. How are you doing today?" Said Jazz giving Wraith a warm smile.
"I'm doing ok I guess." Said Wraith with a small smile as she took a seat across from Jazz.
"Are you sure?" Asked Jazz.
"Yes." Said Wraith.
"You know if there is something bothering you, you can talk to me about it. I'm not just your teacher Wraith, I'm your friend and I'm here for you. You can trust me. Anything you want to talk about will stay between us. If it's some big secret or classified information of the Empire, you don't have to tell me anything. You can just tell me how you're feeling." Said Jazz.
Wraith was silent for a few moments before she let out a sigh and then she spoke.
"Alright I'll talk. Recently I was on a important mission with my master and things didn't exactly go as planned." Said Wraith as she began to talk about what happened without going into too much information about the actual mission.
Jazz quietly sat back and let Wraith talk.
Over at FentonWorks, Danny, Maddie, and Clockwork were opening the safe that held the Ring of Rage. Danny wanted to test the ring and see what would happen if he put it on. Clockwork and Maddie agreed to the little test as long as they were there to look after Danny and supervise him. Danny had been the one to pass the final test of the labyrinth, so it had been decided that he had earned the right to test the ring. Danny took a deep breath and placed the ring on the ring finger of his righthand.
At first nothing happened, but then the scenery around Danny changed and he found himself in Pariah Dark's throne room with Pariah Dark looking down at him with interest.
"Who are you?" Asked Danny.
"I am the creator and master of the ring you ware. I am Pariah Dark." Said the Sith Lord.
"How is this possible? You were killed a long time ago." Said Danny.
"The Dark Side has many powers. One of these powers allowed me to anchor and connect my soul to my ring and crown. Now let's move on to more pressing matters." Said Pariah Dark before he pointed a hand at Danny and used the Force to lift him into the air.
Danny tried to break free, but couldn't.
"You are strong in the Force child and I see a great deal of potential in you. I can help you reach your full potential, crush your enemies, and serve in the new galactic order I plan to create." Said Pariah Dark.
"I'll never join the Dark Side!" Said Danny with a glare.
"I admire your spirit boy, but there is nothing you can do to stop me. Now I shall get the location of where you live and I'll give it to one who has already sworn loyalty to me." Said Pariah Dark before he began to probe Danny's mind.
Danny cried out in pain as he tried to resist the probe. Pariah Dark went through Danny's mind and was getting close to finding out where he lived, when he came across something that got his attention. It was a mental link to another being. Pariah Dark became interested in that and decided to see who the other being, Danny was linked to.
At the Capitol, Wraith had finished her story and was expressing her feelings.
"I...really don't know what to think about my master. I know the mission we were on was important, but a part of me feels abandoned by what he did. I keep telling myself he cares about me, but what if he doesn't?" Said Wraith.
"Well Wraith, I think you should maybe speak to your master about this or maybe find some new less dangerous job in the Empire. You could maybe help me with my job." Said Jazz.
"Maybe...I could." Said Wraith.
Things became suddenly weird for Wraith as the office suddenly vanished and Wraith found herself in Pariah Dark's throne room.
"What's going on? Where am I?" Asked Wraith looking around in confusion before Pariah Dark picked her up with the Force and lifted her up in the air next to Danny.
"Well this is certainly interesting. I would say the two of you were siblings, but that's not quite right now is it. This girl wasn't someone who was born naturally, she was created from...the blood of the boy? Interesting. Yes this is a pleasant surprise. I can really use that." Said Pariah Dark as he probed Wraith's mind.
Danny could only watch helplessly as he tried to figure out a way to get himself and Wraith out of this mess, when suddenly the whole scene vanished and Danny found himself back in FentonWorks and the ring clattering to the floor. Danny blinked his eyes in confusion as both Clockwork and Maddie looked at him with concern.
"What happened?" Asked Danny.
"That ring put you into some kind of trance. I felt that something was wrong, so I used the Force to remove the ring from your hand." Explained Clockwork.
"Oh no Wraith! I have to go back!" Said Danny reaching for the ring, but Clockwork quickly picked it up with the Force.
"What happened to you Danny?" Asked Maddie.
Danny quickly filled the others I on what happened.
"This is worse then I feared. Not only are the crown and ring very powerful, but the spirit of Pariah Dark resides in both of them. Pariah Dark is trying to return and it seems like he might get Vlad to help him." Said Clockwork looking grim.
"How would he do that?" Asked Danny.
"Vlad will help Pariah Dark by giving him a new health clone body created from your DNA. He already created Wraith from your DNA, it wouldn't be that hard for him to create a clone body for Pariah Dark." Said Clockwork.
"Oh no." Said Danny looking horrified by this news.
Everything was quiet.
"I need to put the ring on." Said Danny.
"It's too dangerous and I fear you may not find Wraith back in there. Right now we need to find out where the cloning lab is and destroy it before Pariah Dark returns in a full body." Said Clockwork.
In the Capitol. Jazz looked at Wraith in concern. The young girl looked like she just went into a strange trance. Wraith had been staring ahead for a few minutes and then she just suddenly stood up.
"I must see my master immediately. There is something he needs to here." Said Wraith before she left the office.
"What is going on?" Thought Jazz not sure what to make of the strange situation.
