This is Part II of the Veterans Day Special. Last time, after being given the rest of the afternoon off from the lab, we saw what a typical afternoon probably looks like for Spider-Man and his amazing friends. Busting crimes across the city and all that. But as we left, Spider-Man swung back to the lab to fix up his suit, and agreed to meet Spyro and Cynder there in the morning. So, how's that meeting going to go? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes back at Octavius Industries, where Spyro and Cynder are just walking in as Spider-Man and Doctor Octavius have started work.)

Spyro: Sorry we're running late.

Octavius: Ah, no worries. You're just in time. Considering there's so much we need to talk about.

Cynder: (Sensing something is off) Should we be worried?

Octavius: Not really. In fact, things are finally starting to make sense. All the projects at the Embassy you have Peter working on, all the lateness between you three. It's all making sense now.

Spyro: (A little wide-eyed) What're you talking about?

Octavius: There's no need to hide anything, Peter told me everything last night when he came back to the lab.

Cynder: (Looking at Spider-Man) Did you leave something here?

Spider-Man: He knows, guys.

Octavius: I just wish you told me sooner that you recruited Peter as Spider-Man's equipment tech.

(At this point, Spyro and Cynder just look at each other, confused as heck. But Spider-Man is playing along with it, and so they decide to as well)

Spyro: We wanted to tell you, Doctor Octavius, believe me.

Cynder: But we...

Octavius: No worries, Peter told me everything. Makes sense really, designing the equipment you three use would place one big target on his back. (Looking to Spider-Man) That reminds me, did you see the email I sent you?

Spider-Man: Yeah, went ahead and sent snapshots to Spidey, he's digging the idea. Already fabricated it.

Octavius: That is excellent! It feels so good to be part of the team!

Spyro: And we're glad to have you, Doctor Octavius.

Octavius: Hey, with everything you guys do for this city, it's the least I can do. (Looking at the clock) There's still a few hours before we get to work for today. Probably would make a good time to deliver our project before we start up. (Leaves the room) I'll see you then!

Cynder: Catch you later, Doctor Octavius!

(And as Doctor Octavius leaves the room, the two dragons look to Spider-Man in disbelief)

Spyro: You told him you were our equipment tech?!

Spider-Man: He caught me working on the suit and came to that conclusion all on his own. I didn't really lie, because I am my own equipment tech.

Cynder: You've got to tell him the truth sooner or later.

Spider-Man: This might be the best cover we've had yet. Now then, what do you say we try the new gear out? There's something for everyone!

(As the three walk off, we transition to outside the lab, where soon enough, Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder are swinging about in new gear.)

Spider-Man: (In his new Advanced Suit) Hello New York! New suit, same old me.

(As Spider-Man swings around in his new suit, we see Spyro and Cynder got new gear as well. Spyro now rocks something resembling a Dragon Ball Scouter over his left eye, and Cynder has donned a new headset, complete with miniature microphone, and both of them donning vests marked with their respective color schemes and covered in magic runes)

Spider-Man: See? I told you this would look good!

Spyro: Got to admit, this eyepiece is pretty cool.

Cynder: And this headset is great! Feel's nice to not have the arch get stuck in my horns anymore.

Spider-Man: Now all we need is a situation to test this stuff out. Especially since there's features in your vests that I think you'll like.

(And as if to answer his request, Yuri rings the group)

Yuri: Spider-Man, Spyro, Cynder. Got some news.

Spyro: What's the situation, Captain?

Yuri: I think we've finally cracked the last mystery of Wilson Fisk.

Cynder: That being?

Yuri: How his men are keeping the rackets running. Construction Sites.

Spider-Man: Wait, wasn't that shut down on Fisk's arrest?

Yuri: It's a legitimate business. Multiple investors involved. Can't act without a warrant.

Spyro: Sounds like you've got it now though.

Yuri: That's where you three come in. I was hoping you could keep an eye on the sites around the city. See if anything suspicious is going down.

Cynder: We're on it. One of them is near where we are. We'll swing by and see what we can find.

Spider-Man: Just consider me your nosy neighborhood Spider-Man.

(And with that, the group swings off towards a nearby construction site, ending our tale for today)
