Chapter 143 Battle Prep

Vlad began to make preparations for Dark Laser's planned attack. The attack would be launched on Goza City on the Capitol and the area surrounding it. A very public and recognized area that would be sure to get the Rebels' attention and lure them and Phantom out into the open. Phantom and the Rebels had the Ring of Rage and they wanted the Crown of Fire, which was in Dark Laser's hands, so they would come to get the ring as well as try to put a stop to Dark Laser and his attack.
Vlad also went about carefully pulling ships from his armada that surrounded and patrolled planet Casper and had them moved to other planets and sectors of the Amitrax System, so they wouldn't attack Dark Laser's ship or interfere with the plan. Any ships Vlad couldn't move away from Casper he had them placed on the far side of the planet or had them go to ports for repairs or equipment maintenance and upgrades. They could fly, but it would take them a fair bit of time to reach Goza City.
Fright Knight's ship the Dagger was moved closer to the planet since Vlad wanted Fright Knight and his crew to do battle with both Dark Laser's forces and the Rebels. Vlad's ship the Leviathan was moved a bit further away from Casper to help keep him and his own forces form joining the battle quickly. Vlad made the excuse that his men were doing combat drills.
As all this was going down, Wraith began to feel a little concerned about the people of Goza City, who would most likely get caught in the battle, especially Jazz. Wraith had gotten attached to Jazz and saw her as a good friend, she didn't want to see come to harm. The next time Wraith had a lesson with Jazz at the Capitol, she decided to give Jazz a little warning.
"Jazz... I think you should take tomorrow off." Said Wraith.
"Whys that?" Asked Jazz.
"Let's...just say I have a...feeling something bad might happen and you don't want to be here." Said Wraith.
"Was...it the Force?" Asked Jazz.
"You...know about the Force?" Asked Wraith.
"I've...read old records of the Jedi Order, after witnessing what you and Phantom did during that pirate attack." Said Jazz.
"Oh. Yeah...the Force...is telling me something bad is going to happen. I don't know what it is, but I think it would be for the best if you weren't in the Capitol tomorrow." Said Wraith.
"Alright, I trust you." Said Jazz.
"Thanks." Said Wraith feeling a bit relieved.
The day ended and Jazz headed home to FentonWorks, where she told Maddie and Danny about what Wraith had told her.
"This is concerning. It seems like a attack on the Capitol and the city is going to go down." Said Maddie.
"But why would Vlad not stop it before it hit the Capitol?" Asked Jazz.
"I don't know, but it's very likely that this is some kind of attack against the Rebels. I need to inform both Clockwork and the Rebels about this." Said Maddie.
Danny decided to use his connection to Wraith to see if he could figure out what was going on. He reached out with the Force to Wraith and though her mind was still guarded from any deep probes, Danny could sense a bit of fear and doubt from his clone.
"Whatever is going to go down, Wraith seems to not like it." Said Danny to Jazz.
The two shared a concerned look for both the city and for Wraith.
Aboard the Leviathan, Wraith approached Vlad in his quarters.
"Master Vlad, I'm...not comfortable with this plan on letting Dark Laser attack Goza City and the Capitol. A lot of people will be hurt and killed in the attack! Surly we can come up with a better plan that wouldn't greatly harm our people." Said Wraith pleading to her master.
"This is war Wraith. Sacrifices must be made to help insure our victory. When all is said and done it will be worth it. A new Empire will rise from the ashes and we will be stronger then ever. You must harden your heart and resolve if you want to succeed in this life." Said Vlad looking intensely at Wraith.
"Yes...master. I understand." Said Wraith with a bow before she left the quarters.
Wraith did not agree with what Vlad was doing and she planned to be in the middle of the battle to help put a quick stop to it.
